Hey there Toady Lickin’ Roadies!
Bouncing by with your quick reminder that Phase 5 will be dropping on in sometime AFTER 3PM Pacific today!
This means we will have more items added to the game, a possible Musician change, maybe even more Event Staff? Not sure what all changes will be coming, but just make sure you are ready to go when it hits.
Due to the new Phase coming, I wanted to quickly run down a few tips.
LEADERBOARD
Again, just wanted to ensure everyone knows… the 2nd Leaderboard has been moved one week out. So it will not launch until September 10th. As many of you have already noticed, the Blammy Awards have also been pulled. Now we do not know what the new one will include, so all we can do is wait and see what happens closer to the 10th.
On to the other Basics. Keep in mind these are some suggestions I use, it is up to you if you want to try them out too.
LEAVE ITEMS UNTAPPED
For me, I like to leave some of EVERY item untapped in the game. This can be anything from Buildings, Characters, Spotted Toads, Bee Girls, Bears, etc. This way once the change over happens tapping on these items right after may give me instant access to a new item or Material drop needed.
HAVE SOME MATERIALS STOCKED UP
I don’t know what we will need in Phase 5, but I am trying to stock up on the Honey and Picnic Baskets anyway. I go in my game every few hours to keep resetting the tasks so I have some ready to go in case I need the Beekeepers or Park Rangers for anything new that comes along.
GO ON OR WAIT?
IF a New Musician hits the Stage, we will once again have to clear them off to use it. Due to this, you may want to hold off running an Encore Concert if the items/tasks won’t be useful once the new stuff hits.
For Example, if you JUST start a Character Task for the Encore requirements and the timer won’t end until AFTER Phase 5 hits… you may be wasting your time when new requirements take its place. So… use your personal judgment on this one.
Same goes for buying items in the Merch Kiosk. If you do not need them right now, saving those Materials for when the new stuff hits may be a more beneficial move for you.
REQUIREMENTS
I was able to verify that the same requirements will be needed for the new Phase 5 content. You will need to have finished the Main Questline of Phase 4. This time the Main Questline was Deadmau5 in the Hau5. Part 7 was the final one.
KEEP UP TO DATE
Always check the App Market to make sure you are on the most current App Version of the game. This will ensure you have access to any changes or features that have come along with those Updates. Especially if the new Phase requires some items it has. So it is a good idea to keep an eye out. Put your App Settings on auto update if you want. I have not seen an update yet, nor word of one… but it is always good to double check just before a new Phase hits.
Currently as of writing this post, my iOS is on 1.11.2 Version. My Android is on 1.11.2 as well.

There you have it. Just some quick tips for the end of Phase 4 and the beginning a new one about to start.

It might be live now. I got a new pop up when i launched it but accidently clicked it away, but it was a new one. and someone on facebook mentioned a 50 clam mystery box I havent unlocked herb of course so i cant tell ya much more than that.

Also in a friends town there is a wierd al chair at the end and a rick astley chair between him and Alice. So hopefully its not a clam one for either (I think they had a clam one like that before).

don’t feel bad you’re NOT the only one out there! i need jus a few more glowsticks then i’ll have Carl unlocked and i need a few more things for DJ Herbert as well…PLUS+! i’m2 parts behind or 7 of the main questline..

Has Phase 5 actually hit? I downloaded the iOS update and have completed Deadmau5 or 7 (dj Herbert concert) but nothing has proced yet in regards to new content

I’ve updated the app, the only quests left are true fan challenge, the Herbert pt4, and the clam quest pt3. Am I missing something here for the new phase?

Hope they add more ways to get tickets and/or LP’s for Herbert. Still need a lot of tickets and a few LP’s, gonna be way behind by the time I unlock the skin. Couldn’t afford the clam deal that gave the extra tickets this time around.

Thanks as always! Kind of glad to hear the leaderboard was pushed back a week, since it’s a holiday weekend in the US (which means less playing time for me) and I’m not quite caught up with Phase 4 anyway. Finally got my last golden ticket for DJ Herbert early this afternoon, but that 10 hour task to unlock his concert means that I’ll be asleep when it finally rolls around. Not too bad, since I doubt I would have made much progress (if any) tonight on the next phase due to said sleeping. ^_^
Pretty sure you ladies are in the US as well, so have a nice Labor Day!

Still need 13 tickets, 10 magazines and 6 LP’s (or 430 clams, ha!) for DJ Herbert. Just did Peter’s concert. Excited to see what’s next!

will we find out the results of that poll? Since falling behind in phase 3 this has now put me behind in phase 4 and no will be putting me behind in phase 5. I have not been able to do a concert in like 2 weeks because i have fallen behind. I need 2500 glowsticks for carl and the only way to get massive amount of glowsticks is through concerts. Trying to get them through task just takes forever. Is anyone else having similar problems with falling behind?

This isn’t a complaint nor a “pitchfork & torches” post just an observation.
I decided to play this event as a freeium player. It is clear regardless of how often you log in your always 1-2 days behind the next upgrade. great buisness model as you must spend clams to keep up, not so good for fun tho.
I know you gals say you have nothing to do with tiny but you also talk to the head guys farmore then we ever could (email and such won’t reach their ears).
I honestly think they should just start running two events. One for free one for pay, wouldn’t be much more work to add in pay content downloads. Be a tad bit more work on your guys part but it does solve a lot of the common complaints you see here.
Just a thought you might shoot past them.
Btw I still rooting for a bunny themed event.

They need to make events like past ones, such as comic con, where you don’t need to unlock any character for the main questline so you can progress on and have a choice on who you work on, now I will miss out on characters because I need to work on a pointless costume for herbet

I can’t decide which method I like better, TSTO oe this game. In TSTO once the time is up, it’s up, you can’t get the character without donuts. In this game you get stuck and can’t get things towards the end of the event because of stuff that happens way earlier.
It would be nice if there was some sort of middle ground. At least let me start collecting stuff for the next week, or give me the option to skip a character if I really don’t care that much about them.

I imagine that we will get Rick Astley in this part as the end of the questline was about him. Presumably we will also get the Stewie skin, and a new mystery box would not surprise me. I bet that next week we will get Weird Al and the Greased Up Deaf Guy. I hope this doesn’t hit too late, I never know if I should send characters in tasks or not as when the updates hits, it is early in the morning. A bit worried about completing things(and with Tapped Out) as I’m back to college(UK) next week.
It is my birthday on Saturday, so I may add some money to both to buy things and keep as a fall back if I won’t unlock or finish things.

Still five records away from DJ Herbert, then I have to run his concert. Not enough gold Bears appearing and slow basket generation (plus most baskets were eaten by the challenge).

I’m all ready for the next phase, I have 201 Honey, and 99 Picnic Baskets stockpiled. I’m holding off on buying Clams until the next phase hits just incase there’s a Clam deal, as there was one last week I doubt there will be, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. As for the what will come with the next phase, I’m hoping for Rick Astly and Stewies outfit, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see another Mystery Box too. I’m really looking forward to this next Phase, as I’ve been really enjoying this event. 🙂

Hi. What are the HeadPhones for? I cannot find a character or item to use them on. Also, when does the Greased-up Deaf guy start dropping lighters? I have been working on Herbert for 7 days and have gotten the Deaf Guy every day since he was released, and have not received one lighter. Just curious.

As for the Lighters, don’t anticipate them from GUDG, he was more a fail safe just in case a Player spent them from the Concerts on the DJ Booth instead of DJ Herbert, but they are intended to come from mainly Concerts. So get Carl as soon as you can and clear the Concert requirements for Peter to get it going.

ALL Characters will stay til end of the Event to work towards unless tagged with a timer. The only two so far were very clearly labeled with a Timer, Meg & Brian in the Kiosk. So they are the only two so far that were limited. 🙂
