While they’re working on the issue, they’ve found that ANY item next to the Battle areas is disappearing.
In other words ANY Building or Decoration by Santa’s Village, Fake Trees, or Misfit Toys Camp Battles… MOVE THEM NOW. This will help prevent any further loss of items.
UPDATE 12/23: TinyCo still working on patches.
If you lost any Characters from the glitch, try to pull them out of limbo by another task.
For instance look for a joint take with Peter and another Character (like Quagmire or Jermoe). Selecting the joint task is helping in some cases to bring them back. Otherwise all we can do is wait. Sorry.
For those with crashing issue from update, let me know please if better now.
UPDATE 7PM EST: Heading home soon, but wanted to let you know they’re still working on issues.
Crashing issue they’re testing patch now and hope to have it done by as early as tonight.

Bouncing by with a few updates to things going on in the game. The 48hr Weekly Challenge hit our games last night and now this morning it seems an odd glitch is plaguing Players.
WEEK 2 CHALLENGE-48HR TIMER
First up, the Weekly Challenge. Again, these WILL tend to be hard. It is up to you to decide if you want to proceed with them and if they are really worth it to YOU to complete. Just know that Clams may be required to do so.
The Christmas Curtis Challenge
Santa Starts
Attack the Broken Toy Camp 3 Times: This is just starting an Attack
Attack the Fake Xmas Tree Far 4 Times: This is just starting an Attack
Have Sarah Connor Clear 5 Robotic Mistfit Toys: 1hr each. These spawn 2 about every 4-6hrs in my game and ONLY allow two MAX in your town at a time
Have Kevin Swanson Go through the Drill 3 Times: 6hrs each
Remember as soon as you trigger this you ONLY have 48hrs to complete it.
***I will have more on this later as I have to wait for the Spawns too in order to complete it.***
Award is a walking Decoration, so go to Quahog to pull it out of Inventory in the Decorations tab.
MISSING/ RESTARTED VEHICLE GLITCH
There is a very odd new glitch hitting the games and I am not sure what is triggering it. I have already reported this and am awaiting response (though they usually are not in until 7-9AM Pacific). I will update when I hear more. In the meantime if YOU are experiencing this, report it from your game and comment below EXACTLY what happened in your game when it hit.
Many Players are commenting that their Humma or their Blocko just reset. It disappeared from the game and now is asking them to buy it again. This has not hit my game personally so I am relying on those of you it did hit to be my eyes and tell me what you are seeing. Did a questline trigger before this happened? What were you doing in the game just prior to this happening? Was someone on a task there? What Level were you on in the Vehicle? Etc. Pretty much any details shared in the comments below that I can pass on. Screenshots will help to showing the items missing and the place where to tells you to buy them again. You can email those to me at familyguyaddicts@gmail.com
Hang in there in the meantime and hopefully we can get this one cleared up fast.
APP MARKET UPDATE
For many of you having issues with Santa or Camo Peter “bailing” on the Battles, there is a patch in the App Market that should help resolve this. I left my iPod at home, so can’t confirm iOS hit, but I do know it in Google Play. Make sure you go and Update to the 1.15.5 version of the App to make sure game keeps running.
***Side Note: For those with the missing Vehicle glitch, did this hit AFTER you updated the app? If not, does updating the app resolve it?

this is getting massively frustrating, I’ve lost the north pole bed and breakfast so cannot progress, I completed the second weekly challenge for the christmas cat and go nothing despite having over 12 hours left on the timer, now I can’t do any more quests due to missing buildings and I’ve been ripped off working a quest well within the time limit and getting no reward.

I have the same problem. I have forced closed the app and restarted my device but the building is still missing. I messaged TinyCo so now I wait. Have you had any luck?

I am sorry if this already posted, but I didn’t see it if it did. My issue is crashing on load. The load screen completion bar goes all the way up and the app crashes instead of the game launching.

It started when I tried to open my game around 5pm 12/23/15

My weekly challenge is not popping up…is there anything in specific I have to do in order to trigger it? Also my 3rd page of event prizes has not popped up either. I am very confused as it seems that I am collecting event currency to build up for no reason. I am already collecting for the brian skin but can not unlock the area.
Very confusing stuff. Seems that there are a lot of glitches in this event!

Everything has specific unlock points. For instance, you can’t get Phase 3 items in your game unless you completed all of Phase 2. So if there are still tasks on the Main Questline for Phase 2, that has to be finished for Phase 3 to start. If you go to the Event page (Nutcracker Stewie icon on home page) you will see links to all the posts, including the live weekly launches. Those will all tell you WHERE you need to be to start that Phase. 😉

Any building that was next to the very first battle area disappeared little by little as I clicked the check mark above the conquered buildings. 1 building disappeared with the first click, one more on the second click, and the rest next to the battle area once the last check mark was clicked and the battle area was reset. I noticed the ice fort (can’t remember exact name but it cost 1,500 coins and drops bells when harvested) was back in the store and available to buy and build again as if I never had it to begin with. The other buildings that vanished were rewards from exchanging presents (the very first rewards page we started with.

Aaarggghhh!!!!!! Both the Blocko Hovercraft and the Nutcracker Truck, along with there hangars, have now disappeared from my game. They both went AWOL the first time that I collected from their corresponding districts after updating to v1.15.5. Interestingly, I hadn’t suffered from the glitch that this patch was intended to resolve. On a brighter note, all the drivers reappeared after I force closed my game, so that’s a small consolation. I’ve messaged TinyCo from within my game and can now only eagerly wait for the fix, while I lament the medals and presents that I’ll miss out on. I hope that my leader board ranking doesn’t suffer too much as a consequence. I’m also hoping that my Humma doesn’t decide to do a vanishing act as well!

I’m encountering a bizarre glitch.
That male character with the pistols and eyepatch has disappeared from my game while I’m collecting his items, and there’s a strange check mark on a building that doesn’t disappear when I click on it.
And lastly, when I click on the final destroyed building’s check mark after Kevin Swanson finished the raids, Consuela suddenly appears with a game error: “Attempting to add points to a locked character”. And the game reloads all over again, but the check mark doesn’t go away, and Consuela just keeps on appearing no matter how many times I try the basics. And I’ve messaged Tinyco.

I have a new issue. I set Kevin to attack and somehow Snake amd Stewie ended up joining him even though I don’t have Snake yet or have Stewie ‘ s costume. When trying to clear them after the battle I get Consuela saying I am trying to add points to a locked player, then the game crashes, so I cannot free Kevin or Stewie or gain more nuts. Has this been reported yet. Sent them an email but they have ignored my other 10 regarding the banned status of the leaderboard. Thanks!

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. But Snake disappeared from in front of the building he was at while Im in the process of collecting to unlock him. Also when I attack the tree area I cant collect from the fourth checkmark just tells me Im collecting for a character that doesnt exist. I have contacted tinyco with screenshots and am waiting foe a response.

I have a different kind of glitch than what’s been talked about. My nutcracker truck isn’t disappearing, but after it was done and had the red X over it, it doesn’t go back to normal. It went back to where the vehicle is normally kept but it still has the red X over it, and I get this error saying “Attempting to add points to a locked character”. If it involves the one driving the vehicle, I did unlock Kevin Swanson and he was the only one driving it when the glitch happened. This glitch also happened before I installed the recent update, but it’s still around even after the update. So currently I am unable to use Kevin or collect chestnuts.

Just moved all of my buildings away as instructed. The nutcracker truck finished up, but when I tapped the “x”, it states “attempting to add points to a locked character”. Also, I haven’t unlocked Snake, but he disappeared. The Pine Tree Bunker is there, but no Snake.

Kevin swanson is stuck on raid and when I complete it game crashes telling I’m trying to add points to a locked character… and I lost snake plissken which wasn’t unlocked so I can’t continue or finish the 48 hours challenge

I haven’t had any items disappear, but Kevin Swanson is locked in the tree battle. There’s a red ‘X’ on top of the hangar, but when I press it, the game crashes. Also, I still needed the two guns to unlock Snake Pliskin, but he mysteriously disappeared. I still have the building he came with, but he’s just gone. I have no idea where he could’ve gone since he still needed more items to unlock, and he wasn’t timed. Reported everything to TinyCo…

Not sure if this is one of the errors, but I just started getting the error message “Attempting to add points to a locked character” when I check off the second building from Kevin Swanson’s attack. This is not my first attack and things have been going well until this error. I was able to collect from the first buliding and I tried going thru his pending task to locate him and it take me to the main ten area. I had to email Tinyco directly since I cannot email from my game, will not leave the outbox. I installed the update today to see if that would work and nothing changed. Just thought I would mention it. Meanwhile, at least the rest is working.

I am having lots of problems. I have about 30 minutes left in the challenge and all I have left for it is for Kevin to do the drill one more time. I went into my game to complete it and he is no where to be found. Apparently he is attacking the Fake Trees which I did not tell him to do. When I try to hit the “X” to get him out it says “Cannot add points to locked characters.” My game then hard resets and nothing changes. I also noticed that Snake is nowhere to be found and I have not unlocked him yet, but I am still able to get items for him. I already messaged Tinyco but wanted to let you guys know to see if this is already a problem or if anyone else is having this problem.

Stewie also appears to be locked in the truck with Kevin and snake. I did not have the stewie skin nor was he doing any event related tasks.
Also, I assigned Santa to attack in the humma and it automatically added peter to the attack.

My glitch was a bit different, I had sent Kevin on a battle and next time I checked my game I couldn’t find snakes, I am still unlocking him, anyway I checked to see remaining time on battle and it showed , Kevin , snakes, and stewie doing the battle. When it ended it gave me no reward, earned or unearned and put an X on the vehicle garage. When I tapped that it said I was trying to collect on an unearned character and consuela came up with a help button. The help button opened up an email to tinyco with all the codes and message that I just recieved. I did send them a note but no reply yet. I can still play I just don’t have any access to Kevin so could be worse I guess.

I think the disappearing humma has something to do with the update. Seems to be the common thread. The unlocking method doesn’t work (I’m guessing post update too). This is what I reported:
“I had Santa and Peter on a quest when it required me to update my game. After updating my game, I clicked to claim the prize and although it “dropped” the items, it did not add to my count AND Peter and Santa disappeared. I tried unlocking them with another character and it still said they were unavailable. I only have 9 hours to claim the robot (24 hour quest) and I was so close until it locked my Santa and Peter. What do I do?”

Update: What when from disappearing buildings has now moved on to account lockout. I can’t log in on any device at all. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling on multiple devices, and deleting the entire directory after uninstall, I cannot log in. Game loads and then crashes out back to my desktop. I’ve message TinyCo both from their responder in game (not sure how that’s possible without the game running), via email at help@tinyco.com, and from their support page. There’s still no response. They really have put their foot in it this time. This really may be the last straw for them in my eyes. At least I can deal with bring frustrated about drops…but this, this is a whole other animal!

Good news – I finally unlocked Affordable Elf Housing so I can now get the 2 hand guns to complete Snake. Bad news – as soon as I unlocked it, Snake disappeared and showed as being an additional driver of the truck in the fake trees thingy. So I waited for the task to complete, and 1) both Kevin and Snake have disappeared; and 2) there’s an “x” over the truck and when I hit it I get Consuela saying “attempting to add points to a locked character” When I hit “OK” the game just shuts down and resets. And when I hit “help” it opens an email window to TinyCo. So I sent them 2 emails about all of this. I know that its too early for a reply, but in the meantime, I can’t move forward on the main questline since I’ m on part 4 where I have to upgrade the truck to level 4, and because of all above, I can’t access the truck, or Kevin Swanson. And Snake is gone, gone, gone.

I am now getting a Game Error message saying “Attempting To Add Points to a Locked Character” when I tap on the X above the Nutcracker Truck after completing a battle. I’ve been completing these battles with Kevin just fine over the last 4 days. I’m no longer able to do any more of these battles and Kevin is locked in the truck. Anyone else getting this error message?

I just had a vehicle related glitch. I had upgraded the nutcracker truck to take three of four, but when I went to clear it, there were four check marks. Clearing the fourth one gave the error “Attempting to add points to a locked character” and the game crashes.
So now Kevin is stuck, and I just noticed Snake Plisken is “gone”, even though I am still working on items for him (and they show at the character level that is working on them). Maybe because Kevin is in limbo?
I reported the first part and will update them on Snake.

I had no problem until right now – snake plissken is missing, even though I hadn’t even unlocked him yet, and I can’t end the attack on the christmas trees. When I tap on the red x, it says “Attempting to add points to a locked character”; the game resets, and the red x is there again, and no Kevin in sight., Can’t attack the trees again, either.

Only odd thing: when I released Kevin from the vehicle by tapping the red x, Stewie was coming out alongside him, even though he wasn’t in there. Have not purchased Nutcracker Stewie either. Maybe Kevin got lonely during the night…

Kevin just went AWOL in my game. Reported it to TinyCo. I updated the app a few hours ago. Sarah is unlocked, Snake is placed but not unlocked. Had just collected from Kevin’s second battle, the truck is still on level 1. There was no ! above the tree, which was initially intact, but later the truck began to spit out electricity (while outside the district) and the first tree was cut down. The truck was first in the district with an X, clicking on it brought up Consuela- she said I was trying to add points to a locked character. Then the game restarted, the truck was now by the garage, still crashy. Moved the garage, there’s a truck image in there but the crashy truck with the X didn’t move with it. Kevin’s tent is still there and he’s still listed as placed, not in FaceSpace or inventory. Everything else is working normally so far, just collected from and reset Lyle and Santa in the hummer. As Bunny suggested, I moved everything as far as I could from the battle areas, but that’s only a couple of inches onscreen (iPhone 5). Kevin really doesn’t like combat….
Excuse me now while I prepare to outrun a tornado. In late December. In the Midwest. Where it’s been raining more or less for 24 hours. On December 23, for gosh sakes. What is this, Honolulu? At least I don’t have to shovel snow.

I have tried all I could to get Santa and Peter back. Tried using Jerome task with Peter, but I just get the message peter is missing. I have moved the stuff away from the villages but thay really isn’t going to do much now at the fact o can’t attach the ice and Santa village. I can just use Kevin to attack. So now for 2 days I have been stuck. Tinyco has yet to respond. This is getting frustrating

Right now they are flooded. I doubt any replies will be coming anytime soon to be honest. It is easier for sites like me to pass the info on to thousands, then them go through thousands of emails one by one. You are not the only one having issue (as you can see in this very post). Just hang in there. I will keep updating as I get info back. Not really much more you can do but wait. Sorry.

Can someone please tell me what is the 2nd 24 hr challenge prize is? Is it Curtis the Dog? Also is the 24 hr challenge the same as the challenge 2 in which you get the kitty in the Santa costume as the grand prize? If so, I completed the 24 hr challenge and the 2nd challenge is not checked off, it still has a big ?.

I feel like I have an unrelated glitch, but maybe not. When trying to clear Kevin from his raid a screen pops up that says Game Error, Attempting to add points to a locked character. If I click ok it restarts the game in the same place. Snake has disappeared too, his building is there but he’s MIA. Haven’t unlocked him yet either. Sent TinyCo a message.

I think I have a different glitch than whats posted here. For some reason i cant get kevin Swanson away from the 3hr battle task. Anytime i hit the X, consulea pops up with a msg saying error attempting to add points to locked character.

I’ve got a bug I haven’t seen posted here yet. I have Kevin on fake trees, levelled up enough to take out all four. The first three curse just fine, but when I try to collect from the fourth, I get “Attempting to add points to a locked character.” After clicking OK, it reloads the game, and now Snake is no longer in front of the bunker. All I need to unlock him are the two pistols from the next HQ prize, for which I still need 300-ish gifts. Waiting for a reply from TinyCo. I just hope I haven’t lost progress on collecting all the other items and Kevin’s task.

Got the Consuela Error, “Attempting to add points to a locked Character.” The character in question is probably Kevin who was attacking the fake tree fort? (Update: might be Snake Plissken too – just noticed he is missing now also, I was still getting items for him).
I collected the “stuff” from one of the attacks with Kevin’s in the truck and the truck ended up with the big red X on it instead of one of the buildings. Anyway, Kevin is now locked in the truck.
The error screen gives me two options: I can send an email to TinyCo, which I did. After sending the messaage it reboots the game the game. OR I can click on the “okay” button which reboots the game. As long as I do not touch Kevins truck, I can play, but progression will be impossible with Kevin character locked away, not being able to attack the Fake Tree Village, not being able to finish getting Snake Plissken(Kurt Russell), and now not being able to get to the next week’s content because the questline requires characters that are now locked / missing from the game.
Did all the basic stuff even to the point of deleteing and reloading the game. Any other suggestions? Does Kevin have any duel tasks with anyone? Any suggestions to get Snake back?

I’m having two problems – Snake is missing, no longer sitting in front of his building. But items are still collecting for him, I just can’t see the count or complete the checked-off items. And now Kevin just finished a battle in Fake Trees and when I click on the “X”, I get a pop-up: “Attempting to add points to a locked character”. All I can do is click OK and it resets the game. Hard resets don’t help. Is this the same issue being worked on?

I just messaged them, but letting you know that I had just started to gather the items for Snake, but when I logged back on he is missing from my pine tree bunker.
I’m sure there is a joke in there somewhere.

Game is loading now but Kevin is stuck in the truck and tapping on the red zone above the truck gives the following error:
“Attempting to add points to a locked character” then the game closes.
Snake and his collection balloons are gone as well. I was so close to unlocking him too.

I am almost done with the 48hr weekly. I have Kevin attacking the fake Christmas tee farm. I have about 2.5 hrs left for the challenge and only need to take the farm one more time. The issue is I can’t get Kevin to finish the attack. When i click on the X, I get an error screen saying I am trying to add points to a locked character which ends up restarting my game. I am going to miss out on the challenge if this doesn’t get fixed soon.

Just lost the following buildings:
Naughty or Nice Surveillance Center, Reindeer Training Facility, Christmas Armory, and North Pole Bed & Breakfast. They were sitting next to a battle ground and they deleted after starting act 3 yesterday. I have reported it, but if you have not started act 3, move your buildings.

In my case is Kevin who is locked. I cannot click on the red cross after one attack, and that prevents attacking again. Besides, I was about to get Snake, but he dissappeared, although the building is still there. But he is not, and I cannot see the two missing objects I still need to get.
Any tips I can try apart from waiting?

After yesterday, where Peter and Santa disappeared from Santas Village, now today also Kevin went to Nirvana. This is just confusing and frustrating. I now only can send Sarah Connor to a task and thats it.
Both times after finishing the attack to the village and tapping on the red cross.

Hi there. None of my vehicles disappeared. But after finishing one attack with the nutcracker, when I try to click on the red cross, to start again, it says “attempting to add points to a locked character”. So it looks like Kevin, the character I was using to attack is locked, and that prevents finishing the attack. And I cannot try any other task until I finish the attack. I already notified it, and it is quite bad luck, as it was only my second attack after getting him some hours ago. I am far behind and this makes things even worst…
Does anyone have some tips that may work apart from waiting?

I seem to have the opposite problem. It looks like a gained a character because Snake is missing as if I unlocked him. Also only Kevin was sent to attack in the nutcracker for 3/4 damage. However, the battle is over and there are 4 winning check marks and when I click on the 4th check mark I get an error message saying trying to add points to a locked character. Then my game reboots. Is acting as though both Kevin and snake are attacking the tree field. I’m still waiting for a response from TinyCo.

I lost my new character from district 3 just now. Got a message when I clicked on the ! On top of the vehicle’s building saying that ” attempting to add points to a locked character” and the game restarts. Very annoying!

I am experiencing a different glitch. I already reported it to TinyCo. I have a red X over the nutcracker truck and when I click on it, I receive the error “Attempting to add points to locked character”. I seem to have been hit by a different version of the vehicle/character glitch. It’s kind of the opposite. My third vehicle now has Stewie, Snake & Kevin driving it; even though I haven’t bought Stewie (he’s still available to buy in Al’s), and was 5 hours from unlocking Snake. Tried restarting my device and they’re still there.
Got another 90 minutes before the attack ends so I wonder what’s gonna happen to them then…
