Boomsday Phase 2 Is Here! UPDATED

It’s the End of the World as we know it… and I feel… TOTALLY FREAKED THE FRAK OUT!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Our town is now going to be overrun with Mutant Eggy Weggies, Mutant Stewies, Mutant Humans, and DARYL??!! Oh wait, no, that was the OTHER show. Get back in the house Carl! GET IN THE HOUSE!!

Just what kind of Apocalyptic Cray Cray will this Phase bring? Take a look below and see what will be in store for the 2nd week of the Boomsday Event.

EVENT WILL END THURSDAY MAY 5TH, 2016 @10AM PACIFIC

Apocalypse Peter
First up, the Basics

  • Players will need to Fortify your Gates and complete Peterpocalypse Part 9 in order for Phase 2 to launch.
  • Players will need to be on App Version 1.21.0 so ensure you go to your App Market and download the latest update.
  • Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
  • Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
  • PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
  • Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incompleted Tasks already on your List to make room for more

Back with more in a bit.

For more information on the Event, go to the Event Page HERE.

CHARACTERS

TIMED CHARACTER WARNING!!! Once you go to the Event Area and tap on Commander Jesus, you will have ONLY 7 days to unlock him (All of Phase 2). This includes if you tap on ANYTHING that takes you to him, like a Task “GO” for Apocalypse Peter. If you do not unlock him fully in the 7 days by collecting all of his items, you will lose him.

***Side Note*** I did NOT see him in my Event Area at first (I did after I force closed my game). I can tell you were he is as he just triggered for me. In your Event Area behind the gates, There are two long pads floating on the edge of the sludge water by the Smoke Towers. The Pad that looks empty, I tapped on that and triggered Commander Jesus… so BEWARE. Stay away from that side of the Event Area.

Clams

Once you start into Phase 2, Bonnie will trigger an offer for Clams and Materials for Phase 2.

Smoking Guns
Bonnie Starts

Get 18 Smoke Bombs when you buy $9.99 (USD) or more worth of Clams

For those of you that may want Clams for the Event and to get some Materials to help you out in the Event, keep an eye out for the offer. You will have 2 days to decide to take the offer once you trigger it. Let me know if yours varies from this one.

STEWIE EGGS

Mutant Stewie Egg Piles

Stewie Eggs will begin to appear in Quahog once you begin the Phase 2 Main Questline, Peterpocalypse Again Part 1. I had 4 piles of them drop into my Quahog Roads not long after starting the New Questline, complete with a tentacle wiggling out of the pile.

Once you start to see them, all you do to “Clear” them is tap on them… but know… as soon as you tap on them you will release lil Mutant Stewies into your town. WOOHOO!

Reward: Clearing them gave me +2 CP and ONE Mutant Stewie popped out (though more spawned and ran every direction on the roads at the same time).

MUTANT STEWIES

Giant Stewie

After tapping on the Stewie Eggs, you release lil Mutant Stewies into your Quahog. In order to clear them, you will need to launch Smoke Bombs at them.

***SIDE NOTE*** for those that already have Mutant Stewie the Costume, just remember if he is wandering around that you can’t bomb him. Trust me, I tried… errr… I thought he was one and wasted some Smoke Bombs on him. Lol.

The “Detonator” for the Smoke Bombs can be found in the lower right corner of your game. Tapping on it will bring up the Target Screen. Once you have as many of the Mutant Stewies as you’d like as close to the Center of the sights, Launch a Smoke Bomb by tapping on the Detonator. You will then take out those in the center target area and get your Reward.

Tapping on them will stop them temporarily while they Ink you. Lol. FYI, even though one spawned out, MORE started to run amok all over town. They did NOT stay on the path or to the roads. They will scatter. Corral them the best you can to get the most with one Smoke Bomb.

Smoke BombSmoke Bombs: Clevemire Fold Their Weird Laundry OR Crater Warhead (More noted in FAQ but not verified as I played through, reported) FIXED 4/15 Buddy Cianci Junior High OR Furniture Store

You can also just purchase them for Clams from the Shopping Cart Menu.

12 Smoke Bombs: 130 Clams
24 Smoke Bombs: 245 Clams
36 Smoke Bombs: 340 Clams

MUTANT STEWIE REWARD: Chance Cigarettes (I got +2 and +6 for Bombing 1-2 Stewies), Chance Lambswool Cloaks (I got +3 from one Bombing of 1-2 Mutant Stewies)

MUTANT HUMANS

Mutant Human

These will begin to appear after Peterpocalypse Again Part 4 (or sooner). You will need to create items in the Neutralization Station to clear them (Cure Gun). Essentially it is one of your Characters being taken over and turned Mutant. No worries, if you Character is taken over, they will still continue on what ever task they were currently on. You will just need to Cure them to be able to get the Check Mark to clear the Task.

Just like the Mutant Goldfish, you will place the Cure Gun in FRONT of the Target (aka Mutant Humans) and wait for the Mutant Human to turn PURPLE. Once it is purple, tap the Check Mark to Launch the Cure Gun and take out the Mutant Human.

Reward: Chance of +10 Cigarettes

NEUTRALIZATION STATION

Neutralization Station

You will find this on the Left Side of the Event Area. It looks like a wrecked airplane. Much like previous Events, here will be where you create an item to help you out in the Event. Each item will require specific Materials and time to create it. Once created, you can use it once.

There will be a CAPACITY (how many TOTAL you can have in Queue and complete in your game). My Game Capacity started with 8. You can increase it if you want +4 by spending Clams on Armageddon Stan’s Trailer.

There will be a QUEUE (the MAX amount of items you can craft at a time). My Game Queue was 6 items total can be crafted at a time, up to Capacity.

The NEW Item added to the Neutralization Station is the Cure Guns to create.

Cure Dart GunCure Gun: Will require 1 Cure Dart to create and 45 minutes to craft.

Cure DartCure Dart: Stan Burn Some Wood OR Peter Eat Other People’s Rations OR Neil Goldman Start Post-Apocalyptic A.V. Club OR Herbert Bathe in Dirty Puddles OR Sidewalk Joe Get Blocked OR Cure Dart Plant

POWERPLANT GATE

Power Plant Gates

Tapping on the Gates will tell you how often your “bad guy” will spawn, like the Mutant Goldfish. It will also tell you when the next Upgrade for the Event (Phase 3) will hit along with how many Crisis Level Points you will need to access the content.

Phase 3 right now will require you to hit Crisis Level 8

TWINKLY TRADING POST

Twinkly Trading Post

You will find this on the Left Side of the Event Area. It looks like a thrown together Building with lots of “Twinklies” outside. Here is where you can Trade Event Materials collected for the Event Currency Twinkles. Twinkles will be used to purchase items at the Stockpile Tanker. This will be your main source of Twinklies.

Here are the Exchange Options I saw in My Game in Phase 2 (they randomly appeared in no particular order). Yours will vary, but feel free to comment yours below:

STOCKPILE TANKER

Stockpile Tanker

You will find this on the Right Side of the Event Area. Here is where Buildings/Decorations for the Event can be purchased with Twinkles. Prizes here will have to be unlocked in order. In other words to get to the LAST item, all the items in front of it have to be purchased first.

FYI- Per TinyCo, the “CHANCE” drops mean they can drop 0 OR 1 OR 2 of that item. Just keep that in mind. They are NOT guaranteed drops.

There you have it, the Basics to at least get you started in Phase 2. I will update a few more items as I finish running through the Event in my game, but the overall idea is there.

What do you think of it so far? Did you have some Twinklies stashed to start into Phase 2 with? What do you think of the new items? Any that you are most interested in? Let us know.

  1. How am I supposed to collect stuff if all my characters are mutants…. looks like TC didn’t learn their lessons from the werewolves

  2. Hey Bunny, I know you like to give TC some feedback, so just wanna throw out 1 thing that I’m really struggling with this phase.. I’m getting a lot of mutant humans running around now and there are few ways to get darts. 2 of those ways are Joe and Herbert. Joe and Herbert are also the ONLY 2 characters we can use to get those extra rare cream things for Neil Goldman. So that’s REALLY hard. It takes a long time to get extra rare items. So if I use Joe & Herbert for Neil, I can only get 1 dart (chance) every 6 hours from Peter. Then 45 mins to make. And since a lot of my characters needed for the event are changing to mutants, I can’t collect from them until I turn them back. It’s really really hard. The only things I need still for Neil are those extra rare items. Joe is also needed for Jesus, so it’s a little overwhelming. The other thing is the helmets for Peter’s costume. 32 rare and only Neil (don’t have yet) and Stan (don’t have yet) to get them? But I think they’ll probably add more as time goes on, so I’m not so worried about that right now.

  3. Hi Bunny! Just a couple of quick questions (sorry if they’ve already been asked somewhere but I couldn’t see anything!). Firstly, do the lambswool cloaks from bombing Stewies accumulate if you haven’t triggered the Jesus timer? Secondly, do you get any crisis points for placing the toilet paper buildings?

    Like

    • Most character materials essentially “do not exist” until they are triggered live and active in the game. Only on very rare occasions do you see a Material prior to the Character being activated. If you do, the items go to “limbo” and collect until the Character is activated. Short story long, if you see an item pop out… it should be collecting to somewhere.

The Destroyed houses payout crisis Points per their hrs, but not a bulk drop on placement.

Looking at my drops from yesterday, Commander Jesus is definitely doable in the 7 days – hope I’ve not just cursed my luck by saying that.

I’m loving the little Mutant Stewies running around, I want to keep them forever.

  5. As a newer player it’s a bit frustrating when you see almost half your characters turned into mutants. I have 6 walking around.
Twinkles and cure darts are almost impossible. The cigarette drop is low for the number of Stewies I bomb. Wish I didn’t have cloaks drop.

Did anyone have a countdown show for the number of trashcans bought? 8 were required and I think I’m at 5 so far. The other required tasks showed up how close you were like 6/6 for curing Chris.

  6. So I bought the mutant fort. Turns out I actually don’t want mutants to spawn more often. I need the characters to be working on their tasks, especially considering 15 of them are in the Tan lines resort, and I only have 3 ways of making darts. (Mutants are characters you have to heal in order to continue with their tasks)

I’ve put it away in my inventory in hope that this disables it. Bit of a waste of clams.

Just wondering if anyone knows if it is just Mutants it affects, or mutant Stewie eggs too?

  9. Hey Bunny,

I’m curious as to why I’m not seeing anything relating to obtaining smoke bombs in my game. There’s nowhere for me to trigger the launcher, nor am I seeing any way to purchase them in the store. I have mutant Stewies all over the place with no way to get rid of them. My app is up to date. I’m wondering why I’m not having this option.

    Thanks for all you do!

  10. Looks like TinyCo threw in a mystery box too. It showed you could get Hayley Smith and Smith house, among other things. I only had the option for the moon bounce because I must have everything else that might have been offered. I was hoping Hayley’s college and the skate place would also be in there cuz I’m trying to get all the things I didn’t get during the American Dad event.

  12. Have we been able to determine which characters can be turned into mutants? I want to make sure I have them all out and active to possibly help minimize the important ones being turned. Based on the comments and my own game, below are the ones known so far:

    Adam West
    Mort
    Meg
    Bonnie
    Seamus

  15. UGH, I triggered Commander Jesus last night. I completely forgot they do these stupid timed characters, and I was confused when I saw him mentioned to work on Peter. I tapped on the “Go” and then BAM! TIMER!

Why couldn’t they have done it like they have in the past where there’s a pop up with the “Build/Save/Etc” button that you have to tap first?

I’m trying not to stress too much. He’d be a cool character to have, and I’d seriously go for him if I was still able to wait until I have everything. But I’m still waiting on items for Neil, and I’m nowhere near Stan’s skin the prizes.

My best hope is going to be whittling down what materials I can until he’s hopefully low enough that it’s within my $5-$15 dollar clam range.

Also is anyone else having problems with Mutant Stewie showing up? I saw them running around once when I opened my app.

Do you have to tap on the eggs in order for the “Go” button to take you to the Stewies? Because those little piles are hard to spot. =\

    Like

    • It’s an option but with no Task with “go” you’ll still have to look

      Like

    • A: that’s exactly how I started the trigger. I saw he had a task for Peter costume. Actually thought maybe it was a costume for Jesus. Bam! Timer…

B: because thry want us to trigger the timer. We rush, buy clams, etc. All part of it. I’m glad they haven’t taken away the ability to at least try not to click on something to prevent trigger until somewhat ready. I fear they’ll “fix” that soon, too.

So, right now my strategy is to focus on getting as much stuff for Commander Jesus to bring the price down in 6 days. Which also means punching out as many twinklies as I can to get buildings & Stan to help.

QUESTION: would it affect anything to bring stored chars out to enlarge the zombie pool? Like, just set them on 24 hr tasks. This way, there might be a better chance that a less useful character is zombified when/if I’m waiting on needles, etc. Thoughts?

      Like

      • Yeah, I’m basically trying to prioritize Neil first, since he’s from Phase 1 and still locked and seems to have an action for Commander Jesus, then actions for Jesus, then darts to make the cure for the mutants (I figure I have TONS of water and I craft with the nets when I have them, but I’m mainly focusing on collecting and spending cigarettes since the cigarettes-only trade gets the most twinklies), and then focus on tasks that unlock Peter.

I have basically everyone who doesn’t have an apocalypse task either stored or staying at my resort, and just a small patch of road for the Stewie eggs to appear on, and I seem to be doing pretty good on them. It’s just a matter of “I have more mutants than cures,” is the problem I’m having right now.

Good news is, I’ve got Commander Jesus down to 800 clams, which I estimate would take $30 to get. Which means I just have $15 to go before he’s in my “Willing to Spend Range.”

(I feel like to some $15 is already too much, but for some reason $20 is just way too much for me, so I go with combining a $10 and $5 purchase at most)

  16. Hi Bunny,
I am on Peterpocalypse Again Part 4. One of the requirements is create 3 cure guns, Ok, fine. Problem is, I already have 6 in my queue, so right now, the most I can create is 2. Not enough (ugh).
I have yet to see a mutant that I can use a cure gun on, so I haven’t been able to clear any slots for another gun.
Does this mean I am going to have to pony up the clams for Stan’s Trailer (don’t want to do that) if I want to progress?
When do the mutants start showing up?

    Like

  17. Now Quagmire taking a radioactive bath also drops smoke bombs. If I build multiple furniture stores do they drop bombs as well?

    Like

  18. I accidentally triggered the timer for Commander Jesus also. They really need to set up precautions to avoid this, a two-step procedure “are you sure you really really wanna do this?” kind of thing, to avoid such accidental triggers. I don’t even know how I got there and didn’t see anything obvious warning “don’t touch” (although I’m a tad groggy at the moment, so maybe it’s me…) But people really do need to freely explore the game without possibly losing a chance at something they could do if a timer didn’t trigger too soon. TinyCo may not realize how easy it is to make such a mistake, and how demoralizing it is when it happens.

I’m hoping a week will still be enough to unlock the guy, but I think our new bottleneck threatens to be the smoke bombs to hit mutant Stewies to get the cigarettes to get the Twinklies to get ALL the way through the page to Stan, who has to do a task twice to get Commander Jesus and I assume has to be unlocked by collections first. (Whew, I’m out of breath just writing out that sequence of steps…). Plus we shall see how rare those lambs wool cloaks really are that we need a 100 of to pop out of mutant Stewie after he gets gassed with a smoke bomb…

Great idea, Bunny, to buy more furniture stores to get more smoke bombs. Each one will provide three or four more per day. Hadn’t realized they could be purchased repeatedly, but I even pried loose 50 clams from my fast-growing pile of clam TV clams to hire a second worker finally (have wanted to do that for ages but was too cheapskate) and the two of them are diligently building a couple more furniture stores now and will be working steadily for more. I have plenty of coins, so your suggestion just might solve my smoke bomb bottleneck problem and maybe I’ll get Commander Jesus after all.

  19. Hi Bunny, appreciate all the info on the event thus far. I sent a message into TinyCo about getting another task to give darts, as most of us can only really use Peter and Herbert, who both have multiple event tasks unforetuneately : / Also asked if they could implement an option to switch back to the Boomsday Quahog terrain once the event ends, so all the items and everything could match, give everyone more options to make their Quahog unique to them. Have they done terrain changes before for events?

    Like

    • Terrain has gone through multiple looks off and one. Though none have stayed.

My only hang up on MORE darts… I am not getting Mutant Humans fast enough to use them. I am now waiting for more to show up. So there may be a downside to that. It all depends on how fast and how many spawn vs how many darts created.

  20. Bit disappointed at the drop rate for Cigs, but the added sources of Smoke Bombs will be helpful. Found that the best way to do it is remove all roads except for a 4×4 or 3×3 patch. Eggs will form only on that patch. When you’re ready to throw a bomb, center the screen in the middle of the eggs you’re about to tap, tap 3 or 4 eggs, then quickly select the Smoke Bombs and let one fly. The blast radius is a fair bit bigger than it appears, so you have a good chance of getting all the Mutant Stewies at once. Only thing you should have to worry about is accidentally hitting a Mutant Goldfish or a Chumbawumba when you’re trying to tap the eggs, so it’s probably best to clear a few Goldfish out first. My max so far is 12 (4 clutches of eggs). Might try for 15 or 18 if I get the chance. Hope the egg refresh rate can keep up.

Speaking of Chumbawumbas, anyone know how to keep them from showing up? The tasks that required them are long since done, so they just get in the way. I don’t even have the Pawtucket Brewery in my Quahog any more.

    Like

    • If you have the Questlines COMPLETELY done… Chumba Stewie’s too…and all the items made in the Brewery to MAX they should stop minus the 2 you create, but those you can store.

His “investigate source of prank calls” task for Jesus doesn’t require the skin, right? Anyone think Sidewalk Joe is worth it other than for his own sake?

Also, is Commander Jesus an entirely new character or a skin that comes with regular Jesus?

    • I decided to skip him. I was going to save up for him, since I wasn’t too big on the Super Hard prize for this phase, but after accidentally triggering Commander Jesus, I decided to skip him and put my Twinklies towards catching up on prizes so I can get all his materials.

Whether I was going to go for him, with or without Jesus, was going to depend on what the Super Hard prize was, mainly because I’m sorta “Eh” about Sidewalk Joe’s design. And knowing now that he doesn’t really do too much to help with the parts of the event I care about, it’s not too important for me to get him.

  23. 2 Mutants appeared in my game and I currently at Part 2 of this week’s main quest. The Mutants were Sheamus and Jerome. It looks like our complaints that we couldn’t progress with us needing Cigarettes was a success.

  24. Do you have any info yet re: replenishment of the stewie eggs? Do we have to open all the eggs or get rid of all the mutant Stewies before more eggs appear? Thank you once again for all your hard work. It is greatly appreciated.

  25. Is there something that triggers the mutants? I haven’t had any, at all, ever. Zilch. Nada. Twinklies now require cigarettes, which require mutants, which aren’t there. Sidewalk Joe is now 100% impossible.

  26. Really pissed off you can no longer trade in only water bottles. I was so close to having Sidewalk Joe. Now have 200+ waters and no way to trade them in for Twinkies. Just when I thought this would be a relaxed event and it was actually possible that the developers were listening. Wrong.

    • Patience. I know it is a shock to have a swap out on them. It is actually the way the events work. Now in regards to Joe, I get the frustration there too and have made my comments directly to them on it. Please do so as well from your game. They did do a really good job in round one to allow us to collect. It may be more just some Players aren’t used to how the exchanges work as they vary… but I am still communicating all I can to them on “issues/concerns” like those triggered Joe and now stuck without a trade. Hopefully they will come up with a solution. 🙂

      • This phase is not as fun as the first. I’m sitting on over 200 water bottles but no ciggys to trade them. In the christams one at least after a few trades you started getting options again for just a single item. Really preferred that. I was only 3 twinklies short on Joe so I paid the clams. And I won’t even bother with the hard one this time, love chars and costumes 🙂

Take out one fish and get 12 water bottles. I just took out 6 mutant stewies in one shot (my secret, find two eggs right near each other, position them dead center of screen, tap both then hit the bomb thing twice, once to go into screen and a second time to immediately detonate dead center) but all I got for 6 was 1 ciggy and 2 cloaks!

Bunny, I triggered commander Jesus by mistake by looking at items I need for peter costume. I also notice that I need commander Jesus to finish peter costume. Maybe I’m wrong here. Do you think it’s super important to get commander Jesus. By the way , I’m still working on getting Neil.

    Help, advice please.
    Thank Bunny

    • You don’t NEED him… he is just optional. In most Materials there is usually a “Freemium” earn point and a “Premium”. I see Commander as more a “Premium” as he is a bit harder to get.

Things like that are more for Players that WANT to spend Clams on the game. They may unlock him right away and then use him to speed up getting Peter. Just all options, nothing more. 🙂

As to Neil, many are still working on him that I see. Keep going, I am reporting back updates to them. Feel free to do so too from your game. 🙂

  30. I have a question, I was collecting Twinklies to get Joe, managed to get up to 102 before phase 2 started. I haven’t placed the Distillery yet so I think I would need another 25 Twinklies to place both the Distillery and get Joe. I was hoping to have got enough of them to finish phase 1 today before starting phase 2 but the slow rate of getting cigarettes has stopped that idea. Would I be better spending the 102 Twinklies to get the first few items from phase 2 and collect again for Joe later? Will placing a phase 2 item start Joe’s timer? Or can he wait until I place the Distillery? Thanks

    • If it will let you place a phase 2. Sometimes going past them will trigger it.

If you really want him… you can keep bombing Stewies to build up Cigarettes. Also message your dilemma to them in game too please

  31. Why would TC constantly use characters that are needed to further the quest lines to be attacked by the mutants? Mort and Meg keep getting mutantized. If the game developers can prohibit characters from going into Tan Lines if they are needed for other tasks, the mutants should be leaving them untouched.

    Like

    • Mort can help with Jesus along with others… what is Meg needed for?

I ask as they do try to not have Critical Characters involved.

      Like

      • Meg just gets TP right now. I know it’s not a vital item for some, but it might be a valuable asset later. I have a whole bunch of other characters (Star Trek crew) that could be mutantized, but no luck. Seamus is also one that keeps getting snatched (3 times before he cleared his task once) by those nasty mutants along with Jerome. I’m trying to level up Fezzik, but he keeps getting snatched and he is staying mutantized.

        • But she isn’t critical as there is a plethora of others as well as “free” drops from the Event Area to help. That’s what I mean. Now, if she was one of only two… or a single drop Character that turned… I would be all over them for that.

Keep in mind they also try to mix Characters that Majority of players will have or have access too. So Event only and limited times ones will not be used as often.

  32. I am frustrated at the moment. Could you offer any advice? I had saved up almost enough Twinklies for Sidewalk Joe. I have been waiting to build the Moonshine Distillery that helps with Neal since it triggers the day timer for Joe.

I accidentally trigger the 7-day timer for Commander Jesus. So I used my stockpile to purchase the first two buildings on Page 2 that help with him. Now I’m back down to 40-50 Twinklies and have to save up for Sidewalk Joe again. Luckily, they let you start on Page 2 before finishing Page 1. Unfortunately, I can’t trade just water bottles anymore. It has to be a combination of cigs and water bottles. So I feel even more pressured now.

I told TinyCo in a game message my suggestions of making the trade just for 1 material and be consistent in trade amounts. Also, I would’ve liked to have repaired a building to start the timer for Commander Jesus just like repairing the bench for Valentine’s Day event or repairing the graves for the ghosts.

I really want Sidewalk Joe and was so close to having him! So now I suppose I save up again, but this time it will be more difficult. I just hope it all works out in the end. I’d appreciate any advice you have. I wish I wouldn’t have clicked before reading your post. 😦

    • I contacted them about Commander and trades too. With trades, this is the norm. New items drop to take place of previous. Previous item now mixed with new item for exchange. It will happen each phase. All the way til all are active in exchange and mixed options appear

My question is this… is it REALLY worth it to you to get Joe’s Costume? How about Commamder? If so, focus on bombing Stewies for Cigarettes and Twinkies. If not let him go and keep moving forward still getting Twinkies but for other items. 3 months from now, what Character will you still care is in your game?

This is how I always approach difficult, timed, premium items. Ask myself what will make ME happy 3 months from now and focus on that. It always seems difficult first 1 to 2 days in but gets easier as it progresses and your used to new items.

FYI. Exchanges are always a sore spot with players in the past. They’ve got better, but I’m watching to see if they still work out OK. Too much bottle necking can cause more issues down the road.

      • Thank you! That’s a good way to look at it. I think I’d rather have Commander Jesus then Sidewalk Joe. As far as I’ve seen he only helps out with items for Commander Jesus.

If it’s possible to get both, what’s the best way to spend a few clams strategically? I don’t want to spend more than $10-20 for this event and currently have about 80 clams saved up.

I’m building more furniture stores for more bombs. I only have 1 worker. Takes 6 hours to build.

        • Hmmmm… see what the buy out is in the Tanker vs buy out of Twinklies vs Buy out of materials. In other words, you need Twinklies for Joe. Those are most pricey. A single drop of Twinklies at times can cost 400-500 Clams depending on what you already have and what more is needed. Put that up against just buying out the Character/Costume.

Same with Material drops on Commander Jesus. I have found many times it may be cheaper to speed up a task with Clams and get an item then to buy it. Or at times the cost on the Material Bubble itself may be cheaper. Just take a lil time to do some math on the items.

For instance you may see a full clam purchase on the lock icon for Commander to be 1200 Clams, but if you look at the individual cost of each material by tapping on the bubble… times that by how many you need… it may come out to be LESS then the direct 1200 Clam Buy. Secondly, if you go to say Peter… and see he drops an item for even LESS than the Material bubble shows for a Clam purchase of one of that item, then it may be cheaper to use Clams to make that item drop over and over from the Characters Task. (Make sure it is an Always drop or at least Common/Uncommon as if it is not Always… you will have to speed up the task multiple times to get one to drop and may end up spending MORE than the Material Bubble offered for a direct purchase of the one item)

So many ways to view it. Lots I calculate as I go through it and try to make my Clams for the site go as far as I can. It can get REALLY costly to get things if you are not careful. I could easily spend $100 worth of Clams on just one Phase of an Event.

  33. So to get Jesus you need to get 100 lambswool from mutant Stewies. Even when i bomb 4 they drop one. And the only smoke grenades come from Clevemire and it takes 6 hours to get one. That’s 28 possible lambswool for freemium players.

    Ok I guess I won’t do it.

          • Yup. I was really happy they included furniture stores. Something I can spend COINS on that directly impacts progress through the event. Now if they could do that for cigs and tranq darts…. 🙂

  35. Bunny, to get Commander Jesus, you need Armageddon Stan to “carefully go to the bathroom” twice. Do you know if the 75 clam buyout takes care of both of those tasks or is it 75 x 2 = 150 clams to clear that requirement?? This will help me decide whether i want to use my Twinklies on Sidewalk Joe or rush through and try to unlock Armageddon Stan. Thanks!!

They really need to add a water bottle only option as I have loads and the rate for cigarettes will never out score the water bottle. Even if you only get 3 or 4 from the trading post at least it’s something!!

  39. This phase just turned this event from right on pace to I will get next to nothing. Was on pace to get sidewalk Joe last night checked out the new prizes and started the timer now I need cigs for twinkins and will not get enough for 1 trade in before joes timer expires. Somehow started Jesus’s timer. No way that will be completed in 7 days. The creams stopped dropping for me for Neil and the to characters that have tasks for that now have tasks needed for week 2

  40. Is there a super fast way to collect cigarettes? Once again the game screwed me over :-(. I had been collecting water so I could get Joe, but i accidentally started his timer. Wouldn’t have been a problem except that all of a sudden I can’t get twinkles without also spending cigarettes… Why didn’t they learn how much everyone hated this system during the Halloween event last year? Now my hard work collecting enough stuff to get Joe is down the drain. I’m not getting any mutants yet, and there’s only one way to collect smoke bombs, which takes 6 hours each. Super disappointed in this event now. It had so much promise the first week… Thanks for all the work you put into this site, I don’t think I’d have stuck around with this game if it weren’t for your help.

  42. I, like many, accidentally triggered Jesus because frankly he’s invisible in my game and I tapped him just scrolling around. Will anyone else drop smoke bombs besides clevemire? 100 lambs wool for Jesus and only him dropping bombs for a chance item that you need 100 of is just crazy. I’ve bombed about 20 mutants and have gotten 4. Certainly no way to get 100 if I can only get bombs every 6 hours unless they make it a 100% drop (which frankly if you need a HUNDRED, it should be always imo.)

    Afternoon Bunny & fellow addicts.

2 questions – I bombed 11 mutant Stewies with one bomb, (I did this by letting eggs build up, speed tapping them then releasing a smoke bomb on the tiny patch road they hatched on), but the payout was only 6 cigarettes, and 5 lambswool. I can understand lambswool drop rate as rare but you seemed to get 6 cigarettes for only 1-2 mutants Bunny, is there something wrong with my drop or do you think they’ve put a limit on the drops when you manage to get a high number. I’ve a screenshot if needed.

Next question, Commander Jesus, like yourself I triggered him by clicking on Apocalypse Peter’s items, now I’m wondering whether to get Joe with my twinklies haul or start to work through week 2 to get Stan. The one piece information that would help me in this decision is knowing is there an increased clam drop from Commander Jesus. I’m already at a chance of 4 clams with football Jesus, so wondered if Commander Jesus dropped more? Any ideas Bunny.

Thanks as always for the details. Hope you’ve got that Friday feeling, well if your health allows.

    • As always… drops vary by Player. You hit 11 Mutants and got 11 items. For being chance that’s pretty good.

My results were multiple hits. One time +2. Next time +6. Next time +3. It said I only hit one or two but I swear more were there. Either way you’re getting good drops.

As for Commander, I have to go through and unlock it all first before telling you his stats. Just keep in mind if you placed the Distillery already and have been back to the Tanker to see week 2 items, Joes timer is going
