So you think you’re as rich at Carter Pewterschmidt? Own a fancy house like Buzz Killington? You sure gotta lot of clams there, whatcha gonna do with them?
BUY LOTS OF STUFF OF COURSE!!!

Now hold on there a minute. Are you SURE you want that? With all these cool There’s No Place Like Home Limited Time Event Items in the game, it is very easy to get carried away. Before you know it, Clamshell Shock! All gone!
So before you go ahead and buy the Emerald Pit with your hard earned Clams, here are a few things you might want to know about it.

MATH OF IT:
I wanted to give you an overall idea of how it COULD benefit your game play. Here are a few breakdowns to give you an idea. This isn’t even collecting all the times you can each day (6) … but I know some of us try to sleep and do other things too. Lol.
- 130
Emeralds every 4hrs x 4 collections a day = 520
Emeralds a day - 19 days (as of 11/11) x 520
Emeralds = 9880
Emeralds for the Event - Emeralds needed for just items in Fallen Farm Phase 1 = 975
Emeralds - Emeralds needed for Scarecrow Peter & Dorothy Lois Phase 1 = 1500
Emeralds
Just a quick reminder too of all the places you can get Emeralds BESIDES this Premium Building. This is just as of now too.
Emeralds: Peter Buy a Compass OR Peter Visit Petting Zoo OR Peter Step on Ants OR ALL Scarecrow Peter Tasks (minus 1min) OR Lois Sleep Deep OR Bonnie Play Mind Games OR Bonnie Braid Her Hair OR Bonnie Skip Night School OR Chris Dream of Monkeys OR Chris Ride Grocery Carts OR Chris Flaunt Participation Award OR Herbert Eat Soft Foods OR Joe Shop For Produce OR Quagmire Go Bananas OR Jerome Make Like a Banana OR ALL Toto Brian Tasks OR Bruce Paint Bricks Yellow OR Bruce Look For Yellow Brick Roads OR Mort Wear Brainy Glasses OR Various Buildings OR Questlines OR Winged Monkeys
Final Thought:
Personally, I need a LOT of Emeralds quickly for my Test Game for the site, so I did see this as an item that would really benefit ME. Overall, I would say these may be more for the completionist or someone that may not want to play vary often during the game, but just check in every 4hrs to get a boost of Emeralds. You will be able to get more items and get them quicker with it. Otherwise this is a very costly item for Freemiums. More than a Character. This is one you will really need to think on if it is worth it to YOU.
With it being part of a Limited Time Event, just make sure you make up your mind as once the event is over it is most likely they will be gone. In the end it’s your call. What you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only guide you on the facts and let you know what we did and what we think. But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

The most outrageously expensive item I’ve ever seen is Crippletron, which is 750 clams and it’s only an animated decoration!

Bunny,
You list Bruce as having tasks to drop emeralds. My Bruce does not show any of the tasks like you listed. Do you have an idea why that would be?

Yes, one task is dependant on your purchasing the premium character Toto Brian, and the other will only show up once you place the Gale House and starting unlocking Dorothy Lois. Hope this helps.

I splurged and got the mine and Toto Brian. Figured I’d need the emerald boost and so far I’m happy with my decision. I already have the first row of buildings in the farmhouse.

The costs they assign to items in this game are insane! Especially in relation to computer online games I’ve played in the past. 400 clams is ~$15. Fifteen dollars for an event item that is pointless in a couple weeks. I don’t know, but I’d think they’d come out better if they priced items lower and got a lot more buyers.

If you look back over the game as a whole… this is actually not the most extreme I have seen for Material generating building for Event only Material. I believe… 700$ ?? … was the highest. At times they start low then increase.
All we can do is weigh their worth to us personally each time they are offered… if not worth it, pass on it for sure. Save your hard earned Clams for something else. Never know what that next phase may bring to you. 🙂
I understand from business point why they price them like they do. Downside of contract negotiations for smaller companies.
