UPDATE BUNNY 11/30 930PM EASTERN: Issue resolved with lock out for Android Users. If you update, no issues should apply now.
On a side note, the New Christmas Event itself is NOT LIVE. It will still be held off til tomorrow (12/1). So just hang tight and keep an eye out for our post notating it went live. 😉
Those that are asking for help with missing out during Android lock out… please ensure you message in to TinyCo directly from your game with as much details as possible as to where your progress was and any screenshots that may help. They will determine what next steps to take from there.
FYI… Update Version 1.33.4 is live on Android. However there is an issue with it potentially locking you out of your game due to the extension of the current There’s No Place Like Quahog event – so please DON’T update just now.
If you have updated and are locked out, you will need wait for TinyCo to fix this at their side, however if this has caused you to miss out on any There’s No Place Like Quahog items, please message them with the details, obviously using in game support is best, but as that may not currently be available to you, you have the option of either waiting until things are fixed and using this method or contacting them via email, just make sure you include your PlayerId in the email. You can email them at help@tinyco.com
This is the latest information released by TinyCo on the issue:
“We recently released an Android update for the game which resulted in a force-update popup, and this was completely unintentional. A fix is on the way, and we do apologize for the inconvenience.
The update is preparation for our holiday event ‘Quahog’s Not-So-Silent Night’, which we hope will knock your jolly socks off later today!”
We will update you if we get any more information.

I’m locked out. It’s weird. I played all day today 12.1 and now is 8pm est and when I went to log in, it tells me to update, app store says I’m updated though. So I can’t get in…. but your post says it was fixed, so does this mean it broke again?

Android is still updating to the new event. You may be seeing the error now as it is trying to locate the live event that is not live just yet on Android. Only iOS.

Hi ladies.. I hope y’all might have a suggestion for this problem. I won the grand prize for the Oz quest and even placed him. Now I can’t find him. He’s not in my inventory and I’ve tried looking behind things in case I moved him on accident. My game is quite crowded and I hate to nuke my town and start over for just one decoration. Is there any other way I might could find him? BTW, I LOVE this site and wouldn’t think of doing the quests without checking your posts first. You are all so helpful and dedicated!! Thanks for your time and for all you do!!

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. Now for your Scarecrow decoration issue, I’m afraid as he’s just an animated decoration there is no way to search for him. I know this because I had the same issue during Peter’s Booty Haul when I lost the drunky monkey. I only found him after I nuked my town. Although I didn’t nuke to find him, I nuked as my town was out of control. To look behind buildings I go into inventory mode and tap on a building as this makes buildings a little bit see through, might just help you spot something lurking without actually having to store anything. If any other readers or Bunny or Lotty have a better solution I’m sure they will share it here. Good luck.

Thanks so much, Russian Tigger!!!! I did as you suggested with the inventory mode and found my decoration! Somehow I had moved him behind a big building, but after searching a short while, there he was! So glad I didn’t have to nuke my town. I did that once before. It took forever to fix, and I didn’t have nearly as much stuff then. Again, thank you very much for your time and suggestion!!

am i the only one who can’t place chris, bonnie, joe, jerome, mort, and quagmire back into tanlines hotel? i thought they were only kept outside during act 3 of the OZ event and would be allowed back into tanlines once the event ended. what gives!? i’m trying to work up to the damn evil monkey and keeping these 6 characters out (7 if you include lois who was allowed in a few months back) is going to prolong my stewie bucks collecting. yargh!

I’m presuming as they are the core characters we use during most events, they are locked out as they are going to be imminently used in the Christmas event.

Is anyone else not getting coins for tasks? Since the event ended I haven’t been getting any coins for characters doing tasks and I can’t put them into Tan Lines. It’s not a big deal since I’m mostly focusing on getting rid of some character challenges that are still open but it’s a bit weird having characters sitting there and sending them on tasks that don’t gain coins or anything
Don’t know if it’s related to the update but that’s the only change I’ve noticed so far.
Also, you guys are amazing at getting updates and tips. Love the site and use it a lot. Great work!

Yes coins are not dropping for me either, although with over 10 million already I’m not too fussed.
And if you look at characters locked out Tan Lines you will see they are the core characters we use in events so it appears to me they are out and about in our towns as the Christmas event is imminent.

Two of us did not download the update and 1 of us did, yet none of us can get into the game. It told us all to reload as the event was over and then it just won’t load completely.

Issue should be resolved now. I just tried to download it to 3 separate Android Devices. I am in the game in all 3 playing just fine now. (Event over… new one not started til tomorrow).
Try to completely exit and close app, restart device, try again. If that does not help… Is your game saved? If so, try an uninstall/reinstall.

Ok, finally got in my game after I put it on a brand new device but it still took awhile. Took even longer on other 2 devices but uninstalled and reinstalled and just now finally got in.

Mine updated fine but now I have another issue. I have about half a dozen characters that I cannot put into Tan Lines. They don’t show up when I click on the Add Characters button

Similar to the last event… characters vital to the Events will be kept from Tan Lines. So let them stay out n about for now. 🙂

Since my phone auto updated I was stuck on the update screen, good news is I can get in again, bad news is the event is over and even though I sent emails and screenshots, I received nothing for my troubles. I was one away from the Wicked Witch and Cowardly Lion Joe. This is extremely frustrating!

They were focused on fixing it. Now that it is… give them time to respond to your message. Keep in mind they are small and when stuff like this happens they are flooded with messages and emails, so to reply to all may take some time. 🙂

Hey, where did Mr. Bottomtooth go? I saw that he was on sale during the Oz event, but I didn’t have the clams. Just now I took a peek at the character inventory and he’s gone. Was he removed from the game or is there some special thing coming up? I’d still like to save up for him.

Is there also supposed to be an Apple/iOS update? Usually they update the app on both platforms before the rollout of a new event but I haven’t seen an update on iOS since 1.32.0 dropped on 11/19.

There is usually an update across the board, yes. Android they were not able to stop in time, so it is there already and people tapped into essentially a dead file til the event goes live. iOS they were able to catch in time to delay and it should be hitting prior to or just about the time that the Event goes up tonight. 🙂

Well this happened I Sept and it logged me out for ten days, I missed the mini event and they didn’t even care to compensate me with free item or clams. I expect the same will happen this time as we will miss out on most of the Xmas event. If I’m correct I will be filing a grievance site play store as I brought clams early yesterday.

That was something completely different then this. This is just an Event, logged to go live yesterday, approved by app market… and pushed when it was supposed to be available… but with the Event not ready and set to release today instead, it is basically locking into an empty file that does not exist… yet. So… once the Event goes live when it is supposed to in the next few hours (6-9pm TinyCo time) then you should be just fine.
The hindrance was the soon departure of accessing the “Oz” Event. So message them if that impacted the Oz Event. Otherwise, there should not be an issue with the Xmas event. 🙂

I updated on my phone before I saw this, so I turned on my tablet for the first time in weeks. It’s still running version 1.31.0, and I’m having the same issue. I am sending an error report because it seems odd, but I wasn’t going to get close to the rest of the characters anyways.

Update causing issue is 1.33.4. All we can tell you just now is TinyCo are working on the issue. If it’s impacted you completing the Oz event please message TinyCo what you missed out on.
