Hello there Clammers!
We’re back with another edition of Tell TinyCo! Our good friends over at TinyCo have been so awesome at wanting YOUR opinions and feedback on the game, and LISTENING to you! Yes, that’s right they actually listen to what you have to say…not only that they want to hear YOUR opinions! 
So our friend Matt just sent us this great email last night and would love to hear more from YOU! Here’s what he had to say:
Hi Addicts!Just a heads up: we’ve received a ton of awesome feedback from players about the clowns event. We’re blown away by the excitement so far.We also hear loud and clear that players would like more coin items to enjoy the event. To that end, we’ve switched the Strength Test item from 25 clams to cost 1000 coins.We’d love to hear more of your feedback. While we can’t incorporate EVERYTHING, we intend to read every last piece and use it to inform the next event…..Would y’all be up for doing a “Good” and “Bad” thread, like you did for the launch of the game?-Matt
We really value our relationship with our friends over at TinyCo, and love how they take the time to listen to players opinions about the game. They value that feedback so much, and often make changes on the fly based on it. (shorter tasks, premium items becoming freemium) They really are listening, and want to make this the best game out there!
So sound off in the comments below with your thoughts. The good, the bad and the not so pretty of The Quest For Stuff…we want it all. Don’t be shy…but be respectful…let them know what you think!

Hey Matt,
I have a question regarding the best of 2014 event. Why is the event so short, it makes it nearly impossible for people who don’t have any clamp or money to spend on clamp to unlock the characters. I have one item done for king butt but the one that you need 40 for is taking forever consider I only have two character to do the task out of all the ones listed. Couldn’t the even have been a bit longer? Considering that people for one may not have all the characters and or costumes to get certain items and two don’t have the clamp to spend. Not to mention I don’t have any items complete for the other two character either and this is the second time they have came back and I am still not able to get them which is really dissapointing, considering I’ve lost quite a few chances for characters this way. I’m hoping something can be done about this for the people who play for free. Thank you for your time 🙂

Email them please if it is still locked up. Lots of patches they’re working on as it is its own thing. Separate from the Mobile game.

To get certain people or complete tasks, I must have Lois practice ji jit su, however, I have done this several times and my tasks show its only been twice and I’ve done it numerous amounts. I do not understand why it doesn’t reflect the number of times I’ve done this task! It makes it really frustrating to play wheb I can’t update my characters or even gain new ones because I cannot complete a task when it doesn’t keep track or update to the correct number

Report it to them through your game if the basic troubleshooting does not work.

I finally unlocked Lois and for some reason it says that the action of grocery shopping and fun in the sun with Bonnie is locked even though Bonnie isn’t doing anything and I am way past level 3! Does anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it?

Both Lois and Bonnie have to be past level 3….is that the case for you?

I have like fifty friends and it says I can check all of them but when I check about 20 the others become unavailable

SO, I currently have 16/21 characters – and what tasks do I have that have an item drop chance?
Make Peter Do Taxes (Peter, Mort)
Make Herbert Read to Children (Herbert)
Make Brain Damaged Horse Lick Sugarcube Off Peter’s Butt (BDH)
Make Dr. Hartman Practice Surgery (Dr. Hartman)
Make Lois Practice Tai-Jitsu (Lois)
Make Peter Attract New Clients (Peter)
Make Lois Buy Groceries (Lois)
Make Lois Practice Tai-Jitsu (Lois)
Make Lois Resolve Marital Issues (Lois, Peter)
Make Dr. Hartman Test Experimental Drugs (Dr. Hartman)
Make Mort Scrounge For Coins (Mort)
So, the only characters that can do item earning tasks are:
Peter
Mort
Herbert
BDH
Dr. Hartman
Lois
and really, mostly Lois and Peter. Meaning 15 unemployed characters, with 4 other mostly unemployed characters.
Hey, it’s also two words, sugar cube, and it sure be either Tae (Foot, or Strike with Feet) or T’ai (supreme), and the preferred spelling is Jutsu (meaning science or art, although the Brazilian form is still called jiujitsu – same meaning). So I guess Tai-Jitsu means either Foot Science or Supreme Art.
Also, why do I have to put the Pirate Ship and Gold Digger Island on land – does that make any sense?

You can put them in water….you just have to unlock the land around the water first. In my town both are in the water:
The problem is you only get like 4 squares of land to use, here’s an example I did with my boat:

Oh, okay – then my complaint changes to how this is completely opaque!
There have been a number of tasks that come up in a manner that seems completely out of sync with other things in the game.
One hilarious one is the task to get things for Brian that has 1 option where you can clear a bull. Of course, you can’t clear the bulls until you have Brian!

Hey tinyco, are you ever going to fix the issue with the quest times stopping? I set my characters up with 6 and 8 hour tasks before I went to bed last night around 9, and woke up to them still having around 4 and 6 hours left…wth? It’s hard to believe that the game still has this glitch…it is super annoying

They have been working on it since we reported it. A fix WAS indeed found. Coming with an Update soon. Hang in there. 😉

Hi. I’ve been trying to unlock the S&M costume for lois. But I’ve not had a single whip drop yet. Been doing the quest with hooker peter and have the fire station aswell for a couple of days now. It’s says there’s and “epic” chance of the drop, does that mean super rare? Lol

I have had problems since the day the game went live. Tap the icon. Crash. Tap the icon. Crash. Tap the icon. It goes straightforward the help/FAQ page. Tap the arrow to go to another page. Crash.
I have yet to even get into the game.
I have reinstalled and rebooted almost every other day since then with no changes.
I have been in contact with Myles for about 2-3 weeks with no results.
I hope they find a solution soon.

Tiny co was supposed to end the circus sunday night. At midnight I put chris on his suger quest which takes a day and what do u know they extended the circus AFTER the cut off time…..try and give us a better notice tiny co. Also just completed the clear the pirates quest and I didnt get a single chance item…..wtf?

I thought it might just be my phone, but the issue does’t seem consistent enough to be the fault of my device. It seems some days, and not others, that the game will just force close constantly. As i said, this problem doesn’t occur constantly, so i assume its not my phone. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue?

I’ve not been able to get on for a day now. Everything was fine yesterday morning; yesterday evening, it got as far as the splash screen before crashing. Every time. Nothing changed on the phone, and it was the same version of the game.
I’ve updated to the latest version of the game, with no change; and I’ve raised a bug report with Tiny – I’ve not heard anything as yet.
So it’s not just you 🙂

There may be two different issues here.
1) memory issues
If the game crashes randomly DURING PLAY, such as while visiting some friends, then this is most likely a memory issue. It happens if a game eats up the device’s allotment of memory for that app. The device then says “no, screw you game” and kills it. This is something we can address over time, but typically requires an app update.
For these issues, the TYPE of device is very important. Memory issues rear their heads most often on older devices.
2) Crashing at the load screen
This is a bug where the game crashes EVERY TIME while trying to load. It crashes during the load screen, before reaching the game.
We’ve tracked this to a bug that can be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the game. We are also looking into fixing this for the next update. If that doesn’t work, let us know via in-game support.

I totally didn’t noticed that they changed the strength test item from clams to coins. Rather annoying, as I didn’t get the costume…

The strength test item didn’t generate any items you needed for the costume. It was just a decoration.

Matt, when you complete 1-minute jobs with characters, just the $ coin pops out (i.e. no little orange XP box). Since there is no transparency/stat numbers associated with either characters or overall level figures, how can someone be sure that the 3 XP for completing the job are being earned? Seems like it’d be an easy fix to make the XP box show up for completed 1-minute jobs, whereas incorporating a stat screen for showing level progress numbers would be more difficult. Players would find both useful though.

I’m disappointed about the vivid event I ended up just 12pies short but had Chris stuck eating sugar is there a way to interrupt a quest withou clams if not could there be please this game rocks I’ve been here since day one am almost lvl 20 and this is the only problem I’ve run into

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but when you are prompted to purchase a building or decoration and you click ‘Go’ all it does is open the shopping cart. Then you have to scroll for a while to find the one you need to place (this will get worse as more are added). I seem to remember a time where it took you right to the one you need, but I don’t remember when that happened and don’t remember it happening in a while.
