Good Morning Clammers!
Well some details about a new event that looks like it’ll be bringing an old friend to our Quahogs!
Over the weekend TinyCo posted an image of an upcoming event with this tagline….“Old friends. Ancient curses. ’80s dance moves. Coming soon.” See if you can tell the old friend that’s coming to Quahog based on the Spoiler image TinyCo posted on their Facebook page over the weekend….
For those who don’t like Spoilers we’ll post it below the fold…so WARNING SPOILER AHEAD!
Looks like we’ll be getting a fun little Event to our Quahogs that’ll bring a new character, new costumes, loads of new decorations and prizes (including FREE Clams!).

Playing family guy obviously and I have 80,000 moon idols I got a gorrilla for the second last prize and the last prize has not shown and neither has the last journal entries… Have I done something wron or are the last entries missions going to show up the last couple days bcz there is only a week left and I don’t want to put all that time to get everything just to come up short bcz a possible glitch and is 80,000 idols high up there?

How do you unlock Cleveland Brown? It says I need to unlock his building.. What building is it?

Both myself and my partner randomly lost over 1000 moon idols for no apparent reason. Anyone else had this? Also I was trying to get goth chris. Got the last makeup and he should’ve been completed only to go back to 0 on makeup 😦

Moon idols…did you get adventure Peter? He costs idols. So when you unlock him you’ll lose them.
Makeup….best bet is to contact TinyCo on this one. You’ll get a standard Answer about how it’s random blah blah, but be persistent and make sure you indicate that you LOST what you had. Basically say you lost items.

To get him you need 40 canteens, 25 inflatable tubes, 5 extra rare bath tubs, 3000 moon idols and the costume for Peter so he can use whip it.

Heheheh. True true. Just wondering if people are spending the clams to speed through this, or playing it wise and hanging on to the precious shells for other goodies. 😉

Has anyone used the moon idols? I want to know if it subtracts them from your total or just buys the item and leaves the total as is. Comment and let me know 🙂

The idols will accumulate, thus earning you the trophies (you don’t have to spend idols to get trophies). However, anything that costs idols (items) will take idols away. Basically the idol total at the top (by the cash) will go up and down depending on how you’re doing in the game and what you buy, but the trophy total (bottom right) will only go up.
We’ll have a post going over everything a little later. 🙂

I believe it’s going to start with a pyramid randomly appearing in Quahog & Peter kicking it off as to why it’s there. I also think you’ll get the Indy Peter skin that’s on the icon… 🙂

Are accessible within the time limit and the event lasts longer than 3 days. Maybe 2 weeks, like it being the first major event, like the first tsto Halloween update was. Due to the fact they left a spoiler on facebook, it could signal this update being more significant than others, especially, if rumours r tru, with 3 new character costumes!!!

I have noticed with the new update that you cannot see when your buildings are ready to collect. does anyone have the same problem?
also does anyone know how to get Cleveland now? hes not in the store

Cleveland is NOT in the game yet. He’s coming with the event, he’ll be here soon. 🙂

I’m not seeing the same issue in my game, so it’s most likely just your game. Did you try the basic troubleshooting? (hard close, restart the app) If so, your next best bet would be to contact TinyCo and let them know about the issue. If it’s something specific with your game they’ll be able to troubleshoot it for you.

It appears to happen when you visit your friends town, close game and restart after visiting friends and should work again

The update hit the App Store Nuthing really changed except the icon and cleaveland in the load screen it says it’s a multiweek event , I still need one eyeball , headband seashell and a hat

FINALLY got 3 eyes for Anime Peter and unlocked Tricia. Only took about 2 weeks. I’m currently at a level 32 and have 65k coins saved and 102 clams. Hoping they unlock the next district soon.

Me too. Lol. It’s crazy that the cost for ONE eye is 250 clams. I would say they dropped from Peter and Dr. H maybe 1 every 25 tries. With sending them each about 3x a day since last update. It was definitely frustrating every 6 hours crossing my fingers and no drop. Each time I got ONE I cheered like I just won the lottery. 😉

I think they are releasing stewie already from what I’ve been hearing ancient time only stewie can travel from past present n the future I’m saving all my money n buying clans this weekend I think it’s coming soon as well since they did a update today might get here tomorrow or Friday that’s just what I’m guessing n hoping lol

Cleveland! Yes, ill love this event… as long as… its NOTHING like that stupid circus event. I REALLY hope we can actually get all the characters and prizes offered this time around.

No. There are no dates in the files, and TinyCo is very tight lipped about spoilers and possible event dates.

Looking forward to this, have all quests complete and all outfits, been saving all of my collected coins and clams for the next update so buying new stuff will be a breeze (hopefully)
I want Cleveland in there and the outfits for the A-team for the guys and A-Team related quests!

Also what was the update? I saw it was 44mb but don’t notice anything except the exotic animals are no longer available and now it has the new shadowed picture with Cleveland. What else updated?

That’s it. It was basically a glitch fix, and loading files into the server. However, only Android users got an update, so there’s nothing new in the game as of yet. iOS should be getting an update soon (their waiting for it to be approved), at that point we may see some things trigger in the game itself.

The text on the mission timers is changed too, it’s smaller.Not much I know, but it’s all I’ve noticed.

I am at level 35 right now, have all the costumes with spending some $ on clams….but I have every costume for everyone and I have no more missions to do. I have had nothing to do on it for a few days now altho I can still do tasks and collect from them so my xp goes up along with my coins and just fyi I have spent about $150 on clams for this game and it gets you stuff faster. TIPS….i noticed I was only getting the epic classified items from people during the same time the person leveled up. So try doing the tasks you need to do for say the eyeball on Peter and the doctor when they are close to leveling up. See if that works. It just seemed like when I spent the clams to speed them up, I never got anything unless they leveled up too. ALSO when you need items and are planning on speeding up by spending clams, find everyone and everything that will give that item and find which one takes less time to run its course and only speed up that one.

150 bucks on clams? Are you mad? That’s A LOT of money for a game like this. Lol. I’ve spent 5 bucks so far. Upgraded my bunks, bought Jake and the Lobster Shanty and have 102 clams I’m saving for updates or specials. However on Simpsons Tapped Out I’ve spent maybe 50-60 bucks over the years.

No wonder you have nothing to do in the game. I have all the costumes and everything too but didn’t spend any money to do it. I never spend money to speed up a task. It’s a waste of money IMO. Have you bought all the premium items with that money? That’s roughly 5000 clams… wow. I’m just kind of shocked you would spend that kind of money in like a month on a game like this. I wish I could blow money like that and not feel terrible afterwards. Lmao. For real tho good for you if that’s how you roll. But my suggestion would be don’t spend money to speed up tasks. Save whatever clams you have and WAIT for updates. Or if you have some more spare money I can message you my info and will gladly accept donations. 🙂

After I updated my game and went back to it, I had lost almost 8000$ . I wonder if this is an isolated glitch or if the wicked glitch affected several unfortunate clammers

Man I can’t wait for this update. Only thing I have outstanding is a seashell for Mermaid Peter. I was working on clearing remaining blocks but I’ll stop that now as I don’t want my single worker tied up when the update drops! For the people getting eyeballs, yes that drove me nuts too. They will drop eventually, in the meantime best to focus on decorating and not think about it 🙂

I finally decided to do the Facebook thing and successfully added 5 Strangers (Friends:-)). Unfortunately, I did not receive my 5 clams. I am sure I did something wrong since technology is not my thing. Can anyone guide me in the right direction please?

So is this a limited event or part of the core game? I would think it’s part of the core game since I couldn’t imagine them making Cleveland only attainable through a limited time event.

I love that they’ve announced something that’s going to be coming up – all the events so far have been surprises.
The main issue I had with the Circus update is that it required one specific character to be free, at around the same time as a quest gave him a 24 hour task. Now I know to keep everyone on short tasks for the next few days, until this event has started.

It’s Cleveland on another website I saw that the premium character is human Rupert and the other 3 peter costumes are handsome peter ( it’s when he had plastic surgery) Spanish soap opera peter and falconer peter , unless they add others

Those could be correct…but we won’t know until it’s all live in the games. TinyCo’s policy is No Spoilers (except for the little teasers they give), so they won’t confirm anything. And our policy here is No Spoilers because things constantly change in the gaming world. So rather than get everyone’s hopes up on something and have it change prior to hitting the game, we just make it a general policy not to post them. BUT i can tell you there’s a LOT in the files that has changed since the game launched. So there’s no telling what they might do with the premium characters and costumes until they’re in the game. 🙂

Ok I will just keep working on eyeballs and headbands for anime peter so I can get Tricia , one more seashell for mermaid peter and like 7 hats for midlife Lois to have all character and costumes not counting the premium characters buzz and consuela while I wait for the event hopefully I can get everything this time

I doubt Cleveland will be a premium character. He is one of the guys after all. The premium character may be Rallo or Cleveland Brown Jr. I enjoyed The Cleveland Brown Show while it lasted.

Of course it has to be Cleveland. We knew that more or less the moment FaceSpace had its FaceLift and the question mark appeared with the guys. The event seems promising too, better than the ones they’ve churned out so far (The Circus event wasn’t so bad, after all i spent clams on it)
My only worry, is that the same question mark appears with the premium characters, which either means that there is ANOTHER yet unannounced character that you will have to spend hard earned clams on, or that Cleveland will be a premium character. And if he is, it’s reasonable to expect him to be COSTLY…
Currently Consuela is the most popular and the most expensive premium character, but I’m sure TinyCo know that Cleveland is more popular and more desirable than Consuela, so I dread to think how much they are willing to charge, and how many of us are willing to pay.
But then I could be wrong… Let’s hope so 🙂

I hope he isn’t a premium character because I’m trying not to spend any actual cash on this game. It took me awhile to buy Jake Tucker and I’m still working on Consuela and Buzz Killington. If Cleveland weren’t premium and finished off the set with Peter, Quagmire, and Joe, the clam reward would help quite a bit with purchasing one of the two aforementioned premium characters.
