Update: TinyCo has changed the toy change time to 10pm PDT. (1am EDT and 0500GMT). This gives you a few extra hours to collect those toys! 🙂
Hey there Clammers. In pure TinyCo fashion, there was a lil update to your games in the weeeeeeeeee hours of the night. What did it bring? Well take a peak below if you want…
Stewie is having a lil Tea Party and you can win toys. He can party every day up to 3 times to get a chance at cool stuff and…a new lil friend, Rupert!
We will update the post with some of the details and bring more as the event goes on and we verify the live game play. It will end on Tuesday, so have fun!
So how does all this work? Well characters around Quahog have tasks that will help Stewie earn the toys he is looking for. You just need to find out who. You will have 3 chances for a Tea Party a day, and the toys change at Noon PDT. So get what toys you can before then.
So far I have been able to still do this event with Stewie NOT unlocked. Bob’s Funland is repaired and this game is still collecting items to unlock him. Let us know if you are unable to play with Bob’s Funland not unlocked or repaired yet. Also just tested game on District 5, Joe not unlocked…still can play this Event. So no worries on Stewie being needed so far.
Tea Party Tasks: (You only get ONE awarded per task when they drop)

Of course there are Decorations to “help” get the toys too… (I don’t know if it is just my game, but a toy dropped for me every single Payout.)
Stewie’s Sandbox: 125 Clams. Drops Giraffes (Uncommon Rate). Payout of $30 & 20XP Every 4 hours.
Topiary Stewie: 200 Clams. Drops Giraffes (Uncommon Rate). Payout of $20 & 15XP Every 2 hours.
Once you gathered the Toys at each of the 3 levels for the party guests (Yes these are the TOTAL amounts of that days toys you need to unlock the box. And no, they do not subtract. 6 toys, plus 8 more to 14 toys, plus 10 more to 24 toys)…
You are then given a Tea Party Mystery Box to open. (It will show up in your “Featured” Menu as a Free item.)

Once you have completed the 3 separate Tea Parties and opened your 3 Tea Party Boxes, the icons to earn the toys will no longer show next to the characters tasks. You will then have to wait for the Tea Party Toy to reset at 12 PDT, then start earning the next one.
You will also notice that you now can go to Level 50 in your games. WOOHOO higher Level. Now that XP collection should start back up again for all of you that it stopped. Lol.

Stayed up til midnight central time. No change, still says giraffes at 12:07. Good thing I’m a teacher and have these weeks off in the summer or I’d be really annoyed at this whole thing. I’ll give it til 12:15 before saying screw it and reassigning the giraffe tasks.

Just to confirm to anyone who might’ve gotten excited that they figured out a short cut (like me) JUST BECAUSE YOU PURCHASE THE ITEMS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANT WIN THEM DURING THE TEA PARTY. I bought all the stuff available for coins and low clams (everything but the Lobster Shanty, Peter’s Pirate Car, and the Pawtucket Ale Truck) and the first item I won…Gold Digger Island. Something I already had two of. So don’t waste your cash or clams hoping to increase your odds. Learn from me! 😦

Is it a glitch that I got got 2 flashlights lights then but spun the box 5 times don’t understand how I did the glitch but I used clams to speed up stewie sandbox until I got 24 and I spun it 5 times

GMT does not equal UK time. It doesn’t take into account daylight saving.
When winter hits GMT will be one hour ahead of the actual time in the UK. In summer it is one hour behind.
I suggest you bookmark the world clock which takes all the worlds clock changing fobiles into account.

It doesn’t say 5am UK time, it says 0500 GMT…..which is 1am on the East Coast of the US and 10pm on the Pacific Coast of the US. Sorry if it confused you, I just figured GMT was a helpful time to give for those all over Europe, since it’s a base time to go off of.

As long as there are prizes to be won, and the game is allowing you to collect toys, I see no reason why not. But, we are still getting information from TinyCo….so check back here from time to time (plus, I get lonely locked up in the “Tower”) 😛

Not sure if it Is a bug with just my game, but after I got Rupert on the first try I was able to get unlimited tanning salons for free, which is good for coins at 60 per 12 hours each. I stopped at 21 with nowhere left to put them. Also not sure if it matters, but I had bought the majority of the prizes before hand, so I am not sure if those were automatically taken out of my probability and helped get Rupert of first try.

I was just wondering how many Giraffes were needed to unlock Rupert? I see there’s a bar when you collect a giraffe but does that mean it’s to unlock a random item or just Rupert himself since I see his face at the end of the line?

He is the “exclusive” prize in the Mystery Box. You need to collect 6 toys to open your first box. Then 8 more (14 total) to open your second and finally 10 more toys (24 total) to open the final box of the day.

First two prizes I have received are the Stewie Billboard and the Bubbly fountain…on a positive not I no longer have to worry about getting the Stewie Billboard and the Bubbly fountain. I figure that they will be using the same 4 characters this whole event because they are the earliest and it will allow the most people that play this game a chance. I have just sent them on another 4 hour task and am gambling that tinyco will use the same 4 hour task this whole event as well…if I am right a half hour or so after the toy update I will be receiving the new toy regardless of what it is..my guess is its Brian’s $2.00 fake glasses and mustache….where’s my money?? Either way will report back if I am right

Absolutely, would call this a gamble but actually being a (mostly) freemium player if it doesn’t pan out I will still get the only 2 I would’ve anyway…but if it does pan out it will stop people from shouting it isn’t fair because getting all 3 a day will be possible for free…just will have a slightly altered sleeping pattern lol

That theory deff paid off. I’d rewrite that strat for clarity and repost, this is an amazing strategy/tip.

I’m actually puttin money on Bonnie, Jerome, Lois and Mort for the next cycle.
My opinion? They need to take this opportunity to incorporate costumes and district 1-7 characters. Even premium characters could be a 5th try for a toy.
You can’t cater to people who started last week forever.
That being said, they are still appropriately in the ‘catering’ window. I just think they have a chance to start building sentimental value on the neglected characters.
Aside from time management issues, I did some free-floating independent math based on multiple factors (I created relevancy) from ALL the timed events, and it seems Tinyco wants freemium players to come up 68% short on premium players on average. That’s actually really amazing for a free game. (Unproven math, please don’t pick me apart, mathmaticians!!!! 🙂 )

Lol I do see where you are coming from but I do think they will always have to look out for the newer players..Veteran players can be forgiving when things don’t go the way if only for the amount of time they have already invested..a new player on the other hand may quit playing if they think they aren’t on a level playing field…and for a company to grow or make more money (.quite frankly thats the point of them doing this) they will always need new people joining the ranks

Just got a box, then the game crashed, but every time i pick up a giraff i get a little box on the top right adding giraffe’s for a Rupert avatar. Does this mean i got Rupert? Or something else? Note: i don’t have Stewie yet (sue me i was on internet free vacation :P)

If the toy changes and you have Peter cooking disgusting veggies, he will just drop xp/cash, UNLESS veggie cooking is a task for the next toy. (Educated guess)
AMAZING TIP for everyone focusing on this event:
Have every single character you own doing 4 hour tasks (non costumed). That’s the safest route in this time of darkness.

I think I’m alone on this but I feel a little sorry for Tinyco, they create a great game yet every free player moans they can’t get everything and don’t want to pay for a higher chance. Tinyco listen and give a little more time only to have premium players moan they spent clams. Newbies might feel duped but anyone who has played through events should know things change. New ways to earn butts quicker or items costing clams changing to coins mid event. Like TSTO events are now being extended, so for anyone in future events don’t rush in with clams until near the end of the first day minimum later if poss. Whilst I’m ranting to people who feel let down by premium characters remember you have characters that you know and love from FG and that should be all you need them for. Good luck everyone.

As a free player, it’s not that I don’t “want” to pay for stuff, it’s that I can’t afford to.
To explain any further would take too much time and involve several economic, socialnomic and plain “some people need to sleep once in a while so they don’t go postal” reasons, which using your post as a guide, you wouldn’t give a toss about anyway.
I am thankful that the game and the good admin of addicts are here. I wish i could help towards the fortune it costs Alissa, Bunny, Cyber et all to give us the help that they do.
I gave up “going for it all” when the game was more stressful than work (I work at a charity for homeless women and children so what does that tell you?).
Anyway, if you could, please don’t judge on the “wants” of free players. We’re not just being “cheap” for the sake of it.

Sorry I didn’t mean any offence to free players who for what ever reason choose not to pay, I only wanted to say the scales never match free players get upset at things so an adjustment is made in their favour but then premium players get upset at spending clams. If Tinyco made it fair from the start of an event and TSTO is anything to go by everyone would complain the event was too easy or too long. Personally I’m happy with this game though.

Would the tasks be the same throughout the event like quagmire with giraffes if the toy changes would the task. I wanna know cause I planned to put my people on tasks and collect toys while I am sleeping but don’t know if I need to keep them walking around until the the new toy is ready than put them on tasks. Also if it changes at 10 tonight, tomorrow, Monday, does that not give us a 12/13 chance for Rupert. 3 today, 3 Sunday, 3 Monday, and 3 Tuesday.

Given the timings I won’t be able to get in all 12 necessary tea parties to gurantee Rupert, only 10. So a small, but very real chance I’m gonna be kicking myself over the 10 bucks I blew on to get the Stewie shrub and sandbox.
It would be just my luck to have spent the clams on items only to have to turn around and buy Rupert. And btw, isn’t the 320 clams for the items steep compared to buying the premium charachters? Is rupert gonna be 400, 500 clams when he appears in the store?

question: you said in response that that person that the good news is he won’t get another stewie flower, so does that mean once the box gives you a certain item, that item then disappears from the box? if so, i like that cuz it means you won’t wind up getting multiples of the same item from the box.

I think you all may be jumping to complaints too soon. If they are still going to Tuesday doesn’t that mean they have actually given us More time on the tail end? If it is three days and goes to sometime on Tuesday; that gives us Sunday, Monday and assume sometime on Tuesday. Who knows, if they go to late Tuesday then today was all free time.
Tinyco tune out some of the complaints. You are doing a great job. Love the game and the special events that pop up! More tea parties ladies and gents of Tinyco 🙂

Sweet! Just managed to get Human Rupert on my second box! So far I’m loving his inspirational FaceSpace posts and his task animation for the one task I have unlocked (chit-chat). Plus the 100 clams I received for finishing the “Characters you buy” section makes me feel better about spending the 200 on the Topiary Stewie!

Then there is the fact that 24 toys over 4 days = 12 prizes, guaranteeing Rupert…….UNLESS YOU WIN CLAMS!!! You could essentially lose Rupert to 20 clams.
My first box was the 1% jackpot clams. Child error! I should never be happy to lose clams from a game error.

I’m gonna keep this one a tad simple.
Very very shady practice by Tinyco this time around.
If you set a time, keep the time. People rushed 24 giraffes when they didnt have to. Then, anyone with a strategic bone in their body kept characters off district 8 tasks around noon. For no reason. 6 hours of idle time waiting for the ‘noon’ switch that never came. Then they extend the time. People are getting yanked back in forth by digital fear.
Very upsetting.

I’ve talked about it for a few days now and I finally did it. I supported Tinyco and got a topiary. I’m a premium player now, and this is NOT the way I should feel afterwards.

I would be much grumpier if I rushed a task. Seems like a lot of people did.
They need to make it right for THOSE people. Anyone who rushed a toy task before noon PDT needs some love. I’m not in that group, but that’s where the love needs to go.

I assumed I had until “noon” tomorrow to run up 24 giraffes. 🙄 Oh well, I’m still going to make it having preme’d up and bought the topiary and the sandbox (there doesn’t seem to be a reason to buy both, as it occurred to me rushing the topiary 80 times would be better than having the sandbox, but I spent clams before my morning coffee :oops:).

So the cutoff is 10pm pacific. The event didn’t go active until midnight. That means unless you use clams, you are out of luck to get a full 24 toys. They have shorted us 2 hours. Am I right? Not to mention the aggravating part is they didn’t tell us about this prior to starting and I personally had all the characters in other tasks so I had to wait to start or SPEND CLAMS. Real nice of them.

It didn’t start earlier than midnight for me. I live in central time zone. Do midnight pacific is 2am for me. I’m a night owl. I’m up all night and I sleep during morning and a few hours in afternoon. That even didn’t show up for me until after 4am my time. I’ve been farming coins so I check every 30 minutes because my buildings alternate. Also with the tasks to collect items being different times as well. No event yet has started at a specific time. It’s random. It sure does end at the exact time though. They make sure of that.

Yeah…when it ends…it ends for all….funny thing about TinyCo’s time management skills, the circus weekend event ran long (by half a day). The “full moon” posted ending time changed several times and the 4th of July event’s ending time changed also…lol there’s and old saying, “A man with a watch knows the time…but He with two watches, is never sure”.

Sadly, it sometimes takes time for in game updates to roll out to all devices around the world. For me, the event appeared in my game at 11:32 PM PDT.

Wish they made a timer for when it ends. I live in Britain so I don’t know what time that is.

You are 8 hours ahead….so it is right now 5:33 PM PDT and 1:33 AM for you…..so the toys will change at 6:00 AM your time. 😉

This is ridiculous! I understand sometimes the game can be challenging and that people make suggestions . However, I’m tired of Timy Co changing the times right in the middle of an event! I figured in order to have a chance at 6 toys I needed to rush two so that I’d get one gift before noon prior the switch. Then they just extend it. What a crock!

Also, I got 24 giraffes. And hoped that the number count would continue and carry over for tomorrow’s count but once you get the 24, the giraffe next to those who are collecting goes away. So I now have people Locked up in collecting toys that won’t drop.
Hope this helps you stay on task and don’t speed up (unless you just want to speed up the toy count and get back to collecting for Stewie etc) because it won’t do any good to try to collect more than 24.

So what’s the deal with the time frame? My game didn’t register the start of this until 2am central. Does the reset happen now tomorrow at 12pm PDT? Are we guaranteed to get Rupert if we get all 3 levels of parties done each day? Did you also notice that they added 1 second to Chris’ hula hoop time. It’s 4hr 0min 1sec. Do you think that’s a way for them to screw us into using clams so we can actually fit the activities into 24 hours exactly? Or can we start them on the activities prior to the reset if we are done with previous day and they finish just after the reset. So like if I’m finished already with the collecting for today, I’ve finished the parties, and I wait until like 3hours and 58 minutes before the reset and send them all on the tasks for toys, when they finish a few minutes after the reset day starts, will I get the new toys to drop or do I have to start them at or after the new day. That’s one heck of a run on but I’m not wanting to lose out on a character like I did with king butt because I didn’t take advantage of the time well.

The toy time has been changed to 10:00 PM PDT. We are hoping they add more characters to the toy hunt next round.

4:01 minute task? Uh oh – they do that so the tasks will sort in a specific order when selecting, so there will soon be another 4 hour task for Chris coming soon.

Hey tiny co if you are reading this can you add a count down timer for when it changes. Those of us not in the states have no idea when PDT is in our local time zones.

Google ‘what time is it in pdt now’ and you have your answer. Don’t close that browser tab abd reload it when you want to check.

Although that works, that’s really a lame solution when they could just have a 24 hour timer in the game.

Ok so im either impatient or confused… maybe both. I have more than 6 of the giraffe toys now, but it doesnt seem to show anything on the meter with the 3 prize boxes. Should i be able to open the first box as soon as i get 6 toys, or do you get to open them all at the end of the day? Is this some glitch maybe?

No freakin way! I feel like the luckiest person in the world right now. I got Rupert from the very first box! And oddly enough it seems I can place more than one free tanning salon. I’m not sure if that is a glitch or not, but today must be my lucky day! So keep your hopes high, everybody. You, too may get lucky like I did! Woo-hoo! 🙂

It’s crazy they keep doing these Friday evening releases. Any nine-to-five knowledge worker knows that nothing committed to on a Friday after 4 PM ever works out well. 🙄

Haven’t heard much about it, but Quest for Stuff was recently added to the Amazon App Store. Anyone that jumped on the free Amazon Coins they were giving out like candy, you can use them for in-app purchases(i.e. clams). Just blew through my Amazon Coins and got around $40 in clams for what was essentially free.
