Hello There Clammers!
A bit after 10pm PDT, the toy change FINALLY occurred. We’ve gone from collecting Octopus to collecting Dinosaurs…
Same rules/tasks apply. Send Peter, Chris, Bruce & Quagmire on 4hr tasks to earn the Dinosaurs. They WILL drop each time they complete the task. (I’ve yet to see anything different than this, although some readers are reporting they don’t drop each time.)
The end time for this toy is 10pm PDT tomorrow….so that’s 10pm PDT on 7/21/14, 1am EDT on 7/22/14 & 6am BST on 7/22/14 (0500GMT for our friends that aren’t in those time zones). Basically 24hrs from when the toy changed.
There are a few things we can confirm with this toy change…
-IF you have a character on a task to earn this toy and the toy changes before they complete the task, the new toy will fall from the character when the task is complete.
-If you’re having trouble getting the box to come up…go into your shopping cart and go to the featured tab. The box should be there if you have enough toys (6,14 & 24).
-You cannot win doubles from the box. Once you’ve won an item it will disappear. HOWEVER….if you already have an item (if you purchased it) you can win it again in the box. ie if you purchased a Koi Pond for District 7, you can also win one in the box. But once you win it, it will disappear.
-Currently, we don’t know if Rupert will be available for clams after the event is over. I know he shows up on Facespace as a character you buy, but as of right now we don’t know if he’ll be available. Once we have an answer on it we’ll let you guys know.
So that about does it my friends. Same tasks, new toy.

Ok…some of you my be saying to yourselves (and you should probably stop talking to yourself because you’re starting to freak your neighbors out), “I just won this stupid Big Bubbly Thingy, what am I going to do with it?” Well, try what I have done. Ah. I can breathe easier! No Rupert yet but there is still one more toy. It’s a silver bald guy (action figure?). And with only 3 prizes left (1being Rupert) I’m going to get him!!!! First of the last boxes was the pirate car. So it’s down to the last 2 as to which will be him.
I ranted to TinyCo about not having him be the reward for full diligence on the event. And after opening it tonight and saw a new toy. I went back in and added an apology, but also a request that the “rules” and “exact outcomes” etc be more clear as to exactly how many different toys (or whatever) will be collected not just how many (I think it was better laid out with the Jell-O shots for King Butt.)
And what is this update we now see regarding the superheroes? Is it a new app/game or another event for this one?? Once again — soooooo confused !! Lol.
But at least we now know, if you definitely were faithful and collected all 24 each day and opened all 3 boxes every time, no question you WILL get Rupert.

The superheroes tease is for this game FG:TQFS. We will all wait excitedly together to see exactly what it will entail. TinyCo is keeping it a tight lipped secret. 😉

The event is still on in the UK and just got Rupert so thats me done as have the other stuff. 🙂

The event as a whole is good but not the timings of it. I used clams to speed up time to get the last remaining dinos and the box, but it’s still not changed over yet. I could have waited and got the dinos without spending the clams since the changeover hasn’t even happened yet.
I feel let down by Tiny Co.. :’f
Surely they could leave a note to say the changeover will be delayed? Or are they doing it on purpose?

Still waiting for the toy change over, it’s 6:42AM and still not happened for me yet, hard reset device, closed the app and nothing as of yet. I do wish they would get the time right and I hope they don’t stop it dead on 10:00PM pdt as that’s leaves us with less than 24 hours. Anyway, I doubt I’ll get rupert but I’ll keep trying.

Yep just changed for me. I’m just a bit annoyed as I had 16 dinosaur and 7 hours 30 minutes left so stopped collecting as I thought I wouldn’t have enough time before the switch over so lost out on an opportunity of opening the third box for the day. Oh well a new day is here and I now have 4 monster toys. Alarm set for four hours time.

Loserville the one empty Grey box quagmire drooped in the morning cost me my last shot at getting Rupert:( so PO’ed as to how this one started this game has to many glitches to be enjoyable anymore!

So far for this event I’ve won spotlights, lobster shanty, Stewie billboard, ice cream truck, ale truck and the island. I’ll be able to open a 3rd box today and at least 2 tomorrow. This is probably my favorite event because you win a prize for free everytime you play. I really want Rupert!!!

I chuckle at those that say they haven’t gotten Rupert after four our five tries. Nine boxes opened and no rupert yet. My prize package shows Peters car, gold digger island and Rupert… SO I assume I will get him tomorrow as I believe the event goes through tomorrow about 10 PDT.
Hard to believe nine tries and squadosh.

I haven’t unlocked it yet, just managed to get 24 for the 3rd party of the day and what a surprise no rupert. Obviously I can’t now try again. Way too short a time constraint.

Well, that’s it. Opened box 9 and no Rupert. Congrats to those who got him. Guess I’ll be Rupert-less cause after losing sleep, spending clams for the sandbox and topiary and diligently getting all 24 toys every day, it would have been nice that the reward would have just been Rupert instead of just a chance. For those who casually play and just open 1 or 2 a day, yeah you may not get him but if you are able to complete the whole task, it should be he reward. So pissed.

Worst event ever!
Actually, the premium prizes in the mystery box are great and hopefully TinyCo will continue this approach in future events. The reason that this is the worst event ever is that after opening 8 mystery boxes (short 1 giraffe on the first day due to the unannounced change of the daily reset) I have won Rupert not once but twice. However, the victory was fleeting. As soon as I went to place the tanning salon, the app crashes. After restarting the app, I am back to an unopened mystery box, which naturally fails to give Rupert again. Of course, this crash also does not occur after winning one of the more regular prizes from the mystery box. This definitely makes me miss the simple graduated scheme of the Full Moon Prizes.
Unless this goes into a fourth day, it seems my chances at getting Rupert have passed. Although, maybe TinyCo will come through an respond to my error report. I’m not sure I could get past the bitterness of having won and been denied him twice to justify buying him even if he became a premium character.

I am a bit confused about the end in the UK says 5am Tuesday and nothing left today to collect if so missed out in some stuff due to Uk time difference, as have to sleep at some time, bit unfair on us in Europe.

So I have been playing this event when I can and just curious about the freemium players that have gotten all 24 each day. I know there has been some bleed-over concerning the ending time of 10pmPST/1amEST, but have you had to be really punctual? Before doing the super easy math I didn’t realize it was right to the hour to get 24, haha. Without really thinking I figured there would be an hour (yes I know 23hrs is not even) to account for those few min it sometimes takes to collect and reset the task. Seems like those 15 min or so TC takes to reset the toys eats into the next day?
Right now I’m tracking to miss 3 prizes. Think i’m in good shape but need to be on top of things to get all 24 toys tomorrow. I’m also thinking TC will let it go a little longer than 10, hopefully to 11PST, but going to be as diligent as possible.

Where your theory is wrong is your assuming that you have to wait to start exactly at the switch over time. As a freemium (mostly) player I only opened two boxes the first day..but since I had the four characters collecting during the 10 pm prize switch over (midnight my time in Texas) I got the next set of 4 toys an hour into the next day..from there it has been setting the timer on my phone 4 hours and making sure I resend the four characters back out each time. I’m a few hours away from opening my 8th box and with the 3 tomorrow I will have opened 11 of 12 boxes…and will regain the ability of not waking up twice a night to collect and resend characters on missions lol

Except I went for it and spent some clams to speed up tasks so I could get the third one today, and they are set to finish 10 min before the deadline lol.
Since I can get almost a clam a day for free I may speed up a few before to give that extra amount of time.

Never got Rupert, and got just a load of stuff I already had, missed out on a couple of parties as was away, and finished now here in the UK, so has been a waste of time for me, may as well kept trying to get the stuff fow Stewie. 😦 not a happy Bunny.

Just opened another box and another prize I don’t need. Just 4 more tries left and the only items left to win are; Dansu Dansu, Peter’s Pirate Car, Lobster Shanty, Spotlights and Rupert. I seriously doubt, anymore I only have a 1 in 4 chance now. I just wish, I could have opened another box on day 1.
