Hello There Clammers!
Looks like the late night updates continue…either that or someone pushed the “red button” a little too early…in either case if you play on iOS head to your App Store and download the latest version of TQFS….
As always more details as I work through the game…and wake myself up (it is nearly 2 am here)..
So…I’ve gone through the update (as have many of you) and at the moment…nothing is new.
It appears as if someone did in fact press the “red button” too early OR this is similar to what happened when they rolled out Full Moon. It hit Android devices but didn’t trigger until Apple had the download (which, if I remember correctly, was close to a week).
In any event…I’ll keep checking and seeing if I see anything new pop up in the game via iOS…but for now it’s nearly 2:30 am…this is my 3rd game update of the day…I’m going to bed.
Update: Just after 7am on the East Coast of the US the event has officially started for iOS players. Details will be coming shortly……

Ok i’ve FINALLY been able to go through the game and check things out…rundown is below the fold.
Update: 1:30 PM EDT… I’ve added a lot of info below, including a glitch report from TinyCo about known glitches that they’re working on. I still have to finish playing through everything myself to get the rest of the details. This is as updated as it’s going to get for now…right now I’ve gotta actually work, work. More as I can get some time to go through it…

This will run similar to the Full Moon Event….as of right not there are 46 days 9 hrs 15m left in the the event. So it should end around September 9th….
Here’s the Event Details from the Game itself…. 
The new event currency for this one is Blam! Energy Drinks. You collect them, just like you did the butts. They’ll look like this:
In the same area of your Quahog where the Pyramid was you’ll see the ComicCon Event. Convention Center and a few other buildings. You’ll have to collect Blam! in order to unlock these.
Here’s what the Convention Center Area looks like:

Looks like the construction image is appearing randomly in the playspace sometimes. It’s just a visual bug.Event District Bugs
– if a player on the Comic Con event visits a friend that’s still on the Peter Griffin and the Kingdom of the Full Moon event, their Blam will change to Moon idols. This should not affect their total or progress in the game. It’s simply the wrong asset that’s loading. We’re working on this too!
Just to clarify, you’re not suppose to get Blam from visiting friends, but if you visit a friend who’s still on the Adventure event, when you return to your original Quahog, your Blam may appear as Moon Idols now.

I think just different shirt nerds. Anyone have confirmation of this? I built everything at the same time so wasn’t able to see what nerd came with each building.

The first time after you unlock all 3, a large army of nerds comes out. Red, Orange and Blue. The Space shuttle is cool but useless. Does no do, or drop anything.

Looks like they have updated the loop hole for android devices as I can no longer get to my town on android as it pops up with a Load Error.

Mine glitched out yesterday and was showing my blam counter as moon idols.

I collected more Blam the first day, ended up getting the first two prizes… But the second day seems very slow… Mayb it’s coz u hv to unlock Patrick Stewart and captain hammerhead, the tasks are longer and Blam payout is less. The first day I had put peter to 1m task.!!
Are there some strategy or tips anyone is following to get maximum Blam ??

It builds up fairly quickly, but do you have the rest of the stuff for patrick stewart? I’d wait till you get the rest of the stuff you need for him and then unlock him 🙂

i repaied the “Q” building and immediately a few black shadows that resemble peter appeared in front of it. after a couple minutes they wandered into my quahog and when i tapped on them, they made the sound of the star trek geeks beaming up, but then they just kept still and haven’t left. i can keep clicking on them and make the sound, but they still just stay there and never give me an item. is this a glitch or will it be explained in-game at some point?

Q building enables the nerds to start coming into your town. So that’s what you saw, they just might not have loaded properly in your game. A hard close and restarting the game should solve it 🙂

Do we have any idea of what the other celebs in their chairs will cost? Or require to unlock? Wish they’d unlock them if it requires stuff to be collected since we can’t keep them after the event unless they are unlocked.

Thanks for the great write-up guys. Since last night I’ve been unable to log into the game. I keep getting the Conuela screen that sometimes has a connection error but mostly a data error that says that the game can’t be configured. Any advise?

Data errors are a pain. Try hard closing and restarting if that doesn’t work try uninstalling and reinstalling it. But only do that if you have your game saved either via Facebook or your email 🙂

The A Buncha Tools store 3x in a row hasn’t dropped nails for me :\. I know in the store menu it says it’s supposed to be an always drop. Anyone else have this problem?

Yea it’s a recurring glitch we’re seeing right now. We’ve got reports into TinyCo about it and we’re awaiting a response. In the meantime my suggestion is sent an in game message about it, you never know if they’ll compensate you for the glitch 🙂

So far I’ve got the q building built, the clamterprise finished, the furry dungeon and just started the convention centre build. Got 2400 blam and working on new characters and costumes.

My birthdays on the 24th next month and I’m hoping for iTunes cards but that also means clams to buy stuff…..would leaving clam purchases to the 24th be a bit risky or will I have enough time…….

If you are planning on buying “stuff” and “Blam” assisting buildings and items, generally the rule of thumb is sooner than later.

You can play comic con on android by signing in on a apple device for 2 seconds the go on android and it works all it needs is q friend

Got a little over 1000 blam on the first day. They seem to be giving it out with an eye dropper. I even bought the 400 clam bam truck. They really need to up the drop totals or lower the prize requirements at the pace I’m on now it will take 100 days to get the last prize

These events always scale upwards. The more you unlock, the more event points you generate per hour. Judging any event of this type, in this game space, by day 1 results is a mistake (for any event lasting more than a couple days)

Not Comic con related but this morning Peter the clown was available but it said not unlocked yet. It said he would be unlocked when townhall was completed. Anyone else get this?

Looks like a neat event, besides the fact that they still haven’t cared to provide a non-Facebook social game mode.
Ever since the Tea Party event was taken down, it seems like almost nothing drops for me anymore to continue unlocking PB&J Brian and Stewie. That sucks beyond words after those 12/20h tasks and continues to demotivate me. Stewie’s Sandbox was definitely the last premium item that I bought!

Is there any idea how often each variation of nerd spawns (Blue/Red/Gold) as yesterday I seemed to be getting Blue guys fairly regularly and now they have dried up. Plus, I only had Gold guys in one lump (just before I got the task for getting rid of them ironically) and now I’ve only seen one since.
Are they tied into the three buildings you unlock/repair too? Do you get more nerds if you fix all three – or more of a specific kind?
In other news one of the Blue nerds dropped a clam so that’s a neat addition. Hope they aren’t uber rare as I could do with some, ha ha!

Can anyone share any tips or advice for what needs to be purchased with clams (if there is any need to?) and what strategies must one keep in mind in order to achieve the 100,000 drinks to unlock Takei by day 46 of this event please?
Is there any hope to achieve that amount for a freemium player like myself or am I practically doomed if I don’t purchase some items via clams? 😛

Read through the comments, several have supplied tips. “Matthew” has an excellent plan. What to buy is a decision each player must make on there own, me, I bought all the “helper” buildings because they look cool. I believe you can buy multiple trucks. If you buy one, let me know if I was correct. 😉

So I purchased the A’Buncha tools building and it says that it will always drop nails yet it doesn’t, I just collected form it and nothing dropped. It’s the same with the Chutes and Lads building. When you click on the building in game it says it has a chance to drop something. I didn’t buy these building for a chance that something would drop I got them because it said they would always drop an item. so just another bug that needs to be fixed 🙂

I would think they’d compensate, but I’m not 100% sure in this case. We’ve sent them messages through our channels as well, so hopefully it’ll be resolved quickly. 🙂

If you visited a “friend” who hasn’t removed the “full moon” event. It turns your Blam into butts. TinyCo is working this “bug”.

Am pleased I managed to buy the gay bar and nail shop before they went up to 50 clams each. But thought I would let you all know that is says it always drops the items but this is not true. I have collected from the nail shop twice and not got an item. Also the gay bar has only dropped 1 drink out of 3 attempts.

Send a message to TinyCo so they can look at your game files to see why it’s not dropping all the time. I assume you are working on unlocking Captain Hammered? Nails won’t drop until you are.

Some players got fed up during the full moon event. They stopped playing the game, thus it never got updated. It will still show the pyramid stuff where the comic con stuff is now. I had one in my friends list, but I “unfriended” them a week ago.

I have a friend that downloaded the game most just to get Nathan Fillion. So far the comic con stuff isn’t showing up. It’s on iOS. Do you have to reach a certain level before the comic con stuff starts? Also any clue when Mr. Fillion will be added to the game?

I’m on there too runic, but I REFUSE to link (even my fake account) with Facebook. It’s my little protest about the friend thing lol (although i’m sure Cyber will eventually twist my arm enough that I do it).
I know TC is looking at other ways to add friends, for now Facebook was the best option for them. Hopefully in the coming months (before Halloween maybe) they’ll have something up 🙂

First of all, so glad i bought the captain hammered buildings early. But the reason for my post here is that I would like to request that they reward people for buying the premium characters. Seriously so incredibly lame that they’re useless in events. We actually bought them. With real money. Shouldn’t they present an advantage?

Not enough so many things cost clams and a lot if them at that, but TC releases 2 buildings with a decent 25 clams each then double it… Bad form. That out of the way I’m super excited for the event. My quahog is insane, have not unlocked Stevie or Carter, and still trying to get Falcon Peter. So on top of blam collecting I have wizards I can’t get rid of and nerds to zap running around lol epic times.

Then I’m glad I bought everything this morning to save some clams and I just bought jeeves building before they jack the price on that one.
I know it only the first day, but I don’t know why, I’m having more fun playing the comic con event then the kingdom of the full moon event. Probably because I was stuck in district 7 for a while and moving onto district 8, while trying to get everything for king butt. Now I have just about everything unlocked but Stewie, those Plutonium refuse to show up and I still have quite of bit of blueprints to get.

Just wanted to say that I have iOS, and have been playing the new update. I just now loaded up the game on an android tablet, and I was able to continue my game no problem (collected some blam and squashed some nerds without the game crashing). Just thought I would share this so if anyone has the ability to get on iOS for a minute to get the update, you should be able to continue on your android device.
Note: I am not saying that this will work for everyone, just saying that it did in my experience. The android that I was using was my son’s nabi tablet in parent mode.

I tried to play earlier on Android but had already started it on the iPad, and it said update required. After taking me to Google Play it did not have the option, so I would just get booted.
I’m wondering it due to the nature of being able to play on multiple devices, that their hand was forced to drop it early? I was thinking I was hosed because I usually play at work on my phone (shhhh), but really wanted to check out the new stuff on the family’s iPad.

Not sure why iOS got early update, could be part of the contract they signed with them. Android updates next week.

I’m waiting on a response from TC but I paid 29 clams for the remaining 562 blam needed for Patrick Stewart. My blam went to 0 and cleared that requirement but my total blam/trophies remained the same. I’m hoping I get trophy credit for that blam; especially since I paid clams for it.

Finally heard from TC today and got full credit for the missing blam in my trophy count. 😀 That put me over enough to unlock the gatomobile! 🙂 Now, if I can just get those last darn maracas and plutonium sticks for PBJ Brian and Stewie!

I still haven’t heard anything from them. Bernie, I see your point, but in my case I’m still far from getting all the pizza and comic requirements to actually unlock Patrick Stewart. I paid the clams intending to bump up my total blam to go ahead and unlock the Rock-It Playground.
