Hello There Clammers!
Here we are in the final week of a long and grinding Comic Con Event. Every week for 7 weeks there has been something new introduced into the game, some good and some meh…but we’ve been grinding it out together for the last 7 weeks.
And now we’re in the home stretch…when those of us who have all of the prizes and almost all of the costumes are starting to think we can slow down a bit. After all, bombing minions and collecting harpoons is REALLY starting to feel like a grind. BUT TinyCo doesn’t want us to slow down….no they like when we’re constantly in our games checking every couple of hours. I get it. It’s what makes this game great.
So what does TinyCo do to get us grinding out these last few days? With less than 6 days left in the event they release Stripper Bonnie (a costume MANY of you have been requesting for a while now). Cool right? Wrong!
With a Comic-Con Event that has been AMAZING…this, in the final days, is an EPIC fail on the part of TinyCo….
First, let me say (as many of you already know) Bunny and I ADORE TinyCo and the staff that works there. It’s a fantastic company and they really love what they do. They want to make this the best game they possibly can….and are ALWAYS up to listening to player feedback (in particular the feedback from this blog). For every poll we do, we send TinyCo the results…and they almost always tweak something in the game based on YOUR feedback. That’s AWESOME.
Because we have such respect for them we’ve been able to easily defend them in a lot of cases. While we agree with player reaction to a lot of things, we can see the other side of the situation and often times get what’s going on. We always relay your feedback to them, but we get it. We can defend them. We can understand what it is they’re doing, and why they’re doing it.
But this….I can’t defend this.
It’s bad enough that they release a character with Rare and Extra Rare items with less than 6 days left to go…BUT to put the item collection AFTER a 58 hour questline is just wrong. That leaves many players with only 3 days to collect 20 Rare items and 5 Extra Rare items (I know there’s common in there but they should fall fairly easily).
THREE DAYS?! Are you kidding me? It’s been a week since Rollocop hit the game and I’m STILL not done collecting everything for him (and he also only needed 5 Extra Rare items) and you expect me to get everything for Bonnie in THREE DAYS?! Especially when all of the tasks are 4, 6 and 8hrs long?! Seriously?
Not a fan of this AT ALL. If TinyCo wanted people to spend Clams on Stripper Bonnie they should have just made it a Premium Costume. I gladly would have shelled out clams for her…if they were being honest up front and saying “Hey spend Clams on her if you want her!” Although…I WON’T pay the 650 clams it would cost the rush build her this way. (especially after already spending $150+ in my personal game just for THIS EVENT and having less than 500 clams of it left)
I know many of you agree with me on this. You have no issues grinding it out to get stuff BUT you take exception when you have THREE DAYS to do it!
So, because we’re not just those who like to attack and run away…let’s give some constructive criticism to TinyCo about what they can do to make this situation better….here are my ideas:
-Switch Stripper Bonnie to a Premium Costume, costing no more than 150 clams (it is a skin after all)…or bundle her with the new Stripper pole for 170 Clams, and let it be an instant create.
-Open her costume up in Al Harrington’s NOW so we can start earning the STUFF needed to collect her BEFORE we complete the 58hr questline. That way we have more than 3 days to earn everything.
-Change the drop rates on the items so the rare items are Uncommon and the Extra Rare is Rare. That should make it slightly easier to earn everything you need in the allotted time.
-Make it so Stripper Bonnie is NOT tied with Comic-Con. Allow players unlimited time to unlock her. Afterall, what does Stripper Bonnie have to do with Comic-Con anyway? She’s actually a highly requested costume, and by making her limited-time you just alienate a bunch of newer players…and we’ll have a Cleveland situation all over again.
I think any one of those four options are fair. Many players, myself included, are MORE than willing to grind it out and earn the costume (or spend a reasonable amount of Clams on it)…BUT feel it’s extremely difficult to do so with the allotted time. Any of those four options are fair to both players AND TinyCo.
And let’s try not to have short term memories here. Let’s remember all the AMAZING things TinyCo has done during this event….
-Actual Celebrities, VOICED, in our games! (many for free)
– Made it A LOT easier to earn ALL of the Blam! Required to unlock all of the prizes (and many of us are sitting at or near 200,000 Blam! Already)
-Countless freemium buildings costing Blam! Currency
-Blam! Boxes where you can get FREE Clams!
-All the Free Clams they’ve given us during this event!
-Really awesome character animations
– And most importantly they kept us all engaged. Each and every week they introduced NEW and exciting content, that had many of us clamoring for Thursday night to see what would be coming and what they had in store for us. And in MANY cases they not only updated Thursday BUT updated Friday as well. That is the mark of a great game!
This in my opinion is the FIRST major fail of this update…and hopefully TinyCo will continue to be the awesome company they are and do something about it!

When I have Stripper Bonnie doing Teaserama task sometimes she disappears for a few seconds then reappears… and then it happens again. Anyone else notice this?

Disappearing characters is a known issue they are working on.

This might be a glitch – Just created stripper Bonnie and then bought her stripper pole. When I went into Bonnie’s actions – the one involving the stripper pole disappeared – it had been present (and greyed out) prior to purchasing the stripper pole. I sent a message to tinyco as well – I was on my iPad.

I figured there was no way I would hit 100,000 Blam given the buts I collected during the pyramid event. Right now I am sitting at over double that! And the only expenditure of clams was to insta-complete a Q that kept getting bumped partway through when stewie latched onto the building. Well that and the esteemed Mr. Fillion (shout out from the hometown). This event has been so amazing. Shame rollocop was android exclusive but we got an extra week so it is fair.

I see Stripper Bonnie has a job with a stripper pole, but I don’t see where to get the pole in the store or in my inventory.

You need to get to part 7 where you earn her materials and it shows up in the decorations menu. Did you get her Part 1 complete before the event ended?

If you have Stripper Bonnie in your Quahog, it should be in the decorations tab. If it’s not then definitely contact TinyCo.

I really didn’t think I wasn’t going to get to 100k blam, but I did it a week ago and I only spent the clams for one pack of batteries and a blam truck. I’ve been logging into this game every day about four times a day and it’s fun. This whole stripper Bonnie thing is crazy. Stop it with the events and develop more quest lines. People will spend money. Just don’t try to force it. Should we write tinyco and voice our opinions based on your suggestions above? If they don’t we should all not play for a week!

you know what really grinds my gears, does it seem like to anyone else they don’t really want to let you get stripper bonnie? only a week to get her and next to impossible to get the 5 wax required the fishnet and stripper heels are little hard to get only the hoop earrings are dropping everytime

First, I agree with most of your comments and suggestions. I think de-coupling this costume from Comic Con makes the most sense, though that may be difficult since part of the setup as-is requires Comic Con costume tasks.
Second, for the first time ever in my experience, I have just completed collecting the Extra-Rare items (5 Wax) before completing any other item set. (I’m at 9/15, 4/10, 5/10, 5/5 right now.)
Due to (1) luck, (2) short task times for Extra-Rare items (4 hrs), and (3) waking up every two hours last night to restart tasks, Stripper Bonnie is within reach before the time expires. I estimate that, at worst, I might have to spend less than 100 Clams — all earned through their two Mystery BLAM boxes — to finish item collection.

While I do read this site, I usually try to hold off on the walk thru’s of the quests lines… Well, Since I didnt’ read them finally got to the point where Bonnie is throwing a party, but I already sent the Fabulous 4 to Google for crimes for 24 hours… So by the time that rolls around in 20 hours it will be pretty much either spend 650 or just forget her. Seeing as how that is over $20 for a single costume and apparent money grab. I think I may just get off this roller coaster.
I quit the Simpsons after trying to get just 300 doughnuts back after my game got corrupted and couldn’t get them replaced w/o loosing a months worth of game time. All they would do was reset my game back to before it got corrupted. Took a month just to get them to agree to that. All this was after spending fair bit on the game and over a year of play time.
IMHO I think TinyCo is just trying to print cash too fast and it is/will bite them.

I will be able to start unlocking the stripped costume in 3 hours. Not enough time to complete. I hope they will give us an extension, at least on this one. That’s like the best costume of the event and it’s almost impossible to get without using clams…

I just started collecting for bonnie this morning and it no longer shows “limited time” for her in al harringtons. Maybe they canceled the limited time part after all as long as u finish the quest line before the event? I hope so because ive been trying to get the last two microchips for joe for five days now!!

I agree with many above who rightly say that Rollocop in no way whatsoever made up for Android users getting the game a week later. Especially as it has cost us time and effort to get it that we would have been better off spending on earning Blam or harpoons.
I still don’t even have him unlocked on my game and doubt even if I do get him that I will have time to do any quests he may come with. Makes this all a pointless character that actually in hindsight did more harm than good.
As a side effect of not having much Blam, I now won’t get Mutant Stewie’s costume either. So this reward made my Blam total worse, harpoon getting harder and cost me the new Stewie costume.
How is that a ‘reward’?

In my game stripper Bonnie does not show as limited time and is in a normal box not a Comic Con box same with her pole.

I’m not done the quest yet, so to know I won’t even get Stripper Bonnie out of it is disappointing. It’s such a cool looking skin. Why couldn’t they have done with her what they did with Iron Baby? Make the creation of the skin part of the quest line. I have all the buildings, all the celebrities, and all the prizes (even the ones from the two Blam Boxes). I know it won’t kill me to miss out on Stripper Bonnie, but this part could’ve been planned better. They should just make it so that you can still create her after the event ends.

Alissa, if this where congress, I would stand up, and while you walk past, I would clap and nod with vigour! Your “rant” sums up my points perfectly, from the non existing link from the stripper costume to Comicon, to the time we have to collect it.
I always thought you guys went way to far in defending TinyCo/EA when it came to things like these, but I’m very happy to see that you guys will stand up for us, the addicts!
The way the shoved Stripper Bonnie in our face is a travesty, and seems just another ploy to make us shell out for clams (ho hum…). I LOVED the Comicon event, it was the best thing I’ve played on both Tapped Out games, and it even made Family Guy my favourite (I hardly touch Simpsons TA any more). I loved the idea of Comicon, the feel, the games, the prices, the surprises, the look, etc. It was also a fair event, where you could earn top-prize George Takei without spending clams (well, in hindsight…). TinyCo really seemed to have it’s sh-t together, and I was loving it, even spend some dough as support, but now they are just taking away all the goodwill they build up by doing a thing like Stripper Bonnie. Why? It just seems dumb and greedy.
Still, there are ways to rescue the situation, as you mentioned in this excellent post. I think they should just remove the “limited edition” tag, and make us able to earn Stripper Bonnie even after Comico, like she was a normal costume. All characters unlocked stay in the game, right? So it is far from possible.
I bet TinyCo has heard you/us roar, and we will all get a chance at Stripper Bonnie! 🙂

Yeah, I totally agree with everything you have said in this review, to do this at the final few days of this comic-con promo is pretty sad. I have enjoyed the game and spent lots of cash on this game since playing it. One thing that is total BS is that rollocop is an Android exclusive, really?! What the hell, what about the dedicated fans who played for countless hours and spent lots of money on this latest promo and the game itself in general? So We iOS ppl don’t get the chance to get Robo joe?? It’s a total joke actually. I think Bonnie should have been an unlimited time costume for all to get eventually, due to the task time needed and Joe of course should be the one limited to the promo for ALL players over any device. I think tiny CO should reconsider this and make the proper adjustments made to get Bonnie and Joe. As it is, I’m probably going to fork out “more clams” for Bonnie as it is because of time restraints. Im not thrilled honestly, I think we all deserve a chance to get the same stuff whether u own the iphone or android version. Plz try and get tiny co to extend this comic con and make all available for everyone to try and get or buy. I urge all to write them or mention it in the App Store reviews. Thx for your time, I enjoy this site and it’s very informative, I need to check it more as to not miss out on the heads up to what’s next in these promos.

The limited time for Stripper Bonnie completely goes against TinyCo’s earlier assertion of wanting to allow new players to be able to do the event. This makes it clear that it was complete nonsense about only allowing the first few characters to have ComicCon tasks because of newbies. I’m a newbie, started half way through the event about 4 weeks ago and just started unlocking Meg. So I’ve just got to the lap dance bit of the Stripper Bonnie quest and realise I need the skin Cop Joe which I dont have yet. And it’s not going to happen in time.
Oh well, I got George yesterday and am working on the Fab 4 bus and Iron Stewie now. the Multiplier is 1 calculator and 3 mags away too. Not bad progress with the only clams spent on Nathan. But still really disheartened at being blocked from any chance of Stripper Bonnie. So much for TinyCo wanting to include newbs!

Here’s another way to look at Rollo Cop…as a complete failure as a “make up” for Android users who had less of an opportunity to buy blam. I know it was this blog, not T-Co directly that said they were working on a way to help android users make up the lost blam from week 1…but I believe you guys when you say that’s what T-co told you.
Simply in the attempt to get RolloCop, I estimate that I’ve lost out on a good 10K in Blam. Figure I lost five days of Pearlman, Chris and Stewart earning harpoons. Assuming a modest 16hrs of playing time, ea. day, that’s a loss of 20 harpoons ea. from both Pearlman and Stewart and 40 from Chris, For Felicia (8 Days and counting) is a loss of around 32 harpoons. All together that’s the loss of about 112 harpoons. I forget the average, but let’s assume harpoons on average translate into about 115 blam ea. Which leads to a whopping loss of nearly 13,000 Blam to date in the fruitless attempt to get Rollo Cop. So my question to everyone is, how does cutting a week of blam earning out, and forcing characters off of blam earning fo tasks for days and days…in ANY WAY help address the Blam disparity between Apple and Android. On the contrary…it kinda DOUBLES the PROBLEM! And at the end…if you’re lucky, all you get is a character skin for an event that is essentially over before you get to use it. WTH T-Co. WTH?

I was kind of bummed out when I heard about Rollo Cop being an Android exclusive, but when I read about the hassles that costume has given everybody who collects it, I feel kind of relieved being an Apple user! 😛

Omg here’s something to add to your rant Alissa. So I finished part one of bonnie ‘ s quest and now I need to do an 8 hour lap dance with joe. Joe is doing he’s rollocop 12 hour mission. Fu$! And Damn it! Now I need to wait another 10 plus hours for him to start her 8 hour task. Ahhahahahaha! F me lol.

I’m finding myself exactly in the same situation. Bonnie’s Lap Dance task must wait for Rollocop to become available (currently on the last 9 hours of his questline’s 24h Pt. 4), effectively rendering unlocking Bonnie impossible. The design of Bonnie’s costume release is so pathetically poorly planned, I’m speechless.

I’m kind of mixed. .. on one hand it’s a good 15 min break killer and the events and gags are funny…on the other once every thing is done there is no point to it. You can not replay bits, the time limits are long leaving nothing else to do as in fab 4 part 7 24 hours with nothing going on…snooze. most notable though is the lack of motivation to get a lot of the top prizes. George Takei has a short quest and then does nothing. Same with Cleveland king butts and all other money characters.
I do not know how they justify charging you just to have a character sitting around in the game. If you charge for it it should do more then the free stuff. Bigger rip off then cheap indie xbox live games. Seriously their actions are mostly indoors too. So they can’t help cost a lot and you can’t even see them a majority of the time. That is an epic fail in my book. I’m sure some of you feel different but I got Jake ok he was only 50 clams but Peter was free and he is used for every thing. I wanted Consuela but if you have zero clams she would cost you 20 dollars! And she does nothing.! That is un excusable from a major player like tinyco.

On a side note I do have everything but stripper bonnie. And I did like the comicon event. But I have been holding this rant in to long. It really grinds my gears.

Here’s another one TinyCo, how about instead of another clam-grab to BUY more harpoons, you let me use up the 68 modern ones I ALREADY HAVE. Let me CHOOSE which harpoons to use against the Giant Stewie instead of a RNG forcing the choice for me. I already though this event was way too busy weeks ago. Well now, to quote Lois, this is insanity!

I don’t see stripper Bonnie in Al Harrington’s at all….also the “FIX” to the Rollo Cop situation they rolled out the other day is starting to look like whitewash on a @#4t sandwich…none of the new characters have dropped a thing, Bonnie’s otherwise busy, and Felicia will be busy on Bonnies debacle of a quest soon too. WTH T-Co. Over a week now of non-stop hunting for micro-chips with a grand total of 2.

Same thing here. I have Bonnie working on her thing, but the other 3 are working around the clock. I have 1. And I got that on Friday August 29. It is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth about the whole event. Until this, I thought it was the greatest event ever.

It is MUCH longer than 58 hours before being able to collect items given that we have to sleep and work. I just got to the part where Bonnie and Joe have to share a lap dance… and I had just sent RolloJoe on his 24 hour story task. So that’s another day lost… Probably Max one day for items!

I think stripper Bonnie would most likely have been ok to include for the comic con event had it not been for the nearly 60 quest chain leading up to her. Personally at this point I think tinyco should seperate Bonnie from comic con. Or atleast give us another week, possibly two since the items aren’t common or easy to get items for the most part. I’ve been playing nonstop on this event and it has taken me atleast to the next update to unlock the character/costume from the previous week. I do hope tinyco will read this and take it into consideration. I also was lucky enough to obtain Cleveland during the last big event; however, friends of mine were unable to get him because they were not around at that time, so my point is hopefully they will bring Cleveland back and let new plays get him. What’s family guy without Cleveland? So please tinyco hear our voices and allow us ample opportunity to unlock everything.

We have been able to gather tons of cool buildings, characters, costumes and decorations that will stay in the game. I mean, do you really think they will give out George Takei as the main prize to just take him away after the event ends? It would be such a d-mb move on the part of TinyCo.

I was not expecting at all to have collected a total of 150 000 blam considering in the last major event i only just got the 3rd to last prize. I have a lot of blam saved up due to the event 210 clams! I hope to by the mansion and character to go towards the characters you by set soon! I still haven’t got to the part where you can get items for stripper but I would love the rarity rate to drop so I have more chance if getting it. After all she doesn’t have a costume yet and I would love to have it. And I comend you on all the work you have done with Tinyco as you work hard with them to make the experience with the game even more enjoyable

Looking now at Al Harringtons, having not finished Joe’s and Bonnie’s new skins, only Joe’s is covered by a banner that says “limited time.” Is this indication that Bonnie’s will be sticking around post event?

No, Bonnie’s popup in game says Limited Time. And TinyCo has also confirmed it to us, as well as it’s indicated in the FAQs of the game itself that she’s limited time and tied to the event.

I just got a reply from support that they are considering an “extension” for stripper Bonnie beyond the event. This still means Android users need to get Rollocop Joe before the 8th but this whole thing with Bonnie was a ridiculous for all users. I noticed exactly what you did so I hope that means I won’t be buying clams last minute because I have wanted this costume since the game started.

I agree with every thing mentioned in the post but one think I would like to see is the iron baby costume as well as joe and Bonnie costumes roll over after the event. Iron baby is really tough as well because harpoons are harder to come by. Still six left

Sorry but just don’t agree about this event.
Fun game but let’s be honest – its crashed so many platforms its been unplayable. Now I do get others enjoy it and haven’t had an issue but for those of us who stuck by it but had to reboot every time we opened the app this is a real kick in the teeth.
I stopped bothering when I saw the list of 12 hour events to get through. Why not just say this will cost $10 (or whatever it is) and be done with it.
Rubbish end to a bugged expansion. Still, the good news is tinyco would be a perfect fit for a takeover from Blizzard.

Rant Mode On.
The game has been fun but frustration is starting. The event time limit is understandable, but putting in a lot of fan favorites at the end is not. I have to pull Bonnie off of looking for Microchips for RoloCop, (a near impossible task – I still have zero) to go shopping for 24 hours to get her stripper outfit. And that doesn’t even get me the outfit, I still will have to collect items. Why isn’t Joe even involved in either the Stripper outfit quest or the Rollocop quest? And Bonnie’s stripper tasks are too long and have little to do with stripping. A short task at Quagmires house or the S&M store, or even that Furry place would make more sense. The other characters – Brian, Cleveland, Bruce, are sitting around doing nothing. Why cant they buy harpoons? Why cant they have a mystery drop chance, to help things along? They could drop Batteries, harpoons, microchips, plating…Recently, TinyCo gave the power to some other characters to give a hand, like Dr Hartman, Mort, to drop microchips. Yet, nothing has dropped from these still, and the tasks are very long.. I still have zero microchips, as was mentioned. Some, like Seamus, have really long tasks for a ‘chance’ of a weapon drop. And it is a random weapon, and so I have not been able to complete the demon stewie streak even once. Then, Because of the 24 hr delay when you dont have the right weapons, you have to wait a full day to resume killing the demon to get plating.. I am not getting enough iron plating to creat IronBaby. I cant even be sure I will get IronBaby before the event ends, and add that to not getting RolloCop or Stripper Bonnie, it is a lot disappointing. Especially when RolloCop was supposed to be a ‘gift’.
But I did get a lot of useless cars from the bonus quests, and decorations from the Rupert Mystery Box. But since I was away for a week (people have lives and take vacation) I can’t get the Fab4 plane. There are other characters in my game doing zippo – Joe, the Horse, Jake, Trisha, King Butt. Once I get my last tire, Herbert will be doing nothing as well. I love the game, it has been fun, but when you put so much into a game to be disappointing at the end, it becomes less fun. I started work on her outfit yesterday afternoon, and currently have;
5/15 Hoop Earrings
2/10 Fishnets
2/10 Stripper Heels
2/5 Wax
The other problem I’m having is with getting the guns for Rollo Cop Joe, I’m only able to have Ron earning them due to having everyone else working on Bonnies outfit, I’ve got 8/10 so far, but have only got 1 in the past 2 days. I’ve got all the Wheels, way more than enougth Blam, and 2/5 Microchips.
It’s gonna be tight but I will pay Clams to finish Joe if needed come Monday, and if Tiny Co sticks to the time limit on Bonnie, as long as it doesn’t cost too much I’ll consider spending for her, I have 300 Clams saved so well see what happens.

I love this game and I absolutely love what you guys here do. Very helpful all the time. Tinyco has made a few blunders with this event. They made a decent effort to apologize for the crashing issues. The Rollocop Joe thing is inexcusable. It was supposed to be a gift/ exclusive awesomeness for android users, kinda along the line of Golden Peter. I remember Golden Peter was fairly easy to obtain. Rollocop Joe on the other hand is dang nigh impossible considering that it’s been a week and a halfish and I still only have 1 microchip. Now we lose to ability to get him with the end of the event (ios guys can still get Golden Peter though) and we have practically 0 chance of getting Stripper Bonnie. I agree with most that it has NOTHING to do with this event other than Bonnie “wanted” to be a superhero. If something doesn’t change with this I can’t rightfully justify buying and spending more clams to get things only to know that I’m going to continue to miss “freemium” stuff cause Tinyco either had a really crappy oversight or just flat out wanted more money. I agree with some I’ve seen on here, if you wanted money for Stripper Bonnie put a reasonable clam price on her. Don’t give us hope just to say at the end, wow you better use clams if you want her so bad.

To be fair, Golden Peter is just pure S U C K. He looks terrible (just a guy in a yellow/golden suit), and has no relevance to anything in the game.
I would actually rather work my hiney off for Rolo Joe, even after hearing how much of a pain he is to collect.

Started Rollo Joe’s day long task then had to rush it with clams to make bonnie lap dance for him. Cost me 28 clams made me so made.

I have this game for longer then 2 months now, so time enigheid to earn all the things I need for comic con, right? But no, the event just started in week 3/4 for me. Idk if this is a bug or something, but for me I’m just at the giant stewie part. Is there someone else who Hans this bug or whatever it was? I have played the game every day since the day I downloaded it, so it cant be that I just play to less.

I’m with Alissa. The event was going great, but now it seems like King Butt all over again! If they can make the Rollocop and Iron Baby skins and questlines available after the event ends then why not Bonnie? Also, if Rollocop was supposed to be a gift for Android users waiting an extra week for the event to start, why do we have to collect items for him anyway?! Or at least why are they all rare or extra rare items?

I really appreciate what bunny and Alissa is doing here. You guys make a great team. Bunny spent her clams (money) to speed things up and get everything so that she can let us know right away what we need to do to to get stuff (thank u). Alissa (also spent her own money) takes her time to go through the game like most of us do who doesn’t want to spend that insane amount of clams. By doing that she know what kinda crap we have to deal with (Bonnie costume) and I think she does that just for that reason and can see where our fustration is. I know she spend the clams when she needs to. So thank u to both of you for helping us out.
