UPDATE BUNNY 630PM EST: There is an issue when trying to sell from inventory. DO NOT USE IT THERE. They are looking into it. If you want to sell an item, please place the item into your game first then select the icon option to sell it. 🙂
FYI this update should also fix Felicia’s Freeze Tag task. It should be bavk now. For iOS, it will update when yours hit.

What does it do? Well….
It brings back the old loading screen as well as changes the icon back to normal Peter..instead of Captain Hammered. Also….
THERE’S A CHARACTER LOCATOR IN OUR GAMES NOW!! Woo-hoo!!
That’s right my friends…after you download the newest update you’ll see a little character icon in the top left corner (under your level).
Tap on it and it’ll take you to the character shown! This is great for finding characters when the aren’t on tasks in Quahog! (and very similar to the one TSTO has on screen) Note: characters will be listed there in Alphabetical Order and ONLY if they aren’t currently on a task.
Oh and did I mention…YOU CAN NOW SELL ITEMS?!!!
Double woo-hoo!!!
Now when you tap on a building/decoration (as if you were going to move it) you’ll see the $ sell button.
Tap on this to sell your unwanted decorations and buildings!
Caution….it will ONLY warn you once AND once sold some items you may not be able to get back…so proceed with caution!
So download the new update and start playing with the newest features while we all await the opening of District 9! 🙂

Lol Bunny, I was really confused when I read your reply this morning. Since I went straight to the notifications, I had no idea they had released more content. I used an android device, set the overnight tasks and went to bed. Still can’t get into iOS, but not gonna worry about it- let TinyCo sort the mess first.

Since the update Stripper Bonnie is invisible. If switched back to normal Bonnie, she appears. I’ve already restarted and sent an in game message to TinyCo. Anyone else seeing this? I just got her today and she was fine before the update. Havent sent Stripper Bonnie on any tasks to see the result yet because they’re all longer than i plan on being awake.

She’s still invisible this morning. Sent another in-game message to TinyCo along with a screencap (love that we can do that now). My Blimp task didn’t pop this morning. Stewie was available, but Brian was still dancing in his Banana suit. Still in the middle of Precious metal Quest. I’m in no rush. So nice to not have to worry about deadlines and timers for a bit 🙂

Stripper Bonnie is still invisible. TC tried to get me to download a log collector app from the play store last night, but the link was cutoff. I messaged them back right away but still no response. Lil frustrated, but not a game ender so I can work around it

The Character Locater is okay, but not great. What’s lacking is it only displays one character (last clicked). If I want to find a specific character when a bunch currently have no assigned task I have to go through them all until the one I want pops up.
A better design would have been for TinyCo to use the Tasks code and structure and turned it horizonal. Players could then turn it on/off or scroll through all the untasked characters with ease.

Finally added the two things I wanted the most. Character Locator (would have been even more helpful during the event for finding Stewie lol) and the sell feature… Didn’t need all of those fireworks or Anubis Statues lol

I hope this isn’t a bigger issue than with Joe, but now I sent Long John Peter on his 1 hr task – now he vanished! When I tapped the area where Peter was when I started him on the task, I could hear him speak and see the task timer counting down, but not him. Anyone else having issues with this? I think the newest update made things all weird…

So does the museum from the butt event. It’s the same message as the hospital (where it makes sense) so I’m guessing it’s a simple coding error where someone copy and pasted the code from the hospital and then edited it for these two buildings, and missed changing that text.

I downloaded the update on my android tablet, sold off some gardens, and checked out the character finder in the top left corner. Then I went back to my iPhone because that’s my primary device and at the loading screen Ollie tells me there’s an update but there’s not. So now I can’t play on my iPhone until the update comes out and my tablet doesn’t have a data plan so I have to be near wifi to use it. What the hell!

i’m guessing there will most likely be an event for christmas & maybe a thanksgiving 1? also, i see it’s now IOS users turn to get screwed over on having to wait for the update. (what a damn crock of BS!) i get so sick of this tit for tat crap where in 1 instance IOS users get the update1st & other times it’s android users that get it 1st! if it weren’t for the fact that i enjoy the game so much, i sometimes think i’d tell tinyco to take the game & shove it go straight to hell!

This has nothing to do with TinyCo. They submitted to ALL app markets at the exact same time. It is up to iOS on when they will approve it and push it. Trust me, they did NOT want another delay. Not in their hands though.

Oh yes thats awesome news, character locater is a godsend when you have every conceivable character unlocked/bought. The selling option is great for unused items but give me something nice to buy, I have bought 4 stewie monuments at 150k each just to keep the money at a fair level, ive got 700k right now and dont want to max it out.

I’m on a Kindle and it says that there is an update and then it goes to the Amazon store but there is no update to install. I’ve deleted the game and re-installed it and still nothing-just the ComicCon stuff-so it won’t let me get into the game at all- I know you can’t do anything, but maybe TinyCo will see this

I have informed TinyCo about this – I’m on Android, and have Rollocop unlocked. I have had no problems until today, after I installed the latest update. He just finished the battle mode task, and then he became invisible! His regular cop outfit is fine, but switching to Rollocop, gone again. The character locator points me to where Rollocop should be, but nothing is there. Yes, I have re-started my phone, same thing. I shouldn’t be having this issue on Android, should I?

I had a similar issue right after the update. Buildings were just brown earth with a gear icon and characters in buildings disappeared as soon as I clicked the checkmark.
But everything worked itself out within the hour. It was just taking the phone a bit to get everything into memory again. No need for worry or troubleshooting unless they are gone for more than an hour or two.

I just used the character finder to set tasks on nearly all of my characters. It took me about 15 seconds when it normally would have taken a couple minutes. Great for when you don’t have time but still don’t want the town sitting idle. 🙂

This is great, for now I have used two streets that are only 1 block each (and no other streets). Characters migrate to these “blocks” whenever they have no tasks, and they are easy to find. I use 2 because 1 block became way too crowded, especially since some characters will only do their tasks on a street!
iOS can’t come soon enough – I have about 30 skate parks I am looking to unload!

For selling? Nope. Same in any other game. You only get game currency in return, so watch closely what you do sell. Especially if you did pay a lot of clams for it.

Sweet….I just sold about 30k worth of stuff. Seven debris gardens, six skate parks, seven or something else, I forget what if was but my inventory is empty… Cool thing is that I had at least one of each item on my city so the one I sold were extras I didn’t need…. I like this feature.. Can’t wait to see how the people finder works as all my people are doing tasks so I have to wait.

Is the sell price a percentage of the normal buy price? If so do we know the percentage? Will rarer items from events be worth more than the more common ones? (ie. skate parks are worth very little where as robot Brian is worth a lot)

I do not have a percentage rate listing. I will ask. If it is similar to other games, it usually is around 25% -30% of original cost. So be VERY cautious when selling them and make sure you won’t want them again.

It’s 20% for everything I’ve checked so far. Sold off 1/2 my Lincolns for 10K each 🙂

I also noticed if you go to your inventory, you can sell the items that have a “$” beside them as you scroll through your stuff. A good way to get rid of alot of crap that’s stored here… Not everything is sellable, though. What the hell! LOL

I think that is to help prevent issues with items you NEED for specific quests and characters. Also, items that may be linked to Limited Time Events and no way to recover once they are gone.

I did the play store update and still dont have either option. I did the basic clear cache uninstall reinstall and still nothing. Is this an issue or just me?

You are on Android, right?
You might want to try an uninstall/reinstall if you would like, as long as you use your saved account to an email or Facebook. So you don’t lose progress.

I would say to let them know if the features are not working for you on Android. (Character locator won’t show up if all are on tasks).

There is also a sell button in the inventory screen so you can sell all unplaced items of 1 type in one click. Although when I tried to sell my 12 boats the app crashed 🙂

You should only be able to sell one at a time. Try to place and sell, not multiples.

Does anybody else know if the Q Hotel and Nothing Suspicious Here Factory have stopped spawning nerds/minions? I clicked on two nerds after the event ended and both times my game crashed saying “invalid currency error”.

I wouldn’t mind the nerds but I HATED the minions. Didn’t realize how much it stressed me out trying to get them all before they escaped the maze and having to frequently check the maze while trying to take care of other business. Feels very different now being care free tapping away happily.

TinyCo has no control of the release. They submit to the Markets, then wait for approval. iOS is a lil more “tempermental” on them, so there is a delay. They are working all they can to get the dates as close to each other as they can. For now, they are doing their best. Has nothing at all to do with the players. If up to them, we would ALL have it at the same moment.

So I get all excited after reading about the char. locator and run to update immediately. When I get into the game I see nothing new! I look and click and restart to no avail…….only to realize nothing is going to show up since everyone is on a task. Don’t I feel smart now 🙂

This was a great update! One thing that I noticed about the warning of the new District opening soon is it said, “Unlock Tom Tucker, Mayor West, and other favorites!” Do they mean other characters, or just new costumes? The wording seemed kind of odd to me.
