Hello there Clammers!
We last left off our walkthrough we had unlocked Stewie and Carter (oh that stupid plutonium!) And now that’s Stewie’s in the game who wouldn’t expect a little mischief? We pick our walkthrough back up with Stewie and Brian….and their quest to build a blimp. (note you have to complete the precious metal questline before the blimp questline will start for you) After you’ve completed building a blimp that’s when you’ll unlock District 9 and start the quest to unlock Tom Tucker…
The Downtown District is where you’ll unlock Tom Tucker and Mayor West (and a few other surprises), These two characters have appeared locked in the game for quite some time & MANY of you have been asking just when they’ll appear. Well now we’ll finally see what they can do!
This will be a little different than past District walkthroughs, since it will be released in stages. So we’ll start part 1 with unlocking the Blimp, opening the Downtown District & unlocked Tom Tucker. At this point there are no more quests, until the next phase of District 9.
Unlocking characters and items in the Downtown District will take a lot of patience, as the list of “Stuff” required to unlock is longer and the quantities of each are greater. Take your time, try not to get frustrated when the items don’t appear. Try a different task to unlock the item, or try working on a different item.
So let’s pick our walkthrough back up with Brian and Stewie and Stewie’s quest to build a blimp…
Just a reminder
To unlock characters: once you’ve collected all of the “Stuff”, you’ll need to go through their items again and tap the ones with check marks. Once you’ve gone through each one the lock over the character’s head will turn gold and show unlock. At this point tap the character again to fully unlock the character.
As you get further into the game it becomes harder to earn the items needed to unlock the characters. Be sure to check out the Materials page to see the odds of the items and who can help you unlock them.
Remember this won’t start until you’ve completed the precious metals questline….

Open the Downtown District
Repair Quahog 5 News- To repair Quahog News you’ll also have to clear the surrounding land. There are 3 new patches of land in the Downtown District. Each costs $14,000 and takes 20hrs to clear. Repairing Quahog 5 News costs $22,000 and takes 8hrs.
Completed Task Earns $600, 400xp
By repairing the News station you’ll find Tom Tucker and that triggers the “Amazing Tom Tucker Deal!” Basically if you purchase Jake Tucker (50 Clams), Le Moustache Boutique (175 Clams) and Tom Tucker’s Dressing Trailer (225 Clams) you’ll get back 50 clams. So basically spend 450 Clams get back 50. This lasts 3 days and starts once you unlock the News Station. (more details about these buildings a little later in this post)
At this point the questline stops…however you can still unlock Tom Tucker. Here’s what you’ll need to unlock him:
20 Microphones (Uncommon): Earned by Make Chris Rage Sing in the Shower OR Make Stewie Put on Variety Show OR Make Brian Put on Variety Show
12 Action Slates (Rare): Earned By Make Brian Direct Original Webisode OR Get From Quahog 5 News OR Get from Tom Tucker’s Trailer
10 Satellites (Extra Rare): Earned by Make Stewie Improve TV Reception OR Make Peter Grind His Gears OR Get from the News Truck
8 Mustache Creams (Extra Rare): Earned by Make Stewie Give Rupert a Mustache OR Make Dr. Hartman Test New Hair Growth Elixir OR Get From Le Mustache Boutique
Also, opening District 9 unlocks a few new buildings for you…here are the details on the new buildings:
News Truck– $18,000 Drops Satellites
Tom Tucker’s Dressing Trailer– 225 Clams, Always Drops Action Slates
Blimp Hanger- 125 Clams, Always Drops Propellers (I know some of you are curious why this would drop propellers when it doesn’t unlock until after you build the blimp. However, I believe once D9 continues to unlock you’ll be required to build more blimps than just the first one…but we’ll see as it progresses)
Le Moustache Boutique– 175 Clams. Always Drops Mustache Cream.

My blimp construction site is not displaying the items needed and there is a blank green bar. I’ve tried everything to get it to display properly.

When I click on my blimp the interface is very glitchy and I cannot see any of the materials that I have earned. Any solutions?

You can try uninstall/reinstall. If that doesn’t work I’d suggest contacting TinyCo, let them know what’s going on. As it could be a specific glitch with your game.

I’m I having this issue too. When I try to uninstall it says it will delete all of my data. Does this mean I will lose my game progress?

If you have an account to save your game…then no. But if you didn’t back it up with an account then yes.

I have also wondered about the lost plutonium. I have unlocked all land, districts, & characters. Is there a time set when they will be updating the game so we can finish finding the lost plutonium or have I missed something?? I have followed & done all quest. Thanks much😁

You have to unlock the blimp. Blimp won’t appear until you complete the precious metals questline…

I’ve done the first stepwise mission to find a blimp site now I need to tap the blimp site but I don’t have one. I’ve searched all my land and every shop item yet I have no blimp site to tap. Where is it or is my game broken?

Try tapping on the task menu on the left side again. Find stewie and the blimp task and tap it open. It should direct you to the water where the Blimp site is. See if that helps.

I just started clearing the land for district 9 and the news truck was made available to buy but when I tried it asked if I wanted to pay clams to finish clearing the land. Do you have to have everything cleared to purchase items for D9? I was trying to have everything ready for when I start to unlock Tom Tucker. Thanx

Actually, you didn’t get that message because you haven’t cleared District 9. You got that message because you haven’t paid to upgrade your workers. With only one worker, you can only perform one “build” task at a time. So, while you are clearing land, you cannot build another building.

i just have 1 more soap for Meg, 3 props and 7 panels left to go!
Plutonium came much easier than anticipated! Didnt need Meg at all
i believe i should unlock Meg in about 4 hrs!
All i do is just keep getting stuff for the most important aka time limited or i start unlocking characters as they are introduced and saving the latest ones for last!
Also when it takes far too long to get items, i will give a character a switch to a different task then do the item one again! I have found that switching up occassionally will trigger an item! That is how i got my eyeballs for Anime Peter plus constant persistance!
I am sooooo ready for an adding friends outlet besides FaceHell! LOL

So after finally building the blimp I have to wait 20 hours to clear two patches of land, then another 20 hours to clear the third patch, and then another 8 hours just to repair the News building? Two days of doing nothing before I can even collect for Tom? Is that right?
Sorry, but these waits are really getting ridiculous. I don’t mind having to try for more extra rare items and all, but at least I feel like I’m doing something when waiting to see if I got the item. 48 hours just for the right to collect them really puts you off.

Makes sense, although it took me until now to build the blimp, and it’ll take until Wednesday evening to start collecting for Tom, with the next part unlocked Thursday.
I know the real point is likely to sell clams to make it go faster, I’m just saying, I’d rather be collecting stuff, even lots of it, even epic level stuff, than sitting on my hands waiting for land to clear.

After resolving my phone issues, I’m now back on crack (err … I mean back on track).
Unlocked prison meg & should be able to finish her quest by wednesday evening. One last night of waking up every 2 hours to hit the plutonium pipe & hopefully my last 2 propellers will drop by tomorrow evening. I can have D9 unlocked & start working on Tucker by Thursday.
Ahhh … all is right in the world … except the mysterious absence of giant prawns. Hmmm?

Well I’m extremely annoyed. I just finished the blimp, clicked build, game crashed and lost all my parts and it didn’t build. I sent them a message, but I don’t know if it’ll do any good.

This happened to me also. Collected all the parts , finally got the last plutonium, clicked on the build button. A short cut scene of the blimp appearing over the tower, then a window with Stewie and Brian where it said something . The game crashed at this point and when I got back on , all my parts where gone and showing zeroes for everything again on the build the blimp quest.

I am just wondering how people are approaching the Prisoner Meg/Blimp tasks. Myself, I have had Brian and Stewie do the parts gathering in time order from shortest to longest (avoiding the blue plutonium until I had Prisoner Meg unlocked at least to have one more person trying to get those). I also like the extra rares on low time, as it reduces frustration levels for me. The eyes for Anime Peter were just the worst just to unlock a tertiary character (long task time with only two character task to get them) and almost ended my game.
I also put Meg on getting plutonium instead of working to complete her prisoner persona questline. She has a go to school task I am ignoring – for now.

I approached it by rarity of items. I actually didn’t have Meg yet, and got all 5 plutonium in one day from Stewie and Brian, dropping every time as if they were common. I’ll take it haha. The rest has been fairy easy and I will be unlocking it tonight once I get my final Control Panel.

In my case I’m getting the plutonium easily, got 3 in 6 of the times I send Stewie and Bryan. I just unlocked the Jailhouse costume, so, the other 2 plutonium should be a fast stuff to get. Good luck 😛

This is exactly what I am doing, down to Meg as well. I just unlocked her and am now literally timing every 2 hours to update her Stewie and Brian! I do the shortest quests possible and the longer at night. We will see if it works!

Have been at 5/8 soap since Saturdeay night just checked Joe and Connie fir the 9 and 10 try since and nada again..they are definitely making rare mean rare this time but I did get the last tattoo thingy yesterday morning…so the 45 clams to finish IS tempting..also stuck on 3 computer panels but have had the very rare items for that since Saturday

Not entirely sure honestly. We’ll have to see what happens when the new quest hits. I don’t think so though, because you’re not required to unlock Tom Tucker as part of the questline anyway. It ends after you rebuild the news station.

I need help. This only happens sometimes but when I click on a character who is done completing their tasks, the coins and the items don’t drop, it’s just invisible. You don’t see the items dropping. The good news is that I still manage to receive the items that characters drop, they are just invisible.

once you collect the stuff, is the blimp an instant build? if not, how long does it take? i only need 1 more plutonium & i’ll have all the stuff needed for it. also, is anyone still having the problem where when you visit friends & tap a character the money (or clam) doesn’t appear? i am & it’s getting damn annoying ! i thought tinco had already fixed this issue.

I’ve made a good start on all the items I need for the blimp, I even have most of the control panels, but sadly I haven’t been able to get a single blimp frame to drop yet. Kinda frustrating.

I get confused reading some comments at times and absolutely everyone is entitled to their own opinion so I am not ripping on anyone for having views that are not my own. The game play on this game is about doing tasks that drop items at different rates. The first few characters the amount of items needed are low, the tasks are short, the rate is almost anytime and the amount of characters and buildings that can drop the item are higher. The further you go into it the more challenging it is and obviously the longer it takes to unlock skins, characters district etc. The first truly challenging character was Tricia with those evil epic eyeballs to unlock a costume for Peter. The second was Stewie with both the amount of items and the length of time it took to get those items..and the fact that those items were never guaranteed to drop after waiting so long. Face it from here on out it is not going to get any easier kiddos.
I learned a lesson from the Simpsons tapped out. Think I started playing it 6 or so months after it came out and grinded it out..like everyone else I wanted to be the top level as well and for close to 4 months every chance I could I went through all the missions and finally I was at the top level..and from there I had to wait for an update for a month for three days worth of playtime..then I had to wait another month for a couple days worth of stuff..etc.. it became boring fast..it sucked..now the few events they have is the only reason I am still playing.. I think Tinyco learned from this as well. A person that starts the Simpsons today will have a fun time for about a year..then be maxed and bored as well.
Besides some dead time here and there towards the beginning of the game Tinyco has released a lot of gameplay..and normally by the time you finish the tasks or challenges they give you the release more stuff. I personally love this formula because there is always something for you to do and it keeps my friends who just started playing from catching up to me in a month or so. If this type of gameplay isn’t your thing then you must make a decision if you want to keep pla

I’m on the Build A Blimp task now. I just completed collecting the plutonium (I sent Stewie and Brian to do those jobs first because the extra rare items seem to take forever to drop. Meg was still working on her task to unlock her prison self 🙂 I wasn’t happy with Distrct 9 at first because I was eager to get Tom Tucker and Mayor West, but the delay in unlocking the News Station has allowed me to clear the land to the west for more room. I’m a freemium player with only one worker so this works out perfectly for me.

I’m so excited for district nine and more characters but I honestly think that 225 clams for Toms trailer is too much. I contemplated the purchase and was like no. I just paid almost that much for Buzz Killington and he came with a house. After spending so much on the last event I feel that right now is not the right time to be releasing items that cost that much. Watch people are going to be pretty upset over the price. I think 100-150 clams would have been better.

I think it is going to be like Al Harrington’s Costume Shop except for characters who are retrieved with the Time Traveling Blimps. Since time travel can create alternate parallel worlds, TC can introduce “dead” or alternate dimension characters (such as Mort’s wife, Stewie’s English family or Vinny).

I have one more propeller to get and 7 more blimp control panels. The way these drop rates are it may take me all the way to Fridays WTH post to finish the blimp construction site.
FYI …. My items started collecting again on the weekend ( after quite a few non counting items) but still have not heard from tiny co .

Does Jake help to unlock tom at all? Or help anything for that matter? I’ve occasionally seen tasks where Consuela could earn items, but don’t remember seeing anything that Jake could do
