The time has come and the wait is over…Halloween is here!!!!!
More details as we go through them….but for now know that Peter kicks things off…and you’ll most likely get the popup saying reload for an awesome new event..
UPDATE BUNNY 730PM EST: For iOS and Android having crash issues, try again. iOS make sure you are on iOS 6 and completely updated. Android, make sure you download the newest update from the market and running on version 1.3.2.2 for the app. These should help with the iOS blue screen and the Android neighbor visits crashing.
UPDATE BUNNY 215PM EST: Jailhouse Meg items should stop dropping now. A patch has been pushed from TinyCo. Please try force close/restart to clear this.
As for the issue of the Spellbook/Portal sticking and not able to clear the task, they are working on it.
We’re working on a spell to fix the crashing bug with the Spelbook. So far, yelling out “insectum reparo!” has not worked.
ANNNNNNNND They just pushed a patch for this. Try to force close and restart to put it in effect if you don’t see it.
Update 11:55am EDT: Guys we’re working to get the info as fast as possible, but with everyone hitting the servers at once we’re getting the same connection dropped screens you are. So we as that you be patient and give us just a bit of time to try and pull as much info as we can… 🙂
Also, there seems to be a little “hiccup” when Drunk Programmer Kevin flipped the switch (I guess it wasn’t sobered up enough)…and Android users will see different color tress but nothing else. It’s coming, just be patient it should hit shortly.

Ok so first…I’m sure you’re all asking…What the heck is going on?
Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead. In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls!
As always..the game will guide you through the process. So if you’re feeling confused just read the dialogue and see what the game is telling you to do. You can also ask us. We’re always happy to help 🙂

We’ll have full posts explaining the ins and outs of each aspect of this event, but for now…here’s a quick rundown.

Here are the event details from the game itself:
Halloween District:
Much like Full Moon & Comic Con the Halloween event has it’s own district…pretty much in the same spot. Here’s a look at the district when yo first start up your game..
Inside this district is where you’ll find the Portal and the witch’s cauldron (more on those later). The Haunted House is also located here.. for repair. (more below).
Here’s how the district looks after you’ve started and built up a few things..
This event has two types of currencies….
Spirit Vials
Fright Points
Spirit Vials are used to purchase event exclusive items
Fright points help you increase your fright level, and unlock more content.
You can earn each by doing various tasks

Ghostbuster Peter
You’ll need Ghostbuster Peter to clear the Terror Dogs…It takes 2 hrs to clear 1 Terror Dog. You’ll earned 10 Spirit Vials and 2 Fright Points every time you do. And a chance for Terror Dog Bones.
Required to unlock:

15 Ghost Dusters (uncommon): Earned by: Make Quagmire Order New Toys OR Make Peter Dig Through Attic OR Make Jerome Borrow a Halloween Costume OR Get From Macabre Curiosities.

Much like Comic-Con we’ll be given challenges to complete in an allotted amount of time to unlock cool prizes.
The first prize is….
The Ghostbuster Sign
Here’s how you complete the first challenge. After you craft Ghostbuster Peter the following challenge will popup:
You have 3 days to clear 12 Terror Dogs in Quahog. Again you need Ghostbuster Peter to do this. And each dog takes 2 hrs to clear….
SIDE NOTE: This challenge will trigger around completion of “Who You Gonna Call” Part 1.
Diane Simmons
Peter and Quagmire decide it’d be fun to dig up Diane Simmons! Here’s how you get her…
The quest to unlock her is called… Hell Hath No Fury Pt. 1
First you have to dig up/repair her Gravestone. This costs 250 Spirit Vials and takes 8hrs. Once you find her you only have FIVE DAYS to unlock her or she’ll disappear forever…
To unlock her you have to craft using your Cauldron. Here’s what you’ll need:
-Brew Chomps the Zombie in the Witch’s Cauldron
-Brew the Electricity Ball in the Witch’s Cauldron
(We suggest to wait to on digging her up and starting the countdown until Peter’s costume is built.)

Still debating on value of premium items…. So I can have them work for me as early/long as possible. Particularly the pet cemetery…. Looks cool but kind of pricey…..* decisions decisions *…. And what else will they release…can’t wait to see what you guys have to say I upcoming posts. 🙂

I’m having a lot of problems with the game crashing on iOS. Not sure where to post this but it force closes everytime I zoom out, try to collect from a lot of buildings, setting characters, and trying to move faster than a snail around town. I am on iOS using iOS 7 and have family guys recent update also on a 4s if it matters. Any suggestions I’ve tried force closing and turning my phone on and off. I’m also on wifi so it’s not my internet, tried contacting tinyco but they are probably busy with other major issues. Any help is appreciated. 😉

Ok looking at the list of players that can earn fright points and skulls… Lois, Jerome and pink Brian are the only characters I actually have! As was stated before they have so many things going at once, so few characters who can earn… 90 % of those characters either cost clams or the event ended before I earned them……… NOT COOL TINY CO

In their defense, these characters only have 1 action that get points and that’s their 1d action, for like very little points. So it’s only marginal and normal they make those characters do something considered it took a lot of clams or work to get them. Else, why other to try and get them?

If you’ve only *started* digging her up, just don’t tap on the grave to complete it until GB Peter is made. If you’ve already tapped to complete, then yeah, you’re probably screwed. Me, I’m going to wait until I’m pretty close to being able to complete her tasks (have 400 vials/30 bones or close to) before I even start digging her up. That way I can almost ignore her, since she’ll only have two tasks I need to do (which I’ll already have components for) and can concentrate on whatever other stuff TinyCo has come up with by then.

No timer does not start until you “find” her. Meaning won’t start until you dig her up and have her popup and say she needs stuff..

As a newer player, Comic con was my first event and I loved it. I figured nothing would come close to it and it must be a once a year level event. While I don’t think Halloween will top comicon it is off to a surprisingly good start between ghostbusters and what looks like at least 2 more costumes ( I think duck Stewy and Meg in the cat costume from when she went in the closet for 7 minutes in heaven with Chris by mistake) this could be a pretty awesome event as well. We’ll just have to see if they bring out the stay puffed marshmallow man 🙂

Been playing constantly and all I have is 174/250 FP and 391 vials…I sure hope they increase the ways we get them because this is way to slow…

Not sure if you played the Comic-con event or not, but I was thinking it would be impossible to get your blam score up to what you needed to get all of the prizes. I didn’t even think I was going to be able to get Lois’s outfit, but by the end of the event they had added so many new quests and things that I had a score close to 200,000. That’s without buying any of the blam generators. Just give it some time. They’ll more than likely ramp it up as the event progresses.

I agree… There are practically no characters or actions capable or earning spirit vials / fright points! If an action is halloween related or directly related to a ghostbusters questline it should earn the related currency. It does not… what gives?

Any clue as to how the ghost spawning actually works? When it’s the ghost’s turn to spawn it always says there will be 3 ghosts coming. That seems to hold true when they’re the ones that are showing as the next spawn cycle. But when it shows the terror dog’s turn, ghosts will still spawn. Not at the spawning time, but randomly and it will be 4 ghosts. When I got up this morning I believe I had 7 or 8 ghosts that spawned.

Booo 😦 Got an error for the first time ever playing this game, and I’ve played it since its first day. “configure empty for Id koolAidRockOut in DualAction” both on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5.. I did take a screenshot of it too.. But I can’t get into the game to report the error.. Any suggestion? As I have rebooted and done the usual go to options..

Well, apparently it is a glitch with iOS and Amazon Marketplace for Android. I uninstalled the Amazon version, then installed the Android Market version and it worked fine. Hopefully this will help figure this thing out.

I was taking your advice and waiting until I had ghostbuster Peter unlocked before repairing the cemetary and starting Diane’s timed quest line. My game just forced it on me though. I opened my game and Peter automatically started the hell hath no fury 1. Does this mean I am now on the clock? I haven’t repaired the cemetary but the quest is in my list now. Why if I didn’t prompt it did it start. That’s so unfair since I am not even close to getting peters costume unlocked. I’m getting real tired of being slammed by tinyco. They pile too much on at a time that depends on the other to do the other.

This just in- Getting a Consuela Load Error stating: Config Empty for idkoolaidrockoutindualaction. I’ve tried the force close and restart. My next option is uninstall and reinstall. Just curious if this is just me.

It’s been fixed for me. TinyCo was quick with this one. Although my load screen has changed. It has my name on bottom left and a play button on bottom right, instead of auto loading directly into the game. This is new to me lol

Has anyone else found themselves unable to connect to their Facebook friends since the event started? It was fine last night, and through this morning, but starting this afternoon, my Multiverse is only showing Ollie, and suggesting I connect to Facebook. when I try, the app switches to FB, connects, then reloads the game…and when I check the Multiverse, nothing has changed. Is this just me?

Not really having trouble with the psychic cards.I have 7 of 10, and I have 15 of 15 eggs. The big difference between the eggs and the cards is that you only have 3 people working 6 hour tasks for the cards, but you get a chance for the eggs with every ghost that pops up and you’re pretty much getting several of those every hour. The rarity level isn’t that big of a factor for the eggs since you have so many chances at them.

Eggs at rare must be the most common rare ever. I have 10 in less than a day. Cards less so because time. But I still got 3 out of the first cycle.

A little trick if you start repairing diane’s tombstone before getting ghostbuster peter, don’t click on the check mark until after you get him.

From the post below, only Pink Brian is dropping vials, none of the others I have. This occurs on iPhone, Android, and Kindle Fire (which finally updated in the store). I just found out they were supposed to be dropping things. 😦 I’ve been just setting them to 4-8 hours of pointless tasks cause they aren’t helping.

Take a look at the actual tasks in the Vial post. Make sure the characters first have these tasks unlocked and secondly…if a building or item is needed for that task, that it is placed in your town. I saw Kool Aids right away. If you dont see them try force closing and restarting your game too.

Looking for conformation on something_ I’ve been getting slimer each time he pops up when I Check the game and it looks like the amount of spirit he drops increases each Tim, maybe for not missing him? I swear the first time I got him it was 5 but just now I got 20

Not surprised they abandoned this platform. Nearly all of the other similar games (including the direct competition) support the older device. Their support is near the worst that I have seen and their game is only slightly stable on some device configurations (not just the old ones). Also their policy to close tickets because there are new tickets makes ZERO sense.
It is sad because this game is fun but often gets in its own way.

I was about to unlock Buddy the Gargoyle and my game crashed and I no longer have the jar ingredient to unlock it… I can’t seem to find the green demon to get another jar ingredient.. Anybody else? Can this be fixed?

Just adding some positive words to all my fellow addicts. This page is great for answering FAQ’S, and most are answered in comments and speedy replies from Alissa and Bunny. You two have the patients of a saint in making sure every question is answered or replied to (even if you feel like a record player that is skipping lol)
I know how exciting these events are, and how they can induce anxiety and sometimes terror. I am guilty of sometimes wanting to rush the process to make sure I don’t fall behind, and miss out on awesome new buildings or characters. Yesterday I made a bone head mistake and crafted the gargoyle instead of the scarecrow. Yes it has hindered my quest line on the who you gonna call Pt 5 until I get another terror bone, but it happens. The best thing to remember is to enjoy the event as it unfolds and bare with TinyCo if you encounter any hiccups, bugs, glitches, poltergeists. I am a huge fan of Halloween and this event, as well as being a part of this great silly lil blog. (Quoting a certain blogger on the silly lil blog part) 😉
I know we are all in good hands here. Don’t forget… If there’s something strange, in your neighborhood… you know who to call! :D, and they are always here for us.
In efforts to keep this place a fun and positive atmosphere I must say again. I LOVE HALLOWEEN AND THIS EVENT. Personally I’m having no issues and cannot wait to see what is to come during this event.

Ghost are no longer coming out of the portal. I am staying on top of the timer and waiting for them to appear and nothing. It’s been four hours now and no ghost.

Diane Simmons’ Grave has been updated to: “Repair Grave (Tip: Craft Ghostbuster Peter first)?”. I’m not sure if Diane Simmons is going to pop up in the game now, to be honest.

I reported the issue that we saw as to problem digging her up BEFORE you’re able to get Peter to get the bones. Looks like they put the suggestion in play. That’s awesome. 😉

I have started repair Diane simmonds grave, I have read that if I do not tick completion I can leave it for later preventing 5 days timer for a bit until I have peters costume? Will this work. Thanks

As far as I can tell. Just watch it and be careful. It can be VERY easy to brush by it and trigger it. Just try to delay it as long as you can til you get the option to get those Terror Bones.

Yeah, I was thinking about trying that but Im constantly moving so much stuff around in my game I’m afraid I’ll hit it by accident. Good strategy idea though for the cautious tapper.

Is it just me, or does it seems as if each event is getting more expensive to play than the next???!!! I have not purchased any clams and it’s actually an investment I can not make at this time. I love the game and use it to help pass time and it’s actually my stress reliever. I made it through the comic com event without purchasing any clams but was able to get many items during the event because there were a ton of options available to earn blam, other currency, and items needed to participate in the event. I know it’s only the second day, but there doesn’t seem to be many ways to earn resources needed to participant in this event without the need to spend clams. The ghost don’t spawn as fast and don’t produce nearly as many vials in comparison to the nerds and blam currency. There are only 10 characters that offer task that help earn Halloween currency and fp and if course 5 of them would have been characters that were purchased with clams. Of course I don’t have them…. Needless to say I almost feel like this event is the event that may discourage me from playing. It’s going to take ages to earn much of anything without making premium purchases. I do have some clam (which took forever to EARN), but I’m trying to save to buy Consuela… IDK
I was excited because I loved playing comic con, but I don’t know about this one.

Easy there. It is only ONE day old on the event. Don’t panic and throw the towel in when you have barely even allowed play time for it. 😉
There is SOOOOO much more coming. Every event we see people panic on day one. No need for it. Slow down. Everything is dropping just fine. Good pace. As far as Clam items. EXACTLY the same so far as con and the blam trucks and sommelier station. Nothing new there. Everything just as it was before. Remember, just because it is there do NOT mean you HAVE to buy it. Hang on. Give it at least a week. See how things progress. Timed releases mean something new each week. As we have seen in the past, things pick up every week too.
Just relax, have fun, enjoy the game. Don’t kill it on day one. 😉

I started comic con 2-3 weeks late as a new player so in addition to playing the event, I was working through districts. I am freemium only. The first 2-3 weeks I played (ie until there were only 2 weeks left to play), I had not unlocked any of the pole people. I had been able to get the weekly quests due to tips from this site and each one took 4-5 days so by the time I finally unlocked all 3 pole people in about a one to two day span, I was caught up. I ended up with 130000 blam, all the vehicles, all the free characters a few buildings (2-4) and some cool stuff from blam boxes.
When I began, I hoped just to get 50000 blam and felt impossible 2 weeks in, but kept at it and was able to do pretty well.
I just told myself to relax and enjoy and see what happened, and didn’t set my heart on anything. It worked out well enough that I’m still here. I hope that helps.

Anybody else having an abysmal drop rate on the ghost dusters?? I’m lucky if I get 1 for every 6-9 quests finishes.

I seem to be getting them at their appropriate drop rate. It is just 24 hrs into the game and Peter was just unlocked last night for collection. So pretty good odds of collection for less than a day. 😉

I was doing great until I just needed 1 more. I had Peter, Quagmire and Jerome all doing it and none of them dropped. So I had Quagmire and Jerome do it again while I had Peter do that one Anime Peter task to unlock Tricia, so I can get to Stewie. I thought I would never get those last 2 Epic Eyes, but I was super lucky and Dr. Hartman dropped them back to back.
I’m pretty much already finished with getting Ghostbuster Peter. I just need 2 more Eggs, 5 cards and 108 Vials. If all goes well, I should have him by last tonight or in the morning.
As for game strategy all I did was make a road that wraps around Peter, Joe, and Quagmire’s house with the ends of the road being at the ends of the Cemetery. I don’t really have to hunt for Slimer, since I can see all of the road on screen and there’s enough room for all the characters to not block things.

Once Dianne is unlocked, does she get a task list and/or questline like the other characters? Does she appear in the game as a normal looking character or does she look ghost-y, spirit-y, or zombie-ish?

Lol. If you look on the list for the Vial collection, you will see all her tasks. She hangs round the other characters but has more of a floaty look to her. We will post more on her in her character profile coming up.

If you look at the in game FAQs, it says GB Peter only needs 7 psycic cards, instead of 10. If enough people message, we might get GB Peter easier!

Wasn’t it originally listed as extra rare instead of just rare though? I just checked the in-game FAQ and it appears they updated it to say 10 Psychic Cards not 7.

Uh huh. As we say, we like to verify live all the details as they can be changed up to release time. The FAQ was created prior to release. So I like they dropped them down from extra rare. A few more shouldn’t matter. For just one day in, the drops are going like clockwork. I am swimming in eggs from ghosts. 😉
