So there you go. A list of Characters for now that will help you in the process of getting some much needed stuff for the Ghostbusters Quahog Halloween Event. As you can see, most are 24 hour tasks. So make sure that character has the proper level unlocked and/or building/Item placed to be able to complete the 24 hour task.

They added a joint task between Pink Brian and Bonnie now for 8 hours that earns quite a few more Spirit Vials than his 1 or 2 hour job’s rate (don’t recall if there were FP’s as well since I had Bonnie tied up).

Anyone else think it’s strange Pink Brian doesn’t earn FP? This is a Halloween specific costume so I would assume it would be fully involved in the event. There are characters from other events that earn FP (albeit over 24hrs) yet not one of Pink Brian’s task earn the more valuable FP. I voiced my complaint to TinyCo, but I’m sure it’ll be another day or two before I get a response with all the other more pressing issues.

I love that so many characters give spirit vials, it’s nice to have something for almost everyone to do, especially the premium characters! I’m really glad tinyco listens to what the players are asking for and implementing them fairly. This event is great and I can’t wait to see what happens for it next week!

Got ghostbuster Pete this morning, used 20 clams as only off 2 days then back to work so wanted to make the most of my time, people complaining of using clams, I use them carefully, have no intention of getting the high cost machines, but spent them on the graveyard and new shop, the spawning of the dogs should not be a problem as it takes Peter 2 hours to get them. Dont like timed events, I had started the Dianes grave, but keeping grave unticked until pete has more stuff and timer not started so happy and thanks for the warning. Enjoying this new event, and sure it will get better.

You are missing a task Jerome has one with Peter for the ethnic handshake gives the best output of any of the tasks so far and gives 15 fright points for only 2 hours worth of work

So, I upgraded to Fright Level 2, but I’m not seeing any noticeable increase in ghosts coming through the portal.

fright level and portal level are different things. you have to be fright level 2 to upgrade the portal when the timer runs out.

Here’s a weird question. If I start a new game will the events still pop up or are they done after they are done?
I ask because I have seen people post about the full moon event long after it has passed.
I wouldn’t mind having two games going seeing as I would know the shortest paths. But not worth it if I can’t do the events again.

So far with every “event” tinyco has made it harder and harder to collect items needed for Free. Each event seems too be more and more of a Money grab. There are hardly any ghosts and the 24hr tasks are just ridiculous.

Well…first, if you use clams that’s not cheating. Second, I don’t think so. Many of the players who’ve done it are pure freemium players. Plus both my husband and I are just a few items short of him ourselves..and we’d probably have him if we logged in a little more over the weekend.

I found the comicon event much easier to pass then the king butts event. I was off by 2 for king butts but I got everything but stewies mutant costume during comicon. I didn’t care about king butts anyway as I don’t remember him from the show. If he was even in the show.

I got Ghostbuster Peter this morning. I didn’t pay for anything either. And the ghosts are spawning like crazy, so I’m not sure what to say about that. What’s ridiculous about the 24 hour tasks? If you’re referring to the characters that have 24 hour tasks to earn you extra spirit vials and fright I’m not quite sure what to say about that either. They’re characters that most people would likely have doing 24 hour tasks just to keep them busy anyways. TinyCo. just added a little bonus to them for the people that earned or paid money for the special characters.
There’s really only one thing that seemed pretty unreasonable about this event so far and that’s how they set up the Dianne unlocking tasks, but that’s why I check here first. 😛

I like that the rewards the premium characters give isnt completely OP, you get a little boost, but it’s nothing that will make you want to shell out 300 clams for Consuela.
You could start a new game and get Peter and Jerome doing fist bumps and get more FP in 2 hours than 3 days of Consuela.
Come to think of it – the Jerome/Peter task is missing from the list.

I’m confused…this isn’t a competitive game so no advantage is to be had whether you spend $0 or $10,000. If you get enjoyment out of it without spending money that’s good, but if the idea of other people spending money on a game ruins your fun perhaps you should take up a different hobby.

Well, you could only read it in two ways if you say that the person has no understanding of grammar.
In order for it to be seen as a possible positive statement it would have been written without the ellipses. It would have read something like:

I can only speak for myself, but I’m a freemium player and I’ve collected all of the regular characters that cost clams. It’s all about choosing wisely how you spend them. Unfortunately, it got locked out of the Comic Con event so it never even had the opportunity to collect any of those premium characters (Cranston!) but I honestly don’t think missing any premium characters will keep a heavy players from accomplishing all of the freemium tasks. If think that is an important factor to keep in mind. There are tasks that are designed for everyone and there are other tasks that require the user to spend clams. If you don’t want to spend money, that’s fine, but no one is trying to make you and all of the free plots are totally achievable without spending money. I’ve been playing since before the circus event and every single time these things start, some people panic and assume they won’t be able to complete the storyline because they see premium players jump ahead of where they are in the game. Those people spent their own money to speed their games up, but that is not required to play and complete the game. At least that is historically the way it has played out. If can’t foresee the future. Try to relax about it. Two weeks from now you’ll be earning this stuff much faster than you are now and you’ll be trucking away at a bunch of stuff.

As a freemium player as well, I appreciate the 24 hour tasks for the characters I’ve unlocked, just to keep them relevant. Although, Brain Dead Horse has yet to ever have a task that is useful.
My real question is that how can 80s Pop Star Cleveland, who is wearing the Thriller Costume…not have a Thriller Dance Task to earn Vials and FP? That just strikes me as wrong.
I also agree that if they’re going to make the guys central to the Ghostbuster theme, Quagmire and Joe should have some kind of Vial/FP task.
My last thought….the Wicked Glitch should be a craftable outfit for Lois. 😉 I mean, it just begs for a Halloween inclusion, even though it doesn’t appear in the show, just as a nod to the blog here.

You’re missing one. Normal Peter and Jerome’s “Do an Ethnic Handshake” task takes 2 hours and gives 25 Spirit Vials AND 15 Fright Points. That’s a lot more than a regular 2 hour task would get you.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed that Jerome and Peter have a joint task for 2hrs and gives out 75 coins, 25 vials, and 15 FP. Which is overall better than waiting 24hrs for Jerome and even regular Peter and his 2hr task. Just thought I’d throw that out there 🙂

I always tend to stay away from the clam items personally. I want to get a better feel for ways to get them free. We are working on the do I want posts for them.
I get a pop up as soon as I enter and start tappin round from Peter at top of screen. Saying he is in there and get him.

I hope TinyCo gives tasks or outfits to the non-premium celebs. It just doesn’t feel right not having Ron Perlman, Felicia Day, Patrick Stewart or Stan Lee being a part of the action it some way.
Off the top of my head for outfits for Ron Perlman: Devil (Hellboy) and Lion (Beauty and the Beast).

Do ghosts stop spawning once the dogs start? Three times in a row timer stated a dog would spawn after a certain period. Unfortunately I can’t clear them yet, and it seems like the max is 5 in the town. Will I have to start getting rid of the dogs before ghosts spawn again? Or is the timer spawn random between the 2?

I guess tinyco is being fair giving premium characters 24 hour tasks..every one will get around 700 spirit vials 130+ Fright points before the event is over if you send them out daily so although it gives you an advantage. .not anything that is insane. (The jerome one seems random though lol). Yes the greedy side of me wants other tasks for the other premiums….even if Jake Tucker is a jerk. Don’t worry I know you ladies have a full plate so won’t ask when a walkthrough will be available (Truthfully scared you will call me turbo or slick in a reply lol)

I’m getting the pet cemetery and spirit vial machine today after work bought the 3 buildings for Peter yesterday to get a lil ahead but I also like the buildings as well n at least they ain’t b useless after I collect everything because they still give me fp points and spirit vials but so far so gud that pet cemetery would help out a lot since I’ve been playing I have only gotten 2 NOT COOL but I’m sure Peter would b a nig help once he straps on his ghost buster gear on almost got everything for him he will b mine by the end of this weekend for sure 🙂

i’m not sure if it’s a glitch but i can’t tell the different between the white and “grey” ghosts. they look the exact same but some are dropping vials and others drop eggs. Am i missing something?

I have only seen one color ghost so far.
As for the eggs, they are dropping like candy in my Quahog, so I don’t even have Lois working on them. Sometimes I get spirit vials along with an egg drop, sometimes not.
At this pace probably unlock GB peter in another 2 days.

I have 4,000 Spirit Vials so far.
Yesterday, i bought 2 “Spirit Vial Machine” (700 clams)
And 1 “Spirit Vial Wagon” (400 clams)
Spirit Vial Machine drops 500 Spirit Vials and 100 Fright Points every 8hrs
Spirit Vial Wagon drops 200 Spirit Vials and 40 Fright Points every 6hrs
P.S You should make a post about this, and walkthrough to how to get 12 Terror Dogs in 3d and if done that, you will win the “GhostBusters Sign”

Has anyone reported having trouble getting to their neighbors? I have already sent a in game message. When I go to my neighbors, I’m asked to log-in too my Facebook too see them, when I go the game crashes.

I’m having same problem, every time I go to visit I have to re log in to Facebook, then 2-3 neighbors and crash.
Here is what I did to workaround:
Instead of tapping the next neighbor to visit, use the arrow key to have the game send you to the next neighbor. I did this and visited 20 plus neighbors with no more crashes.

I think it sucks they only give you 5 days to unlock Diane Simmons. If you jumped the gun and unlocked her grave you have no feasible chance to get the ingredients in time without spending clams. Pretty weak.

Did you look closely at the payouts? They blend right in with regular one. Also make sure your character is UNLOCKED for the 24 hr task. 😉

Love sending “useless” characters on long missions, but with a payoff-(looking at you Mr takei ).
Also, poor Lois, she’s already had about 18 drinks since yesterday. Peter is so tired of looking in the attic.
But, nothing is cuter than pretty in pink Brian!

I’m glad they are allowing celebrity’s to help out in these events. If it was the same characters being used like comic con, then it would be frustrating. Because the celebritys would be useless in the end, except for being awesome! So thanks Tiny Co.! For allowing more characters to be involved in events!
