Hello there Clammers!
A couple of little updates hit our games this evening. A few if you are reporting seeing these changes on the comments. So let’s get to it..
WARNING: MILD Spoilers Ahead. These are all accessible in the game, BUT if you don’t want to know what’s upcoming don’t click continue…
First, Vinny is now voiced! For those if you that were upset he initially didn’t come voiced, all is right now. So send him on some tasks and have him chat up a storm in your Tiny Quahog.
Second, a group of characters has been added to Facespace…this group is called Tortured Souls and gives us a little sneak peek at what’s to come:
The first is Diane Simmons, which we all know about by now…however the next 2 are characters that look like they’ll be added in the coming weeks of the event. The second one is Mr. Weed, Peter’s old boss, and the third one (As some of you have already speculated on) is Francis Griffin, Peter’s father!
We also get a sneak peek at what costumes are coming to the Halloween Event via Facespace:
Looks like ALL of the guys (Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland AND Joe) will be getting Ghostbuster Outfits. And as we all know (and assumed by now) we’ll be getting costumes for Meg, Stewie and Connie as well.
Not bad for a little behind the scenes updating from TinyCo, huh?

I know this is a family guy site and I love quest for stuff. I appreciate that every character is voiced. I think it adds to the game. I hate that ea doesn’t have all characters voiced for tsto. I think it takes away from the game. But I’ve been addicted to each one since day one.

I think that Cleveland is too expensive to buy. 400 clams is at least $20. You have to buy Crate of Clams (600) for $20 or one or two Bin of Clams (275 clams) depending on how many clams you already have. I’m jealous of my husband that unlocked Cleveland for free during a previous event. I don’t think it’s fair to charge for him later down the road for new players. I like to save my clams to fast forward actions for special events if I need certain items.

Having a great time so far, and all the upcoming stuff in this post is so excellent! I went browsing thru the facespace like a little kid. My wishlist character was Diane, and I’m only 3 bones away now, so I’m already event-happy. Re-watching the ‘…there were fewer’ I & II on Netflix tonight. Really liked that episode(s).
No Vinny yet, just unlocked Stewie (woohoo!), Quahog is crawling with both geeks and dogs, but the blue starry outfits all fit the Halloween theme anyway.

I really want mr weed because he personal is one of my favourite older characters and I think Francis would be good as well. Do you know the ghostbusters costume will they be the same items to get because I have clams and could buy a few buildings but don’t know if I should

Do you guys think they will extend Dianne Simmons? I accidentally clicked on her tomb thinking I was getting ahead, but later found that there is only 5 days to unlock her and the items take quite a bit to acquire =S

I doubt it. If Ghostbuster Peter is unlocked, it really doesn’t take much to get what’s needed to unlock her.

Tsto just got their Halloween update also. My life is going to be pretty unmanageable now..lol.
This update seems pretty cool so far and tsto has had great Halloween updates. Gonna be a busy october.

Voiced Vinny is great! And you guys are really on top of these updates. This wasn’t in the game when I played last night before bed, then I bought stuff with my leftover elixir in TSTO, and checked here and you already had a write up for this.
I really love the character collection clams. I’m a freemium player, spending the money I budget for gaming on console releases, and between all the various clam chances I’ve bought Nathan Fillion, Buzz Killington, Jake Tucker, and Bonnie’s pole, and by the end of this event I should have enough for consuela if there aren’t any must-have Halloween premiums. This is how a freemium game should be; people who spend money can get everything, and faster, but those who don’t can still get most of the meaningful experience. Which for a licensed game that’s largely an ad for the show, in particular, is good.

I think the next thing to spawn in our town will be trick or treaters because at fright lvl 4 it says increase fright lvl to allow your town to hold more of these tricky characters and shows a picture of a little girl in a witches outfit with candy.

i just finished the GB peter questlines and got prompted to upgrade the portal but nothing happened. I have to wait until the timer runs out in 2 days correct?

How do you get Vinnie? Because I’m not seeing how to get him and I almost have ghost buster Peter, I have pink Brian, etc… But no signs of Vinnie character .

There were a few days where I didnt get the candy for Brian. I swear to God that I looked EVERWHERE! Last day, I spent half an hour moving everything around town to find it and nothing. I wrote to tinyco and they havent wrote back but late last night, I could buy the last candy for Pink Brian! YAY!!!

so I logged in at 1am to cash in all my tasks, got my 11th of 12 terror dogs for the challenge. Just logged in now at 3am to complete the 12th one, and the challenge quest was gone! I still had a whole day! Anyone else have this issue? I’ll be ticked if I miss the car over one terror dog.

Check your inventory – often these tasks finish with 1 to go.

Did you already check your inventory for the sign? When I was hitting my twelfth dog, the quest seemed to auto-complete and the sign was put in my inventory with no acknowledgment of completing the quest.

I just started the terror dog tasks today. In the “I Ain’t Afraid of no Ghosts” Pt. 7 it shows I have zapped 4/5 dogs. In the challenge quest line it shows only 3/12. It may be that the display is off by 1 but the internal count is correct.

Someone else said something about this feeling slow- I was thinking the same thing lol. At least compared to the comic con event. But hey, I am definitely not complaining…I LOOOOVE Halloween and can’t wait to see the upcoming decorations!! Thanks to u guys I’m always up to date- I appreciate all u do!

Same here. I’ve completed unlocking GB Peter and unlocked Diane, am now on Diane’s 24-hour task. I got the GB sign for this week’s challenge, have one of each prize achievable so far. I put Brian back on unlocking Tom Tucker, because there’s nothing else to buy with spirit vials at this point (I want Octomom but need Banshee Tears, which are unattainable at this stage). The next “I aint afraid of no ghosts” task is to upgrade the portal, which can’t be done for a couple more days. I’m glad I still have the Kool-Aid and Cleveland quest lines (and Tom Tucker) to occupy me, and I am excited to see what they release next. Very excited for Mr. Weed!!

Not sure when it happened but I noticed when putting Dr Hartman on his ‘Prepare for Exam’ task to unlock Vinnie that it is now an outdoor task. I’m convinced last time I used that task he went into the hospital, but now he has an amusing animation involving a rubber glove and a finger. Am I going mad or is this new?

Whotony – actually I am playing on a driod phone and i bought madam google rent tent as it drops cards to build the ghost buster peter. i am hoping that the next ghost buster characters will need the same stuff shoes eggs and cards as i bought all 3 buildings

I’m so excited! I have been wanting a voice for Vinny and had to do a double take when he finally spoke! This event is awesome! I’m excited about the characters that will come as this goes on! Yay! Lol do you think there will be a quest where Fransis is whipping Peter for sinning? 😜

I hope they give Tentacle Stewie some Vial tasks. I got it during ComiCon even though I wasn’t even close to unlocking Stewie, which I’m now in the process of doing.

Oh, yeah!!! Vinny got voiced and sneak peaks at new costumes and characters; This game rocks!… and not to be negative, but the other game I used to play is left in the dust. D’oh.
I luv this event, as with the last one and really like the theme; Something I care about, like the comic con event, instead of butt pyramids.
Is it just a coincidence or did the latest episode feature Tom Tucker and the news van as a subliminal tie in with the game and me unlocking him?

FYI for players. It will be best to have 20 green jars (or close to that) before unlocking the cemetary and getting Diane West. 5 day limit to unlock her before her soul “ascends”. Don’t think I’m gonna make it. Wasn’t able to get pink Brian either 😦

I would say more like 25. Despite being rare(?), the bones seem to drop every time you kill a terror dog, not to mention occasionally when you kill Slimer or tap the Haunted House. Since digging up Diane is an 8-hour task, that means there’s a good chance you can have those 30 bones by the time she pops if you wait to start digging until you have 25 bones. Or a few hours later at most. Then you can immediately start crafting the stuff to unlock her.
Sorry to hear you missed Pink Brian, though I am curious as to why. His was probably the easiest time limit unlock we’ve had yet. I had him several days before time ran out (on the 11th day of the task). Did you get exceedingly unlucky on the order of the candy drops (I only had one repeat of a full candy type), or maybe you got a game-breaking glitch, or couldn’t find the candy sparkles behind your buildings?

In my mind I’m picturing an elite team of TinyCo execs hoping in the company Cesna and taking a day trip from Frisco down to Hollywood with a fully loaded tablet to meet with Tony Sirico in the boardroom of his talent agent’s offices.
TinyCo’s CEO open up FGTQFS, with everyone unlocked and roaming around town and hand Tony the tablet. Over his shoulder TinyCo’s VP of Operations leans in and tells the 72 year old gentleman to try clicking on the character finder and assigning all of the characters tasks.
As Tony, seated a the head of the long oak table, wends his way through the alphabetical list, he’s increasingly impressed. “Gee, you got Cranston on this?” A few swipes later. “Oh look, Pat Stewart. That’s a real get!”
Finally he gets to Vinny. “Hey, how come Vinny doesn’t say nothing?”
“Sir, that’s what we’ve been trying to tell you over the phone.”
“Ooh, now I get it. OK, where do I sign? But I’m keeping the tablet!”

And my hope for Horace. Keeping with the update. New dual action, Pink Brian + Bonnie’s “Split a Rosé wine”. Earns 50 spirit vials every 8 hours.

i was so excited to hear vinnie when i clicked on him! this gives me hope for human rupert to have a voice in the future. that scene with him and stewie on the beach makes me laugh and laugh. thanks, tinyco (and you addicts as well)!

I think TinyCo intentionally gave Human Rupert no voice. It’s not as if we’ve ever heard him speak in the show. The only person who can “hear” Rupert is Stewie, so it really wouldn’t make any sense for him to have a voice.

I got all of the candies needed to make pink Brian but it didn’t give me the option to create him and now that the option to craft him is there it says I don’t have all of the candies! Now to get candy you have to buy each piece with clams which week end up being quite a bit of clams

Check your inventory. When I got that 10th candy and crafted him, the game crashed, and when I came back, I only had one candy (an extraneous one I’d gotten the day before). Needless to say, I was pissed (American meaning, not drunk), but after I cooled down, I found Pink Brian in the inventory thanks to an entry in the in-game FAQ that pointed me there. Don’t know why TinyCo did it that way, but that’s how they did it.

I’d honestly rather have Chris’s Optimus Prime costume than something for Connie, but oh well. The Halloween event is still pretty rad either way, and I’m really excited to see what comes next.

My Madam Google Rent no longer has the jar of bones as a prize. That’s the only reason I bought it for the jar of bones.
Any idea why it isnt on the popup any longer?

Odd. Try force close app/ restart device. Also see if it’s an image glitch and they are adding but not showing visually.

‘Madame Google’ drops jars of bones?! I did not know this ha. I thought it only dropped tarot cards. Have the building but never received any jars of bones. Just wanted to make sure that was right before I report the issue. Thanks 🙂

Madame Google’s Tent dropped Fortune Cards, not Terror Dog Bones. It is the Pet Cemetery that drops the Dog Bones. You must have collected all of the cards needed, hence no more drops…

i’m thinking peter’s dad will be a clam purchase. you get 50 clams for completing the set which is a lot so i assume one will be paid for. the other comes from a tomb so will prob be freemium.
either way looking forward to the rest of the event. working on the blimp as well for district 9 and man are the items dropping real easy for that right now. hope it continues. 🙂

I think that none of them are gonna be freemium, I think the reason for it being 50 Clams reward is because you’ll only have 5 days to unlock each one, and to get each one you’ll gonna need to brew certain prizes each time.

Actually, during the Comic Con event, there was a 50 clam group and a 100 clam group. The 50 clam group was entirely freemium and the 100 group was entirely premium (except for George). If the pattern holds, they should all be freemium characters.

BOTH of Stewie’s outfits from Comic Con, Iron Baby and Mutant Stewie, were still obtainable even without actually having him unlocked yet (I know because I got them both before Stewie), so I’d have to guess that Tiny Co will follow that same approach with an event as big as Halloween. 🙂

That’s probably because the Stewie halloween costume isn’t active yet in the game. I’m another one who got both of his Comic-con costumes before having Stewie (I don’t think I was even to his District yet).
