The Christmas update is NOT, I repeat NOT live in our games…yet. Right not they are doing some testing on it to make sure the 1.5 version is going OK. So a small amount of you will see the update hit your app markets.
Again, this is JUST prep work/testing. So those that get it will ONLY see the icon, Splash Screen, and snow in town. NO tasks, NO items, NO event. We will post more when it goes live.
Well…that is unless we fall asleep waiting for it to hit. It HAS been a very long day for both of us. Lol
So hang in there. We’ll get the info out when we can.
Of course the net goes down and up as we posted this. The Update IS here. We are working on stats now. Will update soon. MORE INFO COMING!!

Some more details below the fold…
Ok guys this is just like Halloween…you have to earn Cookiees to buy stuff (like Spirit vials) AND you have Holiday Cheer (like Fright points). You also have the ability to craft/create gifts at Santa’s Workshop (like the cauldron). So you guys should know a lot of the drill by now…
This event is very Lois heavy in the beginning. And a lot of short tasks that you should progress through quickly. The stopping point will come when you craft your first gift, which will take an hr. And then you’ll have another task to build the Quahog Mall, which will take 4hrs to build. If you’re looking to rest tonight…that might be your best stopping point….

Quahog Mall- 50 Gingerbread. 4hr Build. Chance to drop the Star needed for Sexy Santa Lois. Also Earns 8 Gingerbread and 1 Holiday Cheer/4hrs.
Gingerbread Shack- 100 Clams. Always drops 50 Gingerbread/4hrs. Also drops 5 Holiday Cheer.
Gingerbread Trailer- 250 Clams. Always drops 250 Gingerbread/8hrs. Also drops 60 Holiday Cheer

Note: It looks like TinyCo has learned from Halloween…and you cannot repair the Train Station until the task triggers. Progress through quiet a bit of the main questline and then the quest will trigger. Be patient.. 🙂

Sexy Santa Lois starts once you’ve started the Naughty or Nice quest….(this happens around Part 6 or 7 of Miracle on Spooner Street) Here’s what you’ll need to unlock her:

5 Mistletoe (Rare)- Earned by: Make Peter Put Up the Tree OR Make Quagmire Enjoy Carrots OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
For those curious…the rush rate is around 300 Clams (depending on how many Gingerbread you have)
Jasper!
Brian’s family is coming to Quahog! And Jasper can be found at the Quahog Train Station….BUT be WARNED. Once you repair the train station you only have 7 Days to Unlock him! So DO NOT repair the train station until you’re ready.
Here’s what you’ll need to unlock Jasper:
Happy Greek- Get the Happy Greek From a Holiday Gift Box
Dance Studio- Get the Dance Studio From a Striped Gift Box
Cheer Stage- Get the Cheer Stage from a Striped Gift Box.
Or you can instantly unlock for 300 clams.
Squatters
There are two types of Squatters with the event…Snowmen and Mall Santa’s (and apparently CIA Agents, as they’re still roaming the streets of my Quahog!)
Snowmen
Just tap them and they’ll go away. Plus you’ll earn event currency!
Mall Santa’s
For these you will need Sexy Santa Lois and/or Jasper to clear. Each Mall Santa takes 2hrs to clear and earns you 10 Gingerbread and 2 Holiday Cheer. Plus the chance for a doll to drop!

Holiday Cheer…
Collect Holiday Cheer to upgrade your Christmas tree! The bigger the tree/cheer the more Squatters will come to Quahog! (Mall Santa’s and Snowmen)
And yes…as of right now there are Clam rewards when you reach a new Level. Follow along with The Cheer Squad questline to earn clams for reaching cheer levels!
Secret Santa…
For the first time during a TQFS Event there’s a Social Element to it! (Remember the only way to have friends in this game is via Facebook. And if you’re looking for friends check out our Add Me Thread here.)
You can leave a Secret Santa Gift for a neighbor…and they’ll get rewards for it and you’ll get a chance for Clams! (and rewards too!)
Below is from the in game FAQs. This will explain it better than I can at 3:30 am…
How does Social Gifting work?
Bonnie can create Secret Santa Gifts by performing the “Wrap a Gift” action. You’ll be able to see how many Secret Santa Gifts you have by viewing the counter on the Multiverse button.
When you visit an eligible friend’s Quahog, you’ll see a button on the top right corner of the screen with the number of Secret Santa Gifts you own. If you tap on it, you’ll leave your friend a box that they can open to receive wonderful prizes. You can gift each friend one gift box each day.
Whenever you give a friend a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll also receive Christmas Cookies and a chance for clams!
How do I open Secret Santa Gifts?
When you receive a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll see a message telling you to open the box by your Christmas tree. To open it, tap on the box!
You can open one Secret Santa Gift per day. If you receive more than one box per day, you’ll be able to open another after 24 hours have passed.
Santa’s Wish List…
Fulfill various wishes (usually via the Crafting part) to unlock Santa for your Quahog!
How do I use the Christmas Wishlist?
Tap on Santa’s Sleigh to access the Christmas Wishlist. You can fulfill wishes by collecting the items that characters have asked for. Fulfilling a wish unlocks a new Christmas action for that character.
How do I get Santa?
If you complete every wish on the Christmas Wishlist, you’ll receive Santa!

You’ll notice it’s there…but it’s locked! The land is smokey and you can’t access it just yet. It’s coming soon…so be patient and enjoy Christmas! 🙂

I’ve actually noticed something interesting with the presents. After the present has been crafted, you can hit the “!” icon near it and it will show you what you can win from the present. Apparently the first present gives four different items (the Greek place, a skin for the Clam, an ice-skating rink, and (something that I can’t remember right now). After I won the Greek place, it didn’t appear to be an option again, so it looks like they do not repeat. I’m guessing you need to craft the first gift box four times to get all of the items? I think it works just like the cauldron from the Halloween event, but it’s been set up like the Mystery boxes.

i received OllieLand’s gift this morning and got the big ornament balls lmao!! so do you know if that will be the ONLY gift we can get from OllieLand or if there will be more? will it spawn again everytime i go to OllieLand for the 3 checkmarks? i dont have a facebook anymore so i dont have any other friends to visit except his place lol… if not known yet, i will for sure wait to read for your next post! 🙂

Just keep checking. Other Kindle users said they got it today. Sometimes you got to “kick” it to go. Launch it from the Main app location vs elsewhere.

So I’ve been putting off building the Dog Pound (since before the American Dad event) to maximize my chances of getting the Boopity Pastaria Building. Because there was no break between that event and Christmas I feel like there will never be a good time. What would be your recommendation? Just build it and hope for the best or wait another month and pray for a break in January – all while the task sits there taking up space. If it helps I haven’t unlocked Tom Tucker yet but I am close.

Every time I try and place the Quahog Mall I’m getting a response ” Clearing block will end ( in however much time is left ) finish it now for ( how every many clams needed. ” yet I’m placing it on land already owned. This is slowing my progress down alot and driving me crazy. PLEASE HELP !!

It looks like the box disappears once you have all the prizes. No repeats. (At least for the first box. Don’t have enough items for the stripy boxes since I haven’t unlocked Lois’ skin yet.)

Hi! I’d like to “wrap gifts” for my neighbors but I don’t have the gift wrapping option with Bonnie on my multiverse button? Is this normal? Is there perhaps a quest before being able to wrap gifts?
And another question: If the tree updates in 5 days anyway, I don’t understand why collecting lots of Holiday Chear is so important… Can one update the tree sooner with it?

It helps with LOTS of things. More things spawn, better collection. It helps when it comes to upgrade time. As you go through the questline you will see the option to make gifts come up and you can even make one.

Regarding Sexy Santa Lois, aside from Christmas Cookie currency, I have not been able to collect Christmas Star (uncommon), Santa Dress (rare), and Mistletoe (rare). Christmas Star is the most puzzling of all, since it’s has “uncommon” chance and as such, I should have been able to collect at least 1 (I have tried the tasks 8 times so far with 0 success).

The christmas gifts dont give replica’s ive got all items allready, and the boxes dissapear when they are empty. So no duplicates! 🙂

I just bought the Gingerbread House and as soon as I placed it it dropped 1,000 Gingerbread men. I was expecting to have to wait the first 12 hours before it dropped. Didn’t we used to have to wait for the first drop? I don’t ever recall getting the first drop when placing a building. Anyway, what a nice feature…

As much as I like this game I don’t understand the land issue? This bit of land they’ve released is nice but what good does it do when I’m filling it with new buildings? My storage is still overflowing with stuff I want to display. I’m not complaining about the new stuff because I want my town to be as big as possible. Try just releasing some land on its own

My game seems to be working. I downloaded the update from GooglePlay Store instead of having TinyCo Servers push it into my game. Everything seems to be working as TinyCo planned…I have not found any Elves to buy (drat), nor, the Koolaid man nor Boom box, nor the Pedestal for the Zepplin.
However, I still have my CIA man (I refuse to click him!) wandering about, not sure if he will regenerate. But, my Bitch Stewie and Bitch Brian have stopped regenerating. So what is the Clone Machine for now? I thought they would continue making Bitches!
I have noticed a few characters recently seem to have grown some new tasks, like Jake Tucker…I dont remember him having a 24 hour whale watching task in the past. And with this new event, some ‘unused’ characters now can collect holiday cheer for long tasks, like Brian. Unfortunately, I have not found it in all unused characters, like Seamus, Comicon Celebs, King Butt, American Dad Characters, etc.

The Bitches stopped a lil bit before AD left. CIA still spawn to help Hayley as many players are still collecting for AD characters. Not sure how long they will stay, but they are around for now. The new tasks hit during AD too. 🙂

So when I go to send secret Santa boxes there is no icon to do so when visiting. Is this normal?? Can’t compete quest..

You got to continue the questline til you get to that point. They learned from previous events and won’t let people start the timed event right away. 😉

Quick question: Any idea if Bonnie’s wrapping task will ALWAYS drop a secret santa gift? I looked in the FAQ and couldnt find if there is a drop rate. Hopefully it is just always because it’s a longgg task haha 🙂

My only issue is my G5s is getting hot when i load up the game, and logging out. I’ve found that if I clear the phone cashe, it fixes it. It shouldn’t be a problem remembering to do this. Having your leg on fire is a good reminder..

My GS4 has been doing this on ANY thing I do since it got the newest OS update. I have complained to Samsung about it many times. They sent me a new phone. Same issue. They said the phones (GS4 & 5) tend to get hotter and more noticeable as the casing is thinner…or something like that. Still weird to me.

I got a demented elf from a present because I left a present for a neighbour. It has a ? As I guess the deco isn’t in game yet so I clicked it from my inventory and there is no elf obviously. Will it show up when it comes into the game or will I have to get it again
