Ho Ho Ho there Clammers.
So a Clam Gift Box has been dropped into our silly lil games full of all sorts of items. The Silver Gift Box. 
So in the midst of our Miracle on Spooner Street Event Phase 2, TinyCo has tossed in an option of some Premium items to tempt our palettes. The question becomes is it worth it? What kind of items are inside? Do they do anything?
Well I am here to breakdown the Prizes offered for the price of 75 Clams.
Now there are TWO places you may see this Silver Gift Box located, the usual of course is in the Event Menu. The other location you may haven’t even noticed. Over in your Event Area by the snowman and candy fencing. The Silver box hangs out just behind the Snowman and by the Train Station. Just tap on it to go to the Prize Box. 
Now let’t take a peak inside to see what goodies are in store. As with previous boxes, just tap on the Green colored “Prizes” option to see what you have left in there to possibly win. Materials/Clams may repeat as usual. Decorations/Buildings will not.
Silver Gift Box
Big Ol’ Nutcracker (Decoration): Sits on a 1×1 base. No animation.
Ice Castle (Building): Sits on a 5×5 base. It seems like it would be large scaled, but is actually a nice standard building size. LET IT GO Alissa…LET IT GO! Earns 10 Holiday Cookies & 2 Holiday Cheer every 4hrs. No animation.
Fluffy Snow Globe (Decoration): Sits on a 2×2 base. Animation. The Bear sits and tosses “snow” from inside the globe all around to give the appearance it’s snowing. When tapped he throws a snowball at the glass surrounding and makes it “poof” more snow around.
Breakdancing Dreidel (Decoration): Sits on a 2×2 base. No animation. A recent update now has the Dreidel twisting to the left and right. When tapped, it spins showing many symbols, then topples to it’s side and sparkles come out.
Ye New Christmas Shoppe (Building): Sits on a 6×7 base. Earns 12 Holiday Cookies and 2 Holiday Cheer every 8hrs. It is a really cool looking building. A lil larger than the regular ones.
Gingerbread Mansion (Building): Sits on a 6×7 base. Earns a LOT!!! 1500 Holiday Cookies and 300 Holiday Cheer every 16hrs. The best payout for a building in this Gift Box. Just don’t do what I did and accidentally speed it up. OUCH MY CLAMS!! The building is animated much like the other Gingerbread items. Moving Gumdrops and rotating peppermints.

10 Doll Stockings (Material):
5 Snowflake Stockings (Material):
100 Clams
150 Clams
Now for me I did win some Materials (1 of each Stocking) and got the 150 Clams before I cleared out all the prizes. The Gingerbread Mansion was the 2nd prize for me.
There you have it. Some new Premium Items to tempt you. For me, I am still up in the air on this one. LOVE the Bear and Mansion…and I gotta just love the Ice Castle…cuz LET IT GO!!! Lol.

Ive purchased john just in time as i got the yeti. Only purchase i had made with clams. Now im over 15,000 cookies saved up and at 62 snowflake stockings but i did unlock all available prizes cause t he gift box now has a lock on it. So almost enough for Jeus. I have insomnia so i check it every two hrs 24hrs a day lol. Most of the time anyhow. Just hooe that the stockings you get from the snowmen will be put to use cause ive got over 300 of them. Wish i had better friends too. I send presents to everyone on my list (only 8 or 9) and one is my girlfriend so she always sends me a gift when she can but ive only received one other gift from one person. Bummer

Symbols on the dreidel? OH! You mean LETTERS! The letters are nun (looks like a square bracket) gimel (looks like a walking stick figure with no arms), hay (looks like a 3-sided box), and shin (the other one, with 3 fingers sticking up). It’s an acronym for Nes Gadol Haya Sham (a great miracle happened there). In Israel they have a pay, rather than a shin, for Po (a great miracle happened HERE).

Uhhhhh I have terrible luck with these things so I won’t try…if they offered more than 5 snowflake stockings I would probably do it ONCE because
I ONLY LACK 15 SNOWFLAKE STOCKINGS TO HAVE JEEEEESUS!!!!!! I am super excited to have him in my grasp! Also just hit cheer level 9! Full disclosure I made two purchases in order to make myself get farther faster- I bought John and the building that drops the snowflake stockings. But, like u guys keep telling everyone, it’s mostly because I’m in the game a zillion times a day and have timers/alarms set.

These boxes for clams are the biggest rip off in mobile gaming I have ever seen. I also spent money to obtain a specific item only available in the clam box a few events ago and burned about $75 and never go the item I wanted. I suggest staying away from these evil boxes. Saddens me that the return of these boxes every event that it appears people must be buying them still.

Was wondering if you might do an update as to which characters have relevant Christmas tasks. I keep everyone who isn’t ‘donating to the cause ‘ in storage for the time being. Also which episode did that yeti come from anyway?

No thanks. The only things that would be worth it to me would be the Gingerbread Mansion and the clams. For 75 clams a pop, those aren’t good enough odds, and the mansion is less of a good deal the closer we get to the end, since it will obviously go back to dropping cash and (useless) xp once the Christmas event is over.

As much as I want the castle I cant open the box because I have this problem where I cant open just one and stop. At halloween I got into both boxes and hundreds of clams were lost because I am a mystery boxaholic I guess.

This thing was a complete ripoff after a few items, it was all stockings and cookies. 600 clams and all I got were a few crappy decorations. Buyer Beware- complete ripoff. No chance of clams. No chance of nice buildings or characters. It’s not worth it, at all.

I simply turned on my game and a pop up came up that I accidently tapped on and I bought a silver gift box. Why was I not asked if I was sure I wanted to spend 75 clams? It should not have been that easy for you to take 75 clams from me! I feel like you stole my 75 clams and I want them back!

I am a Freemium player with like 20 clams and its going to be harder for me to get Jesus considering I only got 3000 cookies and 5 snowflakes. How do I unlock Jesus in the amount of time given on this event because it will be hard.

Amount of time? This event still has lots of time left. More and more opportunities to get Cookies will continue to arrive each week. Same as every other event. It will all depend on how YOU play the game on how the results will be. But it really is obtainable with steady game play. 😉

I don’t feel the problem with getting Jesus is the Cookies. Its the100 Snowflakes. Being a freemium player the only way to get Snowflakes is through beating the Yeti. I haven’t even started focusing on this task, since I’m still getting everything in the Snowflake Box. I still need the Death Roe building.
The only way to make it reasonable is for TinyCo have characters have tasks and non-pay buildings appear next week that drop Snowflakes.
One thing that really annoys me is the Yeti’s down time of 4 hours. That time is ridiculous! It should be no more than 2 hours.

I get that is seems impossible right now, but honestly…I see it every single event. And every single event MORE is released to help. Jesus is NOT meant to have this second. Much like Mr Weed or Takei, he is the FINAL prize in your goals. 😉

Work on getting Hanukkah Mort (I don’t have him either yet), then spam the Yeti with him and Lois. There’s bound to be another Yeti slayer or two entering the game, since the Childish Yeti isn’t exactly easy to get even with Lois and John, and we’ve got two more Yetis coming, so add them to the mix when they appear. Every Childish Yeti is 10% of the way to Jesus. Later Yetis will be worth even more. The cookies will take care of themselves, as long as you don’t spend them on decos. Keep your characters busy earning cookies (those who can), and make a lot of Secret Santa gifts, since those pay twice (once for the task, again when dropped). I’ve got over 10k cookies, and I haven’t even really been trying.

I mentioned in another post, that it may be worth it to buy (for cookies) Nakatomi Tower and Quagmires cabin as soon as possible, even if not buying John for clams. Put your cookies to work earning interest! Those two buildings spit out cookies, and if you buy them early enough, they will more than pay for themselves before the event end.

Looks like they dropped a mini-update on us. A couple new tasks and the dreidel is animated now. I’m sure there’s other stuff but that’s all I noticed 🙂

On my first try I got the Ye New Christmas Shoppe, then I waited a fre days and tried again. This time it was the Gingerbread Mansion!!! Great use of clams as the pay out is way better then the Gingerbread house for 600 clams. Of course I had to try again. Cookies, then the Big Ol’ Nutcracker. Tried one more time for the Castle but got the Fluffy Snow Globe.Think I will wait for a few days and try again.

I let myself do it once and got the ice castle. I was of course hoping for the gingerbread mansion, but besides that or clams this was the best outcome in my opinion. I figured I would get some of the stockings and be very angry with myself haha so I’m pretty pleased. I love Frozen. Although I don’t know that I would have bought it if it was just sitting in the store unwrapped for 75 clams.

I got all the prizes out of this, even got quite a few clams back too, I got the Gingerbread Mansion on my second attempt as well, thanks to which I’m now at MAX Cheer Level (level 10), so all in all I’m very happy with what I got out of this one. Now I’m just working on Jesus, I have 42 Snowflakes and 52,237 Christmas Cookies.

I started with 892 clams, won 150 clams, then cookies, then dolls, then the snowglobe, the Christmas shoppe, 100 clams, the dreidel, ice castle, nutcracker. All I had left was the mansion. Kept buying…cookies, cookies, cookies until I had 62 clams. So that was a huge waste of over 800 clams plus the ones I won from the box. I feel like an idiot lol so much for my stockpile of clams 😦

I was hoping it would be like the Thanksgiving mystery gift where you could exhaust all the gift options. Those stocking packages are not worth 75 clams at ALL and I got them way too many times in a row.

I was able to purchase this one before my game went all haywire.I got the nutcracker. I was banking on a building , but no dice.

I just started playing just before the Christmas event, so there’s lots more to do with the main story. It’s just a bummer that ive spent quite a bit of Google Play credit already

I’m having a hard time willing to “shell” out some clams for the premium items for this event. The reason being is that I just don’t have the land. I know TinyCo very recently added a whole area of land but I am still having to shelve money making buildings due to lack of room. I’ve already placed most of the American Dad items in inventory, as well as the purely aesthetic items and buildings. It’s unfortunate, but I’m not sure what else to do. It just doesn’t make sense for me to spend money on buildings (or gift boxes that potentially yield buildings) that I don’t have room for. 😦

Okay, I really need help!
I haven’t been able to do anything in my game for a week now, and I’m at my wits end – I’ve waited months for the Xmas fun to begin, and sunk a lot of clams into this event, but my game crashes every time I open it, usually anywhere between 20 seconds and a minute after launching. The load screen goes through fine, but as soon as I’m in Quahog and begining to do things – crash! Argh!
Am I doing something wrong/need to be doing something specific to fix or avoid this?

My game did the exact same thing after they updated for phase 2 of Xmas event. I couldn’t even contact them thru my game page because it would constantly crash by the time I got to that point. So what I did was as soon as the game loaded I took a screen shot of my game just to have record of all my stuff( clams,$, etc). Then I deleted the app from my phone(iPhone), waited 5 min, went back to App Store and reinstalled it. Once I signed back in it worked properly. Hope this helps. If not hope u find a cure soon!! 😉

^^ Seconded. I really want the Ice Castle, but the odds of getting stockings has kept me from gambling clams on this. I already have 150+ of the candy cane stocking and around 50 doll stockings, and 5 blue stockings for Jesus doesn’t seem like a good value for the clams.

Same here. Every time I look at that castle I itch to buy the gift box, but then I look at the cost of clams and chance of getting materials and it turns me right off. =/
