When I was young my mom set up a scavenger hunt with pieces of paper to find. After I found them all and put the pieces together it was a letter telling me we were going on a Disney cruise vacation. It was pretty cool.

I remember getting a lot of great gifts, but my favorite was probably the year my parents got a Nintendo 64 for me and my brother. Not only was it something we really wanted, but they surprised us with it in a great way. We opened all our gifts Christmas morning and went to my aunt and uncle’s for lunch. When we came back, there was another present with a note from Santa, saying he forgot to drop this one off. The 64 was a great system anyway, but that surprise will always be a fond memory.

anything that was dinosaur related. i got obsessed with dinosaurs around 4-5 y.o., and the best gift i could get was related to dinos: books, bed sheets, a wallpaper for my room. the best of this theme was when the dino ryder toy line came out. i still have a few!

I think my favorite gift as a kid is when I got my Playstation. My mother put it in a VCR box and handed it to me. I was so confused and heartbroken. But when I opened the box and saw the Playstation I was sooooo friggin happy lol.

When I was very young I got a stuffed Alf snuggle toy. I loved that toy, even though it scared the ceap out of me at night. 😛

Best gift i ever asked santa for, was my easy bake oven! I melted it all over the table. Ahh good times, good times.

as a pen nerd (an affliction probably starting at birth), my most-favorite christmas gift was a bouquet of pens my brother made for me. to this day when i get flowers, i half-wish they’d be an assortment of pens. and yes, i have the best brother ever. please don’t tell him i typed that.

This may seem a little silly, but the best gift I received as a child was an Easy Bake Oven. I had to plead with my parents to get it for me because they didn’t think it was the most appropriate gift for a little boy. The eventually gave in, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled baking cakes under a light bulb. I’m now a pretty good cook, and I believe the Easy Bake Oven started it all!

When I was a child, my favorite gift was actually a Backstreet Boys cd (their debut album)… I was about 5 years old, and I don’t remember asking for anything else that year lol… My parents wrapped a pair of jeans around the cd case so I wouldn’t be able to guess what the gift was early, and I was literally so stunned and excited to see that cd fall out of what I thought was “just clothes…” ;P

So glad I found this site, would have self sabotaged my chances of all the timed quests otherwise! So glad we got a reindeer and the rabid one is even better! Looking forward to Easter now, bunnies, eggs, chicks, spring flowers- my favourite things! Maybe they could design a ‘bunny’ bunny that looks like bunny. Alissa could be a chick. My favorite gift as a child was a bass guitar. I wanted it…BAD! I came home from school one day and saw a tall present leaning next to the Christmas tree, about the size of a bass guitar case. I tried lifting it up when no one was around. It was the right weight! I was SO excited.
On Christmas morning, I woke everyone up and ran to open my present. Ripped off the wrapping. The box was definitely made to hold a guitar! I was so happy, I thought I’d explode with joy. I opened the box and saw…a BRICK!
The joy exited me like a deflating balloon. Was I bad this year? Before I got too bummed, my mom comes around the corner carrying my bass guitar!
Gotta love my mom. Pranked me on Christmas. I’ll never forget it. She even got a picture of my confused look as I opened the present. I’ve received a lot of presents over the years, but I’ll NEVER forget that one. That’s why it’s my favorite.

For Christmas it would have to be the Millennium Falcon. I had too much fun with that ship with my action figures.
Second place would be the Death Star play set. I had too much fun crushing figures in the trash compactor.

My favorite gift as a child was a 130 in 1 science circuit board kit. It was awesome. I built radios, microphones, lights. Learns all about circuitry and components including resistors, capacitors, transformers, etc… My wife found out about it and for xmas this year she bought me “elenco 175 project snap circuit kit”. I am 37 years old but the Box says ages 8-108 :-). I’m know teaching my older daughter( 7 yrs old) all about circuits.

My favorite gift was an N64 console. My folks tricked me by having me open the games first and I thought that I would have to return or exchange them. Then they hit me with my last gift and it all made sense. I think the surprise of it all made it even more awesome.

My favorite gift growing up was a stuffed bunny my mom gave me. It was so soft and cuddly =) he was my best friend! I think I was about 5 when I got him and I still have him til today! His name (obviously) is Mr. Bunny haha. I got Mr. Bunny from my mother, who is no longer with us, which is why he is my favorite gift, not only growing up, but if all time. =)

My favorite gift as a kid was a keyboard that helped you learn to play songs by lighting up each key when it needed to be pressed. It was pretty cool!

The first Christmas that I had with my new stepbrother, he got a package from his grandma with some Superfriends action figures. As soon as he saw the Wonder Woman figure he looked over at me and said “Merry Christmas” as he handed her to me. I am a huge Wonder fan and that was my very first Wonder Woman figure. I was so touched I started crying tears of happiness. I held onto that toy well into my high school years. That was almost 25 years ago but it still makes me smile when I think of how that first gift I got from my little brother made me so happy. 🙂

Well, being a young child of the 70’s – it had to be my Star Wars figures – since the first two movies came out when I was 3 and 6 – so the figures were more when I was 6. And I found the box of figures under the stairs as an adult – and I was able to share my favorite toys with my own son.

Well back i was still very young i ripped open this funny shaped box to reveal a PlayStation 2 controller. Only problem was, i didn’t have a PlayStation 2. So after a few minutes of disappointment and wondering why Santa would give me this almost useless gift, i went to check out the front of the house and to my surprise there was another box with a PlayStation 2 inside sitting next to our ‘Santa stop here’ sign. It was by far the most surprised i have ever been at Christmas and is my favourite christmas gift.

Fo Channukah one year as a child I got the Ecto-2. My Dad was filming it and he had to stop so he could get me scissors so I could open it because I would not put it down or stop tearing at it until I had it open 😀

The best Christmas gift I ever got was a lightsaber, circa 1980. It was just after Empire came out. The second I got it, I dropped all of my other presents and took it into my room. I turned the lights off and turned my new blue lightsaber on. It was so cool! Hearing that hiss of activation and the hum when I twirled it around. I broke it shortly after, but I still remember it after thirty years.
I hope Star Wars finds its way into the game before next year is over.

My first record player…I got to listen to the Chipmunks and Oliver & Co. Soundtrack! I felt so grown up. It’s what made me get into music and start playing in the band.

My favorite gift when I was a child was a gameboy color (in my favorite color, of course). I used to play that thing for hours. I still have it, and all of my games from it. I even have the light that plugged into it to make the screen more visible.

My favorite gift was when I got my very own phone number when I was 10. It had to have been the smallest gift under the tree. I was so disappointed when i saw that tiny little box, but when I opened it the surprise I had, just a tiny little piece of paper with a phone number on it with a little note reading your very own phone line. What 10 year old wouldn’t want that.

I remember that too! With cellphones now, kids don’t understand how cool it was to have that! I remember my Dad plugging a phone in the wall of my room thinking, what is he doing? Then he called my new number from the house phone and I flipped hearing his voice when I picked up the new phone!

My favorite gift when I was a child was my backpack doll. I had that doll for a long time. You could feed her and dress her. She would attach to a backpack and I could bring her everywhere (which I did) 🙂

I remember getting the Ghostbusters fire house when I was a kid. I had wanted it since forever. Christmas morning I ran down, ripped off the wrapping and there it was, all sealed in a box. I pulled all the bits out and figured instructions were for fools. I threw the outside walls together and it all clicked into place.
I then went to put the inside floors in and realised you should have done it before the walls. I tried everything to get them in but they just wouldn’t go. Devastated is not the word. Until my uncle walked past, looked at me, looked at my dilema and simply punched the floor piece, which clicked into place, and walked away…….best Christmas ever and my uncle is still a legend in my eyes to this very day ha ha
