  3. My favorite gift when I was a child was a train set. I was always fascinated by trains. My Mom worked very hard and saved all year long to get me a shiny train set that moved. It was an old school complete metal Amtrak Train set. She had the tracks, railroad crossings, lights, towns, mountains….the works. She had it fully set up with a bow attached to the train so when I woke up, I was able to operate the train with the switches that were on the huge remote control. I loved that train set and was so thankful she got it for me. It was my favorite gift of all time, from childhood to adulthood.

  7. One of the earliest Christmases I remember was getting a big box of army soldiers. My parents were very anti guns and anti war (excellent values btw) so they never let me play war games or even have a toy gun. I had a friend who had tons of toy soldiers we used to play with all the time , so when they finally broke down and got me my own I was ecstatic! and I didn’t turn out to be a war monger after all!

  16. My favorite gift when I was a child was my microscope kit I got one year. I really liked this gift because it gave me the ability to use the microscope to see all types of things up close and since I was a kid that meant bugs, dirt and sometimes even me and my friends blood.

My favorite gift I got when I was a child was the candy land game when I was 6. I use to see the commercials for this game all the time and asked my mom if I could write santa a letter to ask if he could put this present under the tree. When I did receive the game I was so excited to play it everyday. Now that I am so much older my mom bought the game for my kids for Christmas being that my oldest is now 6 and I have taught them how to play now which they love it. Now we play it everyday on Friday family game night with no TV on or electronics.
    Thanks!

Back in 96 or so. It’s crazy how kids go crazy over little things like that. Childhood is a wonderful thing with no cares in the world.

That dog lived for 14 years and was the best friend I ever had. No material gift could ever beat what I shared with that dog. Easily my favorite gift as a child.

It had all the cool things like the trees moving out of the way, the pool slid away, and it was just the coolest thing. Played with it for years!

My favorite Christmas gift from when I was younger was an under the sea type of Lego set. My parents work through the night to set it all up for the morning. It was a great surprise to have on Christmas.

  43. Nothing better than a good Christmas flashback:
My favorite christmas gift when I was a child was Magneto’s car. By that time “X-men” cartoons series was on the air and Magneto was my favorite character…. Unfortunetly Magneto’s figure and Magneto’s car were sold separately, so Santa only brought the car, and not the figure to put on to it…. I was unable to find a Magneto that could fit in the car either, so Batman had to drive it… The car was cool though…
That was the first time I realized that Santa was a real Joker.

  44. My parents divorced when I was 7 and the first Christmas after, my dad had absolutely no money but he managed to buy my sister and I a few gifts. He got me the cutest sweetest pair of teddy bear slippers. I LOVED teddy bears then so the slippers were the best gift I could have asked for. I wore them everywhere I could and almost never took them off until finally and sadly they were too worn out to wear any more but I still kept them. I wish I still had them but I’ve moved around so many times since then that they got lost. I know this is doesn’t seem as the happiest memory but it’s my favorite Christmas memory.
