Update: Guys…this is what I would call a time waster quest. It’s designed to pull you away from what you’re doing and give you “busy work”. It’s really not anything special. Just a few lines of dialogue and 2 tasks for characters. There’s no prize at the end. Honestly, if you pass on it you’re probably a smart one. You’re much better off having Peter continue to grind for Transporter energy than do a short questline that awards nothing at the end….just my own 2 cents. So don’t panic about it. And no, I don’t see a timer associated with it. So not sure if TinyCo will pull it after today or what the plan is.

There’s a special April Fools day questline hitting our games…Peter kicks things off!
You’ll need to have both Peter and Jerome free for the first part & Meg free for Part 2. A peak at what the questline holds below the fold…
Fool Me Once Pt 1
Peter starts
Have Peter and Jerome Do the Ethnic Handshake Prank- 1hr, Earns $20, 12xp
Completed Task Earns $250, 170xp
Fool Me Once Pt. 2
Peter starts
Have Meg Smell the Roses- 4hrs, Earns $50, 30xp
Completed Task Earns $375, 255xp
And that’s it! Just a short little questline remembering April Fools Day in Quahog.

I’m gonna try and lighten up the mood in here a little bit as I think I have found the prize! It struck me as a weird coincidence when I realized the icon for Fool Me Once was one of those clown horns we had to collect during the circus event a while back – and indeed, after finishing the quest and not giving another thought to it I found an additional grumpy clown roaming my Quahog! I say “additional” because I actually managed to keep some clowns around as moving deco but I definitely only had one of each before 😀
So I hope this is not just a glitch/limited to my device and some of you who wasted sooo much precious time can have a little laugh about it 😉

This was only a waste of time due to the opportunity cost of Peter being out of action for an hour, or if you think there should be rewards beyond playing the game.
Personally, I loved it. Lois’ comment to Meg at the end was priceless.

It is true that this quest line is a little bit disappointing.
On the other hand you will need Jerome, Peter and Meg to complete it. As far as I can see (correct me if I am wrong!) Jerome and Meg are pretty much useless at the moment in the StarTrek-event. So in the end you lose only one hour with Peter for the main event.
I think this is fair in regard to the long lasting event. Still much time left, even if you lose one hour with Peter,…

Ok, so I am not the only one experiencing crashes ALL THE TIME. I have contacted support. No reply yet but I just reported it yesterday. NOW, for me, it happens when I hover over the Tom Tucker district. IT CRASHES EVERY TIME. Is anyone else having a similar problem? Very curious. I’m not sure if its the West building or the Channel 5 building. Or the Vinnie building. Both Tom Tucker and Adam West are NOT freed yet, I am still trying to open them. I have gotten rid of ALL non-essential animated or not stuff, just the things that pay out stay.

BTW, I CAN play if I DO NOT HOVER OVER THE TOM TUCKER DISTRICT. No problem. BUT, once I get over that district, CRASH. HAs got to be a glitch.

anything from tinyco re the glitch where everytime you go near the tv station the game closes. have tried everything suggested, contacted tinyco through the game and email and still nothing. on andriod been happening since new update. almost a whole day. and seeing as im trying to unlock tom tucker its kinda hard not to go near the tv station.

Would you happen to know if there’s anything planned for Easter since we had Halloween, Christmas & Valentine’s Day before, it would feel unusual as to not have Easter included as well?

With Star Trek I think Easter will be skipped. I mean they skipped St. Patrick’s day because of it…and to me that’s a bigger deal in Quahog than Easter.

Apparently a lot of us are experiencing crashes in the game, and it seems to have something to do with the recent update because none of the suggested fixes for slow/crashing game work.
For me, it appears to have something to do with Chris and a bug involving the Griffin house, so I was wondering about the other people. Anybody else want to share their experiences?
1) Are you experiencing frequent crashes yourself?
2) Have you unlocked Klingon Chris?
3) Have you seen phantom animations of characters that shouldn’t be there? (i.e. Chris jumping up and down outside the Griffin house while in actuality Klingon Chris is busy on the Enterprise)
I can’t say for certain, but attempts to figure out how to get the game to stay on long enough to play lead me to believe these may be related. The game crashes on me when I interact with the Griffin house (which unfortunately includes starting the game and returning from the Enterprise, since it defaults to zooming in there). But if I am quick enough to move away I can do stuff (I isolated the house in its own lonely corner of my map). It also immediately crashed during a time in which Chris was not doing anything on the Enterprise and I clicked on his face in Quahog.

Im on tablet and my app has never crashed until today I did the last time travel and with stewie talking money being colected and trisha dancing after the task and the last plutonium it just imploded
I’m not complaining tho because it was my own fault I just whant to share my first crash with you all 😋

I think the biggest April fools on me were the new pop ups explaining how easier it is to get transport energy and chocolate, then Peter and Mort finished their task and dropped none. My 2 rooms dropped none and Geordie and Chris came back from a trip with no chocolate. Well played. I will succeed though.

thanks for the help but still into day 2 now and it wont load at all, crashes at startup, uninstalled and reinstalled went through tutorial and started game again then crashed and now wont load again. not sure what else to do but its aggravating since I have spent so much money on the game and now its 2 days that i am behind everything after spending money on it. No response at all from Tinyco after numerous emails.

Having the same issues and none of the fixes work at all. Even uninstall and reinstall did nothing. Game just closes as soon as the loading bar completes. 😦

Same here. For me, its when I hover over the Tom Tucker district. CRASHES EVERY TIME. There is something about that area! I have contacted support about it. No reply yet.

Actually the quest ended for me with 25 transporter gems and unlucked Mr Sulu. You have to gather a few items for him but not near as many as the others. Only have two fencing swords left to completely unlock him. Again have to thank Tiny Co for a good job with this new character.

My game keeps crashing. I haven’t updated but I keep getting the family guy has stopped message. I’ve reported it twice. Do you have any suggestions? I’ve restarted my tablet nothing has changed.

Can somebody explain how sending away Peter on a one hour task is a time waster?
I mean, I understand if it was an eight hour task, but only one hour?

It’s up to you to decide whether or not it is a time waster. You can take a positive attitude and use one hour from Peter, knowing that you have a lot of time left in the event. If you don’t only care about a payoff and also enjoy the work of the game writers, you can relax and have a laugh.
Or, you can take a negative attitude and think you are smarter for not doing it.
If you enjoy reading the dialogue durings quests, then one hour is not much from Peter, especially if Jerome and Meg aren’t doing anything crucial. As Bunny said, you don’t have to do it. It’s an option.

Not sure if this is posted anywhere else. But did anyone else notice that on the Star Trek character’s FaceSpace page, there is a darkened out picture of Guinan? I noticed it when I unlocked Deanna Troi and went to her page. I checked the others, Geordi, Worf, and Riker, and they all have it.
I am super excited to think she may be a character coming up!

I was thinking that it’d be a waste of time since… it’s April fools day. The joke here being that if people devolved from the event and spent time on the short quest, they might receive some incredible thing, which turns out to be just a time-wasting prank; while fun, Peter is more necessary in the pursuit of the Transporter energy balls.

I was stupid enough to do part one. But now the game just crashes every time I try to load it. This is stupid. I have wasted so much money on this game, and I was already seriously considering not playing it anymore. This seals the deal. I have uninstalled and reloaded countless times while playing though the stupid tutorial to be able to log in with Facebook. But still it crashes. I beyond annoyed

My game lags/crashes/freezes on a pretty regular basis. I’m routinely forced to closing/restarting 3-4x every time I load the game and then once more after sending about a 1/3 to 1/2 of my 35 characters to task. One final forced crash to put the rest of them on task and then it’s wash. Rinse. Repeat. Every 4-6 hours.
Like I said. I’m used to it. But all of a sudden with this april fools update for some reason I had to force close approximately 15 times in 25 minutes just to collect my previous task completion rewards, observe the april fools dialogue(s), beam to enterprise and back, and send everyone back to task. Good lord, a 2 person task for april fools caused this much stress on my poor device that I’m begging tinyco to pull anything planned for easter! Wow.

There are multiples of the items. So until you get all those multiples, the items you need for them will keep dropping.

It would have been nice if they had provided a way to say over and out after having at least crafted one item of each instead of forcing everyone to collect stuff for all undesired stuff in order to just have the Chumbawambas stop roaming Quahog.

I’ve been on that since that district became available & still don’t have everything… Plus, in-game you gain nothing from it.
They need to take that out, rather sooner then later.

Went ahead and did the quest. Figured Peter could take an hour break from pulling on his suit since he’s not producing transporter energy for me. Just sent Meg (who so far serves no purpose in this event) off to smell the roses. Meanwhile Peter is back tugging on his leotard…

Hi, Bunny! This is a bit off topic but I just wanna ask why I have Bitch Stewie permanently in my Quahog? I never unlocked him. Everytime I’m on ‘edit’ mode, as in moving decors and buildings, he disappears and when I’m done editing, he’s in the exact same place. Everytime I click on him, he says a few lines though. This happened when I placed the bitch stewie machine shortly after the mini event ended to earn coins. I’ve had it for a while then decided to rearrange my town. To my surprise, Bitch Stewie appeared and has been in the exact same place where the machine was. And to this day, no matter how much I rearrange my Quahog, Bitch Stewie is there and I couldn’t get rid of him. He’s definitely acting like a b*tch.

I actually liked this little mini quest even though it didn’t reward us with anything. It did reward me with a nice laugh because of the amusing dialogue. 🙂

Every time i pan by the ch5 building (mines in the original spot) the game crashes. Only happened after todays update (android). Even if im zoomed in, if i get to that certain spot it blinks and dims and im zoomed all the way outwhile the dreaded words”family guy has stopped working”. The only reason i posted in this section i cause it happened after todays update. Am i the only one? I hope so for everybody else’s sake.

Getting the same thing, I’m still working on unlocking Tom Tucker and as soon as I go to the character the game crashes. It happens if I just scroll the map to Tom or opening his quest.
