Update: Guys…this is what I would call a time waster quest. It’s designed to pull you away from what you’re doing and give you “busy work”. It’s really not anything special. Just a few lines of dialogue and 2 tasks for characters. There’s no prize at the end. Honestly, if you pass on it you’re probably a smart one. You’re much better off having Peter continue to grind for Transporter energy than do a short questline that awards nothing at the end….just my own 2 cents. So don’t panic about it. And no, I don’t see a timer associated with it. So not sure if TinyCo will pull it after today or what the plan is.

There’s a special April Fools day questline hitting our games…Peter kicks things off!
You’ll need to have both Peter and Jerome free for the first part & Meg free for Part 2. A peak at what the questline holds below the fold…
Fool Me Once Pt 1
Peter starts
Have Peter and Jerome Do the Ethnic Handshake Prank- 1hr, Earns $20, 12xp
Completed Task Earns $250, 170xp
Fool Me Once Pt. 2
Peter starts
Have Meg Smell the Roses- 4hrs, Earns $50, 30xp
Completed Task Earns $375, 255xp
And that’s it! Just a short little questline remembering April Fools Day in Quahog.

✨I already had Peter doing a task I believe when this questline popped up so if they DO end up taking it out at the end of today, not gonna worry about if there is definitely NO prize at thee end. Was hoping this was in regards to Kirk… rewards are showing as percentages of loot needed for him.
At 45 Life Support and 33 Transporter Energy, they are showing as less than 50% and about 66% respectively.
Thus I am guessing from those numbers it will cost 100 Life Support and 50 Transporter Energy (plus whatever else) to unlock Kirk.
As I mentioned, was HOPING this was the April Fools joke. *Sighs*

My game started screwing up this afternoon when they added the task. The game keeps doing a “Unfortunately, Family Guy has stopped” error when loading. When I can manage to get it to load it freezes up in Quahog. However, if I am quick enough I can click the Enterprise button, and it doesn’t freeze up on me there. But I cannot do any tasks that require me to use the main town.

I just had an additional thought… it is April Fools Day, maybe some programmer thought it would be a hilarious joke to make the game crash on purpose. If so, we are not amused.

I may have identified the issue. The other day when I unlocked Klingon Chris I noticed that when I went back to Quahog there was a regular Chris jumping up and down in front of the Griffin house. It is just an animation, you cannot click it and the real one is busy doing tasks on the Enterprise. I messaged TinyCo about it.
Today when the game updated to add the new quest it started having issues. With some difficulty (and a lot or restarts) I managed to get it to stay on long enough to move the camera and zoom in so that I was looking at a relatively unoccupied space. Doing that I was able to tell people to do things.
But what I noticed was that every time the camera moved over towards the phantom Chris the game would crash again. So likely this bug is what is causing the game to crash.

Is anyone else Rec rooms taking 6 hours to build? I switched my rec rooms at the same time as my Crew Quarters. The Crew quarters are ready to switch to but Rec rooms still need an additional 4 hours and 11 min, the other 4 hour and 10 min. I’m waiting for those energy balls. Also just notice my energy resource page is blank. Just all blue. I have characters trying to get the last chocolate bar for Deanna and if this was not successful wanted another set of ball lined up.
Anyone else with this issue???
Not a good April Fools joke if that’s what it could be. Or a get back for swapping.

Prank handshaking as we speak. Meanwhile, Consuela is still making a snack while tea sipping Buzz is chuckling at Brian doing the scoot. Cheryl poses for the camera, near some fat kid hula hooping; Connie is seriously on a toad binge lately, and Freddy and Jason are still messing around with each other in the tool shed. Jesus is, sadly, not very successful at what he does all day long despite Francis constantly praying to St. Fonzy. Jillian is getting her fingers stuck at Anal Point, again . Nobody who focuses that much on their auto-biography is that interesting, Mr. Weed, and, Nathan? Could you please go hose yourself off again? Will there be more Firefly? Will there? Ever? A movie? No? Patrick Stewart is having an identity crisis and has emerged from his long hibernation of sleepovers to pursue being a thespian again, ever since this Star Trek event started. (I think he believes he’s gonna get a call back or something.)

April Fools indeed… now I can’t even play the game. Whenever I open the game, as soon as I try to navigate quahog, collect rent, tap a finished task or anything else, the game shut down. Just brilliant!.

Hm… seems the game doesnt crash if I quickly navigate to the Enterprise as soon as the game opens. Then it doenst crash. Well not until I try to go back to quahog. I think it might be because I have Peter stuck on an away mission (the 5 clam one), and I guess he then cant trigger the April Foolds thing in Quahog. Me thinks :-S

These things suck when they are timed. I had Jerome and Meg on 24-hour tasks since they were taking up valuable sorting space in the list of residents. I paid clams to break Jerome out. What a waste.

Saw the questline pop up however Peter is busy searching a planet for ruddy chocolate lol. May give him a break when he returns and he can go shake hands with Jerome, who has been collecting baseball bats for me for a Brian outfit. Yes, I am relatively new to this addictive and frustrating app 😀
