Star Trek has arrived in Quahog! And with this fifth phase you’ll unlock Data, Picard, Talosian Stewie & try not to throw your phone across the room as you blow stuff up!
During Phase 5 several questlines will popup in order to help you understand the event ahead, and prepare our Tiny Quahogs for travel to the Enterprise! Working your way through these questlines will help you earn more Dilithium Crystals and XP to help you better move through the event, and buy Enterprise items!

I’m not sure what’s going on, but I just cannot seem to get in a good position for the final week of the event. I’ve got Stewie (positive), so I’d be in good position for Picard except I’m 3000 crystals short. I’ve been on the cusp of Starfleet Level 9 for almost 24 hours now, but nothing I do seems to be pushing me into Level 9, let alone Level 10 by Thursday. I still need 13 antivirus software for Data, but even if I get thos miraculously quickly, I don’t think I’d have enough crystals for Picard and Data – and I think I care more about Picard. Plus, I’ve just barely been gathering items in time to unlock characters and outfits, so I have, like, a dozen questlines sitting around gathering dust. At this point, I’m most worried about EXP. I think the crystal payouts for Bertram will help get to Kirk, but I won’t be able to take advantage of that if I can’t get to Level 10.

Yay – Unlocked talosian stewie today… and then Data a few hours later! Have even been able to make some progress on some side quests. Good day! Still no Herbert tho!

Thx for your hard work. Following you guys. Though, this is my first post here.
I’m currently in the process of unlocking Data (3 cat foord and 6 antirvirus left). I got Talosian Stewie and will have Picard in a few hours. I’m at systeme failure part 6 (will continue once I have the dark mater after unlocking Picard). I’ve completed like 90% of the “subquests” and have bought all items in the replicator (except guardian of forever).
My main concern is actually my XP level. I’m almost level 9. Will not be able to make it to level 10 in 2 days. Except if you’ve got good tips for me to reach it. I’m playing since the beginning of the event and always sending characters on task.
Mainly, what should be the way to get more xp easier ?

If you have the extra items, you can buy more items from places like the Replicator to give you a boost. For instance the Casket Launcher is 800XP upon creation. So you can weigh the items in there and determine which one will give you the best XP and what YOU want in your game.

I was having the same problem, almost at level 9 with 2 days 2 go, then somebody on the dilithium thread pointed out u could create multiple ale bars in the replicator without using crystals (if u have a stash of the first 3 energies saved) to gain some extra dithlium…….
But the ale bats also give out 400xp a tim!!! I was up to level 10 in seconds lol

Ok. Got Data four hours ago and didn’t use any clams on him at all. So now just working on questlines and unlocking Kirk. Can’t wait to see what else Phase 6 will give us besides Borg Consuela, Scotty and Khan. I really don’t understand why they put Khan in the originals instead of Sulu or McCoy. It wouldn’t have been too hard to do Sulu but I digress.

This will probably be the first event I don’t get everything. Still working on Beverly and quagmire. Barely going to get stewie. Data, kirk, and picard… no chance at this rate. I’m like two weeks behind and I play every 2 to 4 hrs.

No chance for me either, but then I haven’t spent a dime. Zero chance at Stewie or Data. If I’m really lucky I’ll get Beverly; Locutus unlikely as well. At least I’m not alone in the dust!

Someone mentioned a technique for clearing the drop rate algorithm? I am curious as to what that is as I haven’t recieved any suntan lotion in the last 8 attempts. Could someone clue me in?

Send the character on a short task. Like 1 hr. Once you’re sure they’re on it, restart your device. Once they’re done… try the Material Drop one again.

Failed to drop the last suntan lotion for 8th time in a row. There goes my chance of getting him before the update! Was suntan lotion super rare? Haha, and the various beauty and even tanning salon don’t have any for sale? Suntan lotion is the new gold, gold I tellza ya. Gonna be rich if I can find the right stream. Ye haw!!

…so Warp Core 5 has felt far less stressful than #4 did. But I’m still not on pace to finish it in time.

I’ve crafted everything other than Captain Kirk.
And I’m on System Failure Pt. 7 — unwilling to send Riker on a 24 hour task thanks to Cat food needs.
I could build two more Borg cubes…but I’m nervous about spending the crystals right now. I’ve been doing okay with them, but just barely.
Only clams spent this event have been on Characters, as is the normal for me.

Yeah, I understand the availability. Again — I feel like I’m doing okay, I just don’t think I can throw 1,000+ into a pit and hope I don’t need them later. I already have “a” Borg Cube. I didn’t hesitate to craft it…
But I mean, lets say I build 3 more cubes. If I end up with all the other parts of Data, and I’m short crystals, I haven’t actually improved my situation.
And figuring out the math for THAT is far more troubling.

I unlocked the holodeck a few days ago now, but the questline: system failure hasn’t popped up yet. So I don’t know how thats possible?

To help players gain access to next levels… this event you mainly just needed XP to go on. Questlines however are still required to complete to move forward to the next set of Main questlines for the next Phase. So go back to Phase 4 and see what you still have pending holding it up.

Is there any reason to bother with the Vulcan High Command or Guardian of Forever? I didn’t build the High Command but noticed that the next questline opened up for me anyway. It’s not a good use of crystals – I’d rather replicate other items which give me better XP.

It is up to you. If you feel the pay back will not be worth it. Just keep in mind, the MAIN questline runs you through to the next item releases. We won’t know just yet if it will be required for Phase 6.

Well, it costs 1,000 to build – if I carefully time things I can get 30 crystals per day, and there’s only 10 days left in the event, so that only gets me 300 crystals back (and I’m including the day it takes to build it). I think my 4th grade math teacher would be very proud of me!

guardian of forever is needed for the main questline…but u can do what i did and just wait til they ask you before buying it. might give you a chance to save up on stuff needed for it if you’re still a ways before that point.

Just a point for people worrying about dithlium crystals, the last 2 items in the replicator pay out 100 crystals each every 2 hours
So that’s 200 every 2 hrs, add sending star fleet Lois on her 50 crystal an hr task that’s 300 crystals every 2 hrs just from them characters/ items
Along with everything else earning crystals and hopefully being able 2 beat bertram, should definitely b do-able, hang in there peoplel!!

And you know those payouts how? As they are not live, there is no way for you or anyone else to guarantee that will be the drop. Look at Kirk, he showed a “payout” amount in the Replicator making people think he was a decoration. Definitely not the case. Don’t let “placeholders” mislead your judgment or other players. 😉

Bunny I think I know this because when you click on the little i on picards fencing arena n whatever the other 1 is, it says 100 crystals every 2hrs n it also tells u the xp payout
I mean it clearly states it in text form lol if that turns out 2 not be the payout then what’s the point of clearly stating it 😉

As I say… it did the same with Kirk. Showed a Dilithium and XP hourly payout… making it appear he was a Building. So… it was just placeholder as he is obviously NOT a building. From the time this game launched it has had “placeholders”. A way to hold a spot for info to be added later. We have seen it with Characters (one building behind them to hold the place until the actual building is there), we have seen it with Buildings, we have seen it in FaceSpace. Things can and will change. A Placeholder does not a confirmation make. Sorry. 😉

It’s not a lie. Sorry you feel that way. It’s coding. Slap a generic piece of info in there to hold a place. I don’t know if there’s a better way to do it. I’m used to it by now. It’s why it’s all over our site about “spoilers”. Who knows. It may be right. But again, til it’s released everything is speculation. Patience is key. Don’t execute the prisoner before the trial has begun. 😉

I’m also in the situation of missing anti virus software for Data. I unlocked this update as soon as it was available and have hard Herbert doing his 2 hour task constantly as well as Crusher when she wasn’t rescuing red shirts for questlines and Peter doing his 2 hour task about half the time and I still only have 8.
I have every other item for Data already as well as every item for Stewie which I didn’t even try to get especially as I don’t have normal Stewie so the skin is useless for me.
I’m also concerned about dilithium – just managed to eke out enough to get Picard to help with Bertram (I now have 100 dilithium in the bank) – I can’t see how I am going to get enough to unlock Picard (even with Lois doing her 1 hour 50 payout task) and we still have next week and a buch of new rooms, characters and I assume replicator items.
They need to up the payouts on buildings and rooms. Having a room this late in the event – the sonic shower – that pays 1 and 1 every 2 hours is not very good. I also doubt the Vulcan high command building which cost 1000 will every actually pay back its cost before the event is out (pays 10 every 8 hours, so needs 80 cycles to break even).
I hope they do something with drop rates for this phase like in the previous weeks – they seem to have sorted out the starfleet xp curve as I am nearly at 10 already without even trying.
Would be good if there was a way to convert some of the other energies (transporter, replicator etc) into cash – I have an abundance of everything but the green cubes.

Funny I am in the same place for data. I have run the 2 hr job non stop with all characters and still have less than half yet have almost everything else. Bit of a concern.

As a Freemium player I have finally given up on attempts to complete everything in the time given for this event and now have just two goals.
1. Unlock data and add to collection for fifty bonus clams
2. Get Talosian Stewie outfit for the twenty five clam bonus. (I don’t have Stewie in the main game yet so he will be useless in my fight against Bertram.
No way I can get enough dilithium to obtain any other characters, or even the dark crystals.
Slightly disappointed, however, I am still just sane enough to realise that this is a ‘choices’ app and game.
Your choice whether you spend an hour a day or twenty four hours a day on it.
Your choice if you spend real money on it.
You set your own goals within the game.
Aside of the two goals above, the rest of my focus is now on Quahog and opening characters and districts there. I didn’t start until late Feb 2015 though.
Those that started a lot earlier may have nothing more to achieve yet in the main game and rely on these events to keep FGTQFS alive.

So…am I reading the above correctly? Once you unlock Data, you can upgrade to Warp Core 6? Of course, I’ve already unlocked Talosian Stewie, but I still need 11 Anti-Virus Software and 4 Cat Food, so that’s kind of a moot question, but still curious.

I have a question. Since updating to warpcore 5 I have trouble getting crystals. the fluffy beasts dont appear that frequent anymore.
Also wondering why I keep getting stuf for stewie like the jaquets and the pots of cream (?) when I already have all I need. Hardly getting any seringes for Crusher anymore. Is anyone else having the same issues?

So, I noticed something weird on Data. I’m 4 anti-virus, 6 cat food, and around 1700 dilithium away from unlocking him. Just for fun, I click on the golden padlock to see how much it would be to unlock him now, and it says 320.
However, the anti-virus and cat goods are 6 each, which would be 60 total (24 to get 4 Anti-Virus and 36 to get 6 cat foods), and if I wanted to buy out on dilithium, it’s 85 clams, so a total of 145 which is a huge difference from 320.
Is that partly because if I used the golden padlock it would just treat it as buying 4000 crystals? Because that still seems off as it looks like 4000 crystals would be 200 clams, so it should be 260 to unlock him.
This is all academic as I have no intention to rush him out, just bored as my Bertram team does their thing.

I had no intention of rushing him either but thought I’d check it out too….I’ve collected all 50 floppy disk things & payed out the crystals….I am waiting on 14 anti virus & 13 cat food to unlock him … My golden lock is offering me 373 clams to finish him off 😝

Yeah, this seems to be a thing. I need 6 Anti-Virus software and 1 cat food. So 42 clams to buy these items. When I click the golden lock, it comes up as 132 clams.

There are bugs with the Stewie costume. The rare sunscreen item is not dropping even though I have been sending the characters to task for the last 3 days. Also, the first two items keep falling even after getting the required number of items. I am using Android.

First of.. Loving this event! Second, is anyone else feelings like they cant earn enough christals to craft every costume/character? I got Beverly and Quagmire yesterday and should unlock Stewie tomorrow, but I have the feeling I am miles behind on scedule. Oh wel I’ll just see how far I will get.

The drop rates for Antivirus Software is just awful! The cat food needs more ways to drop. I just need more sunscreen and I get Talosian Stewie! I got Picard yesterday, so that will leave me 3 days to get Data and gather for Kirk.

Anyone got Stewie yet? I think there is a bug in the game. I have the required number of “vaseline”? (I think it was vaseline) for Stewie but I keep getting more beyond the 18. I don’t think it’s required for any other part of the game. On the flip side, SPF suscreen seems to be stuck at 3. I’ve sent both Riker and Mort at least 10 times combined and not yielded a single one….

Last night i unlocked Talosian Stewie but i have yet to unlock regular Stewie so the skin is still locked in Al’s. Will i still be able to complete the Brain Swelling questline after the event or am I just out of luck?

Usually the questlines stop once event is over. All you can do is wait and see what is still remaining in the game when you get to the point of unlocking him.

I’ll be on System Failure pt. 8 to finish unlocking Data once Riker finishes playing with his instrument in six hours. I still need quite a bit of cat food and software though.

Ugg…the Dilithium Crystal sitch looks even worse when you put them all in one place…it’s going to take 18,850 DC to get through those quests (not counting the 15k for Kirk) with a total payout of under 700 DC. Any tips for where to come by these, keeping in mind that any character used for virus software or cat food will likely be unavailable for any other tasks for another week or so.

Concerned about the high amount of crystals needed for everything, don’t know how I’ll make it through System Failure questline, I’m still trying to get enough crystals for Picard & Data. More characters & skins still yet to come too, feeling quite overwhelmed! Been trying all the tips I’ve read on here for getting crystals, but having little luck getting much. Hopefully something else to get more crystals comes along soon, time is running down fast!
I’ve not been able to do much on Any of the questlines, too much energy and/or items needed to pull characters away to do quests.

Oh, also, when the time comes, would it be better to get Picard or Data first? I’m guessing Picard because he can do the Bertram battling? But then again you need Data for the main questline… arghhh

I would say Picard myself. But that all varies on how fast you get Stewie to help too.

I have the same dilemma. I’ll be in a position to unlock Stewie first, but I wonder if it is worth holding out for Picard and unlocking him before Stewie as the Crystals are a lot harder to come by now.

I went for Picard and then realized my mistake. Stewie isn’t a skin that’ll be in use to collect for Data. I’m kicking myself for spending my precious dilithium because now I have to sit and wait to generate enough dilithium for Stewie. If you’re done with the cans, go for Picard, if not go for Stewie. Stewie can help beat Bertram faster, thus earn more dilithium. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Not really a mistake. I went with Picard too. I figure since cat food is a common drop, even without using Lotucus, chances are I am going to get all the cat food needed before I get the all of the rare Anti-Virus Software needed to unlock Data. You should be fine if you keep Picard on Bertram and rely on just Riker and the Borg cube for cans. 🙂

I’m going for stewie first as he helps with bertram. . But the sunscreen isn’t dropping for me but I’m getting close to having data (about 3 days away if drop rate stays the same). Picard requires the dark matter.. so will need stewie to get dark matter. I don’t alter my sleeping habits to get bertram I think that’s too much to ask. So I can only complete phase 1 of bertram easy. Phase 2 is a gamble without stewie and setting an alarm for 330am. phase 3 isn’t possible without stewie or the premium character(s?). Hopefully this is helpful and I’m not steering you in the wrong direction lol.

also if you get stewie you finish the Trekkie Griffins for 25 gold clams.. data will give you 50 clams too for TNG group. So. Yay clams.

I unlocked Stewie first, now working on Picard and being kind of lazy in getting Data(only really care about him because he’s the last person to get before I get a claim bonus).

Stewie and Picard at the same time, since I have enough Dilithium to afford both, else I would go with the one which I get faster, both will help to defeat Bertram. Data can wait.

Go for Stewie ASAP, then picard, as both help greatly with the Bergram Borg battle. Save Data for last.

Picard if you’re getting enough crystals every day. He helps speed up Bertram while you wait for stupid sunscreens to drop.

Stewie seems easiest. He can also help you fight betram so you can get the dark matter for picard faster.
Save data for last. The anti-virus software he wants is a real pain to get.

I don’t understand the “Stewie is easier than Picard” camp. You must have different drops for sunscreen than others! Yes, Picard requires a bit of luck if freemium – two level three Bertrams in a row is tricky with only two characters. But if you are prepared to spend a couple of the clams the tribbles have been dropping for free to squeeze a sixth shot in it has a reasonable probability.

A guide to earning crystals would be an awesome post to put up, or recommending ways or something, between stewie Picard and Kirk, you need 23,000 crystals… That’s a tall order but I’m sure you have pointers on how to spend time correctly to earn them.

I have collected all the creams and jackets for talosian stewie needed to create him but I’m still able to send characters to get more and rooms are dropping them still(often) so is there a upcoming outfit or new char that’s needs them or is it pointless to collect more?

I agree with Brenda. With all that’s going on, I have less than half of the common drop of catfood. Not only is it mean to put Riker on a 24 hour task at this time, Locutus is the only other character that drops catfood, but his other skin, Captain Picard is required to defeat Bertram! Are they trying to drive me crazy?

I think I’m going to wish I’d taken advantage of all the Tribbles when I had the chance. Ah well, here’s hoping they add a better way to obtain Dilithium with the next Warp Core upgrade. Loving the site by the way. Keep up the good work guys! 🙂

Mine have still been dropping all over. Worf, Rooms, Bonnie. Just tested her again via Clams… Results 2 drops/5 tries.
My Suggestion at anytime a Character drop seems to stop… send them on a short task like an Hour. Restart the device. Then try the task again. Sometimes electronics need a “kick” to get the to wake up and go back to work.

Finally got Beverly yesterday 🙂 In a couple of days, I should be done with Vulcan Quagmire, so I’m only 1 or 2 weeks behind it seems……
Killing 50 Borgs for Data (with only Troi) is a PITA 😦

Does anyone knows if after System Failure Part 6 Lois 1h tasks resets to a diferent cristals payout or maintains the 50 cristals?

Will be done today with data…the antivirus software is being a bastard. 22/28. I don’t understand why it costs 120 or so clams to rush when it costs 6 per software. 6×6 is 36. This has been a good update. Good job Tinyco.

Are you crafting someone else at Al Harrington’s? Remember you can only create 1 costume at a time in Al’s, so if you have someone else going the other costume options (not created yet) will disappear to prevent you from crafting 2 at once. It’ll reappear once the other is created.

Although I am enjoying this event, I must be a week or so behind. Still working on Quagmire and had to use clams to finally get Beverly. Not sure if I’m not doing the tasks in order but … Oh well I’ll just keep on checking every two hours and fingering my phone!

I don’t have a hope of getting to this unless TC decide to extend the event by a couple of weeks 😦 This is the first time I’ve been so off pace with an event even though I play several times per day, have bough all premium characters, and made a couple of clam purchases during the event. Free players must stand no chance…
I’m surprised how difficult some of the elements have been, and although some of the issues have later been patched by TC the damage was already done. I think when they look back at this event they will realise they got the balance all wrong, not to mention how ridiculously difficult it is to line up 2 shots on the shielded PeterCraft – if it was two taps I could understand, but lining up to hit fire on such a fast moving object is too much, and that isn’t even taking into account the screen freezes.
I’d be surprised if anyone finishes this event unless they pay serious clams to speed unlock the characters and areas. They may as well have made Kirk a $100 purchases for all the chance regular players have of unlocking him…

Actually we are seeing several players, Freemium, that are keeping up. It takes a lot more work this event than many are used to, but it can be done.

Must say its a real kick in the gut to take Riker away for a full day when he’s one of only three ways to get cat food needed for data which is an 8-hour task. I’m only halfway to getting all of them so this may be the first time in game history I don’t complete a level within the requisite timeframe.

My rule of thumb in events is that it will take until sometime on Tuesday (if event started or updated on Thursday) for character unlocks to be completed. So I don’t expend too much anxiety until then. I will say this event has pushed my panic button a few times with some unlocks (most notably Quagmire at about 3/4 the needed space condoms last Wednesday, but I saved up phaser energy and spent 45 minutes making sure I had two hits per shielded craft and Q dropped a few to let me get him just before next warp core update due to delay).

to take care of cat food i built 4 borg cubes. Not going to be a problem for me now. Cat food is almost done (Should be on the next cycle). Doing this left Picard free to keep attacking betram and allowed me to use riker to get stewies spf 2000.
