Hey there Tribblemakers!
I know many of you that got the in game messaging responses in regards to an extension are patiently waiting news of just what will happen with the Event. For now, it is still showing as just 1 day (01D) left in the Menu. So, will there be an Extension?
After experiencing some issues over the weekend, many of you received a response similar to this one…
“While we don’t have any announcements yet, we’re looking into all options for how we can help players maximize the event in these last few days. This is especially true for players who got caught in the Enterprise crash bug: we want y’all to be able to finish the event as normal.
We don’t yet know what form that will take, but we expect to have an announcement before the end of the day ….”
First off, I wanted to say thank you to all that wrote in. As we try to encourage here… if you have a want, suggestion, or idea that you feel would benefit the players in the game… let them know. You may not always get a response to suggestions, but as you can see they ARE reading them and paying attention.
Now to the issue at hand, just WHAT is it TinyCo is going to do to help out the players?
Hailing on all frequencies! The Star Trek event has been extended by one week. The event will now end on May 7th at 3 PM PDT.
Thank you all for being such amazing players. We’re very proud of this event and hope this helps you experience as much of it as possible. Live Long and Prosper!
So there you have it. We all will have ANOTHER week of this Star Trek Event to be able to get those extra items you need and maybe the last of those Characters you have been wanting. Remember the Borg Bertram will still be your best supply of Dilithium Crystals and Dark Matter, so keep at the battles at the highest possible Boss you can.

Thankful we have another week. Was there a posting about joes costume abilities? Does he do anything useful? I still need him and Kirk. Also, I have been saving my characters paused with a check mark on the boss waiting for him to respawn… A few times I did not receive any credit. His bar was full even though 2 characters attacked him. Is this normal? Is this happening to other people?

Main post… not much really. Just earns basics. Nothing special so far.
Try some basics for other issue. Like restart, check to make sure your app market app is up to date.

This is great, now I will not only be able to get enough Dark Matter to finish off the final character, but I should also be able to finish off the quest lines. I love that TinyCo listens to the players and makes changes when needed.

YAY! Maybe I can work on some of the quests I skipped now. And if I don’t get that sunscreen by then, someone’s got some explaining to do. 😉 Who knows I might even get Picard after all.

Well im glad to see as extension too. I had my bertram reset because of glitching not saving my tasks. Woke up mid sleep to finish killing the last bertram, set a few characters to task, only to wake up in the morning to see that bertram reset and those characters never set to task. In the end i wouldve been 1 day short or less, i have enough for kirk now and the other buildings. Without the extension, i was going to miss out on pike joe.

Do you use an iPhone? I had the same issue too of my tasks not being saved. What I do now is to switch between Enterprise and Quahog a couple of times before exiting the game, it seems to have avoided the problem.

Happy, happy, joy, joy. I am glad that they are giving people more time to try to complete this event. I, myself, am done except for quest clean up, but still will take the opportunity. I wish everyone who are still grinding out items for unlocks the best of luck to score everything they need.
I hope that TC plans a return to this event in the future. And if they do maybe they can add Bonnie as Orion Slave Girl for Captain Pike Joe. And maybe bring in some of the other franchises so we can get Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise characters as well. Imagine a Captains Group with Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, Archer and perhaps Chris Pine’s Kirk if they do this as a regular yearly event. I can dream.

Since the extension popped up, I’m missing the ability to create Picard and earn the Herbert/new skin from the traveling missions. Anyone else missing these? Wondering if it was part of update-or just me? Thanks

I’m actually not very excited that they are extending the event, I think it’s already been over 40 days and to me, it’s run its course. I worked pretty hard and spent a bit of money to get all that was available in the time that was set. But, since I’m not the actual centre of the universe, it is a good thing to help the people that have had trouble with crashing games and those silly people that may have more of a life then me. I guess I will just spend the next week sending Peter,Lois and quagmire to whatever planet gives a chance for free clams. With it only being an hour quest, the odds of me making my money back are pretty good

It IS great because you have an extra week to use the transporter and reassimilate clams from the Borg cube!

But it isn’t, I made a decision to spend clams with a fixed end date (generally the only deadline TinyCo hits) and the rules changed. This means I spent clams under false pretenses and this isn’t the first time I’ve been burned by gameplay rule changes and I’ve had enough this time.

I get you’re frustrated, I really do. But spending Clams a personal choice. Not forced.
Let me offer an alternative view. Let’s pull out this end date. Pretend it didn’t exist. We know just in this event alone tinyco has surprises around every door. Every corner. So let’s say that tomorrow, still same end date of 30th, they tossed in an extra Character or questline that helped you get all you needed at the end. (It HAS been done before.) So you would’ve been upset at that too? It would’ve still been within the deadline. Still within that time frame. It was a high possibility that was gonna happen, but extension was given instead.
All I’m asking is what we ALWAYS push here. Do not spend clams to speed tasks. Ever. Wait. Always wait. I wrote an entire post about it. Never Give Up Never Surrender. Help always hits in the end (kinda like a movie). If you do still make the personal choice to spend those clams, be prepared to except full responsibility for your choice. A sale could be round the corner. Another element to the game play. Etc. It is a risk you will always need to keep in mind When speeding something Not standard game play.
I’m not saying this to be cruel or mean or hurtful. I’m only doing what this site is here for, helping. Showing players another way to game. Opening their minds to really take a full look at what’s in front of them. Offering up my own personal money and time so you don’t have to. Take our words to heart. They are there to help you… always.
For now… If you honestly feel wronged by making the personal choice to spend clams, talk to them about it. Be exact in your words and explain yourself. See what they say. Remember, kindness goes a long way. 😉

I have no problem spending money on this game as I’m a premium player with 200 plus dollars invested (**** microtransactions). The issue isn’t making the choice to spend clams, the issue is making the choice under false pretenses. I realize that TinyCo changes rules on the fly, but this was a huge slap in the face to premium players (again). Anyone that can’t see that is delusional.
TinyCo has burned me for the last time with this one… I did get in touch with them and am giving them a reasonable amount of time to address my concerns.

If you saw what we spend on an event, you would pass out. No reason to call someone delusional. Like I said, I get your frustration. I just personally saw no false pretenses in this. If you had spent them today, the original day set for it to end… I would be having a different conversation with you.
Either way, you contacting them with your concerns is the best.

I did contact TinyCo and they dismissed me by promising “awesome new content”. As a result, I contacted Apple regarding my concerns with the game. Apple sided with me and quickly refunded my in app purchases for the last month. At least Apple has their act together.

Try the Borg Cube transporter mission, you might be able to get some of them back or even gain more than you used if you get lucky enough.

Maybe you can increase drop rates and make it easier to get dilithium.
I am still working on Kirk (8000 dilithium away).

You’ll never believe this. I’m having a senior moment. I turned 38 last week so I’m that much older now, anyway after my last comment I went in my game to check in on joe and OMG I had all the items. I have no idea when I collected them all. So I crafted him and now he’s in my enterprise. However I believe he took a ton of dilithium. So I am now back to needing about 10000 dilithium for Kirk
As for pervert ( oops I mean Herbert…) any tips. Cause I’m also sending Peter, quag’s and Lois on constant hourly tasks to cube world to try and win the 500 dilithium or 5 clams.

I had all but given up on getting Herbert and stopped sending missions for him. And then…on a whim I sent Lois alone. I was sending Peter and Quag on other quest line tasks at the time and had Lois doing “nothing” so sent her and bam…got Creepy Edo Herbert. So it is possible, just pure luck. Keep sending someone if they are available, you may eventually get him.

Yay! I needed this week! I can now get the last characters now hopefully! I have not had any issues with this event except I just couldn’t stay up at night like I used to lol cause of meds!

Man I was working hard to get Kirk and all the other freebies and this last Bertram sting will put me there 😊 I’m glad they gave another week but man I worked hard to finish the event on time and I will be, good luck to everyone still trying to get everything 😊

I agree and I have started a campaign with TinyCo to get a thank you for them both in game. Maybe their own character or an Addicts billboard or any little acknowledgement. Maybe if we can get all the addicts to unite and request it then we can get our favorite Addicts (Bunny and Alissa), the recognition they deserve. I have sent the suggestion to TinyCo and posted it on their Facebook page multiple times. Anyone who can help spread the word would be awesome in my book.

A week extra may be enough for me to get Kirk… If only the app didn’t crash on startup. Why can’t apple let us downgrade an apps version, the one before 1.7.6 in the store worked for me.. Except for that pike joe crash that I read someone else had too.

Awesome. I’ve been diligent playing constantly every single day but I’m not even close yet to finishing the Final Frontier quests let alone starting the Tour of Quahog ones. Between horrific drop rates on certain items (it took me an extra week to get Vulcan Quagmire and Data) and repetitive full / near full day jobs for questlines it became obvious a week ago I’d never finish by the original end date.

I saved enought crystal to get Kirk instead of joe, cause joes just a chair, but now I get to finish the questlimes and get joe as well.

After keeping up most of the weeks I messed up these last two days – I was going to end up being only ONE dark matter short for Kirk! I miscounted and thought I may as well complete the Final Frontier questline and allowed the Bertram streak to end so that I could take him out three more times.
For whatever reason Picard face-palming for Pt. 2 was a task I had not bothered with – I sent Geordie and Chris and Stewie off on some of their side-quests but did not pay attention to Picard’s till it was too late. The killer for me in annoyance was that the previously destroyed Borg Cubes were saved and marked off as ‘done’ tasks on the questline – but taking out another few of those would have only taken seconds. Whereas the four stuns I delivered to Bertram did not count – and trying to take him out three more times at level five was not possible. I understand why previous stuns would not be counted – but that they did count the trivial Cubes attacks just seemed to be rubbing salt in.
Glad I checked-in here just before I was about to spend nearly three hundred clams!

I am happy for the players who were shut out of the game due to the glitch, but please TinyCo no new content unless it doesn’t involve Bertram. I got Kirk this morning and have abandoned his battles since I didn’t think I would need any more dark matter since the event was ending. I really don’t want to have to make that climb again. I would be happy with nothing but cleaning up questlines for the week. This event has been a real grind.

Agreed. I’m sitting on 45k dilithium and 205 dark matter which I hope can be used for something. Those 4 hour timers for Bertram were a PITA and I’m ready to get a good night sleep.

I’m super happy! I was borderline going to be able get the the Jean-Luc costume by it ended so hopefully now I’ll be able to even get captain Kirk!

May 7th? I actually might be able to swing getting Kirk and Data then. Have all 4 freemium characters blasting away at Bertram constantly (he’s entering the 5th version in about 30 minutes), so dark matter’s not a problem. Biggest thorn for me is easily still the anti-virus software. I believe I need around 10 for Data, and I’ve had Herbert and Crusher doing their 2hr tasks for it since getting them. Peter’s unfortunately busy in a quest activity, but it seems the “rare” aspect is wishful thinking at times with how few I’ve gotten til now.

Ha! I just unlocked Kirk, too. Lots of early mornings and late nights (and everything in between 🙂 ) to set up the prefect Borg Bertram fights and send my away teams the last few days…

Just got crusher , almost got stewie and quagmire costumes , working on data ,hoping I get edo Herbert, 90% to unlocking the final district with pike joe , I hope the week extension works properly so I can get as much as possible

Im not either, I’ve been completely done since this morning. Now ive got another week of this? I guess i have a week off from the game then!
Also I had no problems with the game crashing.

Great news on the extension! Any indication on what we are going to be able to do with extra dilithium and dark matter? In past events there’s been an opportunity to use it to get last minute extra items but there doesn’t seem to have been any indication from what I’ve seen, so I’m just wondering if I should keep stockpiling dark matter from Bertram battles or advancing the various quests.

So Bunny, any suggestions as what to with an extra week of star trek if you’ve already got everything? Should I keep farming Bertram in the event that something is offered up, or just ignore the Enterprise and go back to my regular questlines?

As I do not know if anything else will be in the mix… I would say, play at your own pace and desire from this point. There has not been a mention of another Mystery Box, but they may be due to many are still not to the end NOR have extra items. We will just have to wait and see what this last week provides us. 😉

No. We only got the King from his throne. The Yeti we had to earn separately in that Event. Dunno how/if Bertram will be offered.

If you are far enough along in the quests I have found that the best way to collect all the crystals you need is to constantly send quagmire, Louis, and Peter to the cube. You have a chance to get 500 crystals or 5 Clams every hour. Either way it’s a win win. Sometimes you lose and only get 5 crystals but I’ve found it works 90% of the time.

Great news. I am about 9500 dilithium and 140 dark matter short of Captain Kirk, but that is easily achievable within a week (I am averaging about 3000 dilithium and 50 dark matter a day). And I should even able able to acquire Picard’s Fencing Arena and Data’s Chip Factory.
