Think I’ll wait until a few hours before the end of the event next week to start collecting the mystery box items, just in case something extra is added before the end. Got everything and everyone else though. Spent more clams on this event than on all the previous others combined cause I just love Star Trek!

I had one of everything, except redshirt, bank and transporter, with only one duplicate brown tribble. But after 9K dilithium I still have the same. But bertrum is about to die, so I’ll have 4 more chances today!

Kinda disappointed the litte fellows make no sound, I got several of them along with warp core 6, 2, 3, and 1, all of the mystery box statues, and red shirt guy, and one other thing. So does the giant one make any sound?

Well, I’m torn. While I like some of the items in the Rupert box, I’m aware of the prolific Tribbles. I’m glad there’s a week to gather more crystals.
My goal is to have 60 of the Alien Hedges. If we ever do mazes again I want THAT for my maze instead of the green hedges 😀 I already have about 75 summer screens from the Kool Aid event (previously collected) and they obscured the characters too much to use them effectively.
I am still working toward getting Kirk. Above all else, with the extension, he is priority.

I feel your pain. Well over 20 tribbles and the red shirt is still eluding me. They are so easily caught in the series so why not in game? I’m coming for you red.

I must have gotten very lucky to get the items I wanted in a minimum amount of tries – first pull was the red Warpcore, and the second pull was the Redshirt. Thanks to your warning about the tribbles, I will be stopping here. Maybe if they put some Borg stuff in there I might be tempted further, but I have other plans for my dilithium…

I am glad Tiny C.O. provided this for those who want. Personally, I can’t imagine putting any of it in my Quahog. If we could keep our Enterprises (I get the reason why we can’t), that would be different. Well, I might let some tribbles run around if I have dilithium towards the end.

How does everyone have so many crystals?? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I play multiple times a day and still struggling to afford the characters. I only have 4,000 and still missing Data, Picard, and Kirk. (Plus Herbert but he’s unrelated to the crystals).

The Borg cube planet away mission I send Lois alone constantly and she regularly gives me clams (25% of the time). When I sent all three I often got the Dillithium

And that math works indeed, I managed to get 21k crystals (what I needed for Kirk and Joe) in just 4 days. In Bunny we trust.

Don’t feel bad, Xarone, you’re not the only one who didn’t follow the strategy. Bunny has some excellent math on how to get more crystals and they really are effective. Just put math for crystals in the handy-dandy search tool above and you, too, shall be reaping the crystal harvest 😉

spam farm the borg ship with any Quagmire, Louis and Peter, chance at 500 crystals and 5 clams

I’ve found that sending all available characters on the shortest task (1-2 hours) possible several times a day produces more crystals than sending them on one long task. However, this only works if your able to play every hour or so.

TinyCo did a great job with the decos. They are awesome. I had over 50k in dilithium so I had no problems playing the box many times. Luckily I didn’t have to try too many times to get at least one of everything. I ended up with 7 brown, 2 beige, and 1 yellow tribble, after getting one of everything else.

I just got a dark brown tribble, and when I tap on it it says Giant Brown Tribble, but it’s regular tribble size. Did they mislabel it?

I got so many tribbles… I ran out of dilithium so I had to stop for now, got everything except the Flaming Red Shirt, Warp Core Level 5, and oddly enough the Yellow Tribble… but I do now have 10 Brown and 4 Beige.

This morning I discovered a flaw in my attempts to buy so many mystery boxes… I forgot to save the 4000 dilithium I needed to unlock Joe’s costume. Ah well, a few more Bertram battles (maybe some away missions) and I’ll be able to unlock him.

Bummer…14 pulls and no Red Shirt. Have 6 Tribbles…and every stupid Warp core (why are Warp cores even in there? They’re MASSIVE and ugly. Bigger than Buzz Killingtons mansion nearly). Still time though and hope springs eternal. Saving up for one more pull. Come on…..Baby needs a new pair of shoes…….

Since you had to repair them, there is a chance (maybe just a tiny one, unless they have announced it either way :P) that you’ll get them at the end of the event when the enterprise goes.
I think they have said we’ll be getting the buildings we built on the enterprise, so maybe they are included.
I know at the start of the event I asked if we’d get the Al harringtons (even just as a skin for the old one) or some wacky wavy inflatable arm flailing star trekking tube men decos and they replied “maybe, would you like one? ;-)”
And just after that al Harringtons changed into an animated building, so MAYBE all the buildings on the enterprise will be included.
Wish you could some some wacky wavy fellas though… They are easily my favourite joke and one of my favourite things about the game (the super hero ones) I can watch them dance in the disco area for ages xD

I was hoping they’d add something to the Replicator as well.
Dilithium-based Mystery Box is all well and good. But I’ve managed to amass nearly 250 Life Support Energy, which I’m sure lots of others have as well. One could argue that Phaser Energy can be used to earn Dilithium, and Transporter Energy can be used for Away Missions to the Borg Cube in the hopes of getting Clams.
But I have quite a lot of excess Energy that just doesn’t really serve much purpose anymore.

Is something up with Warp Core 5? I just spent 20K crystals on the Rupert box and got everything except Warp Core 5. Saving the rest of my crystals in case it’s a bug. I also got 5 Yellow, 11 Brown, and 10 Beige Tribbles, and 5 Computer Banks.

Why would I waste 500 dilithium on the items in the mystery box when is till need 6000 dilithium to still get Kirk. If tiny co did anything they should make it easier to earn dilithium at this pojnt in time. I have defeated Bertram day after day after day after day only to earn 2000 dilithium each time.
This event was fun I’ll admit. But it had some very very very very very very unreasonable drop rates and earn rates for currency and stuff

Go to the math post to learn how to use the planets and battles effectively. It’s a strategy and technique. Stop running the questlines and focus solely on getting those required items and crystals. I was WAY behind and today I am almost caught up. By the end of the event I am sure I will have my Kirk. It CAN be done if you follow the techniques in the Math thread.
