UPDATE 7/11: Morning all… so the “issue” last night was new and isolated quick. Not the same as the other two they’re still trying to track that hit around Mobsters. So most should be right back in.
For everyone else still locked out, please keep posting the answers here if you have not already. To me, the core cause seems possibly related to Android Updates (like within Lollipop and the actual 5.2 update). Will keep working with TinyCo and our readers here to track it til we find the trigger. Thanks so much for your help and answers. I really appreciate it. 🙂

- When did this begin?
- I know some have answered many times, but we see players reporting it right after Mobsters ended, along with some who have been locked out for longer. We are trying to see if this is two different issues.
- What region do they live in?
- State of the US, country if outside the US.
- We find that sometimes, rarely, this is related to a specific carrier or region.
- What carrier do they use?
- ATT, Verizon, just wifi, etc
- Can they log on using their account on a DIFFERENT android device?
- We know logging on iOS fixes it. Does another Android device?
So let’s work together to find out just WHY this is impacting individual Android Users and get it taken care of so we can all get back to having fun!!

1. Game started crashing after 2:00 AM EST on 7/9 I logged in before bed set tasks for 4 hours and have not been able to get back in ruining the end of the event.

Until this afternoon I could un-instal and it would load but as soon as I would link to my Google account it would not load the game, it would just quit to phones home screen.
For the last few hours it will not load, even if I re-install. I get a Consuella error and have to press “home” to get out.

1. July 8th, around 6 pm GMT, I was in the middle of the 3rd raid in Corleone’s mansion.

4. Happened with Galaxy S3 (Android 4.3). Also tried my Nexus tablet (Android 5.x) but it showed the same error.

1. July 3rd, but I think that my initial problem was due to my Dad’s internet connection, something must have been blocking the app. I came back yesterday(July 9th) and I can now access Tapped Out, but TQFS is still not working. No longer getting a server connection error, just crashing when it loads.

3. Zen internet here, BT at my Dad’s, both are WiFi, pretty strong connections but something must have blocked my apps with BT.
4. I do not have any other Android devices I can borrow to try.
I do not know what happened at first as I could not find a cause, but access is better here, now I’m suffering the crash issues others are so I cannot guarantee when the crash errors would have started.

1. started late afternoon 9th july (local time) with just under 24hrs left on mobsters event. don timer was possibly nearing the end of a 24hr cycle (i dont remember exactly, as i didnt start a raid on him).

Noticed last night 7/9 around 10pm. Still not working. Live in NYC. Usually play thru Android via BlueStacks on my Windows tablet but also on my Verizon Android phone. Same issue on both.

For those locked out. Try opening it from fb with the safari browser (its apple ios).
Just a suggeation to try can’t hurt thats for sure.

I can’t get on on my Kindle fire hd which I normally use, nor my Samsung s3 phone nor facebook (I tried chrome & Firefox). No Apple device available 😦

1. Locked out since Sunday. Was on week 5 of the Mobster Event. The 24 hour counter on Don Corleone would have run out in between when I could play and when I couldn’t. Don’t know if it’s related, but saw some others having problems with that.

3. I use Verizon, but doesn’t work when I’m on Wi-Fi either
4. Not sure, only have access to my phone. Have latest update, I have uninstalled and reinstalled. The game will open to a new game, but as soon as I log in using Facebook, it tries to open my game, then closes before it loads

1) Crashing on loading screen began in the early morning of July 9th (last day of Mobsters event). Crashing like this never happened once during the rest of the event, only the last day. Still cannot get in even after updates and restarting device.

1. July 6th, was in game around 3 pm EST, couldn’t log in when attempted around 7 pm. Had run out of time on step 2 of defeating Don, and was 1/2 way on 2nd star of final week raid.

Crash started 2 days before mobster event was over.was doing nothing out of the ordinary…live in Canada. Have Sasktel wireless provider with wifi only, no i do not have ios, just 2 android devices….really hope it gets fixed soon

TinyCo, please be aware that Android Lollipop 5.0 and to extents 5.01 and 5.02 have a known memory leak problem. Apps do not properly get released from the ram, causing slowdown, and in bigger programs.. crashes.
I have three samsung devices in my house. Galaxy tab pro 10, running kitkat, stock, rooted but no roms. No crashes, rarely any lag. Galaxy tab pro 10, running kitkat, not rooted, purely stock. No crashes. GalaxyS5 AT&T, not rooted, running lollipop 5.0, with updated firmware as of last night. Crashes often.
I can narrow down the memory issue even further by saying that before lollipop, if something crashed, it was likely just a program problem as it would be the only thing affected. After lollipop, and monitoring my resources, things would gradually slow down over the day, and whatever ended up crashing, my wallpaper would reset to stock and my androidwear watch would disconnect. That’s androids last ditch “oh my god out of ram start shutting things down in the background to keep the active program alive “. When “the quest for stuff” crashes, which is frequent due to the size of the game and the amount of resources it uses (even with almost everything boxed), i get the telltale double buzz on my wrist telling me my watch just disconnected. (Not enough free memory). Never fails, 10 seconds later the game is crashed, and everything on the phone is super slow.
This started when i upgraded to lollipop, but got far more severe with the event. Now that the event is over, it less severe again, but still happens.
I believe this is less a tinyco problem and more an android L problem, that if you research just Android L crashing seems to effect everyone but especially samsung devices on L.
If tinyco could find a way to reduce the load on the system overall (simpsons game is less fun, but far bigger, has far more active characters and land, never lags. Sim city is far less fun, and crashes and lags in a very similar way to family guy in smaller space ) then i believe you will be much closer to solving this and future problems..
But is it even possible to solve the overall game performance without having to rewrite the base of the entire game? That i don’t know.

4. No iOS devices to try it on and haven’t tried on my other Android stuff. I did try their Facebook Beta but can’t find a way to login via username.
I just hope there is some sort of nicety they can provide for the folks that have been locked out, especially since they don’t seem to respond to emails. I do understand they volume has to be quite large, but even a form letter would be nie.

For me it began Monday 7/6 am. I am in AZ and it has occurred on both Wi-Fi and Verizon service. I don’t have access to an iOS device and issue followed to other Android devices once I connected my save. If I clear data and use no save the app works fine until I remind even after multiple app reinstalls

For me, with no previous problems at all in the Mobster event, I was crashed out the last day of the event (the evening of the 8th).

Hadn’t thought of logging in on my boyfriend’s droid, but I will. I did go on a Mac at work through Facebook and it wouldn’t load, but probably cuz it was a work computer. I don’t have any iOS devices. 😦

Just tried on my boyfriend’s phone…same model as mine. He never played Mobster event (so unless it updated in the background, he never had anything added from that event). Logged in, tried loading the game and it crashed. He had to uninstall, reinstall and login as himself again for it to work and it is working.
My boyfriend can play the Magic Mike event and I can’t! Ugh…he hasn’t played this game for months and when perhaps the gayest event hits Quahog, I’m locked out – I’ve played it for over a year straight! Pun intended.

Started yesterday morning seemed like i noticed an automatic app store update before I went to my game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I can get in but then I connect to my saved game with Facebook it will reload and crashes.

Shut out 2 days ago, never finished the mobsters event I gave up with all the crashing 2-3 days previous on the final countdown stage. I live in Wales, Europe. I use a kindle fire and an Android Samsung a3. Neither work. I get either a “cannot connect to server” message or just loads then kicks me out.

Started on July 3 after the last Thursday update.
Tested in Minnesota and Georgia.
Using Verizon.
No other devices to test it on. Phone is HTC One M8.
Have done a completely new install after this last update was released, still no go.

Started yesterday live in Jamaica, no other android device to log in on, for what its worth when i was using my GS3 the game crashed alot for me, since i got my LG G3 the game ran smooth with just some stutter and lag here n there and i began to enjoy the experience again, but now im locked out

It began when for the first time I let the Don expire. It was two and a half days or so before event end. I’m from Europe. Carrier is Telenor. Phone s5 mini. I don’t have any other device to try with so sadly I can’t respond to the last Q.

Same here. The first Don timer had 1:30 left when I stopped playing. Then four hours later, got back in and it started crashing on the load screen.
TinyCo has the details, but wanted to post something here in case it helps. Since the event is over, I am not feeling that the Don was the cause.

I haven’t been able to play since 7/3. I live in Phoenix. I’m on a T-Mobile Note 4. And I’ve tried a Alcatel tablet and wasn’t able to log in, either. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the game loaded, but when I logged in, it crashed.

No, I tried logging in on an ASUS Tranformer Prime Tablet that runs on Android.

4. Playing on my phone has been pretty much impossible but I have been playing on my Nexus 10 over Wi-Fi without any issues at all. It did crash a few times after the mobsters event ended but no issues this morning that I noticed.
