Remember, unless it is very clearly notated with a timer (Like Rapper Brian & Makeover Meg were) ALL these Characters/Skins run until the End of the Event.

- You will need to Complete Grin & Bear It Part 5 to move into Phase 4 content.
- Carl in the Merch Kiosk is NOT timed so tap away.
- Play the new Main Questline to complete a few Part #’s first to access ALL the new items (most do not start right until you do).

So does that mean after you unlock Carl and do the concert, if you don’t get all the stars or spend the lighters on the DJ Booth, you can’t get Herbert without purchasing the clam building for them? That doesn’t make sence to me.

Not for Deadmau5’s album. I’m in the UK and after I wasn’t given the option to download I found in the FAQ that Deadmau5 album is only available to USA and Canada. Very disappointed this wasn’t stated before I purchased Deadmau5, I have let tinyCo know how I feel as the first FAQ that lists the countries has UK listed.

With Alice Cooper being required for the new week to kick off and Alice Cooper taking more time than being done before the new content, TinyCo once again proved their excellent skills of planning drops.
I’m done with the event right after completing Alice. At least I want the album as a reward for enduring this pain once again.

If you have a Character needing them, like DJ Herbert… you can tap on Al’s to see the overall count. Otherwise there is not a counter for them. I have requested something to be added and would suggest others to do the same. 😉

Anybody else have a little offer to get a leopard print boot for clams pop up when Peter comes back empty handed from his 8 hour task? I’ve been trying for boots for days now, but this was the first time I had an offer.

Are you speaking of the “Try Again” option when completing a task? If so, it is always there. You just can’t tap madly or it will clear it. You tap to wait for the character to pay out and it offers you to “try again” or “buy it now” at a clams cost.

That’s what it was, but that was the only time I’ve ever seen it so I took it as tinyco telling me the only way I’m getting those boots is if I drop the 180 clams to buy them.

Nope. Always an option somewhere in the game pretty much of a “buy out” on Materials. I have actually found many times it may be cheaper using that feature to get an item then a flat payout on the Character. 😉

Just thought the try again/buy pop up was odd since while I’ve seen the buy option for pretty much every item needed for anything this was the only time I’d seen a try again or buy offer pop up.

The only time I ever see this Try again option is when using clams to speed the task that has a chance for item drop. Did you speed the task, or just randomly pop up at the normal end of his task?

I’m not sure. I don’t use clams to speed things up, but I am 3 lower today so I might have done it by accident since I use an alarm to wake up and check for the boots when Peter’s 8 hour task ends in the middle of the night.

Currently the concert stage is locked for Peter’s concert and to unlock it you need to unlock Carl. For this you need lighters which you can only get by performing a concert or buying the Zoopi Lighter Display for 130 clams. How do they expect us to get those lighters?

I think you have Carl confused with DJ Herbert. Carl does not need lighters and he is first up on the Stage. Then the Concert pays out lighters to help get DJ Herbert. (See this post). 😉

Thank you for the update Bunny, I read this to be safe before I went in the game for the next phase incase of timers and so on…Not much that interests me on this phase sadly but did buy Snooooooooop earlier….Was hoping for Deadmau5 to be free so will not be paying more clams as I am not that fussy about him..looks like a nice easy week for me at least just progressing the story ready for next phase(already haha) Hopefully I don’t have to get Carl either, congrats to him but again unless he is needed for the story will not be bothering as I have no interest in him and would like to use the materials elsewhere…Hopefully the next phase is more for me again ..good luck all and enjoy! I love the idea of Carl, and frankly, I am as familiar with him as I am Deadmau5 or Avril Lavigne! *chuckle* I am going to have to start collecting picnic baskets to get the LP’s, as I have been concentrating on honey pots to clear the dark swarms for blammies, other than that, it doesn’t look too horrible to unlock him, nothing rare or extra rare. Unless I see something different, I will probably concentrate on unlocking characters before the questlines, as I can shoot for 2 headphones in the same time as the Avril task in pt 1, and I want to get Carl unlocked so I can do the concert, and then unlock Herbert. At least I can start on collecting magazines for Herbert with Bonnie, the guitar store and the candy necklace factory. I really am enjoying this event! *smile*

I’m not sure if this is a bug on my game, or my bad luck! but first thing I noticed is when I caught the greased up deaf guy, and instead of getting a ticket I got a coin. Next time it happened when I got the three Park Rangers and cleared the honey Golden bear and instead of getting a record, I got a coin! Is this normal to my understanding they always dropped the items as pictured !!??

I am not sure on the Greased Up Deaf Guy as I always get one from him. The Golden Bears drops are coded same as the Material itself. It is listed as a Common drop (like in this post) not an Always.

Not impressed by this phase. I’ve never even heard of Deadmau5, let along this “Carl” person. And 350 clams?? Expensive much? I ended up buying him, but I almost immediately suffered buyers remorse. Wish there was a cooldown feature where you could cancel a purchase within the first 10 minutes or something 😦
Also the gold bears are not a guaranteed drop. I just did the first one and all it dropped for me was a coin.

I have only got 6/9 boots. Wish they would change the amount since a lot of people have being saying that the drop rate has been slow.
I have only spent clams on snoop dog. Will not spend clam on a character that was to be free to unlock.

When I went to their Company to tour the Facilities… I would love to hang out there. Such a cool place. They treat those celebs well when doing the recording sessions. I am sure they allow them thoughts and suggestions on actions and outfits. As far as voice, from the celeb side, I know a lot of times they give them free reign to try a few different ones. Then some of those make the cut into the game.

I just used 3 Rangers on the Golden Honey Bears but they only drop coins and I’m at phase 4 with the deadmau in the hau questline.
Is this normal for the LP to not always drop?

Yes. It’s tagged as a common drop so much like all the other bees & bears you clear, it won’t always pop out.

As I have said in many posts… including the one just before this…and this one too right up top… ALL Characters in the game unless specifically tagged with a timer (like Meg and Brian were) stay until the end of the Event. 😉
If you ever forget… it is also in the in game FAQ too if you need to check. 😉

Ok, I saw your statement and was thinking that the initial info on the hostel dude was that we had a week to gain the glow sticks and then saw that he needed to be unlocked and then upgraded and if he wasn’t cleared he would disappear today.
So either i was confused on the 27th vs -17th info or details changed.
I just earned all of 4000 glowsticks today, but held off purchasing thinking he would disappear before i could unlock, If I have a few more weeks i may reconsider, but i’ll likely unlock him i about same time as I get 5 more boots running Peter back to back to back.
I have let Tiny co know about the boot drop being a source of frustration. Their response was to send me instructions on how to REBOOT the game! Must have lost someting in translation! I resent the message with more firmness!
So far most of my messages either get no reply, or I get non-sequitur messages like that! During the mob Fest crashes the had the audacity to tell me to go purchase a new ipad! Never heard back from that message reply either, but it was more zesty!
I appreciate your hard work and all the info here, It does provide more dimensions to the game, snd apologize if my past words (and those of others) about the game play cause you heartburn( or worse) cause i can see that you care about the games as if you personally created them. Obviously there are those that have attacked you, as stand in for Tiny Co, and thats is inappropriate and unfortunate.

I was way ahead in this event but I’ve only gotten 3 boots and no shirts for beggars yet. I’m way behind now. I’m none too pleased about how expensive deadmaus is but I don’t really want him anyway. Seems like a lot of stuff just for Carl. No offense Carl. Despite hundreds of attempts to get syrong Herbert I never got him so I’m glad we get a Herbert skin. I’d love a leathered up Bruce skin for this event as well. I know we are gonna get a grateful dead Stewie but I wish we got hipster concert Stewie instead.

I suppose it is kinda neat to have a regular person released as a character, but I am not too thrilled with being required to unlock him in order to progress in this event. Seems like it would have been better served on the side (like Belgard), but at least I only need to get the LP’s and Headphones for him…
By the looks of things, it seems like this will (hopefully) be a calmer week. Maybe this will give people a chance to catch up before the next phase – which I definitely approve. Thanks for the info…

Hi Bunny, stupid question here. I’m still working on Alice (darn boots), but I am afraid to click on Peter because of the ! above his head. What happens if I click it, does it open a new quest for week 3 (not done with week 3, because of Alice)? Also, since the “slackers” (those who did not progress to having to unlock Alice Cooper) seemed to be the big winners on the leaderboard challenge, do you think it’s better to drop behind, so as to have “an advantage” with next week’s leaderboards?

Sucks that the deceased rodent is a clams only premium character. Was hoping it would be Weird Al so I could actually get him since with Alice’s non existent boots I’ll probably never even see any stage of the event after Alice’s..

Anyone else find it strange that Chris Griffen, the object of Herberts affection all throughout the show, plays not role at all in helping acquire items to unlock Herberts new DJ skin?
I would have thought that was a no brainer.
Also I find it a bit odd that they still have not given us a counter for things like tickets and guitar pics, seems like that would be something relatively simple.
Anyway, thus far phase 4 seems mostly Ho Hum for me, nothing really must have that I can see as of yet.

One other thing, I hope that they add in more dancing fans that we can buy with glowsticks, thus far there is only the one dancing deco fan, I have three of her,,,, so unless I want a group of dancing Clones, they need to give us more dancing fan decos using different appearances,, some blonde, some red heads, some guys,, not just 1 type

Deadmaus for how many clams? Seriously? Carl? Who cares but Carl? Worst phase by far. More bears. And 3 rangers to clear. Ouch cmon. First quest has Avril out for 24 hours. You can see where this is headed. Asking for huge time and big clams for the least interesting characters. Glad I got rapper Brian and make over meg and Joe lion and snoop.
And for those waiting for boots for Alice. Pony up the clams as they NEVER drop.

Sheesh. I hope if they ever added Alissa or Bunny into the game that people wouldn’t react so cold and callous towards them too. It’s a New Character and I think an Awesome one at that! To take an ACTUAL Player and put them into a game, I very much care. It is amazing of a company to do that. To have that connection with their Players. Just because you do not care for something does not mean others do not.
Plain and simple, if you don’t like it… pass on it… or move on and find something you do like.

Hi Bunny! Thanks for the quick updates!! Don’t know how you do it! Quick question, are the LP drops for the Honey Bear supposed to be always or common? It know it says common under the rate but when you click on the bear it only says drops LP. When my three hour wait was up, I cleared a bear and got a coin, not even a glow stick…is this supposed to happen and I have bad luck or is it a glitch? Thanks again for my “go to” site!

Geez, I feel we’ve been told over and over again that concerts are the best main way to earn lots of glow sticks, but so far it’s cost WAAAAY more glow sticks to put on a concert than I get from all the week’s concerts and encores combined and this week isn’t starting out any better.

I realize you haven’t had time yet to get much into the game. But when you or others do – I will be interested in knowing if DJ Herbert is essential to anything or if we can safely skip it. That’s a costume for the pervert, yes? Or is there a famous DJ named Herbert that I don’t know about? (I’m the Beatles Generation.) No picture up yet for DJ Herbert, so I can’t tell (still in Phase 3).
Also will want to know if Blammies are still going to be used and if we can pre-stockpile them now. The leaderboard is now swept clean (since the contest is over) and although they still have Blammy counters, there is no obvious indication in the leaderboard area or in the in-game faq about whether collecting Blammies now (if still possible) will be useful later in the second leaderboard contest. It looks as though lots of tickets and picks will still be needed for unlocking etc. though. Wish we had counters for those, I have no idea how many I’ve already accumulated.
Well, back to the Boot Pursuit to unlock Alice. Only two more to go! Peter has dropped 4 pairs and Belgard 3! And the first drop didn’t happen until early Tuesday morning – the Tiny Gods might have heard all the wailing and gnashing of teeth and tweaked the drop rate a tad.

I would say that DJ Herbert is essential. He’s the 2nd concert after you get Carl and do Peter’s concert. So if you want to play the full event, you’re going to need DJ Herbert.

P.S. In Phase 3: The dark haired bee girls no longer drop Blammies, not an option for the clear. So Blammies are out?

I am just wondering how many others are having this drop rate percentage as I do or if this is not normal and I should contact tiny co. I did send them an in game msg but just reaching out to the community to see if this is a drop rate beta he across the board

I see hits on the drops all over. My biggest suggestion is try a “reset”, Send him on the shortest possible task in his tasks. Then, back to boot kickin. See if it forces a drop. In the mean time… please keep informing them of your progression. 😉

Carl is a “must have” in my opinion. Such a unique character!

No Alice Cooper, and some clam buy, buy 19.95 and get tickets. Stupid since I can’t even see how many tickets I even have. I will never buy another clam until they change rare drops. If I buy a person or place, it should always drop. I have just been playing daily but not worrying about getting anyone anymore. At least with the Simpsons, my time is not wasted on iffy drops. I get what I put my effort into. This game is not really worth it since it is a game of chance.

You can find out how many tickets you do have. Go to the event tent or the store and click on Herberts skin or Carl and it will say how many you have out of the number you need

Ohhhhmy goodness. I was ahead pretty much the entire event until phase 3 hit… Still no Alice Cooper, and I have had Peter and belgard working their tails off! Only one more drop to go and I’m hoping it’s soon. But, I am proud to say I have had the self restraint to not spend a single clam so far! I usually get way too impatient and blow them to save a day. Maybe I will be luckier with the drop rates during phase 4. Also, I’m hoping that I will be grouped with different people this next leaderboard. Turns out that I was in a group of whales last time lol. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Yup, was unlocking the events 2-3 days into each week no problem. Now I have caught the deaf guy 11 times (out of 15) and had 7 boots (out of 9) drop for Alice Cooper.
Oh well, it’s not a proper TinyCo event without at least one severely miscalculated phase.

Hopefully I’ll get a day or two at the end of the event to get a taste of phase 4.
It’s a shame that an en entire phase of an event is held up because of one slow to unlock character.

I would say that depends on HOW you ask them or address them. Suggestions are just that… a suggestion. Something to “pass on”.
Questions, if in the game already are already answered. It also depends on if you “spam” question them the same thing over and over and over. One time for ONE issue, then wait for 5 days for a response. If one is warranted. If no response, repeat. One message, wait 5 days.

Starting with the mobster event, they stopped responding to me, too, even when I was reporting a problem that probably only they can fix at their end. The in-game contact form didn’t work the same way it used to work – my messages just sat there in a bubble with no clue as to whether they were delivered or not. I think they were overwhelmed with much more serious crash issues on certain devices. They must be in better shape now – I got a canned response to a suggestion today, and when I had sent it I saw a received message as used to happen pre-Mobster. So you might try again now, they may have dug their way out of the logjam.

I got a clam offer as well but it’s different and may be one that showed up for others before. It’s called “Ticket to RIde” and is showing 3 days 23 hours in the taskbar.. “Buy $4.99 Worth of Clams, Get 10 Ticket Stubs and 20 Guitar Picks for Free!” If this is brand new, I imagine you may see this in one of your many games but if not and you would like the screenshot let me know and I will email it to you.
other than that, I got the warehouse and necklace factory put up, put people on tasks for Carl & Herberts new threads, and got some park rangers going so I can clear some gold bears. I have enough to grab the mud pit and port-potty but will wait until everything else is ready for the concert.

? You must be referring to Carl. It was a promo put on by TinyCo… waaaaaaaaaaaaaay last year. Winner on their Facebook page got immortalized into the game.

What is with the LP item drops?! Only Deadmau5 (premium character) drops them and you need those to unlock Carl and DJ Herbert and you need Carl to do a concert. So basically, this stage is garbage unless you use clams to buy Deadmau5. .

Is the hostel/tomik required for anything or can I skip it and use my glow sticks for phase 4 stuff?

The hostel was the biggest waste of my precious glosticks. I so regret getting it instead of using them for this phase. Belgard proved worthless in getting Alice. Definitely buyers remorse.

I only get pricey stuff if I really like them, unless absolutely needed for a main questline or in this event, for concerts. I did deplete my glowstick reserves for the hostel but don’t regret it because it’s a nice building and I like the character for my town. I didn’t assume Belgard would be very helpful in the Boot Pursuit, but turns out that he is. He has collected 3 pairs of boots so far. Usually I wait til the end for big nonessential purchases, but decided to splurge early just in case he could shorten the time needed to unlock Alice and am glad I risked it. But I wouldn’t say Belgard is essential, Peter has been collecting boots pretty well since early Tuesday (4 pairs so far) after a three-day dry spell.

Belgard helped me a lot with getting the boots, but I built the hostel as soon as it was available. I do think 4K glowsticks was too much though. For someone that has unlocked Alice or almost has enough boots at this point it’s probably not worth it to get him. I’d have rather spent fewer glowsticks but I’m glad I’m not waiting for boots anymore.
