WTD I have been trying so hard to catch GUDG I have no idea how long it takes for him to spawn can someone tell me? Please because I think he spawns once per day?

It was cute that I could “Perform a concert” to get tickets for Alice Cooper, but the next concert was Alice Cooper. So it was down to the bears.
Family Guy events: The Catch-22.
Obviously, can’t perform any encores while the next concert is on the roll, and since I’m behind, there won’t ever be any encores, as the growing queue of concerts will take precedence.
I’ll work to get Alice Cooper for my gf on her tablet, but the Google Play music isn’t available in Germany, where she lives now. “Thanks” GEMA (no evidence it’s them this time, but it’s usually them who spoil all the musical goods)

I love when I spend hours collecting picnic baskets, and more hours creating park rangers, to finally clear a golden bear and get. ..coins! !! WTD?!?

What the deuce? – I was only able to unlock DJ Herbert today, but not with enough time to do his Social Media task to do an encore performance before the planned update! I grind on the game daily but am finding it increasingly difficult to accomplish the tasks at hand to play one concert, let alone encores. With glowsticks hard to earn in any real quantity outside of concerts (from what I’ve read) it has been frustrating. First earning 4000 to build the school and unlock one of the twins, and then needing another 3500 (+) for Carl and the mudpit…
What the deuce? – I just passed 2,000,000 coins… Has TinyCo looked into an exchange option for copious coin caches for event currency? Example – 250,000 coins for 250 glowsticks or 100,000 coins for 2 LPs?

What the deuce?….. Tiny Co has now been in “testing” for clam TV for months on end and still only a select few can get it but I feel this is really unfair to the rest of us, folks are reporting 6-8 clams per day with clam TV, that adds up to over 180 clams a month! No doubt these are the folks slam dunking every leader board prize! …. While the rest of us pay hard earned money for clams and can’t even collect a clam a day from Ollie land! Mine has not collected a clam in over a week now, despite visiting every friend on my list daily. Have emailed tiny Co in game, but never can get a response out of them on it. Anyway, WTD!

Ha ha- I’m one of the lucky ones, have had clam TV since the middle of the mobster event except when it was down for a couple of weeks. It’s very nice, but not such a bonanza of clams that we can go wild with them. And of course we never know when clam TV will vanish with an update or at the whim of the Tiny Gods. Still takes me quite a while to save them up to actually buy something I want. So far, I have been able to get Mr. Miyagi (I was short by about 5 clams when clam TV miraculously appeared and gave me enough by the end of the event) and Chip Griffin’s adorably tiny house and Snoop Dogg, who wiped me out for a while. I probably won’t have enough to get another premium character or building for a while. I would like to save up for Cleveland, but he’ll probably vanish from the store before I manage to to save 400 clams. Otherwise I faithfully visit Ollieland every day to pick up about five clams a week and sometimes get clams from completing collections or rewards for completing an occasional quest line or as a gift from the Tiny Gods. That actually does add up, too, slowly but surely.
I haven’t used clams to speed things up or to buy stuff to help in an event. I wanted Mr. Miyagi and Snoop just to walk around in my game, neither of them really helped collect materials for me and they weren’t necessary for that purpose. Chip’s house helped with balloons but still wasn’t essential. I’ve found that the main questlines are all quite doable without such help, if you’re patient and persistent.
I hope they get all the bugs out and can offer clam TV to everybody. It’s a way to financially support the Tiny Gods without spending real money, and I like the commercials they show. It’s quite a morale booster. And it does give us cheapskates a chance to get a few crumbs from the clam-buyers table and pretend we’re premium players briefly. But it’s not such a windfall that it will reduce their profits, which actually come from the true whales rather than the occasional clam-buyers. People who have hundreds or thousands of dollars in their monthly entertainment budget won’t bother getting a few clams from watching commercials, which would be a tiny fraction of the clams they usually buy.

WHAT THE DEUCE – it’s taking forever to get the LP’s to unlock Herbert. I keep getting coins. Way too much time wasted.
WHAT THE DEUCE – tomorrow is my 21st wedding anniversary. The plans are to go to the happiest place on earth. The weather is not cooperating. It’s going to be miserably hot and rain.

I am actually enjoying this event, and the only WTDs I have are: A. The high cost of Belgard, and the clam cost of tomik, and B. the high amount of tickets and records for dj Herbert. Because of B, I will most likely be behind when phase 5 hits. However, I did successfully complete the true fan challenge, even though I am a freemium player and have never spent any money on clams in my life.

All excited I won the top prize because I REALLY needed those glow sticks. Then I start Starbright Peter quest and it wants me to spend over half of them on a roller rink. Say what?!? PASS!!
Day one player and I’ve never purchased any of the event currency producing items because in the end I always had tons of currency left over. Unless something changes drastically this is the first event where I feel I’m scratching and clawing for currency with very poor character task payout. Not to mention performing concerts actually cost you more glow sticks than they pay out. Basic math doesn’t seem to be TC bailiwick.

WTD… I wish TinyCo would bring clam TV back, even if only for more advanced players (like level 40 and up). I know it’s old and forgotten and only certain people get it, but still, It would be nice to have a way to earn clams other than the 1-5 a week from Ollieland/friends.
WTD… Cancel task button, PLSS. Also, I still fancy the idea of a task queue similar to the one in the Sims game (So you can line a task up to start immediately when the previous task is finished). It would return precious hours lost while sleeping or busy.
WTD…I’m really hoping to see a purpose for makeover meg and rapper Brian later in the event. So far they have proven useless, but fashionable.
WTD… I really hope I don’t get grouped with whales in the next leaderboard. It would be nice to be on top for once.

I’m not sure TinyCo read their facebook page posts and I really need to say this.
I HATE in a disproportionate way the Hiring process. It’s beyond stupid!! 4 hrs to create baskets.. 3 more hours to hire people, that’s 7 hours. Then NOT getting a @&#% Record?!?!?! Come On!!! Events are limited time by themselves!!! why making drops a random result for such a loooooooooong process?!! It’s because stuff like this, that I truly believe that Events are no longer what they used to. There is something… something TinyCo decided this year about Events, making them more difficult, in an unfair way, but WHY?!!?! What Happened? I used too look forward for events, now I’m just disappointed and tired. Techniques are looooong, amounts of needed stuff are disproportionate, droprates are poor, -now they included two more tasks to get leopard platforms, really guys?? couldn’t they just listen players since the beginning???
The Mob Event killed my love for the game, PeterPalooza buried it.

I went to play and noticed that 2000 glow sticks were gone! I unlocked Carl yesterday and didn’t see anything missing. But today they just disappeared. I’ve contacted TinyCo to see, but I have a bad feeling they’re not going to do anything about. I was saving those for Belgard in the hostel. Has this happened to anyone else?

WTD@ only 3 characters able to acquire Baskets to get Rangers to get items for DJ Herbert. That number is way too low to keep up with you needing up to 3 to get rid of Bears and it takes 4 hours to get Baskets. Before having to unlock DJ Herbert and Carl I had a good stockpile of Ranchers, but its now down to nothing. How does TinyCo expect freemium players to unlock DJ Herbert before the next Phase when the timing to replenish Rangers is off by and hour? I still need 6 Records and 18 Tickets to get DJ Herbert and the math doesn’t add up especially when they aren’t sure drops.
I know TinyCo has a way through Clams, but even that doesn’t help because you get 1 Basket every 12 hours making the building not too helpful.
What TinyCo needs to do is give as many ways to get Baskets as Honey,
which I currently have over 100 stockpiled. DJ Brian and Makeover Meg aren’t being used for anything and could be used to gain Baskets.

And to make matters worse they rolled out a “True Fan Challenge” which is now making me spend all my time clearing brown bears and bee girls. I know it’s my choice as to whether or not I should pursue this quest line but when you’re a rabid player how can you just ignore it?

Just like I thought the math for getting Rangers doesn’t add up. I still need 10 Tickets and 1 Record to get DJ Herbert, which is nowhere near enough time before the next Phase begins locking him out. TinyCo made him way too expensive. The only way I can get him is to leave my game on, so Phase 5 can’t load.

Just don’t do his concert until you’re ready for Phase 5, if that’s the end of the main questline. You get bumped automatically into the next phase once you’ve completed the main questline. You also can avoid completing the next to last part of the questline (if you’ve already done the concert, it will be checked off). Then complete the last task in that part when you’re ready.

ok so what’s the deal with tinyco? im having a major issue with purchasing clams and its been goin on for a few weeks now. i have sent maybe 3-5 messages asking them to help me out and i have yet to get a response. i know they are busy over there but when i need clams and can’t get them, something needs to happen.

I’m on my iPad mini, iOS 8.4. When I purchase clams, it says I got them but they aren’t added nor is my iTunes account charged. I managed to have tinyco add the clams with proof of purchase but it’s not even giving me an email stating I purchased the clams. I wanna be able to get deadmau5 and Carl and the new Herbert skin before I cant

I first wanna say congrats to Carl for being made into a fgtqfs character. With that said, why the frak is he in this event? He should have gotten a separate mini event so people could choose if they want him or not. I for one do not want a random person in my game, especially one that will never be used again. But instead he is the MAIN REQUIREMENT to move on. Are you kidding me. I want real Carl, not random frosted hair dude. WTD

Makeover Meg and Rapper Brian are USELESS, USELESS! they haven’t contributed anything. For tough to unlock timed characters they should drop something, anything. Instead they give one or two glow sticks at a time. WTD
Kiss, Kool-aid man, goth Chris, and Satan all have rock out tasks yet are in my storage. Connie literally does toad as a task. CJ Brown has a tuba, Pawtucket Pat and Picard play flutes, Hayley drums….yet unused.
Skank Lois is a groupie on the show. Too bad its “too much work” per TinyMatt to make happen. Guess its too hard to open my wallet to buy clams….. WTD

Per the reddit post Carl made, he’s really into music festivals so it makes a lot of sense to include him in this event. As a random dude that won a sweepstakes to be a character in the game, if he was’t required how many people do you think would try to unlock him? Probably very few. If you had won wouldn’t it be cooler to get a bit of game time with all players?
When the event is over he’ll be just as useful as any other characters/skins from this or previous events, and even some of the district characters. I have way more characters sitting in inventory than are being used in the game, and a most of them took a lot of effort/time or had to spend clams to get. To me unlocking Carl is kind of like district 11 – none of the stuff or characters interested me at all but I knew if I want to see the next district I’d have to do it anyway. There’s been lots of stuff in the game like that, just needed briefly and will forever sit in my inventory.

So I bought Deadmau5 on day of release looking forward to downloading the album only to find that it is only available in the US and Canada, there was no notice of any limitation, the only reason I found out was after speaking to support. Now I’m not sure about in America but in the UK it’s kinda illegal to advertise a free album with a purchase then putting a limitation that isn’t made clear before point of purchase. If I’d known I never would have bought him

The pop ups stated there was restrictions. Sorry. It is also in the Game FAQ. As it is also being offered by Google Play, those restrictions are set by them… so even in the Regions they list… there may be other restrictions they have.

I am not understanding how to get lighters for Herbert. ??? GUDA never dropped any lighters for me and now he doesn’t show up in my town anymore, since I completed the Catch Me If You Can Quest. The only other freemium option is concerts, but I cannot perform any because the stage is locked. The locked stage for the majority of this event, is frustrating me to no end. Grrrrrrrrr

Ya I am Bunny. I just can’t perform any concerts because it is taking me so dang long to get all the items needed to unlock the characters on stage. With each phase, when I finally get the character on stage unlocked, the next phase hits and the stage becomes unlocked again. I have only been able a to perform a total of 2 concerts this entire event, and no encores. 😦

Everyone’s says that as they are closed. Nothing more. As you are up against 30 other Players in the Leaderboard… it all depends on what YOUR group did in those last minutes. 4-7 days from close we will know where we ended up at. Patience. 😉

I’m not alone when I say I’m feeling cheated by GUDG. I’ve caught him 15 times like lots of others and didn’t get to keep him. TC did promise he would be coming and he did come, but not for us to keep. He is still dropping and I got a ticket this last time I tapped him. Maybe TC will award him to those that completed his quest at the end of the event.

Tapped GUDG for the 15th time and got 20 glowsticks and he has not dropped a single lighter. Gold bears aren’t spawning as often, not that it matters much with the amount of time required to get rangers. These events are becoming more and more money grabs.

WTD… Alice Coopers Boots. I only have 4 after a couple of weeks. There is no way I am unlocking him at this rate. Why isn’t the boot shop dropping them? The mafia event really pushed me to nearly giving up on this game with the tubas and now they are doing the same thing again.

It is truly sad that I got all the items for the blond guy, and his shirts hardly drop, in time that alice boots dropped ONCE. Now i have only 5 pair of those boots. This isn`t fun. It`s stupid.

WTD… is up with tinyCo selection of characters that get involved in the events. Stewie is once again left on the bench as was Brian for much of this one. I hate to break their hearts, but there is more to Family Guy then Peter, Joe, Herbert, and Quigmire. Why isn’t Goth Chris having action that drop things? And forget how they handled Alice Cooper. Only one person is effectively dropping the boots! I love the game but ugh!

TC does this on purpose so new players aren’t penalized by not having the characters. Pretty much everyone else is one and done. Main reason I refuse to spend clams on event characters.

You say that but my friend just unlocked district 3 a few weeks ago and he can’t go past phase 1 in the event because you need Joe in one of the tasks.

I’m a little annoyed that the hostel is 4000 glow sticks. When it first appeared at that price it didn’t irritate me because I figured it was just an option for players who wanted an additional character for their game/another character to earn objects to advance a quest line faster without actually being involved in it or needed (for example having another character that can drop tickets or something like that.) I don’t have a problem with that costing more–if you want to collect objects faster sometimes it costs you.
But now I see the hostel and characters are required for a quest line, so it is sort of annoying that they cost so much (and I assume you have to unlock the character on top of that cost.) Considering most tasks only drop a few glowsticks as it is, and not every character so far has multiple tasks that drop glowsticks, I just found the cost of it to be a little excessive if it’s required for a questline.

What questline is it required for? I already have the hostel and Belgard unlocked but outside of collecting boots for Alice, he hasn’t been needed again so far.

WTD Gold Bears are only spawning 1 every 8 hours and not always dropping a LP is just beyond a joke. I’ve got Carl and should have everything except LPs by tomorrow but have at least 3 days to get the LPs if they did drop every time.

Still seeing the same in my game. I kind of cringe when I see that a premium character or building helps with an item needed to unlock another character. It seems that often means the item will be hard to get otherwise. No doubt that’s done to push people towards the premium.

WTD indeed. Takes 4 hours to get three picnic baskets from the three characters on the job for a freemium player. Then another 3 hours minimum to train the three beekeepers. So after 7 hours, you clear a gold bear and it pops out a coin!!! Bummer.
There are about three chances per day max for an LP this way for freemium players. Even if an LP is produced every other attempt, that’s 1.5 LPs per day on the average or 7×1.5 = 10.5 LPs max from start of phase 4 thru start of phase 5 if they launch the next phase on Thursday 3pm Pacific time (for people who actually managed to collect enough boots by phase 4 launch). Carl and Herbert, needed for the main questline and so most likely needed to start phase 5 (every other phase has required completion of the main questline) need 6 LPs for Carl and 12 LPs for Herbert, or a total of 18 LPs. Meaning even if you don’t miss a single opportunity to collect an LP, it will take 18/1.5 = 12 days to collect what you need and freemium players can’t start phase 5 (presumably launched Thursday September 3) until Tuesday September 8 at the earliest. Unless there areLPs needed for anything else that I’ve missed, then it’s WTD x 2.
The event ends Thursday September 17. If phase 5 is the last phase, then freemium players are probably okay even if seriously delayed entering both phase 4 and phase 5. But if the Tiny gods are planning a phase 6 to launch on Thursday September 10 – ruh roh. However, at least there is no pressure to complete a final questline in a final hypothetical phase 6 since we have nowhere else to go. But still – WTD?

I have 4 people dropping baskets so averaging 1 per hour and SIMULTANIOUSLY making enough rangers for a gold bear every 3 hours. You gotta count the over lap. Even at dropping 3 baskets every 4 hours, you should have an almost constant supply of rangers.

This is exactly the issue that I have. Now that I am out of picnic baskets it takes hours to have a CHANCE at an LP. These kind of things should be always drops otherwise it wastes 7 hours and given that you need several for Carl and Herbert as well as needing concert tickets from brown bears it makes it really tough.
To get enough items and glow sticks to progress well you really need concerts buts it is so hard to get to that stage in time without spending lots of clams.
I wish they would stop spending so much money on celebs and focus on FG characters so we can enjoy the game again. Way too stressful from Star Trek onwards.

It doesn’t take 4 hours _plus_ 3 hours – the next batch of picnic baskets can be collected at the same time as training the rangers. Even freemium players can stockpile picnic baskets faster than they will be used.
What you _will_ have to do is take out one or two brown bears whilst waiting for the next honey bear to appear
Once all the tickets are dropped by the deaf guy and brown bears for Herbert _then_ there may be thumb-twiddling for the honey bears for the last few LPs – but until then the game plays efficiently and you only need to log in once every four hours.
In my game I have 36 rangers left to train (9×2 for tickets, 6×3 for LPs) – so knocking off a few for sleep and non-dropping LPs call that two days – completed Wednesday morning or afternoon. A day-and-a-half left for a chance at an encore.
What is wrong with that? Why want everything to be completed by Sunday? You want something to do through Thursday!

(Oops, sorry. Mistake with my sums. You _can’t_ stockpile picnic baskets quicker than you use them – only three every four hours. Still, most of us have a stockpile from last week as we were concentrating on continually training bee-keepers rather than rangers. So that stockpile is what is easily carrying us forward without waits.)

WTD…just found Greased Up Deaf Guy for the fifteenth time and received eight glow sticks and a “good job.” Thought there might be something more exciting than that at the end. Well, hopefully he’ll still show up every once in awhile, so I can still get lighters or extra tickets for DJ Herbert.

WTD….all I keep getting are coins from those stupid toads. I need glowsticks! Used all the glowsticks I had to get Belgard and now I’m at 1700 for Carl and I still have to get the Porta Potties and mud pit…..phooey!

WTD – having to unlock 2 characters (Carl & DJ Herbert) and perform associated concerts for the Phase 4 main quest line in a week period. No way I can do it all by Thursday. I know you technically don’t “need” to complete a phase per week but the game is designed for that pace if you want to complete it all in time.
I too miss the good ole days of not stressing about the game. Comic Con event was busy but each event is becoming more overwhelming.

I think part of the stress is not knowing what’s coming up, that can help in realizing we can be late entering a phase and still get pretty far or even to the end in the main quests (I don’t focus on side quests). TinyCo doesn’t have to spill all the beans, just give us a list of phases (don’t even have to reveal new characters, just numbers are fine), approximately when each phase will be available, and the requirements for entering the phase (such as “complete through part X of the main questline”). They give this info eventually for each phase in the in-game faq, but they wait until the new phase is live- this is too late for people wanting to stay in an earlier phase a little longer and still leaves us wondering about the rest of the event. This site is great for getting details on the phases as they appear, but people should be able to play the game without stress just from in-game info.

Ok, this morning i caught my final greased up deaf guy. I was expecting something for having to pray that he poped up every day.
What actiall happen? Well, Clevland just says that GUDG sliped away?!?! Come on, after all that and all we get are glowsticks

So we spend all this time catching greased up deaf guy 15 times expecting something big to happen…. And we get nothing. Zip, zilch. We get a Cleveland dialogue that says he got away and Cleveland was splashed by water. What a let down!!!

You know what really grinds my gears? Oh sorry.. wrong character … WTD?!?! 😉
When I don’t realize I am just about to finish a sidetask and I send a character on a 1 day task, only to find I need that character after I complete the aforementioned side task.

A week ago I’ve tried my luck with the Festival Mystery Box. When I won my price, Consuele popped up saying I have an server error. My price wasn’t paid out, but I lost 100 clams with it.
I’ve contacted Tinyco twice, but I’m still waiting for an anwer. I have always bought a lot of clams, but now they have lost a good customer.
Still enjoy The Quest For Stuff, but I will not spend any more money on this game…

So just cleared greased up deaf guy for the 15 time and got what appeared to be a concert ticket and some glow sticks nothing else WTD. So much effort and I didn’t even get to keep him!!

I am so tired of the Golden Bear spawn rate…it takes 3 characters 4 hours each to make picnic baskets. Then I wait 3 hours for 3 Rangers. Then I go look for a Bear. No bear. Wait …wait…wait…4hours..6 hours…8 hours…finally a Golden Bear. I go and get it….what do I get? A record that I need to get for 2 different characters with no other way to get it without paying cash? NO. A coin. I’m out….this event is over for me….I pay money when I feel its close and I can get anything if I pop in every 2 or 4 hours. Enough dedication and I can get it free. When it’s made impossible to get…and the only other option costs 19,99…..that’s a blatant money grab. Not interested. I will check back next event and see if its changed.
