Hey there Music Fans!
Phase 4 is now in our games and we have TWO Musicians battling it out for a Concert on the Stage. With all these additional Musicians and the Requirements they have, it can be difficult to know what to look forward to. Here to help as usual and to answer the question…
What additional requirements are there to Perform Concerts so I can get access to the Concert Stage?
In this post I will go over the Phase 4 Basics of the Concert Stage Area and what you can do to help give your game a boost in Materials with Encores and Concerts.
CONCERT STAGE
The Hulu Hoop Girls are now out dancing around on the Stage Platforms. Kids on their smart devices are still busy tapping away.
In order to start a Concert, you will need a Musician. In Phase 4, that Musician is actually two. Rockstar Peter and DJ Herbert. So you will want to focus on unlocking them so you can gain access to the Stage.
Concerts are a good source of Materials for the game, so get to them as soon as you can.
HOW DO I START A CONCERT?
For Phase 4, when you first tap on the Stage it will tell you WHAT Rockstar Peter will want in order to Perform.
Here is the list of items you will need for Rockstar Peter(scrolling left and right will show them all). Tapping on “GO” under any of them will take you directly to the item.
Rockstar Peter’s Concert Requires
- Build a Port-o-potty:
100 Glowsticks & 
40 Skull Guitar Picks - Build a Mud Pit:
1000 Glowsticks - Unlock Carl:
2500 Glowsticks, 
10 Concert Tickets (Common),
6 LPs (Common), 
11 Headphones (Uncommon) - Have Carl Jump Dance (6hrs)
- Have Carl Put on a Light Show (8hrs)
As you collect each of these items, they will show a check mark that you got them and darken out. The “COMPLETED” portion will also show the change in % done. You will also see it tells you “NOT READY”.
Once you get all the items, it will then show “COMPLETED” 100%, and the Button in the middle will change to “START CONCERT”. Tap on it.
Tapping on START CONCERT will take you to a 2nd screen. Here is where you will see the options of Musicians to select from. Just Rockstar Peter is available at this time. You can CANCEL the choice or go ahead and tap on “START CONCERT” to let Rockstar Peter begin to play.
You will now see the Female Fans start to ***Poof*** on your Quahog streets while Rockstar Peter starts to Perform on Stage. Fans will drop items like Glowsticks, Coins, and Stars. You will want to get as many as you can as fast as you can. You have 2 minutes to tap on as many as you can. They will spawn in a large group and respawn not much longer after you clear the prior batch. So… move fast.
If you tap on the Concert Stage, you will see Rockstar Peter’s Concert is out of 100 Stars.
When the time runs out, you will be shown how many Stars you got and what payout you received.
Rockstar Peter Concert: I got 100/100 Stars in the 2 minutes and my Payout was…
- 150 Glowsticks
- 10 Lighters
SECOND MUSICIAN CONCERT
In the past you would jump into an Encore Concert as soon as you cleared the Musician… However for Phase 4 the difficulty level does increase and a second Musician takes the Concert Stage. This time it is DJ Herbert. Let’s go through the Basics for him now. Tap again on the Stage to see DJ Herbert’s Requirements.
DJ Herbert’s Concert Requires
- Unlock DJ Herbert:
28 Concert Tickets (Common),
41 Classic Boy’s Life Magazines (Common),
10 Lighters (Common), 
12 LPs (Common) - Build Sweetbottom’s Candy Necklace Factory:
750 Glowsticks - Have DJ Herbert Discuss Social Media (10hrs)
- Craft Abandoned Warehouse Rave:
300 Glowsticks,
30 Skull Guitar Picks

HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE FOR THE CONCERTS?
2 minutes. You will see the timer over the Event Stage above the Musician. You can also see it by tapping on the Stage. This starts the second you tap on “START CONCERT”, so move quickly to your road once you do.
HOW/WHERE DO THE FANS SPAWN?
For me, the Female Fans spawned in a HUGE group of like 15-20 at a time on my Quahog Streets. I cleared them as fast as I could. Another 15-20 or so Spawned around 30-60secs later.
This is where having roads in locations you can clearly see is good as you want to tap as many as you can in the 2 minutes time frame. The more the better. Also it is a good idea to not have any other Characters on the roads for “accidental” tapping.
Tapping on them paid out 1-2 Stars each and +1 Glowsticks. (Once you MAX out the Star Requirement, they drop Coins instead.)
Note: If you do NOT clear them all and miss some, they will still wander your town after the Concert. You can still clear them for some more +1 Glowsticks and Coins.
ENCORE CONCERTS
Once you get both Rockstar Peter’s & DJ Herbert’s Concerts out of the way, you have the ability now to run unlimited amounts of Encore Concerts. At this point you will have access for up to Eight Musicians (depending on who you own). DJ Herbert, Deadmau5, Snoop Dogg, Avril Lavigne, Rockstar Peter, Joe Lion, Rapper Brian, and Alice Cooper.
Encore Concerts will be a lil bit harder to get all 5 stars as they will have higher Star requirement to reach, but it is still a great way to earn Glowsticks.
HOW DO I START AN ENCORE CONCERT?
Similar to a Regular Concert, you will have to complete items in order to have the Musicians be able to perform.
For the Encore Concerts after the initial Rockstar Peter and DJ Herbert Concerts, I saw similar tasks. Tap on the Concert Stage to see what tasks YOUR game requires you to fulfill for the Encores.
Here is how they played out in my game…
1st-3rd Encore Concert Requirements
- Clear Honey Gold Bear (Requires 3 Park Rangers, 3hrs Each To Train, 4hrs Each Per Picnic Basket)
- Have DJ Herbert Discuss Social Media (10hrs)
- Have Joe Lion Grow White People Dreadlocks (12hrs)
- Have Alice Cooper Let School Out (10hrs)
Once you have all the Encore Task Requirements complete, you will see a similar scenario. The screen will show 100% Complete, all the tasks checked off and darkened, and the option to “START CONCERT” now highlighted. Tap on it.
The next few screens will look a little different. First you will be taken to the Performers in the game screen. It will show you how many you currently have available for the Encore and if they are Ready or Busy on another task. Tap “START CONCERT”.
Then you will be taken to select one of those available Musician you want to do the Encore Performance. (I did not see a difference in using either one.) Choose your Performer by tapping on them.
A check mark will show up next to the one you selected. You can now “START CONCERT”.
HOW MUCH TIME IS THE ENCORE CONCERT?
Same as the regular Concert, you will have 2 minutes to quickly tap as many Fans as you possibly can to gain Stars.
WHAT IS THE STAR AMOUNT FOR ENCORES?
In my game, it seemed they all had the same 120 Stars Requirements for all of the Encores I did, no matter who I used.
WHAT WAS THE PAYOUT FOR ENCORES?
For me, I was able to get 5 Stars each and every time in the Encores. All of them paid out the same for me.
- 150 Glowsticks
- 2 Lighters
WHY CAN’T I SELECT A PERFORMER?
If you are not able to Select a Performer, it is a good chance they are Busy on another task in the game. For instance, I had Snoop on a task for his questline. Due to he was on the his task, the option to use him showed “Busy”. Tapping on “GO” under him took me to where he was on the task.
In the Select a Performer Screen, he was grayed out as well and you could not tap on him to place a check mark under him and use him to perform.
Side Note: This is my “hint” to getting MORE Stars if you want to try it. Essentially I left the last Spawn of Fans from the previous Concert, so I had 15 already roaming the streets before the Concert started. These were the CONCERT FANS from the previous one. Do not mistake them for the Regular spawning Female Fans. Those will not work.
The payouts each Concert are already fairly generous as is, so this may not really be worth it… but just wanted to put it out there. Just in case it does come in handy later down the line in the Event. 🙂

Family Guy Addicts 
Getting pretty annoyed trying to unlock DJ Herbert. I read this guide so sometimes I try to buy items in advance. Well, I made the mistake of reading ahead and seeing I’d need the top 40 booth for his quest line, got it, and now I’m finding it impossible to get him lighters. Makes no sense to me because it seems the way to get lighters is concerts, but I’m at the point now where I can’t use the concert stage until I have DJ Herbert! Talk about a double-edged sword. I’ve been tapping Greased Up Deaf guy for days, and he’s only giving me tickets, of which I already have more than enough. Frustrating. Can’t make any sense of it and it’s impeding all progress of the game.
Any tips?

They’re for a side questline. If you read the main Phase 4 post… you’d see we warned to NOT buy it. Those were meant for Herbert. Now… slow trickle to get them a “fail safe” way. Sorry.

Nope. Always has been Common from launch of the Phase.

TinyCo support where are you?!? Two weeks ago I sent them an ingame message about an incident with the spawn rate of girls when doing concerts. I start concert, have to wait about 15 seconds before they show up. Proceed to clear them all then have to wait another 15-20 seconds for more to show. By the time the concert ends not enough have appeared to win the top prize and since being reported, no reply. Just did DJ Herbert concert, same issue, another message sent. Very low confidence it will be addressed.

Very interesting. I JUST did one for the A Rising Star one and for it… plus all the other 10 I have done now (Peter’s, DJ Herberts, Encores) I always end up with extras. Mine spawn around the same way too. A few seconds in… ***poof***… clear them and wait ***poof***… final 15-30 seconds ***poof***. It has been that way since this Event started for me. From the very first Concert. I keep the road to a small section and send everyone but one musician on a task just before and it makes it go easier. If I have anyone on the road, I accidentally tap them and it delays me.

So once a new phase is rolled out, you are unable to hold encores until you have unlocked all the characters and had them perform?

That is pretty standard so far… will have to wait and see what next Phase drops though to see how it handles. 🙂

I am having a hard time with the glowsticks. I used a lot of them to unlock Carl. I only need to purchase the pig in mud @ 1000 glowsticks but I have been trying to unlock Belgard for a long time now. I like the foreigners from the show so much that I used clams for Tomik. Can you give me some advice? What is more important, the concert or saving up for Belgard? If I do the concert will I have time to save up for the hostel and Belgard. I’m sure phase 5 is right around the corner demanding a ton more glowsticks. Suggestions?

I would say the Concert as you need access to the Stage to get supplies like lighters to continue on in the Phase. Belgard is like a side option.

Pay outs not that great for encores.
Does it ever get better than 2 lighters and 150 glow sticks?
If it’s not better then best time to wrap up open ended questlines.

I am on the part where I can do a concert but I haven’t started it yet because when the leaderboard starts again Tinyco told me you get more awards for do concerts then for doing encores? What do you think? Do u think I should do the concerts or wait till the new leaderboard starts? I have unlocked all the characters so far. Just finished unlocking Herbert’s outfit

Honestly… that is really up to you. I do not know payouts, requirements, etc until they go live… so I can’t offer verification for something that does not exist yet. Sorry.
If you feel it is best to wait… then wait. 😉

Used my free clams to get Alice last week and got 2 encores before Carl so I had some resources built up. Am now a few records and tix away from Herbert. I got 15 GUDGs this weekend and did notice he returned this morning. I’m not too concerned with the next musician as Alice was the marquee for me.

This is weird because my concerts are 24 hrs and I have 24 hrs too collect 100 stars and something just random happend , 1500 glow sticks pop up after taping a few random buildings

Now that I have unlocked Alice Cooper and have moved into phase 4 I feel like I can breathe lol. I only lack one more record for Carl. I have no idea how long after that it will take to unlock DJ Herbert, but I am not gonna stress like I did over Alice Cooper. I’m just going to relax and if another leaderboard shows up, I will probably ignore it. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Being mainly a fremium player, it’s going to take me the better part of a week to finish up with DJ Herbert. I need another 8 records and 11 tickets. Only using honey/regular bears to get them. Can’t really rely on GDFG for tickets. Doesn’t appear enough. I hope I don’t need to be past this part to move forward. Anyone know?

I wouldn’t stress on it. GUDG was just added as a fail safe. Just focus on unlocking Carl, then DJ Herbert. 😉

I don’t think many people will get beyond one encore in this phase. Payouts are poor this time though anyway… would be nice if concerts gave a few concert tickets.

Thanks for the post as always Bunny. Sorry if this has been addressed before but I have a question about the trick with leaving some of the Female Fans spawning the streets after a concert. How do we distinguish them from the Regular Female Fans? I am mainly playing on my phone, not a bigger screen like a tablet. Anyhow, I have to, absolutely must keep clicking on the Regular Female Fans because I desperately need the glow sticks! Still trying to save enough to unlock Carl. Is there an obvious way to tell the difference between the two types of Female Fans by their appearance/dress or am I just blind?

There really isn’t a way to distinguish. It was mainly more for those that could do another concert soon after. Otherwise… it may be in the best interest to just tap them and get the +1 Glowstick.

I know that you just posted your survey on things, but I wonder how many people have been able to keep up with the new week. I know myself I’m stuck boots for Alice Cooper still, halfway through the new week, despite using both Peter and Belgard, trying not to have to spend clams for this. Am I really behind or are others kinda stuck at the same place?

From what I am seeing, everyone is generally progressing at the same pace. Keep in mind that things are not supposed to unlock overnight. Most will carry you through that particular Phase. I know on Alice it tripped people up, but I am seeing people start to get back in sync. Many are just starting to unlock Carl or getting close. So 4 days into a Phase seems about right to start to see that kind of progress. Then I would assume the majority will have Herbert just before Phase 5… all we can do is wait and see. 😉

The collection numbers may be a bit too high if they’re going to add a musician to unlock every Thursday. I never was able to hold a concert last week as I unlocked Alice on Friday. I may actually unlock Carl this evening though so that is a bit better. Well, I might unlock him if I can get ingame… Having issues at the moment I guess
