Hello There Clammers!
Well I take a night off to celebrate my cousin’s wedding and TinyCo decides to blow up the game! What the hell?! Oh wait wrong post… 😉
So looks like with all of the craziness of the failure to launch last night…things are finally starting to get under control. I know many of you are still locked out, but hopefully all will be restored soon.
Now that things are restored in some places we can get a look at what TinyCo had in mind for this weekend. Looks like the new item of the week(end) is Pesticide Mystery Boxes…
More details will be below the fold, but basically these are designed (as you can guess) to get you more pesticides to help you defeat Giant Stewie. However, they cost clams (95 clams each box) and in my own opinion…NOT WORTH IT. Save your clams! At least for now. If if gets to the last days of the event and you’re just shy of getting George (or another prize you really want) then it might be worth the investment.
So here are the details…
In your shopping cart you’ll see the Rupert Triplets…each holding a Mystery Box.
Each box contains one of the colors of pesticides you’ll need to beat Giant Stewie. Each box is guaranteed to yield 6, 9 or 12 pesticides of that color:
So for 95 clams you can buy pesticides to help you defeat Stewie faster. And so far those are the details of the weekend event that stopped Quahog. I’m sure there was more planned (at least based on the description from the app stores)…
I guess maybe the bombs blew up Quahog? 😉
Anyway…we’ll be back with more, if there is more. So what do YOU think of the update? Will you be buying boxes? Or taking your chances building up the pesticides from character tasks and zapping Stewies? Have you gotten back into your game yet? As this is my first post I would like to say a big thank you for this Page and another to bunny and the rest of the admins. Love your work.
I have been playing since the hobo peter event ended and a reader here for a while. Also a freemium player for the challenge.
Few little questions that have been bugging me and I apologise in advance if they have been answered already. I read most of the comments on each Page but not 100%
1) Has anyone worked out the actual odds on quest/ character items? If always is 100% what are common, uncommon, rare, very rare and epic?
I always think rare will become tedious but then I get surprised by the amount I see them.
I get that epic is just diabolical and have annoyed everyone. Myself and my wife included ( I thanked god when she got the last eyeball and headband :p) . Really hoping they won’t use these in timed quests.
2) How much blam do I need a day to hit the magic number realistically? I saw your calender on a previous post but the big factor forgotten is as the event goes along new characters, costumes and buildings mean less effort towards the end I would think? Any thoughts or ideas would be great.
3) What’s with the wicked glitch? Is it an in house joke or a real thing?
4) I somehow managed to miss gold peter along with hobo peter. Any word on whether we will ever get a second shot at them?

The odds, well they vary. They even change the more you do the task and the item does NOT drop. They get better in your favor. The exact #, TinyCo still keeps tight lipped on.
The number is quite impossible to determine as it will have MANY factors. How many Blam! earning characters you have, what buildings you have, what extras you bought with clams, how many times you level up Giant Stewie…just too hard to say a specific one. The Calendar is the best guide we can provide. It averages about 2200 to 2800 Blam! daily. So some days you may get more…some less. It all is in how YOU play the game.
The glitch that happened during the new update launch? THAT was very real.
Gold Peter I believe is still in iOS. Hobo, I do not know when Pee Pants Peter will return.

Well that is disappointing about hobo peter and now I am going to have to lower myself to using an apple device just to get it? I can see my Facebook friends in game visiting their towns. This confirms my game is saved should I ever have to uninstall?

What Bunny said holds true, about 2.5k is the magic daily number you should be aiming for if you want to hit 100k. I stayed mostly freemium for the first 14-15 days of the event, and while I was getting lucky with drops and such to finish costumes/chars, I was still behind about 7-10k… That was with chars doin their fastest blam earning tasks and owning the blam truck. It wasn’t until giant Stewie popped up that I started catching up, and eventually bought Bryan Cranston.
If you REALLY want to almost guarantee hitting 100k, I’d suggest getting him as he gives all 3 sprays per 2 hour task. While it doesn’t sound like much, it helps immensely!
If you stay freemium, and I completely support that choice as BC is expensive, then I’d suggest shortest blam earning tasks, complete as many comic con (red box) related quests as fast as possible, and focus on getting sprays, blam earning chars/costumes, and any coin/blam buildings that drop items for the quests/chars/costumes.
Taking out giant Stewie as much as possible per day is the best source of daily blam, by far. Even the Sommiler (sp?) only gives you a realistic 500 blam daily…. Stewie should be able to give you 900 a day at worst…

Hi. I need to understand what I can do. I really want to get back and doing my quests for the new com a con convention. But it is still not letting me play. It pops up either Rupert or the guy with the pizza and it freezes and shots off. Please I like this game a lot. It is fun and so much to do.

Are you linked to a FB or an email account? If so, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app…then log back in to the saved account.

Wait! I just realized something I do not have a timer for the #2 car because I don’t think I’m at that spot in the quest yet. I’m kind of busy doing other stuff. is that timer locked to this weekend or is it a timer that starts as soon as I get to that spot in the quest I don’t want to miss out on my chance to get the car.

Awesome. I was trying to be strategic and build up pesticides. I went ahead and triggered it anyway…so after using my hoard of bug spray, I have to get big stewie 2 more times in 3 days. Easy peezy. I probably should trigger quests when they pop up. I could have unlocked blobilous and Felicia before getting the quest to do so…that seems like asking for a glitch. Thanks for the info bunny. Oh, and do we know what what the 29 pesticide level gets you? Is it better to let it roll over? Or keep pumping that bonus? I am guessing it just gives the 25 again but it does not say.

I think once you hit the 29 requirement it’s best to let it roll over and start from the bottom. You’ll move through a lot faster 🙂

Arrrrgghh my nerds are invisible. I see the flash like they’re appearing but no nerds. I click on the area where they should be walking and hear them transport and get blam but have no idea how many missed invisinerds are wandering my streets. Anyone else experiencing this? I wrote to Tiny Co but no response yet! They must be selling Predator cloaking devices in the Comicon center now.

Could just be a texture glitch. Have you tried hard closing and restarting the game? If that doesn’t work try uninstall and reinstalling (only if you have an account to back it up) that might clear up the glitching file.

Nothing else that we can see…for now. Not sure if the originally planned items had the issues so they had to pull them back, or what the case was/is. Thankfully Giant Stewie and Felicia Day will keep us busy for a while!

So I have yet to see an ice cream sundae drop for me. I dont feel like stopping peter from doing his pesticide-gathering tasks to go overeat for the sundaes.
Would trying to get blobulus first be more rewarding over collecting sprays?

I had the green pesticide at 1x, then the yellow at the 3x, the red was at the 8x, 15x, and 25x. Now i have 29 green to get for the next round. And i now have Red Hot Lois. Just been playing since June when I got an iphone and my sister-in-law got me started. It is VERY ADDICTING!!! I haven’t even been playing my game on FB, as my time is now devoted to FGTQFS!!!

Soooooo…. Yeah. I almost had a complete nervous breakdown this morning when I uninstalled/ reinstalled the game only to see me back at level 1. I thought I was following the instructions but I misread them. (Why can’t randomly tapping angrily fix things?)
Anyhoo – I went on Facebook and a few of my fellow friends and neighbors were able to help me fix it. (I feel real dumb but the fact that it’s fixed trumps my previous frustration)
It was a bit dishearting to see that instead of giving us a little something (blam or clams) as an apology they reintroduced the pesticide boxes. These things were a bad deal before, and now they’re not much better. Plus there are still people out there locked out of their games. I hate to compare, but I’ve gotten donuts from TSTO for stuff that didn’t even affect my game. But, because there was enough problems with other players they gave them out.
FGQFS runs very high paced, limited edition events. And, I’m not complaing about not loving this one. I’ve put a lot of money on this event. I love my new characters, buildings, and outfits. But, the timing is very crucial to getting everything, especially to freemium players. So, a matter of even one day can mean the difference of getting something.
And thank you guys again for being the super brilliant sounding board for us to and TinyCo. And, thank you TinyCo for continually listening to all the feedback and taking action. I hope that everyone else is able to get back to their games soon. =)

My Vanquish Giant Stewie counter is now asking for 29 orange. I already went through and hit the 25X multiplier, should it be resetting at this point? According to your chart:
1X: 1 Orange
3X: 3 Green
8X: 7 Red
15X: 12 Orange
25X: 18 Orange
…there shouldn’t be a jump up to 29, should there?

They resets are all off. It will reset each defeat, once you hit the top you can keep going and get the 2500 over n over. Or you can let the time run out and NOT vanquish him again until it resets to 1X

I kinda prefer it not restarting but just getting a little harder to get a second 25x bonus. I built up my pesticides pretty good and I’m about to hit my 3rd one In a row. Gonna try to keep hitting those.

I bit and bought Bryan Cranston. His 2hr task pays off big time. I’ve gotten almost 10,000 extra blam from the giant mutant Stevie attack. Close to 40,000 total so I’m way less worried now that I won’t get George.

95 clams is a ripoff for 6, 9 or even 12.
You can do the 2 hour tasks and spend 4 clams autocompleting and then keep tapping to get the pesticides needed. You can get 24 bottles for 96 clams that way and so you get about 12 of each that way.
If it was 40 clams it may be worth doing.

Sorry if I’m misinterpreting previous posts, but I haven’t started blasting giant Stewie yet because I want to save up pesticides, like we did with King Butts jellyyo shots. My question is: when will the current car quest end? Can I wait all the way till Thursday to max out my pesticide collections, or will it possibly end sooner than that and I end up saving for nothing and miss out on the Blaze car? Thanks!

YOU will trigger the quest. It hits by no later than Enfant Terrible part 4, but can trigger prior to that. Once triggered, the time starts. So…use pesticides wisely. I suggest stay on the low multipliers, only defeating him a few times. Then let timer run out and reset. That way you only have to use a few pesticides to defeat him.

The timer on the Blaze Car Challenge is 3 days. So, assuming that the 3rd Car Challenge will trigger sometime on “Friday”, there probably isn’t much point in delaying it past Monday afternoon. Because then your timer should run out before the next Challenge begins.

Can we start a club for people who keep getting extra ham for Blobulous? 🙂 I have to say, I’m loving this new giant mutant Stewie. I let it reset so I could get the new car for a lot fewer pesticides and I ended up maxing him out as soon as the counter reset. Feels awesome to almost have enough for Lois’ new costume! As much as love me some Takei, I love superhero costumes more.

Ok, I’m a member! My theory about what happened is that they were about to introduce a new character that also required hams but because of the glitch they didn’t, and now we have an over-abundance of hams for Blobulous (*whispers* I’m sure he would enjoy the extra pork products anyway *wink*)

For the first act of the Extra Ham Club, we should petition TC that, when they fix this issue of the extra hams they also convert the extras into ice cream – that would be nice since I am currently at 16/10 hams and 0/10 ice cream sundaes.

Not worth it to me…. If I was going to spend clams for pesticides I’d just speed-finish Peter’s 2 hr task. You can basically get 24 pesticides for the same price (4 clams per speed-finish) PLUS some blam.

If anyone gets the msg to uninstall app to fix loading issue don’t ! I just did now my lvl 39 town is gone everything I unlocked from current event is gone as well. This is not a fix and they have now lost my support for the game.

I’d prefer free clams instead of an extension. I set my alarm every 2 hours last night to play Peter so I’d have enough pesticides to complete the goal. I guess that’s what I get for being a dedicated tapper…. Maybe they could have announced that last night?

I am enjoying this event, yes some things are just so expensive I am just not going to bother, however all the tasks so far have been do able. The pesticides seem easier to get and less needed. I got very frustrated with the jello shots.
I have just accepted that I cant get everything. Its a shame really as I (and I think most people) would pay to get some of the extra stuff if it was reasonable, but as its so much I am not bothering at all. But that’s my choice.
Although one complaint, I have had no stewies on my buildings today which has been annoying,

I got a REALLY strange glitch when I tried to update the other night. never seen this happen before but… Basically my game works fine, I just have a phantom app on my iPad. So basically I now have 2 Family Guy app icons but only one works. Did anyone else get this? I haven’t seen it mentioned in the comments.

Shocking- another money grab by TinyCo with the Rupert boxes… if it was possible to earn all the goal-oriented items with hard work and without money it wouldn’t be so bad. There are enough premium items out there to keep paying customers happy. But what about all the freemium players who can’t even complete an event because of ridiculous goals and expensive clams that are pretty much necessary to finish?
It’s like- hey guys, join our fun marathon!

Thoroughly irritated with the game now and I really wish I wasn’t. Every time I need to vanquish Stewie, it requires the red pesticides. I have plenty of the other colors saved up as red rarely drops for me. Thought I would be able to build up dome blame and win blaze when I got all the reds that I needed this last time, but no. Now I need 12 reds, ugh so mad. I could let the timer run out and start over tomorrow, but I don’t know if that would give me enough time to defeat him 3 more times to get blaze and I can’t afford to buy anymore clams for a long while. Is there anything you guys could recommend that I do to ensure I complete this task on time?

My suggestion is kind of what you already hinted on. Let it reset and see what the new batch brings. But…no guarantee it wont be more reds. Hard to say. Sorry.

Well even if you could get 12 reds now, the next goal would be 18x of another color, and then next would be another 18x. There’s more than a full day left, so let the timer run out- it will start back at 1, then go to 3, and 8, and then you’ll complete the task for the car.
That’s exactly what I’m doing. I need 12 reds for my 4th kill and actually have 12 reds now, but I don’t have enough of anything for the next 18x pesticides, so i’m playing it safe and letting the timer run out at midnight so i can start over. I’d rather miss out on the 1500 Blam bonus and get the car.

I’m in the same boat. Had quest for 12 reds, now I have a quest for 18 reds I have 20+ of the other two colors. Currently 7 of 18 and 12 hours left. Guess it will reset and I will have to start over. With these new boxes I see how they want to milk clams out of people to keep your streak going. I’m not going to fall for it.

I would have to say the same as Bunny. Let it reset. Even if its red again, you would have a whole day to get the 1 you need to vanquish Stewie and even if it appears again, it would be 3, so you would only need 4 red instead of the 12 you currently need and thats assuming you get red, which has a 33% of appearing.

Feel kinda dumb that I didnt just load up on pesticides like I did toward the end of the King Butt days cuz im 1 day 4 hrs away and I have to kill 3 more Giant Stewies especially with the hours I missed due to the error/glitch in the system. Im sure the count would increase each time too and I wont have nearly enough (so I figure).

Haven’t commented here for weeks, my g-damn job has virtually destroyed my me time, but I don’t think I ever did say thanks to Alissa, Bunny and now Cyber Silly for all their effort and work. So saying it now; thanks guys. I’ve only skirted through the comments and recent posts, but felt the need to pipe up over this latest dose of cash-grabbery and screw-uppery from TC.
I’ve said before, I can forgive a lot about this game. But now, after I spent £26.35 ($44.20) on the event, and WAS quite happy to do so I might add, here we are with a game that has majorly glitched, a cancelled part of the event, and an absolutely obscene 95 clams “prize” that could be only 6 spray cans. Like some of the posts I’ve read, I hit the 25x streak but nothing happened, now I have to get 29. And OF COURSE, it’s neither of the colours I’ve got saved up, it’s 29 red, of which I now have none since I’ve needed them for the last two attacks on mutant Stewie.
I was going to spend even more, to buy the outdoor screen because I still need three reels for Ron, and only have one cake for Felicia so was probably gonna buy more stuff, but hell no not now. I’m not even angry, just really really disappointed. I’ve loved the game so much but this has severely dented my enjoyment of it. And this is the first time I’ve ever seriously thought about just uninstalling it forever.
This isn’t a ragequit rant, up until now I have thought this event was absolutely fantastic but I mean – you play diligently (and obsessively), timing tasks for waking, work breaks, sneaky cigarette breaks which your employer doesn’t allow, spend £££ and plan to spend more, but they stack the deck against you and can’t even get their programming right. Mistakes happen, but constant glitches aren’t normal and when you’re taking money off people, you need to be delivering a decent product. I think that 95 clam thing was the tipping point.
Someone speak comfort to me, I haven’t even set my guys to do tasks before I go to bed. First time ever. 😦

Yes, the money thing is a new angle for all of us to see. But I am trying to see this game with a different set of eyes. It is unlike ANYTHING I have seen before in games. That I am grateful for. Is it perfect…no…still WAY to much in its baby stages to be. Will it ever be perfect…no…no game will ever be. It is impossible to please everyone.
So this is how I look at this game, the costs…this is their MAIN game. Unlike the other we write about (they have 100s to pick n chose from). So the money may need to cover a lot more with them then a similar game would with another game house. That being sad, yes the money is still hard to swallow…so I will do what I always do. Continually offer them my constructive criticisms and suggestions to make the game better. I get they need money, any business does. I do appreciate they are changing and adapting. Trying to cut the costs here and there from player response. Improving the game. Etc. I for one KNOW the other game I write for had a LOT of issues. Heck, Android was shut out for months with a major glitch not long after getting the game to that market.
My suggestion to you is this. Evaluate the game and what it gives to YOU. Does it make YOU happy? Do YOU enjoy it? Not all games are for every player, nor should they be. Everyone finds their own “happy spot”. If the game makes you want to invest, then do. If it does not, then don’t…but…also relay to them why. Talk to them. Access them right from your game and explain to them why you just can’t open the wallet. Even if you don’t get a response, they do read them all.
As players we can make a difference and have. Be honest, be open, be productive. Help them make it better for everyone.
Short story long, if you are happy…play. If not, it may not be for you…or if you are on the fence… try and make it a happy place again for you by initiating changes. Does that all make sense? Or am I just rambling on and talking to myself again. Lol. 😉

This may seem contrary to a previous post about spending money but i agree with you the amount of money they have been trying to get out of this event is starting to reach the “come on now really?” stage. I have been holding onto what clams i have left to wait on nathan. I so want many of the buildings that require clams as they are cool and would love to have them. Right now i just can’t see risk spending what i have left until i know what is coming. I can only imagine that the voice actors and probably rights to use Comic con logo and name. This was probably a very expensive event to put out and they are trying to reach the break even point. Or they could just be greedy capitalist trying to stick it to the little man.
I do hope they get more reasonable. I don’t like to think how much i have spent on this game but for sure the spending is coming to an end for now.
That is until they release something i have to have.

I thought I read that the 25x multiplier needed 18 pesticides..or is it 29? Or is it 18 for the first time and then it jumps to 29? Is there a list somewhere?
If the multiplier doesn’t rise, the amount of pesticides shouldn’t either…

Has any bodies game allowed you to collect more hams than are required for the Chris Super Costume? I’ve currently got 12/10? I can’t see where hams are required for another costume/character as I only have Chris and Day to do

I hate that to defeat Giant Stewie it only asks for one type of pesticide, the orange one, for every single round, I’m really annoyed right now, why put 3 different types of pesticide when they only ask for one? what am I suppossed to do with the rest? I feel like the game is taking advantage for me to buy one of those boxes, and seems more than a little unfair to me

Keep in mind he is here to stay the entire event. So each day those pesticides it asks for will change. They may not matter today, but may tomorrow.

it’s been like that for me since Giant Stewie appeared, only orange ones, it’s almost impossible to win the free car like that, since everyime I use the laser or Peter to get pesticide, I get different kinds that Giant Stewie has never asks for? it’s so not cool at all

oh I do get mixed pesticides as rewards, it’s giant Stewie the one that only asks for orange ones, it’s not been only today, it’s been like that since he came into to the game I already reached the 25x in the streak meter and it’s only attacking with orange pesticides, now it’s asking for ven more oranges, it’s very annoying, Giant Stewie should ask for different pesticides for each round or something not always the same color, it’s getting on my nerves, there’s no way I can get 18 orange pesticides, plus a new stricke (since you need five to get the car) that will most likely also be more orange ones in time. I get that the game is a business, but free players should at least get a shot in special events/challenges like the cars, otherwise this becomes a premuim players thing only, it’s not cool,

Everyone is different. Me…reds. Lol. It is all just on how he plays out. This is why we suggested to only play the lower two levels, let the timer reset, than do it again. Especially for the car. That way you only needed a few of the pesticide and not have to hit the higher levels til you have more of a stockpile. He will change. Trust me. You don’t like the options, wait 24 hours and let it reset to a new batch.

Do you guys think its wise to save up some pesticides instead of getting the max blam? There could allways be more challenges for the cars, and since giant Stewie will be here untill the end of the event, might aswell save up and only do the questlines, right? Or am i overlooking something?

YES. I feel that it is good to get a good stock pile going and just let it keep resetting the clock and only do the minimum you need like for the challenge car. Then, when you got a lot…MAX it out and get the full multipliers.

the game is no longer working on anybody’s phone.it will go on and then automatically shut off your phone immediately and reset it.please fix this we love the game

My game keeps shutting down I reopen it click of a few things and it shuts down it has been doing this for three days. I even deleted it and reloaded it but same thing.

Very frustrated, can’t get into my game. All it does is crash. How am I supposed to get it to work? My game isn’t linked to anything either. Tiny Co also needs to remember that there are people who dont have their games linked to anything too.

They do know that. That is why they are working on a gamewide patch.
In the meantime, if you do get access back to the game link it right away. Even if it is just an email. It’s like a computer, you need to back it up somewhere because a crash could take all the work you had.

I’ve got a few questions for you. My notification for FGQFS came on, and when I went in it stated there was another celebrity bringing me closer to Kevin Bacon…but there was nothing new. There is also a new Fabulous Four entry in my ComicCon with Stewie hatching an egg. Was this actually for Giant Stewie or something yet to come? Appreciate all of your help!!
