Phase 4 of Comic Con is upon us! Another celebrity has hit our towns and Stewie has changed yet again! App Store Update has hit!
More details are on the way…just as soon as we go through everything ourselves. But for now…as usual…Peter kicks things off for phase 4! (note you have to have completed the Enfant Terrible Part 6 questline for phase 4 to start for you)
Warning Mild Spoilers Ahead
First let’s cover the new stuff….
When you first start the update you’ll go through the tutorial for bombing Stewie’s minions…THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! And can only be stopped by Bombs. Peter kicks off this part in the questline called Bombs Away. Here’s the basic details (As always we’ll have a FULL rundown post of the details in the Stewie Bombs soon):
Once you go through the tutorial you’ll have to reload to enable the full bomb feature in Quahog.
You’ll have to hard close out of your game and go back in to trigger it to reload.
Various tasks will earn more bombs…or (of course) you can spend clams on them and buy more:

Is it just me or is anyone else trying to figure out why or how there are 5 vehicle challenges when there is only 4 of the Fabulous 4 unless they are counting super joe who is the android exclusive?
Oh and definitely kudos to tinyco I’m thoroughly enjoying this event at first I was worried about the week late start but now I’m no longer stressed out and just plain enjoying myself lol. I absolutely love the new minion stewie part there’s nothing better than blowing stuff up lol. Oh and less than 1000 blam until I get robuttasaurus lol.

This update is fantastic! In less than 24 hours, I have made over 8,000 Blam! and went from having 2 sundaes to having Blobulous and the Q hotel unlocked. It’s all thanks to Giant Mutant Stewie and his nasty little minions!

Idk know if you wanna post this Alissa but a tip for getting the tricycles and lots of minion stewie in only 1 bomb is to zoom in, then tap on any stewie that comes on screen. When you tap on minion stewie he will stay still for about 5 seconds and using this method I can get 10 or more in a single bomb

Really enjoying this, love bombing minions and you aren’t guaranteed to kill any on bomb drop so skill is needed.
Killed 242 today so almost at the 300 kills needed to get the bike, on quest number 6 to kill 50 I have 7 so tomorrow I should easily mop them up.
As for bomb buying I suggest doing the same as pesticides, use Stan Lee and his 2 hour comic book task. Start and stop right away and you can get bombs for 4 clams infact I sometimes got 2 bombs per 4 clam buy.
48 bombs cost 320 clams but this method gets them for 192 if he drops 1 but its more like 120 clams as he drops 2 a lot.

Hadn’t had a red tshirt guy drop one yet. Loving the bombing it’s really interesting to time and new gameplay u like tapped out Simpsons that more or less is very similiar all the time. Makes the blam so much faster to get too along with giant Stewie at 2.5k a day (I Always click him in the final minutes). No rush to get blam have weeks left 🙂 when I started the event I was thinking there’s no way il ever get near 100k… I just last 50k and it’s all thanks to stewies really for the huge boost. Il have 100k well before the event ends at this rate 🙂

Ever since the phase 3 update a latcher stewie had held quagmire hostage in the furry building. I can’t zap him because stewie doesn’t show but the building is purple.

Myself (and at least a few others complaining on the Facebook page) had our games completely wiped by the last update. It won’t even open. I emailed tinyco 22 hours ago when it happened and they said I didn’t have an account. I sent a screenshot of my google+ page showing the linked game and was told they’d pass it on to tech support. Not a word from them since. I’ve sent a couple more emails asking if they had any news but no response. I’m being ignored. Have you heard anything about this problem? It seems to me like all my progress (and money) is just gone.

I can understand your frustration, but please keep in mind that 22 hours is not that long ago. They get THOUSANDS of emails daily, sometimes hourly. They can only go through so many at a time. Give them a couple of days to get back to you. They will, just allow them the time they need to look into it.
In the meantime, it depends on the issue you are talking about. If you mean your game went back to Level 1…that is one thing that usually uninstall/reinstall and logging back in fixes (this is why linking to an email or FB is critical). We have a detailed post on that issue here on the site.
If you mean it reset and just the Comic Con is gone from the game, they ARE aware this impacted players and are working on a fix currently. Hang in there and they will get back to you to resolve it. It is something we have been going back and forth with them on.
The best thing to do on either issue is to contact them from the game menu itself. Then they are immediately linked to your game. Also, keep a screen shot of your Player ID number (Menu, Account Settings, LONG number on the bottom). THAT is how they ID your game.
Overall…patience. I know it is hard to have that kind of loss.

Nope, didn’t reset, or lose some data, I mean the whole thing is gone. When I click the icon I get the blue tinyco screen then it closes back to my desktop. I can’t get into the game at all so I can’t access the menu so I can’t contact them from the menu. I did back up my game to my google account but that too has been wiped. I installed the game on a friends device and tried to login via my account and it said no account found. It’s all gone. Meanwhile even if they can restore my account how will I get the next car challenge or have any hope of getting George Takei (which is why I paid money) when I’ll be so far behind. My account crashed before Stan Lee arrived, before any minions. I get that 24 hours isn’t that long, but when it looks like you’ve lost months of progress, just an email acknowledging the problem and telling me they’re working on it would be nice. I only posted here in case other people with this problem had any news they could share. It’s the silence that’s really frustrating. This is the only game I play and I really did love it.

I keep reading all the posts to see if anyone else is waiting to be able to log back in and all I’m reading is all the fun everyone having with the new update. Have you tried some basic troubleshooting? Memory issues usually cause lags. Things like TOO much in your town, Poor WiFi, too many apps running on your game, etc. Take a look and see if any changes are available that you can make to see if it helps. Like store animated or extra items from past events not in use.

Hi just a thankyou for all ya hard work and keeping me up to date. Buuuut Iv finally uninstalled my game ( been thinking about it for a while) after this latest event. Thought it was a genius move doing comic con and having the celebs but its just too much! Too much content, too many tasks using the same characters,too much clam based items and still a frigging lagging game!!!. Those peticides and now bombs are just a clam/cash grab. Im gonna stick with the simpsons tapped out,less events but when they have them i feel theyre better organised not too much content or things going on and more FUN for me anyways.

Has anyone reported that red shirt nerds drop notebooks? It only shows up when red shirt nerds are present. I can email a screenshot I took or you can check for yourself when red shirts spawn at 8 o’clock.

Only 1 6hour task for notebooks if u play free an not even in costume. Bit harsh. Also batteries seem to be dropping less. Good drop rate for the bombs thought. Smashed the 3rd challenge. I’m sure giant Stewie is just choosing whichever pesticide I’ve got the least off. GT looks more promising now. Finally caught up with where the calendar suggests I should be, an should be flying by as long as these minions an bombs keep comin.

I’m loving the game right now but it feels too simple. I just have notebooks left for Stan and it has been less then 24 hours. Between pesticides and minions I’ve got 15k-16k blam in the last 15 hours and feel like if I keep up at this rate George will be done by the weekend. I’m a little sad at the loss in the challenge.

From the start of the bomb event last night I went from being WAY behind target at 22,000 blam to having almost 36K. By end of day thanks to little Octo-Stewies and bombs I will be back on track, which I’m sure will only accelerate as time goes on. Unlocked all but Stan Lee and am still working on some other tasks. Looks like not shelling out $$ for any characters or blam is going to work out just fine. Glad I didn’t give in! Had to remind myself how fast those “butts” were coming at the end of the last event and knew that additional ways to earn Blam would come around. Yay! Bombing Minion Stewies has been 5x more lucrative for me than those stupid pesticides!

So I posted earlier about my pesticide problem and thanks for the replies but now I want to ask, I’m at 34.6k blam! Right now GMS runs it’s timer up in 14 hours, I have 3 orange 34 green and 47 red, and 16 batteries and because of my blam shortage I’m just now building the headquarters so it’ll be a day or two before I unlock the next phase but I am completely up to date on celebs and heros…realistically what prize am I looking at by the end? I know I can’t get George

Why can’t you? They drop a LOT of Blam! Bombs seem to be coming steady. I think it all comes down to how YOU play. If you set your mind to it…you can gain speed FAST! Lots of players are stating just how quickly they are moving now. Give it a week and see if you feel the same. Make a goal that YOU feel comfortable with…get to it…then set another. Adjust your play to keep on going til you reach a point you are happy with your progress. Overall…have fun. 😉

I am slightly annoyed with Stan Lee’s Trailer. It is the first trailer that I bought since it looked like they would be hard to collect. As of now his trailer still has not dropped any Notebooks. But, the Nerds have been dropping them – so I have 5/15. It just seems silly that the one thing that is supposed to drop isn’t and yet I am still progressing with the non clam nerds.

There’s too many comments to go through, so I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but I have a tip to get multiple kills:
1. Build the funneling system described above, it seems to work pretty good, although I have seen a few Stewies go through buildings, but the majority will go around buildings and walk along sidewalks.
2. Build a wall of buildings up to the coastline so they’ll go around it.
3. Wait for a swarm of Stewies to be together and quickly tap as many as you can, which will stun them. They’ll freeze for a few seconds and while they’re stunned, rain hell down upon them!

They are the Yellow ones and so they have a cap on how many can be in your game at once. So if you have some already wandering, no more will come out. I see them wander out now and then. Last night actually. 😉

I was reading the discription on the Q in the prize menu and it says it will PERMANENTLY produce nerds. so does that mean we can have nerds running around after the event is over giving us coins and clams?

It means it releases them, BUT…you have Max limits of how many each color can be in your town…so if you are maxed and that Spawn time hits…nothing will come out.

You misinderstood what I was asking. I understand the max number in town thing.
The way it is worded in the description in the prize menu, it looks like it will keep putting out nerds after the event is over. It says “it permanently spawns geeks who just might leave you a clam for you.” Permanent to me means it will release them even after comic con event is over. I think it means we can look forward to some permanent geek tapping for coins and possible clams after comic con. I think that would be pretty cool.

They do add two additional yellow nerds whenever they spawn. Previously you would only get 2 yellow nerds that would spawn each time, but now you get 4. They don’t come out of the Q-Hotel though. I’ve just seen them randomly pop up walking around the town.

Mine have come out right in front of the Q (mind you its the Q over by the Con for some reason) but they do come out. A few times they even pushed the MAx of 4 in a town at a time.

Is anyone else having a problem with GMS screwing them over? I have 46 red pesticides and 32 green pesticides and 0 orange ones because GMS ALWAYS asks for orange on the 12 and 18 marks and sometimes the 7 marks. I am a very active player but because of GMS I have fallen so far behind I don’t think it’s even possible to catchup to everyone now

We get different stories from each player. Lol. The colors are random. I seem to always get Green at the top and always need them. Seems like I have lots of Orange to spare. How often do you let him time out the 24hrs and reset?

If you wait until you have 40 of each colour, you will get a clean run to the top. Alternatively, i figured this little tip out…when you go to vanquish him, toggle airplane mode without exiting the app (swipe up on iOS) and then tap to vanquish him, tap the buidling again and wait for the timer to count down. If the next colour that shows up isnt the one you want, force close the game, turn your signal on and repeat until you get the result you want. When you get the result you want, toggle airplane mode off and continue with the game 🙂 with a bit of persistence you should get the colour you need.

No probs 🙂 forgot to say, You may get Consuela pop up, but if you clicked the building before she does, the timer keeps counting down behind her and then when it finishes, the button will either say ‘Find pesticide’ or ‘Vanquish Stewie’, so you know if you have enough to continue, so either kill the app or turn your data back on and click consuela to continue.

I have 68 Orange, 55 Red, but just 17 Green….which is up from 0 green yesterday afternoon.my counter resets in 3hrs, so hoping Green doesn’t come up on the high end AGAIN…I let it reset every 25-32 hrs once it hits the 29 pesticide task…which is just a waste of good pesticide. As a general rule Green is the perennial troublemaker in my game.

In my game Stan Lee’s trailer does not always give notepads, it just has a chance of them. Same for the used books shop and film museum.

This has been and continues to be a great event.
Just one thing that I can currently see is, they really need to give another character the chance of getting the notebook as Lois on a 6hr Rare task could take awhile. Althoughs Rare items during the event seen to be set at ‘uncommon’

For all you people, I found out a nice tactic to get many little stewies with only one bomb! Maybe a nice tip to post as an update to your news item!
When battling the minion stewies with bomb, click on them to make them stand still, they will say you will need bombs to kill them. When saying so they will stand still for around 3 seconds, this little time window you can use you bomb with 100% accuracy to kill all those minions. If you spend enough time tapping then you can get a lot in the kill zone if you are patient enough (I kill between 8 and 15 with each bomb) happy hunting clammers!

i just had around 5k blam (in the top area) and unlocked the chris blob costume and it all disappeared. i didn’t think it cost blam to build. kinda bummed and confused

He required 3000 Blam! Pretty much all the costumes and new characters for the event need the event currency.

Is it weird that the update hit last night but the game still looks the same as before? No bombs, no Stan Lee yet… I’m using an iPad.

I was like wow..there is a lot going on now. Then I thought if I was a new tapper I might be lost lol. I initially thought the Stewie Robot was going to be prizes for in game currency that we have been building up (I understand newer players have tons of things to buy so not as much them) but now I am thinking it will be Blam gamble prizes

Is anyone else’s blue shirt nerds not spawning as much?
I think I only had like 6 when I woke up this morning.
Orange and red is fine though.

Mine are still flowing out like Lava. Keep an eye on them. Try Force Closing your game or even restart the device to refresh the game. See if it makes a difference. Let us know.

Me too I have the same issue. It seems that the rate of blue shirts only spawn right when the app is running.

Odd. Mine seem to spawn just fine. Now…if you clear them all and leave them game…they sometimes “gather” at the Con. Then once you play a lil…they ALL come out at once. Then more…then more. That is what I see in my games anyway.

It spawns them, but remember you have max amounts of each one allowed in the town. So if you are at the max… you won’t see anymore come out. But if you clear them and wait, they will come out.

I don’t want to be that guy, but is it someone more than I that feels that this event have become a little bit too easy after last night? I mean during the last 15 hours or so I have earned almost 15 000 blam and I am halfway through unlocking Stan Lee without using any clams at all. I unlocked the tricycle like 4 hours ago…
I am now up to 56000 blam in total half of which I have earned in just the last few days. I mean if I as a freemium player can reach the target blam with 20 days left, something feels to be out of order.

I have to giggle at this. You say it is easy…others still say NO WAY they will get 100,000. I think it all comes down to how YOU play the game. Everyone’s take on it is different. I for one do not mind all the new help to get to the end. It is great. 😉

i have 30 batteries for the zap gun saved up. Is there any point of holding onto them for future parts of this event or should i be using all of them to help zap stewie and possibly get prize drops. thanks!

Giant, Latcher, Minion…all here til the end. So you can use them whenever. With 3+ weeks still left and still more to come…I honestly can’t say if they will come into play outside the Zapper. We don’t know whats coming. TinyCo likes those lil surprises. 😉

Agree with mossy and not Alissa the giant stewe and zap.gun are nit as.good for.blam as.mutant stewies and bombs, since unlocking the event I have.already have bombed.200 stewie in 4hrs and they drop.15 blam or 25’s aswell mostly.15’s so thats a minimum of 1500 blam in 4 hours its actually over 2000 as I have hit quite a.few 25s. Today so far I have had nearly 4k blam.what a fab day for a freemium.player… Just for the stewies im looking at a minimum.of 1500 blam a day then all.the other extras.gonna.hit.those.big targets much quicker, on the prize.ladder there. Is also.a building what spawns mutant stewies so.be good to.know the increased.spawn.rate and the max.allowed.in your town cant wait for the.extra.info.from.bunny

I honestly think this comes down to how YOU play. The Minions are sometimes hard to corral. So for some players, it may seem a bit easier to tap n zap or spray then take time to strategically Bomb the minions. 😉

Great suggestions on how best to maximize minion kills. Despite following I’m not having much success. In the FAQ it clearly states that they die if hit by the gas. I’ve had more walk out from underneath or continue walking when touched by it than not. Getting a little frustrated, especially when seeing people bombing up to 10 at a time. Think my bombs are duds.

Pretty sure most have figured this out but, I’ve been paralyzing the minion Stewies by tapping them. And when I get at least 5 in the area, then I drop a bomb. The most I’ve bombed at once was 9 minions. Hope this tip helps!

I’ve gotten 9 a couple of times, and this is the first I’ve heard of stunning them. I usually start by watching some of the outskirts of my town, and if I see 3 or more walking in the same direction, I move my view that way, and if I see any others heading in from other directions, I fire.
