RELEASE THE DEMON!! So here we are another week gone by and yet another incarnation of Stewie has arrived. Is it bad of me that I like him with the horns n wings? Lol.
Well I am sure you are all anxiously awaiting the details, so let’s hop to it.
First off, the trigger points on this one. For each Phase in this event, you must complete the prior one to unlock the new content and quests. So in order to unleash Demon Stewie, you need to have completed your “Bombs Away Part 7” missions from the Minion Stewie questline.
Once completed with Bombs Away Part 7, Peter will kick start the Demon Child Part 1 after some funny dialog with him n Lois (Both in Costume). As you can see, it is essentially still Giant Stewie (so those tasks you need to complete for characters like Blobulous will still work.)
You will see that a new Comic Book Page has been added as well as a quick link to the details for Demon Stewie.
At some point AFTER completing Demon Child Part 1, you will see a notification pop up for this weeks Challenge. You will then have 4 days as soon as that timer icon pops into your task bar, so choose wisely on how you want to acquire Harpoons until it is triggered as you need to Defeat him 9 times in 4 days. (That’s 2 days if you let it reset twice back to the 1X mark.)
A second pop up also will appear after launching into the Demon Child questline. This one is pretty cool. It just requires you to run a streak on Demon Stewie with out letting him reset to earn you a really cool animated Action Movie Set for your town. Now we know it says streak, but for some it still awards at 15X. Either way, pretty cool.
Here is what the Action Movie Set looks like… in action. There are flames and fire a blaze, the manhole cover is blown up then lands back down, the lights on the car are active, as well as the water out of the fire hydrant bursting where the cop car hit it. (For those of you wondering, yes the cop car hitting a hydrant does remind me of another one in a “Clown Land”. Lol.)
Now that you have the basics, on to a bit more details about the Demon Stewie himself. First off, the new form of attack.
WHY DO I NEED HARPOONS NOW?
The new incarnation of the Giant Stewie is a bit more evil and needs a bit more evil type of weapons to take him down. Insert the Harpoons.
I HAVE PESTICIDES THOUGH, WHAT DO I DO WITH THEM?
You may have been saving up and just about to hit a Streak when the new content lauched, so what to do with all the Pesticide you have been hoarding? Trade it in of course.
If you still have Pesticide hanging around by the time the Demon is released, you will notice the option of a Dr. Manhattan Rupert Pesticide Conversion Box pop up in your Event Menu. Once you tap on it, you will start the conversion process. Each tap gives you a Conversion Box you can open to see how many Harpoons you received in exchange.
(p.s. am I the ONLY one that wants a Dr Manhattan skin now for Rupert?)
Back the the Conversion. The amount you get in return will vary. (They will NOT be a 1:1 ratio, so be ready.) This will however give you a jump start on the Demon Stewie and the Challenge Vehicle for this week. The options of Harpoons you can win inside the boxes are as follows:
Old Timey Harpoons- 3, 4, or 5
Modern Harpoons- 3, 4, or 5
High-Tech Harpoons- 3, 4, or 5
You will be able to continue collecting and opening Rupert Boxes until you have depleted all your Pesticides. Then, the Rupert Box will disappear from your menu.
WHERE ELSE CAN I GET HARPOONS?
Several new tasks were added with the new Phase, or switched out so the characters can now earn items needed for the Demon Giant Stewie. I am happy to see more of the town Characters were tossed in the mix.

So a mix of Characters you can use to get Harpoons you need for Demon Stewie.
You can also get High-Tech Harpoons from Latcher Stewie.
HOW DO I DEFEAT DEMON STEWIE?
The game provides you a quick overall tutorial of what to do to defeat him.
It is essentially still Giant Stewie…with wings and horns…so the concept for taking him down will be the same. After you have collected Harpoons, Tap on the Convention Center. (Tapping on the Target won’t open it.)
Once you tap on it, it will open the Vanquish Demon Stewie Screen.
From here you can see how many Harpoons you need for the Current Blam! Level as well as how many you have already of each kind. (Each Level will require a specific amount of Harpoons, though the Harpoons themselves will vary). Here is the breakdown.

If you have enough Harpoons, the option to “VANQUISH DEMON STEWIE!” will be at the bottom. If you do not, it will say “FIND HARPOONS!” and you will need to go and earn some more.
Once you tap on “VANQUISH DEMON STEWIE!”, it will go to a cut screen showing him getting engulfed in flames and disappearing into the Convention Center.
You will then be awarded your Blam! payout and will not be able to Vanquish him again for another 30 seconds.
Now remember, once you hit the top tier of 30X , you can keep going and going at that top tier and continually use the extra 5 Harpoon difference to keep hitting the MAX Blam! amount. Or if you prefer to keep it low and while you collect enough to keep a streak, you can hit any point on the Levels and then stop. Letting the 24 hour timer run all the way out. It will then reset to 1X and you can start again. (Don’t forget once you get the pop up for the Streak Action Movie Set Prize, you only have to run a streak once to get it.) Also don’t forget to get your Challenge Car for this week.

If you have Demon Stewie, how are you seeing how many pesticides you have? Only Giant Stewie shows the Pesticide counts. Demon Stewie shows Harpoon counts.

So I sped up the process to get the harpoons I needed to hit the 25 harpoons. And I hit the top for the second time. And still no movie set. It wanting another 25 harpoons. I force closed the app. And still nothing. I sent an in game email, but haven’t got a response. Looks like I’m out of my 170 clams and not getting the movie set. Maybe done with the game period. It’s a shame. I am sitting at 154k in blam. I am 4 calculators away from quagmire’ s costume.

Did you ever let it reset to 1X and try again? It triggers after 5 straight defeats. You can let it time out and after 24hrs try again and not have to use so many harpoons.

Give them a lil time to get back to you. It takes at LEAST 24 hours for them to get to your message. That is if they are not back logged and need to look into the issue further. Hang in there.

I think I’m missing something here I have the bike ,, I’ve beaten demon stewie past the 30x multiplier but still no movie set I don’t know what I’m doing wrong I feel like a Duh!!!

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly the next 2 times I beat demon stewie the movie set appeared?!! Now of I could only get Tricia takanawa I only need one eyeball and I’ve got dr Hartman and Peter trying every 6 hours it’s so frustrating and I don’t have 300 clams to spend!! Ugh!

It seems to me that unless you can keep the streak up at 30x defeating deamon stewie is a lot worse reward than defeating giant stewie. If you look at thr ratio of pesticides to blam and spears to blam for up to 8x multiplier it is loads more blam for each pesticide than for each spear and after that it isnt enough better to make up for it unless you can keep your mutiplier at 30x, which for most players would be too hard to do. Since I havent got to this stage yet, I’m thinking about not completing the quest for a while so I can keep giant stewie

has anyone had the “glitch” where they received the action movie set without vanquishing demon stewie but the harpoon count has gone down?
this just happened to me and I was stock piling harpoons for the reset in 13.44hrs to complete the fabulous challenge 4: teenage freedom to win blobulous’ gorge-ous bike but now I can’t as this happened.
😦 i’m sad… and angry… my ‘what the hell!?’ moment today!

16 hours left and I need another 20 old times harpoons. Found that you can actually just buy them from Patrick Stewart as he is guaranteed to get one straight away if you spend 8 shells each time.

I am having a really hard time collecting the right harpoons needed to vanquish Demon Stewie and I’m about to approach my final day to get the bike. I’m only on 4/9. I’ve been able to get the other cars, but this one seemed very hard from the start to get, what happens to the bike once the timer runs out? Does the bike just vanish? I’d hate to miss out on the last prize car because I kept getting the same harpoon
Also what is the fastest way to get all these harpoons? I keep sending the super heroes, but doesn’t seem to be enough.

Many are stating this is a hard one. All I can suggest is feedback to TinyCo on it. At the end of the timer, the car challenge is gone. Sending all characters on their tasks is the best way outside of using Clams.

So am I correct that in order to be perfectly safe for a full run on stewie you need 59 of each type of harpoon? I realize the likelihood of each multiplier requesting the same harpoon is extremely rare but I’ve been holding off on letting Peter fish for harpoons in the Demon Child Pt. 1 quest (already blew up demon stewie once and let the timer reset though) so I can try to double up on the movie set and getting the car in the same run since I don’t have any premium characters to help me rack up harpoons faster. How many do you think is a realistic amount to have saved of each to hit the 25x multiplier?

It takes 59 total. Don’t know what kind he will ask for, so yes…that is the way to run a streak with no issues. Just make sure Demon Stewie has reset at least once back to 1x before running a new streak AFTER you triggered the quest.

DEMON STEWIE TIP: 30x streak tip
Been seeing a few complaints about missing the 30x streak and missing out on the “Movie Set” because you can’t collect enough harpoons in 24h.
Sorry it this is obvious, but if you collect more than 59 of each harpoon it will guarantee that you can complete the steak even in the worst case scenario where it just asks for the same harpoon type for each defeat.

The finish line is in sight! Need 2 more shots on demon stewie and only 4 more modern harpoons to garentee both and 12 hours to do so to let him reset. (13 of all 3 rockets in case it comes up twice)
Not sure if what I was experiencing before was a glitch that was fixed or not regarding harpoons not changing but I let the time reset. Yet again it was high tech but after that only wanted the other 2 so I was able to build up a big streak 🙂
In other news iv got Takei and now wondering what I’m going to spend my every increasing blam! on. I hope tinyco releases some decorations near the end. That’s the only thing full moon had an advantage over this event. So many unique decorations!

Few others have reported this. My suggestion is to try and let it reset to the 1X again after 24 hours. Then attempt another streak. If it still does not trigger, let TinyCo know.

Can I just confirm there is no timer to reaching x30 to unlock the movie set? I’m currently trying to get the bike but I’ve got 1d 7h to vanquish 3 more times I’m currently on 3/9. I was going to let the timer run to 0 so I can start with lower amounts of harpoons to ensure I unlock the bike. To unlock the movie set, if doesn’t have a timer on it but I just want to confirm so I don’t miss out on it.

Okay – got the bike today, the movie set yesterday and have an extra 100K blam and about 45 of each harpoon. At this point I don’t need any more blam and I think I should just keep collecting harpoons (and not use any) while waiting for the last vehicle challenge this Friday. Either they’ll use harpoons and I’ll have a ton or they’ll be converted to whatever new weapon comes about – and I’ll be stocked up as well. I’m just doing character tasks and trying to get the last 7 porno magazine and 3 calculators for the multiplier. So is this what everyone else is doing?

I asked this earlier but has anyone else seen the vanquish demon stewie once and for all quest line yet. I got it earlier it says to have red hot get harpons then you have to vanquish demon stewie four more times…. Anyone knows what tbat means is that going to be the end of demon stewie or what. I reached 100,000 today! As a freemium player I never thought it would be possible. I was no where near 100,000 for the king butt event. I completed the latest part of the fabulous challenge. Now I need to kill another 30 minions to get the GT statute. I couldn’t have done it without you guys!!!

You don’t need the 30 streak for the vehicle. You need to vanquish him 9 times. If it’s asking for 25 harpoons then you’ve already got 4 or 5 of these. Let your 24 hour timer run out while you collect a whole load of harpoons – you should still have 6 hours left on your vehicle timer by this point. Vanquish him as many times as possible in a row and hope that it takes you over 9.
You should have been letting the timer reset instead of building the streak over several days.

If you have time, yes…using less harpoons is always easier. Just remember it is a full 24hrs you have to let it run down without anymore attacks.

Few others stated same. Sometimes refreshing game will help. Force close. Restart. If game is saved to an email or FB…even uninstall reinstall and log back in to the game.

I think you need a faq board here. I come here to read comments and check on new things in the game but the boards are always full of this isn’t working or I didn’t get this for that. Make sure when you are trying to assign the task that latcher stewie isn’t on the fab 4 building. I kept trying to put someone in a building that was latched onto and couldn’t figure out why he wouldn’t be doing his task till I realized the building was blocked.

I had an odd thing with the movie set. I had gotten past the 15X, but was a couple harpoons short for the 30X. The second I earned the last harpoon I needed (before I used it) I got a pop-up saying I won the movie set and there it was, in my inventory. I went ahead and placed it and then used the harpoons to really get the 30X. Wierd. On a side note hitting that 30X put me over 100k and earned me George Takai!

I have vanquished demon Stewie 9 times and have the check mark, but haven’t completed the quest because I haven’t “checked out” blobulous’s bike. When I click “Go” nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem?

I had to go into the Comic Con link in the lower right, look through the info in the tabs (like the comic book page) until I got to the break down page for the challenge. Then tapped on it. See if that helps.

Still no word from TinyCo regarding the 30x streak not registering – obviously it’s the weekend. But just to rub salt in the wound, I got a notification on my device, but instead of just “Come back” or whatever, it said “Have you won all the prizes yet? Oh sorry, I thought I was talking to somebody cool.”
Ordinarily that would be funny, but BAD TIMING TinyCo! BAD TIMING! NOT FUNNY.
Anyway, I failed spectacularly to collect the 25 harpoons for the additional round, but according to others with the same problem that didn’t work either. I’ve reset the streak and am trying to reach 30 again to see if it triggers this time. Unfortunately I need 20 Old Timey Harpoons, and currently have only 1, so it may take a while. At least I unlocked the bike in the process (which thankfully DID pop).

I had the same problem and resetting the streak worked. Think that the quest actually needs you tobcomplete the whole streak ladder from the start sfter picking up the quest rather than judt getting the x30 after picking it up

I was having an issue with game freezing when doing the final attack for the streak on my phone so I wasn’t sure if it would get fixed in time but for some reason it gave me the action set even though I hadn’t completed the 30x attack. I was able to later get the 30x attack when I tried on a different device. I’ve heard in some comments that people were getting after the 15x streak. It didn’t happen right away and I forget what triggered the message that I got it.

There is a glitch on demon child part 4, it says for red hot to scavenge for harpoons but the picture and task trigger is to buy harpoons. Thought you guys should know.

My game just glitched, I was one short of the 30x streak when I logged out this morning. when I just logged in this afternoon I immediately recieved the movie set, the streak had gone up to 30 and 20 modern harpoons (I only had 1 when I logged off) had appeared in my inventory out of nowhere, enough to do another attack.

Started harpooning him right away with the stuff I got from the exchange – about 25 – 30 each, and it got me to 15x. Strangely, at that point I got the action film set. I collected harpoons, waited for the reset and got to 30x once. But like Giant Stewie, the Demon has a preference for one kind of harpoon, the modern one. Well, I need one more hit to get this week’s bike, and I already unlocked Takei, so basically I am good with anything they can still throw at me.

People seem surprised that when Giant Stewie resets he is only weak against one type of harpoon. It literally says it in the game.

I keep hitting the 30 x multiplier and I keep getting nothing 😦

It’s hard to gain the modern harpoons for me. As the game keep on asking me for them when I have so few. Does this occur for any of you as well ?

This might of been posted somewhere but what is the spawn rate for minion stewies from the nothing suspicious …… Factory i see no difference in the number of minions spawning in my town

The factory is not “live” as of yet. Still waiting for notification on it. So no info as of right now for the spawn rates.

My game must have glitched, I reached the 30x streak for demon stewie killed him with the 20 harpoons and didn’t get my action movie set!! What can I do ??? Really annoyed!

Four times in a row it’s asked for modern harpoons! 😦 I have 40 of both of the others! Don’t know if this is a glitch or I’m just that unlucky.

I know you’ve answered this a million times but of course I can’t find it now that I need it. I have a building that has a check mark over it but looks like there is a latcher on it. When I click the gun it does the animation but doesn’t zap anything and doesn’t leave that screen. How do I get my person out of there?

Best thing to do is wait for him to jump to a new building. He should jump in 8 hrs and that will free up your building 🙂

He did jump. Thanks Alissa. I have a couple other questions now. 1. When you get to the level 30 streak do you have to do it again to get the reward or is supposed to trigger when you get there because I’ve gotten there a couple of times but it’s still in my quest bar. And 2. It never asks me to use the harpoons all the way on the right. My streak requirements are always the other two. Is that normal or should I report that to tinyco?

The harpoons you use will vary. Just like Pesticide. Each player has different ones it asks for. You can wait 24 hours, let the timer reset, and try again for the streak. If it still doesn’t work, let TinyCo know.

But I think with the pesticides it rotated between all 3 colors. I don’t think I’ve been asked for the, what are the future, harpoons. I don’t know. It’s just frustrating because I’d be able to finish two quests at once if had asked for those.

They varied. Sometimes I had same from 1x to the top in Pesticides. Letting it run out and reset usually switched it out.

I just had this same problem and contacted TinyCo. They responded really quickly and credited me 15 clams for my wasted battery when using the gun. They are aware of the issue and are working on a fix, and they also stated that they’ve decreased the time that Latcher Stewie holds onto a building from 8 hours to 2 hours. Their suggestion was to restart the game to fix the visual bug but that hadn’t worked for me initially. Luckily Latcher Stewie had jumped when I came back to my game about an hour and a half later and I was able to free poor George Takei who had been trapped inside on his 10-hour task. Oh My!!

350+ minions blasted and still not ONE porno mag. Not even getting them from Quagmire quests. Continued “observations” to TinyCo. have fallen on deaf ears.

I’m predicting that Minon Stewies will be upgraded to Minion DevilStewies next week, and the bombs will then be useless. They’ll convert to something else to attack the little green roaming bugs. Maybe remote controllers for satellite strikes. So if you still have bombing challenges left to complete, it might be wise to concentrate on that before the next update in four days or so. I base this prediction on the fact that the minons were the spawn of Giant Stewie before he mutated again, and the fact that TinyCo needs some new action to build the last vehicle time-limit quest around.

Still loving the event, but really cheesed about these stupid harpoons. Since it switched to Demon Stewie I still haven’t been able to hit the 30x. And I HAVE BC and NF! The lengthened task time for harpoons is BS…

By far this is the best event so far, I just won George and I didn’t really think I would have a shot when the evnt started; I played spebding very few $$ and clams. I enjoyed all the updates and by far this is the most organized event I participated in. Great Job Tinyco. You have my respect, you took some great ideas from the Full Moon event and incorporate the feature early to give players a fair chance; a few game glitches here and there. And now all I have to do is create Mutiplier costume and the event will be over for me.
