Much like the Minions for Comic-Con you’ll now have to Stink Bomb the Trick-Or-Treaters!
SIDE NOTE FROM BUNNY: These Brats spawn out by the portal, move your maze over to the exit point from the portal. This should help to start directing them. More coming as I play with some items to make mazes. Feel free to elaborate on yours too. Post pics if you’d like. 😉
Where you are on FP Levels as well as Districts open will determine your Spawn Rate on these kids. Expect to see at least 2 every 30 mins Minimum and up to 6 Maximum. The total amount you will see will be at least 8 Minimum Total and up to 48 Maximum Total in your Quahog at one time.
Collect Stink Bombs to Defeat these little “terrors” and they’ll drop items for Ghostbuster Joe, Candy Corn and more for you!
You can earn stink Bombs from:

The Traps also changed their timer from 6 hours down to 4 hours making it easier to get those Latchers.

I used flowerbeds during ComCon for a maze to corral Stewie minions & they worked. The pink, violet & rose flowerbeds aren’t working for me this time with the ToTers.

Not sure if this has been said already but when I’m using the slingshot I can access my entire map, such as the top left side or near to the edges of the map. Sadly I have misses out on some good clusters of trick or treaters do to this.

Trick or Treaters always spawn by the event portal. Aim your bomb at the Southeast end of the Graveyard (close to where the Demonic Mystery Box is).
When the first (they come in a line) of the trick or treater gets to the end of the cemetery, release your bomb. It will catch ALL of them.
No Maze necessary for this to work so this is freemium friendly! =D
They also seem to spawn every 30min (not confirmed). I suggest checking every 30min and immediately aim for the sweet spot once the game loads and wait for a min or so on the spawn.

Do you know how many are spawning every half hour? Are you getting the 15 max each time?

I just tried after 30min, seems like 5 spawned. I managed to hit 8, probably from others on the field who happened to be in the area.
I know earlier I hit 13 after waiting an hour. So maybe if we wait an hour, we can get 10 to spawn? I’ll have to test it out again.

I just tried again, 58min since the last one. I got 2 group spawns, killed 12 on the first bomb, and 10 on the second bomb.
Still don’t know the actual trick or treaters per spawn because some of them stack, and I know for sure I hit some others that happened to be in the area. But I’m thinking 8ish per spawn.

I am incredibly frustrated and ready to stop playing. I can’t get anything at all, I am so far behind everyone. I just got Peter and I am not even close to getting Quagmire. Same thing in Comic Con- it ended before I got 1/4 of the things. Not to mention it took me nearly 3 weeks to get Stewie. This game is only rewarding if you spend money and that is BS.

I am sorry you feel that way. It is not just about money. Many Freemiums, like me…are trucking along just fine. It is all in how YOU play the game and spend YOUR time. That is the toss up…Pay to get it with $$$ or Play to get it with time. It is all up to you. But it is obtainable. Don’t focus on where everyone else is. Just play at YOUR level and YOUR time allotment. Just know if you do not do one or the other…you can’t anticipate to get far. 🙂

So this event is basically a recycle of the comic con event, right? It looks like it to me. This event really hasn’t been that exciting to me. It’s alittle slow and I’ve seen this all before. I’m only looking foward to unlocking Francis and duck stewie. After that I can’t wait until November 7th, so that we can move on to the new event/district/characters.

Tbh iam done iam sick of moving stuff in and out of storage ive played since the beta I’ve won stuff from circus,full moon, 4th July comic con,summer event and I have all this stuff but no room not like they let you sell it either it’s just sat in my inventory same goes with the ghostbusters stuff and IMO it’s just getting repetitive and slightly boring I’ve put only the basic buildings and decos out the ones needed for the tasks I’ve send feedback time after time about me having nearly 2 million coins and nothing to spent it on unless I want a couple of million trees and stuff but they make sure every single clam I earn or buy is taken away from me iam max level most of my characters are max Iam bored now and just need room I don’t want to moan coz it’s a good game but room is getting a serious problem especially since the buildings are getting bigger allmost makes it seem pointless to go for the decos and rewards

Do you have any information on the spawn rate or maximum # of trick or treaters?
I see they spawn through the portal in rotation with the other ghosts. You mention that they spawn through the event area but I would keep an eye out for spawns on sidewalks on four hour intervals (4, 8, 12 o’clock eastern) as that is a pattern that has held true for all the previous specters so far.
My strategy at this point is to collect as many bombs as I can by Saturday evening while trying to get as much info on their spawn pattern & build a maze outside the event area with one patch of sidewalk to try to get my 200. Not sure if it will be possible though.

Side note to my last post. The duration of the gas cloud from the bombs is shorter than before, in turn requiring more on the users part. I understand turning a profit, but when its this transparent and recycled its going to drive people away.

I was liking this event up until the trick or treater’s. The latchers were already a carry over from comicon, but recycling two “game mechanics” back to back is pretty weak. That and the fixed the minion stewies by making it much harder to hit more than a few at a time, plus made getting the bombs harder too. Hell, it was so recycled that the animation of the stinkbombs is still a yellow colored bomb from comicon. 200 in 3 days is a straight cash grab. Now I’m starting to regret dropping money on this game.

Phase 3 mostly done. Just got 130 kids left to get over the next 2 days for ghostbusters challenge those pesky kids. Otherwise stuck on ghostbusters roll out part 8 as now have to wait 6 days until can unlock the marshmallow portal with next week’s update.

Regarding hitting the Trick or Treaters, I hate how I am penalized because I have unlocked a lot of land. It’s so hard to hit a large group especially since you can’t tap on them like we use to be able to do with mutant Stewie.
Even after trying to arrange my buildings in an attempt to corral them, they still sprawl everywhere 😦

We brought all the land too and the kids on our game tend to walk down the right hand and along the bottom right before the water in mostly a long line like a can can so can bomb quite a few in one hit.

Other option is to splash the clams and speed up the portal and get 6 kids out at same time. Then just simply bomb them all while they are all standing by the portal. A perfect 6 hit every time. But doing it this way does waste clams as you’ll have dogs, ghosts and banshees all come out of portal too.

I forgot to sit in wait for the kids to spawn and realized too late that they were already starting to spread out.
Tapping them doesn’t freeze them. Not a one is next to the other and I still need to hit 5 for the first quest. I only have two stink bombs… I’ll be using one person kid, here.
Guess I’ll save up and try to knock them all out then try to take out the next batch in one fell swoop.

I never stunned mutant Stewie during comic con. I stalked them and bombed them in groups. Doing the same withe trick or treaters. I just hit 3 with 1 bomb. Tip: go for the devil kids.

Confess I don’t know what lies ahead but it really doesn’t make sense to have yet another character collecting terror dogs (Joe). This will be the third one that can make them and if the past few days have been any indication they weren’t coming out of the portal enough to zap. A question I’d really love to see answered is who at TinyCo was able to zap that many kids in such a short time with the limited resources available to get them in order to land the next prize without using clams (yes I know you are not TinyCo.).

I’m so glad that the new Demonic Mystery Box in only 50 Clams, I managed to get all the prizes from it, along with earning back some Clams. I love the Haunted House, and the Happy-Go-Lucky Toy Factory as it drops the much needed Stink Bombs, I’m a bit disappointed that the Headless Horseman isn’t animated, but hopefully they’ll add it at some point like they did with Chomps, and the Alien from Space. At the moment I haven’t bombed any of the Trick-or-Treaters as I’m gonna build up a good supply of Bombs, I don’t see the need to rush it at this point as we have all week to get this done.

Yeah pretty much, I won the Headless Horseman first, then the Catacombes, 100 Clams, Haunted Lighthouse, 8 Candy Corn, 100 Clams, Haunted Manor, and finally the Happy-Go-Lucky Yoy Factory. I got super lucky with this one, and I had too put quite a few of my buildings and decos to fit in this new stuff.

The “prizes” we brew from the witchs cauldron have actual animations!! before chomps the zombie and octomom didn’t do anything but now they move! not sure if my game was glitched or TinyCo just added these features to brewed stuff..anyway, awesome!

Ready to to pull my hair out. Can’t get spirit vials fast enough to get everything especially with Mr. Weed needing 17500 alone. The game needs to give us more vials without having to spend a fortune on clams as not all of us can afford to spend money on premium items.
I am getting stressed that a lot of people won’t be able to get everything by the time the event is over.
Was much easier to get stuff during the Comic-con Event than it is for this event.

Ugh. This update had some promise but now it really is the quest for stuff. Ive been playing this game since the pyramid update and my town is full and most of the buildings look ridiculous. These updates are all the same. It’s starting to get real old.
Tiny co needs to exercise some restraint, IMO. It’s great adding new content, especially characters, but all these buildings are overkill. Maybe if they put in more land it wouldn’t seem so horrible but it looks like tinyco is living up to the name of their game. It just seems like the devs stream of thought goes like this…
“what are we gonna do this update?”
“I don’t know maybe rehash the last update except put 1 new thing in. People will love it”
“Brilliant”
“You’re right. Don’t forget to throw a bunch of ugly buildings in that make no sense.”
It took me over a year to fill up my town in tsto…and that was with a lot of diversity and shrubbery. So it was easy to make room….even now 2 years in.
One thing I love about this game and it’s updates are the characters and surprise characters. Other than that, everything else has gotten real old because I feel like it’s the same thing over and over and over and over…..

Basically you’re screwed if you went ahead and started the bombing of the tricker treaters…. I’ve tried placing my buildings a certain way, tapping them, taking almost all buildings up and nothing has helped so far. They just go wherever they want. Guess I won’t ve getting the ecto 1 car I had my eyes set on
I have wrote tiny co though to ask how it is possible but where they are normally good at replying they have Not replyed to my last 3 inquiries. I should have just waited for y’all bc y’all have been on top of everything

The trick-or-treaters don’t spawn on the pavement like the minion Stewies did, BUT if you build a little maze at the entrance point to the Halloween area, they will stream through it in an orderly fashion. I did that first thing and just saw a dozen or so of their respawns line up very nicely for a bombing. (This means that if you can clear them out once, you should be able to deal with their respawns easily.)
NOW if we can just come up with a method of getting bombs that doesn’t involve 8 hr tasks by two or three characters. Unless there’s a surprise waiting, I don’t see how it’s possible to get enough bombs to gas 200 of them in 3 days without spending massive amounts of clams.

As for people talking about a maze for the kids … is this the maze you purchase in the game? Or creating a maze yourself with buildings? If the latter, how exactly do you do it?

Maze you create…here is the one I did for Minions. Same concept…just entrance placed where things spawn out of portal area. Then an exit on the opposite side. More info coming. If you target them at just the right time, you can get a bit as they first come out without the maze.

200 kids bombed looks hard at the moment, i see some 8h tasks to get bombs, lets hope those arent the only ways to get them. And with us being unable to halt the kids as we could with minion stewie… getting 10+ each bomb is going to be hard. But i guess ill find out soon 🙂

I saw that hammer over the grave site and thought, “oh he!! no, I ain’t tapping anything until I check with Bunny and Alissa!!” Then I noticed I can’t tap the minions, I mean, children, to make them stay still, and I immediately stopped playing to come here. Remind me again why you ladies don’t get paid by TinyCo? 🙂

Ok, easier question: How come Cleveland is still completely useless? I know you two wouldn’t taunt us he’ll be important for the event then not even give him a 24-hour spirit vial task! 🙂
On the bright side, my weekly challenge hasn’t triggered yet (thanks to me checking here before doing stuff), so I’m going to wait and build up more bombs before it launches.

Five hours ago I was playing the game and i sent Midlife Crisis Lois to “Ride the Bucking Bronco” and then my game crashed, and I haven’t been able to play it since the game crashed. I sent TinyCo a message, but no answer yet.
Is it happening to someone else? Can anyone help me, please? 🙂

Give them time to respond. They run on a 9-5 Mon thru Fri schedule. So allow them time to get the ticket then respond. What is the error message you are getting?
Have you tried some basic troubleshooting?
