Hello There Clammers!
A few in game changes just happened to our Tiny Quahogs…
TinyCo has made some changes to the Trick-or-Treater requirements and a new character has joined Quahog! Let’s take a look at the new changes shall we?
First up…the number of required Trick-or-Treaters has dropped from 200 to 150….
Changes to Stink Bomb Tasks:
A few changes have been made to tasks as well…the previous 8hr task has now been reduced to 4hrs. Here’s a list of who can now earn Stink Bombs:
Bonnie– Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Pink Brian- Pretty in Pink, 4hrs
Bruce- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Chris- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Jake- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Slutty Cat Meg- Punch-Drunk Dance, 4hrs
Mort- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
New character…Alien also has a 4hr task to earn them!
So they shortened the task time for those that were previously 8hrs…AND they added a Stink Bomb task for Bruce.

New Questline:
A Town Perseveres…we’ll have a walkthrough on this coming up. BUT Lois starts this, and wants you to build the Brookfield Insane Asylum.
New Premium Character:
As many of you guessed was coming….Alien has arrived in Quahog! It’ll cost you 200 Clams (and comes with an egg).
Alien’s questline is called Man’s Best Friend and everyone will get this. Your first task is to build Nostromo, and it’s kicked off my Lois.
Also, if you purchase predator during the questline you’ll earn 12 free smoke bombs 🙂

So we had predator in his trophy case last alien in his egg this week it really has me wondering what we wil be offered for the next 2 weeks. Maybe ripley in the power loader and Dutch in the chopper. Imagine ripley running about saying get away from her u bitch randomly and Dutch yelling at everyone to get to da choppy lol.

Just want to say THANKS! I literally check this blog about every 6 hours at least to help me get through the super crazy Halloween event! Excellent job keeping up with all the changes, much appreciated. clams, clams, clams, I’d like to mention clams please, clams are my virtual world! I understand everyone wants the world for free, however here is my humble opinion. I spend money on clams pretty frequently and I will tell you why. #1 it equals my entertainment. I could spent $30 for a crappy movie and don’t forget about the $80 you will drop at a sub standard restaurant. to me that equals tons of clams, tons of fun, my husband amused by my delight when something awesome happens in the game, and I can stay in my pj’s. Skip the Starbucks for a week and enjoy some quality time with Peter. besides, I can get allot more value out of $20 of clams than some fast food or lame movie rental!! #2 please people, the creators and maintainers of this game are not here to work for you for free. They have to put food on their table just like anyone else. this crew is AWESOME! Quick to listen and fix issues! I have spent $ on other games and they never fix them so give them a break. I hope I didn’t upset anyone, just comparing $to $. personally I would rather watch Meg puke 100 times than to ever see a movie like Lucy again, just saying… thanks to the bloggers and thanks to tinyco!!

I think it’s still too little too late. The quest is still one day in, so over 100 minions to bomb in less than two days with still only a chance at the bombs, and minions that won’t stop moving around unless you destroy the entire layout of your town. And the event is still boring with the predator and alien being premium content that I don’t wish to participate in and the minions themselves are annoying to deal with. Just ready for this event to end already.

I dropped the 200 clams on Alien, and it should be noted that the quest (Man’s Best Friend Pt. 2) awards 12 stink bombs. Since the collection of 12 bombs normally costs 150 clams, that’s a pretty good deal.
I’ve also noticed several trick-or-treaters popping up around town in a puff of smoke, rather than coming out of the portal.

Just finished alien questline which was great. Good to see that they dropped the kids to bomb rate so more people have an easier job to finish the task too.
But going back to the alien, two things they could change:
1) Wouldn’t it be good if we could just get alien to take out the kids instead of just dogs or chasing tail to drop bombs. Know game is supposed to be all ages but am guessing a lot of big kids like us would like to see that happen.
2) On stalk the predator task. Is it just my game or does the alien simply walk straight past the predator? Thought it was supposed to stalk the predator as in the task name, not just walk past it, say a hello and then walk off. Where’s the stalking in that!?
Well 5 days left now until portal becomes marshmallow, but 2 days of football will make that time go quicker.
Good luck to all in finishing this portal upgrade and alien update. Like it’s been said before, don’t rush it. Just take your time and think and plan ahead to what you need to do. Makes the game a whole lot easier than just belting through it in a kamikaze way.
Keep up the good work Alissa and Bunny, with your good help on this site I’ve been able to work out what was actually needed and when and not just bomb through and buy everything that came up as new even if it wasn’t needed for the game.

Im way behind too, but with 2 days left roughly, 7 bombs every 4 hrs, 28 bombs a day. I could get 2 kids per bomb and make the 150.

Yeah I got 5/150 there’s no way.. Which like I unfortunately just posted on a did page is really sad considering all the involvement it should be like 50 and increase with other tasks like comicon (: although I think I’ll have trouble with 50 lol

Appreciate the changes, but it looks like we have a new problem – kids aren’t spawning by the portal at all now. Not when the timer runs down, not every 30 minutes. In fact, I think I just saw some spawn on the roads out of nowhere. So much for that strategy. And no, I’m not maxed out, because I used my last two bombs to hit some to make sure I wasn’t.
So kudos for the opportunity for more bombs, even though the drop rate is presumably the same, and lower the kid count, even though now it’ll be harder to bomb more than 4 or 5 at once. I don’t mean to sound salty or ungrateful, I knew they’d come through as they always do. But this never should have been this complicated in the first place, and now the one strategy that gave confidence toward completion is apparently gone.

Hi Tiny co. Thank you for making that change for the trick or treaters to 150 and changing the times to 4 hrs for the tasks.
One last thing. We all have wasted an entire 24 hours with hardly any stink bombs dropping on the 8 hour tasks and are way behind on still even getting to 150. Can you please extend the quest 1 extra day so that the lost 24 hours from the initial day is gained back.
Because technically dropping it to 150 without giving back the day lost is just a bunch of smoke and mirrors to your players and really doesn’t give us much. So if you want the 150 to count we need that last 24 hours back. Please extend 1 extra day

Were you supposed to get stink bombs when you get the Alien? I didn’t. Want to confirm before i write a complaint to tiny co. Also didn’t get any new quest starts for the asylum or from the alien. What’s going?

No it’ll still popup. Other quests trigger it. So just hang in there and be patient, it’ll popup for you 🙂

For me it’s not that big of a deal though. I’m more obsessed with winning items from the Demonic Mystery Box. So far I have gotten some pretty cool things.
And just wondering, is the headless horseman just a decoration? Do you guys know anything yet or no?

Are you kidding? Each event they want more and more clams while the coins pile up. Ask yourself would you pay 1000$ for an Xbox game? Do the math each event is 100$ or more !

Clearly, you have massive issues with this game. And if that’s the case I suggest you try a different game. However, you’re constantly belittling those that choose to spend money in the game (and nO, not $1,000). So honestly, instead of attacking those that choose to spend money in the game maybe you should consider a different game…

Jsk is partially correct. You could easily spend up to $1,000 if you were a completionist in this game and IF you rushed things based on the initial deadlines TinyCo gives… this 3-day event is a perfect example. I have the money to spend but I agree that the cost of most things is quite high, comparable to other games, especially in this genre.

For my part, I’ve never paid for a clam–and I have claimed every non-premium prize in the last three events. It certainly can be done.

Just got the Portal, but the treaters no longer spawn as they did before making my maze that was working so well earlier practically useless. Perhaps we can get an update if they also changed how/when they spawn.

Thanks be to TinyCo. I’m glad they realized that their original figures were in the realm of very difficult to unobtainable. I was getting close to the 200 but with less than 2 days left I was afraid I wouldn’t make it.

What triggers the new “a town preserves” questline? I left Lois free for a few minutes and I didn’t get the ! with the new questline starting. Does the main phase 3 questline have to be finished it something?

so they give bruce the 4hr task to make stink bombs but not stewie? WHAT THE HELL? my plan is (or was) to hoard bombs til i had enough before finishing the initial quest so i could succeed in the challenge. just like how im waiting for what ill be needing for francis before digging him up.

Lord knows with my 43 so far I think its awesome. Got lucky and picked up the Toy Factory and now have Alien and now with the othertreaks I am stressing less on finishing this now…yes with the six characters and factoryI have picked up a grand total 7 bombs today lol

i just wish they had “updated” the tasks that were running already… my chris still has 4hrs 38 min of remaining time (started has an 8-hour task) for crafting the stinky bomb….
but his task- bar is still at “0%” ( i guess the bar will move once he reaches the 4hrs…. 😦

Im glad they listened but I doubt that I will still be able to do it – 116 in 1 day 21 hours 😦 If only they would extend it to the portal update or even just a day 😦

I have about 100 to go, and it is manageable. 7 characters with 4 hour tasks, if you’re up for about 12-16 hours, then that’s 21-28 bombs, round it up 42-49 based on the time left. You would need to bomb a minimum of 3 kids to get there, 5 should be the ideal average to save on time.
I’m not sure how the drop rate is, but given the complaints, I imagine that they will drop bombs every time.

NO they are NOT dropping bombs everytime they finish their tasks. I’m totally screwed at winning this weeks price and the Ecto-1 car. Throwing in the towel for these lousy trick or treatets, honestly…UNLESS i get lucky in the next 24 hours with whatever, but Highly Doubt It. I’m really even more bummed out because it is impossible.

lately i have been sending 6 characters to do bombs at the same time… and when i colect: JUST ONE BOMB DROPPEd…
Really? :O it seems to me like Tiny Co decided to reduce the drooping rate to less than 20%
i am just missing 33 kids but it is a bit frustrating that out of 6 characters doing the task, just one of them gets the bomb…
and a couple of times i see more bombs dropping (3) but just one gets counted…. that has been the problem (glitch) during the last 22 hours on my Android

Try to restart your device and refresh the game. My last one I had 4 drop. It all varies. Just keep trying.

I sincerely hope that the Predator and the Alien face off against each other. Even if it’s a 1day task inside a building I still think it could compete pretty well against the movie.

We got bombs twice!
1st time after getting alien but then game crashed so didn’t count.
2nd time got alien again and bombs again too.
Am guessing you should get bombs unless they dropped that reward after dropping the amount of kids to bomb.

i don’t know if this has been seen by others but currently if I click on the add clams button all of the prices say “wait”. Maybe TinyCo will be adding deals to purchases! Fingers crossed. 🙂

I’ve had this happen to me once in a whole, and a lot more the last few days. but hard closing the game doesn’t fix the problem because if it is happening to one game most likely it’s affecting all in app purchases, (when it happens I tried a few other games with in app purchases and all had the same problem)
The problem is with the iOS App Store getting out of sync with your games, The fix that has always worked is, hard close the game, go to the App Store, log out and right back in again and you will be able to buy stuff in game again.

No. Give it a little bit, it’ll start for you. In my B game I’m done with everything so it could have just kicked on…

well. this seems a bit more realistic… unfortunately i coudnt get pink brian… (i hadnt unlocked it yet when that quest appeared)
anyway… with the new task’s duration it gets easier to get more than 20 stinky bombs a day… and you only need to get 50 kids a day…. AKA
1 bomb for 2.5 kids…. (with 20 bombs a day) and you are done
or 5 kids with 10 bombs a day

It didnt switch for me either (I know it’s updated because the task says 150 now) but the characters who were on 8 hour tasks still show the bomb as droppable, ie they didn’t nerf the already assigned task (like they did for the drops with Quagmire and plutonium to unlock Stewie when the Netflix task changed from bathrobe Quagmire to regular and people complained, I’ll see in 6 hours if any of them payout but I’m relieved that tiny co listened (I sent in game thanks to counter the in game complaints I sent earlier (they were polite, constructive, compared things to Comic-Con)

Yeah mine all switched over to 4 hours! Now I just need to hope I can hit 124 of these little buggers in time. I need Jack Skellington to pop up and scare them for a few seconds so I can catch them.

well those are some nice changes. glad they are listening. 4 hr tasks and 50 less to nab should make it easier for many to earn the prize. i’m hoping that if i can stockpile 10 bombs or so i can begin getting the kids massed for max destruction. got 24 today now only need another 125 in 48 hours…

So my town never started spawning trick or treaters from what I get joe is supposed to start it off with the roll out mission but that never happenend for me. My portal upgraded, but no trick or treaters???

I figured out the problem. Apparently It didn’t matter if I had the trick or treaters portal already I jut needed to get to fear level 4. I brewed the confessional, sped up the building of the cannery and now my town is over run with the kids. All is well
