Phase 4 of American Dad hit our Tiny Quahogs late last week…and with it Roger FINALLY arrives in Quahog for good (not just every four hours)! But the CIA are hot on his trail…and this time EVERYONE is a suspect for probing…even Quagmire!
So now let’s take a look at just what’s in store for you during this final phase of American Dad…
Remember, the walkthrough pop ups will depend on where YOU are in the quests and if you have room in your task bar for the new ones to pop up. If you do not see one showing, try clearing out a few others. Give them time to show up.

And that completes the entire main American Dad questline…and in the end the Smiths are staying in Quahog! There will be a short questline for Roger, which will cover in another post, but this is the end of the main questline for the event.
Remember…you do not have to unlock the Smiths before the event ends. You will have as much time as you need to unlock them, as long as you’ve “found” them prior to the event leaving. What this means is you simply have to reach the point where you place/build the item they come with…and start the process of unlocking them.

For those who have already gotten Klaus, would you post what he says. I have no chance of getting him before time runs out (I only have 1 boa and 2 box wines) and I want to know just how disappointed I should be 🙂

Got Klaus with 26 hours to spare, legit, clamless. I hit Stan as soon as he’d finished hiding Roger the last time, and I still needed about half of Frannie’s stuff.
I hope this quest won’t disappear after the 4th. I do not know if I can get through it all before then.

I have all the smiths unlocked and walking around my town. Im working on finishing the main questline now. I also unlocked fat louis and finished her questline, the only thing I missed from this event was forklift peter. I was not lucky enough to get him. I only tried 3 times and decided to save clams for Christmas event. But all in all I enjoyed this event and love american dad

Feeling ripped off right now. I’ve got less than 24 hrs to get 6 wine boxes and 1 boa. The last 3 times everyones job finished it has not dropped a single item and the CIA agents are useless. At this rate I’m gonna miss out on klaus 😦

Of the three boas needed, one of mine came from a CIA agent, one from Hayley’s “action”, and one from a building.

Decided to challenge myself by starting the even as soon as the spaceship was built and I have rodger and everyone butt francine im having really bad luck I only have 8 romance novels out of 15 and I have only 20 hours left 😢

How much longer after the American dad event do you think the rest of District nine will come out, and also do you have any word on costumes for Roger because he is my favorite character from American dad and I like American dad more than family guy personally

I know Christmas is planned for just after AD ends. So not quite sure what they’ll do what the D9/D10 stuff.

Ok so if I’m brand new, just got to district 3, just built the clam stage and placed Stan, Steve, Hayley, and Francine…what do I do to unlock Roger so I can at least place his ship before the event ends? Is there a particular quest line completion to follow to make.him available in the shop?

You need to do part 1 of the Alien inside me, where you hide Roger 1 more time.

I have about three hours left (for two and a half going by the space ship) to check for my last wine box and then I’d have Klaus in the nick of time!
Hopefully I’ll be able to ram through four quest lines before the Christmas event starts so I can just focus on those and have everyone collect stuff for Christmas. Oh I hope there’ll be a Kiss Saves Santa quest!

Love your site! So glad I came here before starting “Klaus timer”! Just have a quick question about Roger. Not sure if someone has asked before; haven’t read all the comments if truth be told. Anyway, just in the process of unlocking Roger, but he doesn’t say anything when tapped. Is he not voiced? Is it a bug? Does he speak when he is unlocked? He used to speak when he was just “passing through”. Sorry if someone asked before.

Got enough time in the klaus challenge for a final 6 chances at a wine box and still need 4 to go! I’m going to need a thanksgiving miracle for this one. Or I guess spend a few clams, if I can get another 2 wine boxes then spend 30 clams on the final two with the 10 you get for the smith set, I think klaus is worth 20 clams. **** my tap happy fingers!

Just got Roger, I also have a decent(ish) amount of coins and clams for the inevitable next event. I would have perhaps added more, but I’ll spend some on SWTOR for 3.0. I do like Klaus, I just expected him to say more. Mine only seems to have two quotes when there are loads of great Klaus quotes to choose. I’m glad they added him as I didn’t think that they had at first and that none of the characters actually required clams. I am enjoying this stuff, I just wish we had more time to recuperate. I’m pretty new to the game and so I didn’t have many characters or buildings. I’m now getting more coins and I have a busy little Quahog but I do find it harder to complete events without spending clams.

I don’t know how to get roger! Francine and Roger were both locked and I haven’t played it since but when I started playing today I could place Francine but not roger! I don’t know what to do!!!

Nope. You have no limit on Smith Family and Roger to earn them. As long as his ship is built and you are collecting BEFORE it ends, you are good. 🙂

I love the event but don’t like the times stuff. I unlocked the Klaus thing too early without knowing about it and now I’ve got just over a day to get everything. And the rare thing that needs 10 items, I’ve only got one! I’m really worried I won’t unlock Roger in time, never mind Klaus. 😥

If you miss Klaus…Roger is still not timed like other Smith’s. So you can keep working on him later. 😉

I have to say I to have noticed more and more of new builds and things to complete quests are asking for clams I have purchased clams from time to time but I’m not willing to always buy. A lot of games you only spend Money when you purchase the app some angry bird games will still update and give new levels even long after purchase! I feel Tinyco are getting a little greedy with the whole clam thing the clams I have are dwindling but I have almost 1,300,000 in coins so I think that proves how many you can buy with coins and how much more you need clams for. When I started this game I had to keep making more coins to build and only the odd premium build existed were you needed clams but now it’s the other way round. A shame really as I’ve loved this game but have to say from time to time recently I have been thinking I may just like there to be some form of completion part to it and the game ends as everything is becoming expensive and clams are needed way too much!

I bought Roger’s place as the “tend bar” task required it. I thought it would be cool to have Roger mixing drinks, but noooo. He just disappears inside of it.mstupid waste of clams!!!
Also, it used to be that occasionally you had a premium building that would help you get items along with a few standard ones. It’s getting harder to unlock characters without premium buildings. It looks like soon you will need more and more premium buildings for collecting…
I’ve happily sunk about $200 into this game, but it’s losing its fun factor because of this…

For me…it has been that way since the beginning. Clam buildings always help get the items faster. I do appreciate though that I am also seeing these clam characters and buildings being dropped back in and reused. Helps take the sting off the cost a bit.

I waited to start the Klaus countdown until I got the last muffin I needed for Francine. Then I accidentally started it when Roger was 1/3 done. I got the boas in a day and a half. One from CIA agent and two from Peter. I have 3 days left on Klaus and only need 3 more wine boxes. I focused on Francine before and just happened to collect for Fat Lois and got her too. I skipped Forklift Peter and missed Intimate Apparell Peter though.

25 hours left and I need 6 wine boxes 😦 which unfortunately don’t drop at a decent rate… So in order to get them I need eiither both bonnie and Bruce to drop them every time from now u til the end or almost every time and maybe 1 or 2 from Rogers spaceship.. But I haven’t gotten a single 1 from the spaceship so far.. So my fingers are crossed !!

Where are people getting all these agents? I have never had more than one at a time – if any. There is no way I will be able to get Claus. I was looking forward to him and think that they really missed out on an opportunity with a great quest line with him. I am disappointed with this event. There is so much they could have done but the American Dad tie in was a real let down.

I’m down to 4 Wine to get Roger. Francine is still being a problem with Lois not dropping that 1 last Muffin, which is really starting to irate me after 3 tries. I could have bought the last Muffin, but I wasted 25 Clams on the Thanksgiving Mystery Box getting Barrel of Peeps. I still have 1 Day 10 hours for Klaus giving me more 3 shots at Lois getting it and maybe more if I get the Wine finished early using Bonnie.

One more wine box and Roger and Klaus are mine! I was a fan of the event, there were a few times I was worried I wouldn’t have time to get everything but I had no problem. I know Alissa said below that Christmas is probably this week, but can I request they hold off? I for one am not in the Christmas spirit at all, though I did manage to get my mom a new iPad Air 2 on Thanksgiving, via internet, screw going to a crazy black Friday sale at an actual store. Hope all you fellow American addicts had a good Thanksgiving!

Have like 1 day left but still need 8boxes of wine… I dont believe they are rare, they are much rarer than the Boas in my game. 3 days of putting Bonnie+bruce on the task (a minimum of twice a day) and the ship every 10 hours, thats 18+ attempts yet only got 2 boxes of wine… I got the boas within 2 days. At this rate it will take me 10days to get all the wine and thats putting them on the task constantly 2/3 times a day. Not sure if I’m really unlucky with wine or if people who got 10within 4 days are just incredibly lucky :S

Just need 4 more wine boxes then Roger is done. Then I may just tap Stan to get Klaus. Funny how Stan has that ! above him and he follows me around the game trying it get me to tap him. I have a quest for the Mayor to do just need him leveled to complete that. Then a quest for Peter from long ago. Peter has been so busy I never got to it. The Heavy Lifting Pt.1. The only clams I used in American Dad was for the Muffin shop, but I liked the building. then I’m thinking of getting the Sand Bar just because then is a bar close to where I live with the same name. And I like the looks of Budget Badass, trying to talk myself into getting them.

I must be missing something as my things for roger our dropping VERY slowly have all people but francine on tasks because I still need 2 muffins for her (Again dropping ridiculously slowly) I can have about 5 CIA agents roaming but they all drop nothing but coins I have just one Boa despite the amount of tasks I have on the go. Rate of box wine drop is ridiculous despite tasks being undertaken and what you get from buildings etc I still only have 3 pecan sandies I do have just 2 to go and I have 9 wigs the last two probably don’t sound too bad but out of 4 or 5 chances of getting the wigs today when I got in from work only one had dropped. It’s just unfair that it seems to be coming so easy for others and not for some! I can’t be on it 24/7 I have to sleep and work but before both I make sure the characters have been put on task for these items and I only have a day and 15 hours to go to get Klaus at this rate I’ll either have to fork out money for clams AGAIN or miss out on getting klaus!

Yep, I too just need a few wine boxes. It appears that those being the last item needed is rather common. It’s not too surprising I suppose with those two eight hour tasks for them.
Is there going to be any need/requirement for the Bitches again during the event? I have SOOO many running around that I keep avoiding thinking there was going to be.

I am SO FAR behind the curve and I guess it’s the old employment getting in the way.. Just finally unlocked Hayley so she’s off occupying whilst I frantically try to collect stuff for Fran and Roger. I just got Fat Lois yesterday and am waiting on her quest line to see if I can get the Smiths.. but NOTHING is dropping! The buildings characters or CIA agents have given me nothing in 24 hours. I’m so screwed.

Managed to get roger this morning mainly because I had loads of agents walking around and they dropped all the boas in one go plus I had a bunch of budget badasses in my inventory, disappointed that klaus is only a deco tho, really enjoyed this AD theme looking forward to the Xmas event ,hoping for more land!!!

Just unlocked Roger this morning. Surprisingly enough the boas all dropped within a day. Super happy I got Klaus even though hes just a deco. This was a mixed relaxed event, can’t wait for a fast paced Christmas.

I agree. I am hoping some animation shows later. I mean Roger himself is a riot, but would like a lil more visual interaction with some buildings for clams. I get there is coding issues, but still would be cool. 🙂

Surprisingly, I’m having more trouble with the rare box wines than the epic feather boas. Only need 1 more boa, but 7 more box wine, and the tasks for it are MUCH longer (10 and 12 hours? Ugh). I accidentally started Klaus’ countdown, and now I’m afraid I might miss out on him. I have just enough clams to get Roger’s Place, but I was kind of hoping to get the Smith House… and i need to get Roger’s Place soon if I’m going to get enough boxed wine for Roger in the time I have left1

Well, if you get Roger’s Place now, you’ll get 10 clams back for unlocking Roger, then you should have plenty of time to collect free clams from neighbors for buying the Smith House. Right Bunny and Alissa? This is based on my understanding of no time limit for acquiring the Smiths and their house.

Weird how when they started the American Dad event there was so much to do that I figured I would never get through it and now I am on part 4 of this quest and should be through part 5 by tomorrow morning. And only have 6 hours to go to finish off all Fat Lois’s quests.
I have enjoyed this phase as there was stuff to do, nice challenges, but nothing ridiculous. It was more relaxing.

Not real thrilled with the combo of needing epic items AND a three day timer in order to get Klaus. So far I just have one boa that dropped from a CIA agent in over two days, plus I’m still trying to get muffins for Francine after having to use Lois to earn her fat suit and Bonnie to earn other things.
There are too many characters available for gathering loot to have this much overlap.

You can build more than 1 cia building that’s how I got all 3 feather boas within a day!

Not enough time to unlock Roger before Klaus’ time is up. 1d 11h left and I still need 6 box-wine and 2 feather-boas. Haley is not level 7 yet so only Peter is working to get the boas. 6 box-wine is also too much for Bonnie and Bruce as it takes 4 and 8 hours to do each.

I assume that the quests remain available after the event has ended?

No. Items needed for many of the quests are ONLY available during the event, so if the items go…so do the questlines linked to them as without them…the quest come to a hault anyway.
