Hello There Clammers!
In about 3hrs the American Dad Event will leave our games (3pm PST, 6pm EST…2300GMT) …for good! So make your FINAL purchases before it’s too late!
Just what’s leaving? EVERYTHING pertaining to American Dad that’s in the store (if you already have it in your game it’s yours forever..). A complete list will be below the fold…for those who aren’t quite sure what’s AD and what’s FG.
What about the characters? As a reminder…Characters that you purchased but did not yet unlock will STAY. You will have unlimited time to finish earning the items needed to collect them. However, if you haven’t yet purchased their item that they come with and placed it in Quahog…you MUST do so before the event ends, otherwise they’ll disappear from the store. Got it? Make sense? No? Here’s a shorter version…
Step 1: Buy characters with Cash.
Step 2: Place in your town.
Step 3: See cute lil bubbles over their head with items to collect.
If you have NOT done steps 1 and 2 and don’t see Step 3 for ANY character related to American Dad (Stan, Steve, Hayley, Francine & Roger)…you will NOT be able to unlock them when the event is over. So I suggest you do steps 1 and 2 before 3pm PST… 🙂

Again…if you’ve purchased ANY of the items from the store below and placed them in your town (or stored them in inventory)…they’re yours FOREVER & won’t disappear when the Event is over..

Roger/ S.S. Bonnie Raitt- $2,000.
REMEMBER: You only have to follow steps 1, 2 and 3 above to have unlimited time to unlock these characters….
Klaus- If you have not started the timer by 3pm PST today…you will lose the chance to get Klaus. However, you have until 3pm PST to start the timer..and once it’s started you’ll have 4 days to earn him. Even after the event ends…
Just start the timer by 3pm PST…
Buildings/Decorations: (again…these WILL NOT be in Quahog when the event ends…so get em while they’re hot!)
Clam Festival Stage: 5×6, $500, $30 & 20 XP every 4hrs
Colonial Barn (w/Stan Smith): 7×8, $1500, $30 & 20 XP every 4hrs
Historical Clam Exhibition Hall: 5×8, $1000, $40 & 25XP every 6hrs
Smith House: 8×12, 100 Clams, $40 & 25XP every 6hrs, Classified Documents (ALWAYS)
Crop Circle: 9×9, $400
Area 51 (Sign): 1×2, $2000
Undercover American Flag: 2×2, 10 Clams
Groff Community College- 75 Clams. Earns $60, 40xp/ 12hrs. Always drops Peace Sign Necklaces.
Moon Bounce- 100 Clams. Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs. Always drops Action Figures.
A ‘Buncha Tools- 50 Clams. Earns $30,20xp/4hrs. Returning from Comic Con. Always drops Protest Signs.
Perman’s Pets- 50 Clams. Earns $30, 20xp/8hrs. Returning from Comic Con. Always drops Tofurkey
Dead Format Records- 100 Clams. Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Returning from Comic Con. Always drops R & B records.
Paper and Stuff- 100 Clams. Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs. Returning from Comic Con. Always drops Megaphones.
Sir Lancewart’s Board Games- 50 Clams. Earns $120, 80xp/12hrs. Returning from Comic Con. Always drops Paintball Guns.
Campsite- $1,500
Clam Festival Sign- $750
Lunar Landing- 50 Clams
CIA Headquarters- $2,000. 8hr build time. Earns $50, 30xp/10hrs
C.I.A Mobile Lab- $1,800. 12hr build time. Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs
Hazmat Tent- $500. 6hr build time. Earns $80, 55xp/20hrs.
Fun ‘N Gun Shooting Range- $5,000. 20hr build time. Earns $140, 90xp/16hrs.
Muffins by Mrs. Smith- 75 Clams. Instant Build. Earns $60, 40xp/10hrs. Always drops Muffins for Francine.
Old Timey Book Store- 100 Clams. Earns $30,20xp/ 4hrs. Always drops Romance Novels.
White Picket Fence- $750/ea section. (YES these will leave after the event!)
Sex Rose Bush- $1,000.
Security Threat Meter- 25 Clams.
Pinky the Missing Linky- 100 Clams.
Bobby the Bullet- 50 Clams.
Roger’s Place- 150 Clams. Earns $30, 20xp/ 8hrs. Always drops Box Wines
Sand Bar- 100 Clams. Earns $10, 5xp/ 4hrs. Always drops Pecan Sandies.
Budget Badass- 150 Clams. Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Always drops Wigs (This is a returning item from the 80’s Cleveland Update
American Dad Billboard- $10,000.
Psychotic Hot Tub- 50 Clams.
Tearjerker Island- 150 Clams
Carl- YES…Carl will leave with American Dad. Hopefully he’ll be back with more free clams again!
Ok guys…that’s EVERYTHING released with the American Dad event that will disappear once the event ends. So HURRY and get everything you want within the next 3hrs before it all disappears!
So what’s next? Well Christmas of course! As many of you saw this in your games yesterday….

It was funny getting the pop up that Carl is leaving, as I not once seen him in my town! lol
I’m still trying to get muffins for Francine, but at least the drop rate appears to have increased. I wanted to have her unlocked before the Christmas event starts but doesn’t look like that will happen…
What time does the Christmas event start anyway? It said it will start today …definitely no time to relax and just enjoy the game before a new event starts.

I had a bad error now…
I started Klaus timer 20 minutes before the en!vent ends and timer was running. The. I logged in before 10 minutes and got an error message (sadly can’t remember what it says) and now Klaus Timer is completely gone and Stans missions that was running too.
I’m really sad cause I waited so long not to click on Stan before and now it all messed up 😦
Contacted Tiny Co already and wait for an answer.
I hope they can fix this cause even Klaus is just decoration I really want him …

I have mixed feelings about this event. I got almost everything I wanted in this event (characters, etc) with little clam outlay so I’m happy about that. Not having Carl (and his free clams) was very frustrating to say the least. Oh well, let’s hope Tiny Co gives us Android players a one time clam bake special.

I had over 20 hours on klaus timer, but he went away. Don’t really care, just a heads up wasn’t expected to be cut off.

Well i had 1 muffin left for Francine and over a day to get Klaus but i jus logged on and the quest is gone. I guess the info they company gave you was wrong

Did any one get the Christmas update yet? Im still going back and forth and no update. Also when will the blimp get fixs its becoming an eye sore everytime I pass it.

With just one more wine case to collect for roger and with 21 hours still left to get klaus, his timer goes away. Ever since carl showed up, his timer went away. Sent a message to tinyco.

Darn, I missed out on buying Sex Rose Bushes. I was on the game and the event was there, checked here for a minute and when I went back it was gone. 😦

It was an unique item, you couldn’t buy more than one…I wanted to buy a bunch of them but it disappeared from the store after one.

Man, Quagmire finished his “Get Probed” task about 30 minutes after the event ended.
Have you figured out a solution to the “posting dialogue” issue? I feel like I miss a lot of the jokes.

I started the timer but found that as the event had come to an end the option to get Klaus disappeared too… and that was with 3 days left??

Got all the Smith family n Klaus without spending any clams but couldn’t resist getting the Smith house. Worth a 100 clams and adds a new home to my town. Can’t wait for the xmas event.

American Dad just left Quahog. Roger Run Amok just popped up for me, 4 hr. task to pass the time. Is this the beginning of Roger’s questline?

I tell myself not to buy anything dumb and then I go off buying the sand bar and the university. The university goes great with my school district and the sand bar just look really good on the beach.

Bought (for clams) Groff Community College, Roger’s Place, and the Smith House. The ones required for the Smith Character’s actions. Didn’t wanna run in to not ever being able to do the respective quests. 🙂
All in all, except for starting the Klaus timer too early, which was my bad, I have liked the American Dad Event muchly. Well done TinyCo!

Managed to get Klaus with just 15 minutes left on the clock for him. I made Bruce and Bonnie work so hard to get those wine cases and they paid off right at the end.

Carl is leaving? He never once even showed up in my town. Missed out on Klaus, still trying to get those damned wine boxes for Roger. I do wish they could find a way to continue the storylines after the event is over, I never get to see how they wrap up.

To be honest, I like the characters but am glad the quest lines are ending. Between the sexy peter, fat peter, fat lois/thanksgiving and American Dad event, Bonnie has been swamped with tasks, long ones at that, and has been the one to hold up progress because she had almost always been required for dropping items which required different tasks that were 4 to 8 to 10 hours long. Exhausting I must say…

Yeah, they flooded too much in too quickly. I couldn’t finish half the questlines. Well, Fat Lois’ first questline (Thanksgiving) and the last American Dad! questline (Roger gets Quagmire probed).

By the same token, if you take away a quest a character is on, free up the character!
I’ve now got Roger smoking for no good reason, unable to start his “Roger Runs Amok” quest line.

Seriously, and What’s wrong with you man? Are the only two phrases he says and he is only 1 square big. I hope no one out the spent clams on a, American Dad character to get him. It feels like a consolation prize and even though I earned him legitimately, I feel serious ripped off. And why no Jeff?!

I refused to spend clams on principal.
I also ran a countdown timer after my Klaus timer ran out, and the additional 16 hours from the Bonnie Raitt build would have been enough to have got him.

Am I right in that even though the characters don’t disappear once you have them, you lose all their quest lines when the event ends?

As many NEED the items going to complete the quests…those will stop as the items won’t be around to buy anyway.

I usually buy all the items soon as they come out regardless of if a quest is asking me to do it (I find that helps when the quests finally do ask so I don’t have to wait for build times), but I understand what you are saying. I was a bit lax in completing the quests because I previously thought ‘characters staying around even if not unlocked’ also meant that the quest lines would stick around, so I ended up putting priority on thanksgiving and district 9 stuff. Though I guess I’m only really missing out on dialog and not any items/characters so I’ll live! 😀

I loved the family guy event. I even managed to get all of the smith family without spending any clams!
Only thing I could complain about is Carl. Between him not dropping clams when I watched the videos or the videos cutting out half way thru I must have lost 30 to 40 clams. Carl, Carl,Carl please don’t come to my town without clams ever again lol

That’s weird because in my town he is 3×2 squares and has absolutely NO dialogue. So I guess ur lucky. All mine does is flip out of his d*~• bowl

i am on the last part of the roger run amok quest line. peter has finished his part & i’ve got roger on a quest to get him to level 5 then i’ll start his part. my question is this: will this quest line continue after the event ends, or am i screwed (unless i use clams to speed it up) as far as getting/being able to finish this quest line?

The thing I like about the American dad event is that it’s using buildings we got in the comicon event so there not just sitting around getting us coins

Actually my buildings didn’t drop those items. I think Lancelot Games gave me one squirt gone but that’s it. The others only dropped coins, and when I clicked on them they didn’t show the items they were supposedly dropping according to the clam versions in the store.

2 days later and Im still waiting on one muffin to drop. I swear they do that on purpose with the last item to collect a character just in hopes that you are impatient enough to get it with clams. I was so mad about the Klaus timer, I think it was totally unrealistic. I play this game 5 times min a day since it started in the last week or so I didnt get half naked peter or the goldfish. Its like I have 20 useless characters running around and only about 5 who can collect stuff for multiple events, it was dumb and just poor planning on their part. I wont be spending a dime on the Christmas event.

Too bad Carl was so bugged for Android. I have only seen him twice I think. Barely any free clams. I kinda expected Tinyco to make him last longer for Android to make up for this big difference compared to other platforms.

LOL. What game have you been playing? When there’s problems with the timing of release on a platform, rarely does it get compensated. We got Rollo Cop, just had to speed our butts off to land him as he was dropped late in the event and was going to leave when Comic Con left (at the same time as IOS based game) even though we lost a week.

With the new event will they give more land?
This aspect is really sad part of a game… I dont remember any building game with such issue with land (am I alone?)… right now without putting smth in storage I can’t fit any more buildings. And most last events buildings (Halloween and American dad) were oversized and took all last acres of precious land… I’m ready even gave away clams but be able to have space for planning and decoring my city, not just breaking my brain trying to fit anywhere anything….

Unfortunately, I think because TBS has stopped showing new American Dad shows until February, so really no need to have him advertising. Maybe if they get ads outside of Seth McFarlane shows maybe Karl could come back to rain clams on us.

How can Carl be leaving when he was never really here in the first place? TinyCo never fixed the bug for certain phones, so I only saw him for about two or three days. Oh the missed free Clam opportunities.

Good Event! Thanks for the tip about the fences. Wouldn’t have thought they would go away. Just bought a 100 for the future. This game may never be about town design the way TSTO is but still good to have just in case.
