Hello There Clammers!
In about 3hrs the American Dad Event will leave our games (3pm PST, 6pm EST…2300GMT) …for good! So make your FINAL purchases before it’s too late!
Just what’s leaving? EVERYTHING pertaining to American Dad that’s in the store (if you already have it in your game it’s yours forever..). A complete list will be below the fold…for those who aren’t quite sure what’s AD and what’s FG.
What about the characters? As a reminder…Characters that you purchased but did not yet unlock will STAY. You will have unlimited time to finish earning the items needed to collect them. However, if you haven’t yet purchased their item that they come with and placed it in Quahog…you MUST do so before the event ends, otherwise they’ll disappear from the store. Got it? Make sense? No? Here’s a shorter version…
Step 1: Buy characters with Cash.
Step 2: Place in your town.
Step 3: See cute lil bubbles over their head with items to collect.
If you have NOT done steps 1 and 2 and don’t see Step 3 for ANY character related to American Dad (Stan, Steve, Hayley, Francine & Roger)…you will NOT be able to unlock them when the event is over. So I suggest you do steps 1 and 2 before 3pm PST… 🙂

Again…if you’ve purchased ANY of the items from the store below and placed them in your town (or stored them in inventory)…they’re yours FOREVER & won’t disappear when the Event is over..

Roger/ S.S. Bonnie Raitt- $2,000.
REMEMBER: You only have to follow steps 1, 2 and 3 above to have unlimited time to unlock these characters….
Klaus- If you have not started the timer by 3pm PST today…you will lose the chance to get Klaus. However, you have until 3pm PST to start the timer..and once it’s started you’ll have 4 days to earn him. Even after the event ends…
Just start the timer by 3pm PST…
Buildings/Decorations: (again…these WILL NOT be in Quahog when the event ends…so get em while they’re hot!)

Colonial Barn (w/Stan Smith): 7×8, $1500, $30 & 20 XP every 4hrs

Area 51 (Sign): 1×2, $2000
Undercover American Flag: 2×2, 10 Clams
Groff Community College- 75 Clams. Earns $60, 40xp/ 12hrs. Always drops Peace Sign Necklaces.
Moon Bounce- 100 Clams. Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs. Always drops Action Figures.
A ‘Buncha Tools- 50 Clams. Earns $30,20xp/4hrs. Returning from Comic Con. Always drops Protest Signs.
Perman’s Pets- 50 Clams. Earns $30, 20xp/8hrs. Returning from Comic Con. Always drops Tofurkey

White Picket Fence- $750/ea section. (YES these will leave after the event!)

Security Threat Meter- 25 Clams.
Pinky the Missing Linky- 100 Clams.
Bobby the Bullet- 50 Clams.
Roger’s Place- 150 Clams. Earns $30, 20xp/ 8hrs. Always drops Box Wines

Carl- YES…Carl will leave with American Dad. Hopefully he’ll be back with more free clams again!
Ok guys…that’s EVERYTHING released with the American Dad event that will disappear once the event ends. So HURRY and get everything you want within the next 3hrs before it all disappears!

Just wondering if you Guys know if the update is still scheduled to hit ‘tonight’ or been delayed till like tomorrow or something cause I’ll stay up if it hits in an hour or two but otherwise I’ll go to bed

The American Dad event was fun & I even managed to get Klaus without buying any clams (which I seriously considered this time-sorry tiny co, no $ yet!).
Thanks for this website, you do a great job helping us enjoy the game! I’m totally addicted even tho I may whine when events have difficult tasks…so excited for Xmas in Quahog!

Sorry, but your game is busted…you’re trying to release things so fast you’re not even giving proper notification of things…I’ve been in the game a zillion times since the American Dad stuff showed up, and I never once saw a notification that Carl was in the game…he also never showed up in my menus, because I went there a ton of times looking for Roger…was he an unlock? What happened???

Carl did not play nice with the game. He wasn’t an actual character, just a side thing. He showed up when he wanted, which for 90% of players was rarely to never. They may bring him back again after smacking him around a few times and getting him to behave next go round. Great idea, just didn’t work the way they wanted. They were TRYING to give everyone some free clams for watching American Dad ads. Oh well, at least they tried. 😉

So, question. I have Roger still waiting to be unlocked but I never built the CIA headquarters so I guess that means I’ll never get Roger unless I spend 50 clams for all 5 pecan sandies?

No you’ll have tasks for it….here’s the Pecan Sandie detail:
5 Pecan Sandies (Uncommon)- Earned By: Make Stan Keep America Safe OR Make Francine Show off Her Muffins OR Get from CIA Headquarters OR Get from Sand Bar

Which means as long as you have Francine unlocked you’ll have a way to get pecan sandies. since of the 4 sources, 2 require the CIA HQ, and the other is a premium building that is also gone from the store. If you didn’t get Francine, then yeah, you’ll have to buy them.

I really do love this game. Stoked for this upcoming Christmas event but I will say one thing has to change……the ability to put roads on any tile is a must needed feature to include in a upcoming update. AND more land is needed. I get everything takes time and money, but quit feeding us pointless buildings if we do not have anywhere to put them. Keep up the great work TinyCo, your nailing the events

Hey just wondering if anyone else had this happen.. Glitch maybe? or games being generous haha… My timer for klaus ended at least a day a go I would even say two but just now I collected Francine off a task she was doing and the box pops up with Stan saying you got all of us now and Klaus was added to my inventory.

well then if that’s what they do, in my opinion they should explain why they lied about the start date of the event, because the wee hours of the morning would be the 5th, not the 4th.

It’s only 9:30 TinyCo time. It’s still the 4th there. And i meant wee hours of the morning my time…which can still be the previous day TinyCo time. Patience.
I know you (and everyone else) are anxious for it to start. But good things come to those who wait. And it’s possible they are ensuring that there are no issues with the event once it hits, which can account for the slow roll out as well.

oh ok. i don’t mean to come across as being impatient. i guess i’m just a little antsy for it because i’m staying up later than i usually do (it’s 11 49 pm where i am) to make sure i get going on it at the start & don’t loose any of those starting hours.

Still before 10PM their time. So technically, they do have 2 hours before the 4th is over. Honestly, I PREFER them testing it like they are before release to ensure any hiccups are caught BEFORE it hits millions of devices. 🙂

I’m from the Philippines and just earlier today, there was a notification saying that Carl from American Dad is leaving coz the AD event is over. I was not able to get Klaus, but to my surprise they gave him free. I think it’s because of successfully unlocking all AD characters. So don’t worry if you haven’t unlocked Klaus in 4 days, you still have until 4pm PST today to get him as a token ☺️

Only very few devices got the test. When they are sure it looks good to go, it will go out to everyone. But it is JUST snow right now. Nothing more. Nothing special. No items, no quest, no characters…JUST snow. 😉

he only worked twice for me, you had to update the game from the play store if your on android and then he appeared.

Here’s an idea. Make Carl a freemium character with a low percentage chance to earn clams for his tasks.

I update FG and it’s Christmas Theme and there are huge area behind the Peter’s house – the usual space for events – but there is nothing but woods..I’m wondering if my game already has glitch. I was expecting Santa’s workshop or something but nothing. no tasks yet. Is it normal?

As it seems others have reported, I also got Klaus, even though my original timer ran out earlier today! I went back in to my game just a moment ago and Stan started the Klaus timer again for me. Luckily I only needed one box of wine which I got at the same time. Possible glitch? Or did they decide to do something nice since they didn’t update the game for the Christmas event yet?

I noticed something about haleys task, attend charety event, that uses dansu dansu. If you have the one that came out of the mistery box and sold the one you bought like I did, it wont let you use it. I had to buy a new one before it would let me send her on that task.

Hey, what happened with my Roger quest? I forgot what it was called, but I just had Bonnie and Bruce get checked for clam disease, then they wanted me to have Stan and Steve get checked while Roger was finding something to wear.
I just logged in and Roger is still finding something to wear, but the quest is gone and is replaced with Roger Runs Amok Part 1.
Also, I hear people got Klaus for free? Meh, I wasted 200 clams rushing to get him. I’ve never spent that much so fast.

The timer for claus ran out yesterday for me, I was unabel to get Claus, this morning I got the last dam muffin for Francine. I recently loged in and noticed Stan had a quest it was to get all the smith’s to unlock Claus, the timer began all over again with 3 days left. I had all the smiths and was able to get Claus. Tinyco relly knows how to make their audiences happy 😀

So I started the Klaus timer ran out of time before I could get Rodger unlocked. I got Rodger unlocked yestday and I came on a minute ago and I saw ! On Stan tapped on him and it said that I won the whole family and just got Klaus.

Just logged in and I’ve had a pop-up tell me that Klaus is unlocked. Totally confused (but excited) ‘cos his timer ran out about 2 days ago. Some positive action being taken by TinyCo to reflect the grumblings over the event timer perhaps(?)

It’s 10:30 here but I refuse to go to sleep until this event is released! I think since I’ve been complaining about land, I might do a redesign from the ground up to give me something to do and prioritize the Christmas event.
Speaking of which (sorta)..
I’ve been seeing people upset that they missed Claus, and I was SUPER angry because I thought I missed some task to get SANTA Claus! Then I realized it was the fish and now I’m okay.

Enjoyed the opportunity to get the Smiths through this event but TinyCo needs to work on the pacing of unlocks vs. quests. I didn’t get to complete a single questline from American Dad or Thanksgiving because all of the relevant characters were working on unlocking other characters. Missed Klaus because of the lack of warning, too. Eagerly anticipating the Christmas event, though. All of my characters are ready this time!

i completed ALL american dad && thanksgiving questlines except for the very last one for Roger, but that doesnt bother me at all. i also managed to unlock ALL american dad characters too, plus Fat Lois 🙂 didnt have a problem at all completing quests plus unlocking characters on the side.

first time on this website and not sure if already talked about .. But what going on with the blimp? And I’m pretty sure the Pop up for the Christmas event said it was going to start today on the 4th.. Maybe I was wrong .

Christmas will start today…remember TinyCo is on the west coast of the US so it’s about 10 to 7pm there right now.
And no one knows on the blimp. Hopefully with D10 it will continue…but TinyCo is being very tight lipped about it.

Ummmm……. got the Christmas update, downloaded, started playing, a nice Christmas screen popped up, everything in the game is covered in snow, all my characters are walking around free, and……. nothing is happening. No characters are prompting any dialogue or quests. Anyone else?

Thanks for your reply to the other question. 🙂 I started the Klaus timer BEFORE the American Dad event ended. It still had 3 days and a couple of hours on it. Unless I’m going completely insane, I thought the timer would remain after the event had finished? The timer has now gone though. 😦 Have I got the wrong end of the stick or is it a bug? I still need one wine box (every other AD character is unlocked), but I thought as the timer was going to be there after event it would be pointless shelling out clams. Was this wrong? Sorry for the length of the post!

Thanks for the info. After getting the last wine box and updating the game this morning, Stan had an exclamation mark above his head and Klaus appeared in the inventory. So it’s all good. 🙂

Agent tells Quagmire he free to go and isn’t an alien. Quagmire is happy to be found human and asks what the agents do with the used probes. The agent replies that they send them to a famous actor (whose name escapes me right now). Collect quest loot.
Then the three Smiths (Stan, Steve and Francine) go to Clam festival for next stage explained below.

It was a good event, but a little frustrating that the quests disappear before we realistically have a chance to complete them (even us hourly players). I want to know what happened to Quagmire after he got probed…

Nailed it right on the head buddy. We need to know what happened to Quagmire and what would happen in the following task that no one even came close to getting to play unless they bought Roger flat out or were extremely lucky and got every drop lol. Bad ending to an otherwise fun, but rushed, event.

When I got the pop up for Carl, I had completely forgot about him. He only popped up in my town TWICE since the up grade for android.

Ever since the pop up about the christmas event came up yesterday my graphics have been glitched out horribly. Most of the screen is black, I can see ‘done’ checkmakrs, and coins, I can collect stuff and assign tasks, but can’t see anything.
I figured it would clear itself up but its still happening and I didn’t read about anyone else having the same problem. I did force close and restart, once i a blue moon its fine but just once or twice out of 40 restarts. Anyone else getting this?

I have a Tab S as well and this seemed to be a problem for me during the Halloween Event. I’ve gotten in the habit of closing FG properly by using the back button and then bringing up the task window and swiping the game off. Haven’t had the problem since I started this routine. 😆
