Hello There Clammers!
The Christmas update is NOT, I repeat NOT live in our games…yet. Right not they are doing some testing on it to make sure the 1.5 version is going OK. So a small amount of you will see the update hit your app markets.
Again, this is JUST prep work/testing. So those that get it will ONLY see the icon, Splash Screen, and snow in town. NO tasks, NO items, NO event. We will post more when it goes live.
Well…that is unless we fall asleep waiting for it to hit. It HAS been a very long day for both of us. Lol
So hang in there. We’ll get the info out when we can.
Of course the net goes down and up as we posted this. The Update IS here. We are working on stats now. Will update soon. MORE INFO COMING!!

Some more details below the fold…
Ok guys this is just like Halloween…you have to earn Cookiees to buy stuff (like Spirit vials) AND you have Holiday Cheer (like Fright points). You also have the ability to craft/create gifts at Santa’s Workshop (like the cauldron). So you guys should know a lot of the drill by now…
This event is very Lois heavy in the beginning. And a lot of short tasks that you should progress through quickly. The stopping point will come when you craft your first gift, which will take an hr. And then you’ll have another task to build the Quahog Mall, which will take 4hrs to build. If you’re looking to rest tonight…that might be your best stopping point….
New Buildings..
Quahog Mall- 50 Gingerbread. 4hr Build. Chance to drop the Star needed for Sexy Santa Lois. Also Earns 8 Gingerbread and 1 Holiday Cheer/4hrs.
Gingerbread Shack- 100 Clams. Always drops 50 Gingerbread/4hrs. Also drops 5 Holiday Cheer.
Gingerbread Trailer- 250 Clams. Always drops 250 Gingerbread/8hrs. Also drops 60 Holiday Cheer
Gingerbread House- 600 Clams. Always drops 1,000 Gingerbread/12hrs. Also drops 200 Holiday Cheer.

Buildings to Repair…
Train Station- Requires 200 Gingerbread and 8hrs. DO NOT DO THIS UNTIL YOU’RE READY….it triggers a timed event for a character! See below..
Note: It looks like TinyCo has learned from Halloween…and you cannot repair the Train Station until the task triggers. Progress through quiet a bit of the main questline and then the quest will trigger. Be patient.. 🙂

Sexy Santa Lois!
Sexy Santa Lois starts once you’ve started the Naughty or Nice quest….(this happens around Part 6 or 7 of Miracle on Spooner Street) Here’s what you’ll need to unlock her:
500 Gingerbread Cookies (Game Currency…once you use them for her they will disappear)
15 Christmas Stars (Uncommon)- Earned by: Make Jerome Play Ball OR Make Chris Nose Goblins OR Make Cleveland Grab a Beer OR Get from Quahog Mall OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
7 Santa Dresses (Rare)- Earned By: Make Lois Freshen Up OR Make Bonnie Go to Ladies Night OR Get From Smith House OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
5 Mistletoe (Rare)- Earned by: Make Peter Put Up the Tree OR Make Quagmire Enjoy Carrots OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
For those curious…the rush rate is around 300 Clams (depending on how many Gingerbread you have)
Jasper!
Brian’s family is coming to Quahog! And Jasper can be found at the Quahog Train Station….BUT be WARNED. Once you repair the train station you only have 7 Days to Unlock him! So DO NOT repair the train station until you’re ready.
Here’s what you’ll need to unlock Jasper:
Happy Greek- Get the Happy Greek From a Holiday Gift Box
Dance Studio- Get the Dance Studio From a Striped Gift Box
Cheer Stage- Get the Cheer Stage from a Striped Gift Box.
Or you can instantly unlock for 300 clams.
Squatters
There are two types of Squatters with the event…Snowmen and Mall Santa’s (and apparently CIA Agents, as they’re still roaming the streets of my Quahog!)
Snowmen
Just tap them and they’ll go away. Plus you’ll earn event currency!
Mall Santa’s
For these you will need Sexy Santa Lois and/or Jasper to clear. Each Mall Santa takes 2hrs to clear and earns you 10 Gingerbread and 2 Holiday Cheer. Plus the chance for a doll to drop!

Triggers by Peter AFTER you Craft Sexy Santa Lois.
Clear 10 Mall Santa’s in 4 Days and you’ll unlock the North Pole sign!
Collect ALL the weekly prizes for the Grand Prize (not announced yet)

Craft presents using items you collect! As of week 1 there are 2 present options…
Holiday Gift Box- Each one is 150 Gingerbread and 5 Candy Canes.
Striped Gift Box- Each one is 300 Gingerbread, 5 Candy Canes and 5 Dolls
You won’t know what’s inside until you’ve crafted it!
Here’s how you earn..
Candy Canes: Earned By: Clearing Snowmen OR Get from Goody Gumdrop’s
Doll- Earned By: Clearing Mall Santas OR Get from Lucky’s Orphanage
The boxes do take time to craft. The first one takes 1hr…
And once it’s complete you’ll see this popup…
Again you won’t know what’s inside until you open it. So head over to the Tree and open up your new gift! 🙂
Holiday Cheer…
Collect Holiday Cheer to upgrade your Christmas tree! The bigger the tree/cheer the more Squatters will come to Quahog! (Mall Santa’s and Snowmen)
And yes…as of right now there are Clam rewards when you reach a new Level. Follow along with The Cheer Squad questline to earn clams for reaching cheer levels!
Secret Santa…
For the first time during a TQFS Event there’s a Social Element to it! (Remember the only way to have friends in this game is via Facebook. And if you’re looking for friends check out our Add Me Thread here.)
You can leave a Secret Santa Gift for a neighbor…and they’ll get rewards for it and you’ll get a chance for Clams! (and rewards too!)
Below is from the in game FAQs. This will explain it better than I can at 3:30 am…
How does Social Gifting work?
Bonnie can create Secret Santa Gifts by performing the “Wrap a Gift” action. You’ll be able to see how many Secret Santa Gifts you have by viewing the counter on the Multiverse button.
When you visit an eligible friend’s Quahog, you’ll see a button on the top right corner of the screen with the number of Secret Santa Gifts you own. If you tap on it, you’ll leave your friend a box that they can open to receive wonderful prizes. You can gift each friend one gift box each day.
Whenever you give a friend a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll also receive Christmas Cookies and a chance for clams!
How do I open Secret Santa Gifts?
When you receive a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll see a message telling you to open the box by your Christmas tree. To open it, tap on the box!
You can open one Secret Santa Gift per day. If you receive more than one box per day, you’ll be able to open another after 24 hours have passed.
Santa’s Wish List…
Fulfill various wishes (usually via the Crafting part) to unlock Santa for your Quahog!
How do I use the Christmas Wishlist?
Tap on Santa’s Sleigh to access the Christmas Wishlist. You can fulfill wishes by collecting the items that characters have asked for. Fulfilling a wish unlocks a new Christmas action for that character.
How do I get Santa?
If you complete every wish on the Christmas Wishlist, you’ll receive Santa!
District 10…
You’ll notice it’s there…but it’s locked! The land is smokey and you can’t access it just yet. It’s coming soon…so be patient and enjoy Christmas! 🙂

hm… For the first time in a while, I’m actually happy the kindle update hasn’t hit quite yet. Logged in and went kind of rabid over the new land to the northwest and put my laborers to work on the 24 hour clearing tasks… ^^;;

I got a bit excited about opening the gift box that I opened the gift box a bit too early. I didn’t get a chance to look at what other possible gifts it might hold. Did you get a chance to see what the other gifts might be?

Cris Drafting Table dropped from holiday gift box. Before I opened the box, the “prizes” buttom was bugged and didn’t showed what could drop from it. Can you print the prizes here? The other gift wish from the characters, are they from the gift boxes?

Ah man, this “Surprise! You have run out of friends to invite” bug is really going to suck now. I have two friends and one of them is Ollieland. I would love to invite my wife, so I can send her gifts. What sucks is TinyCo never got back to me when I asked about it. I found out here that it’s just some weird bug that affects some of us and not others.

I believe the “invite” process is only useful to send requests in FB to ask friends to start playing the game. Ever since the first time I started playing, as soon as I add a new friend in FB they immediately show up in the game. So maybe if you unfriend her and then refriend her she will automatically get added in your game.
This is how I get my FB friends in the game. I think the invite process was just a spam tool to send out invites to all your friends.

Actually Ollieland works both to send and receive gifts. Since you can only open one a day yourself, you should be able to exchange one gift per day without any real friends. More friends would just give you the chance to send more, but there’s a limit on that due to Bonnie’s task length.

So in order to get Jasper we must repair the train station and collect the stuff required to unlock him, correct? I’m confused because my train station is perfectly intact with nothing to click on that gives an option to repair it. Anyone else have this issue?

The repair option, I don’t think, will trigger until the task pops up for him. After the fiasco with Dianne I think they put some fail safes in this one..

I didn’t unlock rodger in enough time to get klaus before time ran out. But got him afterwards But when I updated for Christmas I got a message that said you got all the smith family so you earned klaus. Sweeeeeeet!! Anyone else get this message ????

I’d like to ask 2 questions:
1.) When does the option become available to repair the train station because it hasn’t popped up for me yet? Do I need to have built the quahog mall for the option to repair the train station appear?
2.) Do the prizes inside the holiday gift boxes and striped gift boxes repeat themselves or are they unique and non-repeatable, thus earning one prize of each (similar to the recent mystery boxes)?

After the issues with Dianne it may not appear until the task actually pops up honestly. I unfortunately wasn’t paying attention to it…and didn’t notice it was there until the quest for Jasper popped up

I didn’t waste my clams trying for Forklift Peter, but I had won 50 with my free try, so I went ahead and got the Griffin house skin. Not too bad a deal I think because it drops currency AND always drops an item you need for Santa Lois. I’m also happy they this time they are using the Smith house and Cleveland to earn things because I made both of those clam purchases too. So TinyCo is not letting those clams be in vain! Yay!

W the 200 clam buildings for the stockings U only receive one every 8 hours?! The snowmen drop em like crazy n there’s a bunch of santas. Just one every 8 hours is horrible. Think I’ll save my 200 clams…atleast on the green ones. Maybe red ones will b more rare

Santa Lois isn’t timed. The Weekly Challenge doesn’t start until after you get Lois…and the Jasper part timer only starts once you repair the train station

Updates to Kindle are typically delayed…as much as a few days. It’s an issue with Amazon and the approvals. TinyCo sends all the App stores the update at the same time, and for whatever reason Amazon takes significantly longer to approve it than Android and iOS.

When crafting the first gift, at 30 minutes it allowed to speed up for ZERO clams… So of course I took advantage of the good deal…

Thanks as always for keeping up on things, ladies. Was about to go to sleep when I saw your update, so thanks to you I was able to get a jump on things. I agree, the nmall is the best time to stop and go to sleep. It looks like a strong start and I can’t wait to see what’s to come!

Update installed! It’s snowing in Quahog and it’s glorious! Tapping on the snowmen and getting but I’m afraid of another timed event.
Also, are FBI agents still spawning? They’re still wandering around in my town.

I think it’s a glitch in the coding…they should go away but they haven’t. Probably in a few days they’ll disappear…

Christmas is NOW in Quahog, but I’m not happy that it will take a total 1550 clams to get the buildings required to help get more item drops, 100 of those clams is to decorate the Griffin house.
As much as I love this game, I think TinyCo need to sort away of getting more clams into the game or changing the clams to coins, I have unlimited coins, and only 8 clams.

True. But then I had the money to purchase them, but it’s 3 weeks to Christmas, and I haven’t got the money this month. Surely as its Christmas, they could have at least done something less clam based and more coin based.

How true. If this event is like last events, there will be a steady stream of new items that cost more clams. Just to get this first wave would cost us approximately $50. That’s insane!
I think what really kills it for me is the Griffin house decoration costing clams. It seems to me that at least t,he main characters deco would cost coins.
In any case, the joy has left this game for me. I’m done.

I joined the game two weeks into Comic Con, spent about $20 and was surprised to be able to get Takei. Did the Halloween event and spent zero clams and got every last thing available, including the slimer prize and still had 4k Spirit Vials left over, though at one point I didn’t think I’d get Mr. Weed, but I did. Not one clam spent, and even got all of the Ghostbusters prizes. I log on about 4 times a day for 10-15 mins at a time, and have no trouble. The only challenge thus far that I haven’t been able to get is Bitch Stewie. I needed 3 more of the bubble beards when time ran out and wouldn’t pay clams. That one was pretty impossible in my opinion, but everything else has been pretty achievable otherwise.

I haven’t bought any of the buildings that require clams for any of the events and had no issues getting all the fremium items from the event. Just takes a little patience.

I’ve been playing it from the second I got your email post that it wasn’t up yet, but it was there! So I’m up to the 1 hour tree quest, it seems to run very stable. No crashes or glitches yet.

Pretty good so far shelled out that one clam tospeed up the gift and already got it back with brians inspiration corner… wish more characters where useful and its awesome we got new land but it is expensive…. cant wait to get the pawtucket brewery!!!! Merry Christmas
