The Christmas update is NOT, I repeat NOT live in our games…yet. Right not they are doing some testing on it to make sure the 1.5 version is going OK. So a small amount of you will see the update hit your app markets.
Again, this is JUST prep work/testing. So those that get it will ONLY see the icon, Splash Screen, and snow in town. NO tasks, NO items, NO event. We will post more when it goes live.
Well…that is unless we fall asleep waiting for it to hit. It HAS been a very long day for both of us. Lol
So hang in there. We’ll get the info out when we can.
Of course the net goes down and up as we posted this. The Update IS here. We are working on stats now. Will update soon. MORE INFO COMING!!

Ok guys this is just like Halloween…you have to earn Cookiees to buy stuff (like Spirit vials) AND you have Holiday Cheer (like Fright points). You also have the ability to craft/create gifts at Santa’s Workshop (like the cauldron). So you guys should know a lot of the drill by now…
This event is very Lois heavy in the beginning. And a lot of short tasks that you should progress through quickly. The stopping point will come when you craft your first gift, which will take an hr. And then you’ll have another task to build the Quahog Mall, which will take 4hrs to build. If you’re looking to rest tonight…that might be your best stopping point….
New Buildings..
Quahog Mall- 50 Gingerbread. 4hr Build. Chance to drop the Star needed for Sexy Santa Lois. Also Earns 8 Gingerbread and 1 Holiday Cheer/4hrs.
Gingerbread Shack- 100 Clams. Always drops 50 Gingerbread/4hrs. Also drops 5 Holiday Cheer.
Gingerbread Trailer- 250 Clams. Always drops 250 Gingerbread/8hrs. Also drops 60 Holiday Cheer

Note: It looks like TinyCo has learned from Halloween…and you cannot repair the Train Station until the task triggers. Progress through quiet a bit of the main questline and then the quest will trigger. Be patient.. 🙂

Sexy Santa Lois starts once you’ve started the Naughty or Nice quest….(this happens around Part 6 or 7 of Miracle on Spooner Street) Here’s what you’ll need to unlock her:

15 Christmas Stars (Uncommon)- Earned by: Make Jerome Play Ball OR Make Chris Nose Goblins OR Make Cleveland Grab a Beer OR Get from Quahog Mall OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
7 Santa Dresses (Rare)- Earned By: Make Lois Freshen Up OR Make Bonnie Go to Ladies Night OR Get From Smith House OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
5 Mistletoe (Rare)- Earned by: Make Peter Put Up the Tree OR Make Quagmire Enjoy Carrots OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
For those curious…the rush rate is around 300 Clams (depending on how many Gingerbread you have)
Jasper!
Brian’s family is coming to Quahog! And Jasper can be found at the Quahog Train Station….BUT be WARNED. Once you repair the train station you only have 7 Days to Unlock him! So DO NOT repair the train station until you’re ready.
Here’s what you’ll need to unlock Jasper:
Happy Greek- Get the Happy Greek From a Holiday Gift Box
Dance Studio- Get the Dance Studio From a Striped Gift Box
Cheer Stage- Get the Cheer Stage from a Striped Gift Box.
Or you can instantly unlock for 300 clams.
Squatters
There are two types of Squatters with the event…Snowmen and Mall Santa’s (and apparently CIA Agents, as they’re still roaming the streets of my Quahog!)
Snowmen
Just tap them and they’ll go away. Plus you’ll earn event currency!
Mall Santa’s
For these you will need Sexy Santa Lois and/or Jasper to clear. Each Mall Santa takes 2hrs to clear and earns you 10 Gingerbread and 2 Holiday Cheer. Plus the chance for a doll to drop!

Triggers by Peter AFTER you Craft Sexy Santa Lois.
Clear 10 Mall Santa’s in 4 Days and you’ll unlock the North Pole sign!

Craft presents using items you collect! As of week 1 there are 2 present options…
Holiday Gift Box- Each one is 150 Gingerbread and 5 Candy Canes.
Striped Gift Box- Each one is 300 Gingerbread, 5 Candy Canes and 5 Dolls
You won’t know what’s inside until you’ve crafted it!

Holiday Cheer…
Collect Holiday Cheer to upgrade your Christmas tree! The bigger the tree/cheer the more Squatters will come to Quahog! (Mall Santa’s and Snowmen)
And yes…as of right now there are Clam rewards when you reach a new Level. Follow along with The Cheer Squad questline to earn clams for reaching cheer levels!
Secret Santa…
For the first time during a TQFS Event there’s a Social Element to it! (Remember the only way to have friends in this game is via Facebook. And if you’re looking for friends check out our Add Me Thread here.)
You can leave a Secret Santa Gift for a neighbor…and they’ll get rewards for it and you’ll get a chance for Clams! (and rewards too!)
Below is from the in game FAQs. This will explain it better than I can at 3:30 am…
How does Social Gifting work?
Bonnie can create Secret Santa Gifts by performing the “Wrap a Gift” action. You’ll be able to see how many Secret Santa Gifts you have by viewing the counter on the Multiverse button.
When you visit an eligible friend’s Quahog, you’ll see a button on the top right corner of the screen with the number of Secret Santa Gifts you own. If you tap on it, you’ll leave your friend a box that they can open to receive wonderful prizes. You can gift each friend one gift box each day.
Whenever you give a friend a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll also receive Christmas Cookies and a chance for clams!
How do I open Secret Santa Gifts?
When you receive a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll see a message telling you to open the box by your Christmas tree. To open it, tap on the box!
You can open one Secret Santa Gift per day. If you receive more than one box per day, you’ll be able to open another after 24 hours have passed.
Santa’s Wish List…
Fulfill various wishes (usually via the Crafting part) to unlock Santa for your Quahog!
How do I use the Christmas Wishlist?
Tap on Santa’s Sleigh to access the Christmas Wishlist. You can fulfill wishes by collecting the items that characters have asked for. Fulfilling a wish unlocks a new Christmas action for that character.
How do I get Santa?
If you complete every wish on the Christmas Wishlist, you’ll receive Santa!

You’ll notice it’s there…but it’s locked! The land is smokey and you can’t access it just yet. It’s coming soon…so be patient and enjoy Christmas! 🙂

Hey, i’m a newbie to this but good work ladies! Just found a spoiler in glitch and thought i’d share being a first time poster but read on here alot! I’ve just managed to purchase the scary looking elves who wonder round for the orice of 1 coin! If someone can advise how to post a picture I took screenshots as it glitched to show Slimer from Ghostbusters over the top plus the Kool Aid Quest repeated and The crane repaired

So I logged on and it said new decos. There were 2 pictures of slimers butt (not kidding was really of his butt lol), both for 1 coin.
“Moving elf deco” and “moving reindeer deco” naturally I bought a few, but after a buying a few the game closed down and when it came back the decos were gone and the ones out were too but the ones in the inventory were still there. No idea what happend haha.
Strange thing was, when I bought them it came up “are you sure?” As if it was clams. Also I assume they are supposed to look different but they both looked like goblins. i’m assuming it was a glitch and once they are fixed I hope tinyco are nice enough to ‘forget’ about the ones in my inventory, or else I want a full 10coin refund! Haha.
Just wondering, is it worth adding random friends for christmas presents? Doesnt look like you get many to hand out, so it seems like it might be a waste of time because its unlikely you get one of the few presents. If so, is there a thread for finding new ‘friends’?
Hope this comment wasnt too confusing, haha. Still confused about the decos. 😛

Aw, they took it off me. Funny enough they actually gave me the full 10coins back.
Guess they are getting ready to release them later and because of the bugs/busy server they appeared in my shop. Unfortunatly they fixed it haha.

An interesting glitch right now. A free oil platform and a boom box just appeared as new items in my buildings but you can’t place the first one and if you try to build the latter, it crashes the game. Looks like some “leftover” coding.

I noticed the same thing! Also the boom box came back, two new decos with the green gooey ghost from ghostbusters icons and when you clicked it, ollie came up and asked if you wanted to buy one elf for 1 coin and the quest for pink brian… Lol

Game seems to be kinda tripping out. Just had some weird deco glitches in the store section. Then the game crashed, and when I came back it seems to have gone back to the future a bit. Chris had a quest to get a job with the Kool Aide man. I can’t imagine that was suppsoed to happen.

I think I glitches my game. There is now a decoration that is an animated elf that runs around, I bought some since they were 1 coin.Also iI was not playing TQFS during the Kool aid man event, however in the same “glitch” a boom box appeared and I got it for free. The koolaid man event started but I can’t get the ice Cubes cause none of the buildings are there.

I’m fine with the crashes, I know they’re working on it… I love the event so far! The moment I saw Santas face, I remembered that Sants brings Stewies plutonium in one of the Christmas episodes… I bet that’s where we’re gonna pick up that quest.

I was like a kid in a candy store waiting for the update yesterday! I’m so excited!!! Quahog in snow is soo pretty. The quest looks good so far. I can’t wait to see how it progress’. (It 2ould be nice for the previous specialty characters to be included in new events and he able to get stuff for me. Even.if it’s an.action for gingerbread men)
My game keeps crashes since I did the update!!! But it sounds like most people are having that issue – expected with a huge update like this.
One thing made up upset and disappointed!!!!
SO MANY PREMIUM HOUSES!!!! I REALLY WANT THEM, BUT I ADDED IT UP ITS ABOUT 1500 CLAMS FOR EVERYTHING AND THAT’S $50.00 BUCKS!!!!! I don’t have that kind of money to spend on a game, plus my husband and I both play and you have to times that by 2. That’s $100.00 on a game right before Christmas, I think Tinyco is starting out price themselves. I LOVE my game. I play it all the time, it’s so addictive!!! I wish the premium stuff didn’t all cost clams!

i just updated from the normal version of the game. and the loading screen was displayed. it then crashes and now when i try to open the game i just get a black screen. I have even uninstalled and cleared app cache and reinstalled but it still wont load for me 😦

What should I invest in so far? Buildings that give me Gingerbread men or stockings? I really am very careful with my clam spending so I want to get the most bang for my buck.

Nothing just yet…do the wait and see approach honestly. Gingerbread Men are more powerful than the stockings…cause they unlock EVERYTHING. But personally I’d wait on everything right now.. (unless you see something you REALLY want)

Ok… so… events are fun, but when they come one after another like this they start to become a chore and inventories fill up with rubbish when people run out of space for all the items, it’s a bit annoying because I feel like I have to do it in case I miss out on some awesome item or character… oh well..!

Rather disappointing that they didn’t bother to put snow on the ground for ALL the buildings, so you have all these random patches of green still showing.

Some of those have skins in the presents. Probably why they avoided making them snowy.

Green appears because of the way the building’s graphics were designed. The artist used green to fill in the space instead of the color assigned to be invisible. Just considered all the green patches as being pre-shoveled and cleared of snow.

Oh wow, this looks so great already! I’m captivated by the pretty falling snowflakes in my game (snow is always prettier when you won’t have to shovel it). I foresee myself needing more clams because I “have to” have the pretty buildings. Thank you ladies!! Your dedication (read: lack of sleep) is amazing and much appreciated!

Since the update my game doesn’t start anymore. I just get a black screen (same happened with the comiccon event). I tried all the usual troubleshooting. Guess i won’t be playing this christmas (with comiccon i also had to wait till the event was over)

I really think it’s something with your device and these MASSIVE updates. This is a HUGE update and I have a feeling that’s what’s causing it. Do you have access to another device you can try it on?

I’m having the same issue on my emulated Droid 4.2.2 in Genymotion and my emulated Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Droid 4.3 crashes on load since the update. Fortunately that’s just for my secondary account. The Galaxy S5 Active is working fine thank goodness.

I am going to work on freeing Lois then worry about the rest. I am not feeling this event but that is good..can’t go overboard on all events. So I will first concern myself with doing (intentionally said) Lois…although the Uncommon stars are harder to get than you think, or at least for me. I have had Jerome, Chris and Cleveland do the 1 hour mission 4 times each today and that is 12 attempts at stars and I got 3 of them….that is only 25% but with them being only 1 hour tasks….I am sure I will have the necessary 15 before tonight or at the lastest tomorrow afternoon.
What I hate about this event is the stuff tied to friends and such. Simpsons did that and it was designed where if you visited friends you would have no problem completing the event but if not then it was iffy….well, personally I don’t like the friends part cause I don’t want facebook. Don’t want “friends” who are just people i really have never met and probably would never want to meet.
But I do like the snow…makes my Quahog pretty.

I’ve just checked every characters Facespace just to see if there was any indication of who will be getting a new outfit, and from that it looks like we’re getting new outfits for, Lois (obviously), Bruce, Mort, Brian, Stewie, and Joe.

GLITCH Android – Abandoned Warehouse in Inventory looked like Griffin House in Christmas Wrap. When I touched it it said I had unlocked the Christmas Griffin Wrap but then took me to the place you buy it for 100 clams. Then tried to put up the Quahog Mall for 50 GBM but crashed the game.

Anyone having glitch with the Secret Santa gift, I opened mine then nothing, showed no prize and gift is gone. Event looks great though, lots fun. I keep finding myself singing Do you want to catch a snowman 🙂

And per TinyCo on the presents…
If you’re playing on Android, pressing the back button while opening the Gift Box will cancel the animation but the prize will always be awarded to your inventory . If you’ve won a building or decoration, it will be placed at the very end of your inventory. Materials you’ve won will be reflected in your item count.
If you experience a crash while opening the Gift Box, don’t worry! Similarly, the prize will always be awarded to your inventory. If you can’t find a new building or decoration in your inventory, check your item counts for new materials.
