The Christmas update is NOT, I repeat NOT live in our games…yet. Right not they are doing some testing on it to make sure the 1.5 version is going OK. So a small amount of you will see the update hit your app markets.
Again, this is JUST prep work/testing. So those that get it will ONLY see the icon, Splash Screen, and snow in town. NO tasks, NO items, NO event. We will post more when it goes live.
Well…that is unless we fall asleep waiting for it to hit. It HAS been a very long day for both of us. Lol
So hang in there. We’ll get the info out when we can.

Some more details below the fold…
Ok guys this is just like Halloween…you have to earn Cookiees to buy stuff (like Spirit vials) AND you have Holiday Cheer (like Fright points). You also have the ability to craft/create gifts at Santa’s Workshop (like the cauldron). So you guys should know a lot of the drill by now…
This event is very Lois heavy in the beginning. And a lot of short tasks that you should progress through quickly. The stopping point will come when you craft your first gift, which will take an hr. And then you’ll have another task to build the Quahog Mall, which will take 4hrs to build. If you’re looking to rest tonight…that might be your best stopping point….

Quahog Mall- 50 Gingerbread. 4hr Build. Chance to drop the Star needed for Sexy Santa Lois. Also Earns 8 Gingerbread and 1 Holiday Cheer/4hrs.
Gingerbread Shack- 100 Clams. Always drops 50 Gingerbread/4hrs. Also drops 5 Holiday Cheer.

Note: It looks like TinyCo has learned from Halloween…and you cannot repair the Train Station until the task triggers. Progress through quiet a bit of the main questline and then the quest will trigger. Be patient.. 🙂

Sexy Santa Lois starts once you’ve started the Naughty or Nice quest….(this happens around Part 6 or 7 of Miracle on Spooner Street) Here’s what you’ll need to unlock her:

7 Santa Dresses (Rare)- Earned By: Make Lois Freshen Up OR Make Bonnie Go to Ladies Night OR Get From Smith House OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
5 Mistletoe (Rare)- Earned by: Make Peter Put Up the Tree OR Make Quagmire Enjoy Carrots OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
For those curious…the rush rate is around 300 Clams (depending on how many Gingerbread you have)
Jasper!
Brian’s family is coming to Quahog! And Jasper can be found at the Quahog Train Station….BUT be WARNED. Once you repair the train station you only have 7 Days to Unlock him! So DO NOT repair the train station until you’re ready.
Here’s what you’ll need to unlock Jasper:
Happy Greek- Get the Happy Greek From a Holiday Gift Box
Dance Studio- Get the Dance Studio From a Striped Gift Box
Cheer Stage- Get the Cheer Stage from a Striped Gift Box.
Or you can instantly unlock for 300 clams.
Squatters
There are two types of Squatters with the event…Snowmen and Mall Santa’s (and apparently CIA Agents, as they’re still roaming the streets of my Quahog!)
Snowmen
Just tap them and they’ll go away. Plus you’ll earn event currency!
Mall Santa’s
For these you will need Sexy Santa Lois and/or Jasper to clear. Each Mall Santa takes 2hrs to clear and earns you 10 Gingerbread and 2 Holiday Cheer. Plus the chance for a doll to drop!

Holiday Cheer…
Collect Holiday Cheer to upgrade your Christmas tree! The bigger the tree/cheer the more Squatters will come to Quahog! (Mall Santa’s and Snowmen)
And yes…as of right now there are Clam rewards when you reach a new Level. Follow along with The Cheer Squad questline to earn clams for reaching cheer levels!
Secret Santa…
For the first time during a TQFS Event there’s a Social Element to it! (Remember the only way to have friends in this game is via Facebook. And if you’re looking for friends check out our Add Me Thread here.)
You can leave a Secret Santa Gift for a neighbor…and they’ll get rewards for it and you’ll get a chance for Clams! (and rewards too!)
Below is from the in game FAQs. This will explain it better than I can at 3:30 am…
How does Social Gifting work?
Bonnie can create Secret Santa Gifts by performing the “Wrap a Gift” action. You’ll be able to see how many Secret Santa Gifts you have by viewing the counter on the Multiverse button.
When you visit an eligible friend’s Quahog, you’ll see a button on the top right corner of the screen with the number of Secret Santa Gifts you own. If you tap on it, you’ll leave your friend a box that they can open to receive wonderful prizes. You can gift each friend one gift box each day.
Whenever you give a friend a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll also receive Christmas Cookies and a chance for clams!
How do I open Secret Santa Gifts?
When you receive a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll see a message telling you to open the box by your Christmas tree. To open it, tap on the box!
You can open one Secret Santa Gift per day. If you receive more than one box per day, you’ll be able to open another after 24 hours have passed.
Santa’s Wish List…
Fulfill various wishes (usually via the Crafting part) to unlock Santa for your Quahog!
How do I use the Christmas Wishlist?
Tap on Santa’s Sleigh to access the Christmas Wishlist. You can fulfill wishes by collecting the items that characters have asked for. Fulfilling a wish unlocks a new Christmas action for that character.
How do I get Santa?
If you complete every wish on the Christmas Wishlist, you’ll receive Santa!

You’ll notice it’s there…but it’s locked! The land is smokey and you can’t access it just yet. It’s coming soon…so be patient and enjoy Christmas! 🙂

Hey guys, I was wondering what was up with the drop rate on dolls when Lois clears the Mall Santas? I thought we were going to get them every time like during the Halloween event but I haven’t really had much luck.

The last striped present I madei went to check on and was about ten minutes early BUT I noticed the speed up button showed zero clams- I gave it a shot and sure enuff it sped it up without costing anything! Now I’ll b sure to check every time! Anyone else have that happen?

I tried reading everything over and over again but I don’t understand where do I get the gifts for the ones on the wish list? Like Someone wants a table is that something I craft in the gift portal or buy in the store?

I had noticed that I was not receiving gifts that my neighbors had send either. Knowing that my sister-in-law had sent 1, I did a hard close on my phone then went back into my game and there was a gift although it was from a different neighbor. Hope that may help someone else with this problem.

I was having half my town black screen-ing when the santa promo started, then it went away, and it just came back about an hour ago. Really annoying. I can play, click on stuff, checkmarks and send people on tasks, but entire sections of the town are black and I can’t tell what moving block figure is an snowman 😦

Well, this is annoying. I started crafting a present. After an hour, there was a checked balloon over Santa’s workshop as expected. But when I tapped on it, I got a dialog informing me that Santa’s sleigh had a present waiting, and I was required to open that one first.
So I did. And I got an item from it, as expected, so I placed it and then looked at Santa’s workshop again, only to find… the checked balloon was gone. Tapping on the workshop resulted in a message telling me I hadn’t crafted anything yet.
The game effectively ate my crafted item. I’ve reported this through the game.

I just want to check if this has happened to anyone else, I just logged into my game and it looked like a bunch of my buildings had dissapeared, but on closer inspection a few of my buildings and decorations had shrunk, and to get them back to normal size I had to move them around and place them somewhere else.

There is a little blue present box in the top right corner of my friends pictures when I go to the multistage to visit friends. It’s only on some friends pictures, I’m trying to figure out what it means? If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You can only gift once in a 24 hr period. I am not by my game at the moment, but I am trying to remember if it shows up AFTER you gift them a present or if they haven’t got one yet.

Keep in mind they HAVE to sync. Some can be delayed. Give it 24hrs total to show up.

Do you happen to know why I wouldnt be receiving gifts from people? I have been next to the person when they send it to me and I never get it. Its been 2 days and still nothing.

You only get one every 24hrs. So if you have 3 friends send 3 gifts…it will take at LEAST a day for the first to show up, then another for the second, and so on. I am talking with them about the gifts.

They don’t always drop. The only way to get them to always drop is via the orphanage.

There is that small lil “Peter Pop Up” at the top of the screen that says, “XXXX sent you a gift. Open it under your Christmas Tree! Visit Friends to give gifts in return!”
The issue is you CAN’T have anything else pop up when you enter town or you miss it. It doesn’t stay as long. Similar to the Slimer is in town pop up.

It seems that Bonnie’s poker table is not in the striped present. It is in next weeks. I got Meg’s boyfriend and then the striped present went since I got all the rest of the gifts already.

I am loving the Christmas event and as ever your pages are brilliant ladies. Thank you. Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with the Christmas gift boxes. The regular kind disappeared after I had made three and now I can only make stripey ones. Is that normal? Also, I seem to have a terrible drop rate for stockings from lois clearing the mall santas. Been clearing them all day and not a one yet 😦 Do the buildings for Jasper appear for clams after you clear the train station as they don’t show up in my game as an option to buy at the moment.

also come on tiny co it still expensive and its a Christmas event is it about givin or are you trying to suck every penny out of us give us a break on the price of those clams getting expensive for this game I might have to drop it soon it’s also crazy of the price of clams for building 600 that’s 20 bucks for the building I might as well save all my money and buy a game on ps4 I was having fun until the Scrooge of money gets so involved with this game just my rant

I found out that the tasks for the event require less clams to speed it up. I had Peter hang up the Christmas tree and it cost me 2 clams so I went ahead and got all 5 mistletoes for Lois.

So I got sexy Santa Lois this morning & have cleared 2 mall Santa’s but no stockings drop. Is this not a guaranteed drop anymore as was the case in the Halloween event? If not getting the amount necessary to unlock jasper is going to be a long process.

I now have 2 stockings from 5 attempts so it does appear to be dropping at a rare rate.

It’s still got a random rate. Sometimes you’ll get cookies sometimes you’ll get stockings.

That’s not cool. I’ve been at it all day & still only have 2. At this rate it will be late Monday or Tuesday before I get 10 to craft 2 items & that’s without taking a break to do the 16 hours of Lois tasks I’ve got waiting. Given that the item you get from crafting is random it could take as many as 25 dolls to unlock Jasper to help. Up to 25 rare items with 1 major player to collect them is an unrealistic expectation for an event like this. I’ve already sent a ticket. Oh well, at least ohio state is winning.

I got all the AD characters, got fat Lois for thanksgiving, just about done with sexy Santa Lois, but still can’t seem to get one last friggin muffin for Francine. Lol I can’t justify spending 20 clams on a rare item at this point. Now it’s just about principle. Am I the only one encountering this problem? Seems like instead of “rare” they should have categorized this as “ultimate epic” ugh so frustrating!

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can’t change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” — I am trying all the steps to correct what may be an ‘operator error’ or a glitch, and I want to run this by ya’ll before I bother TC with my concern: I have access to 3 games: mine on ios, husbands on ios, and mine on my Nexus 7. Yesterday, I gifted myself from my N7 to my ios. I found the gift on my ios, opened it, then Consuela booted me with some crap ‘you cannot buy…’ during the outages yesterday. Gift disappeared, nothing in inventory. {{Sat on my pity pot all night but only managed to crap all over my own carpet.}} Skip to this morning- sent myself a gift from husbands ios to my ios (less than 24 hr, but others have said they got >1 gift in 24hr, so….) Nothing. No gift in my game. Waited until my N7 time limit passed, gift option now available from that game, so I sent myself another gift from the N7. Still, nothing. No gift in my ios game. I have deleted the whole game, and reloaded it from app store. No gift awaits. Should I (1) contact TC now? (2)Wait another 24 hr with NO gifting activity and try tomorrow, then contact TC or (3) shut up and wait for your reply, because you usually (ok, you ALWAYS) have the answers I seek…

I would say if it seems you are missing items to reach out to them right away. A lot of times when there is a “hiccup” when you miss an item, you can find it hidden in your game inventory…so check their too to see if anything new has shown up from the event as well. Also, watch your WiFi. This is a high maintenance game and needs lots of it and strong to stay stable. You can also do some steps to help the game to not crash in future. Hopefully all this combined will help.

I finished getting everything from the first Gift Box, but can’t start on the second until I unlock Sexy X-Mas Lois. Its been a pain getting her rares. Peter and Quagmire have only dropped Missile Toe once after many attempts. Getting the Red Dress has been better, but not by much. I wouldn’t be surprised if I finish the dresses before the toe.
Also I’m surprised TinyCo didn’t have Carter drop X-Mas items for Make Money Angels and give a task for Patrick Stewart to read A Christmas Carol, which he’s known for being in.
