Christmas has arrived in Quahog and some characters are getting into the Christmas spirit!
A few characters in Quahog have tasks to help you earn more Christmas Cookies and Holiday Cheer…and a lot of you are asking which ones earn what, how often & how many. So…with out further ado let’s cover the who, what, where, when and how of Christmas tasks to earn you more Christmas cookies!

Where do you get “stars and skates” for Stan to go skating? I have the skating pond but I guess that’s not it? It’s not an item in my store to buy either. Is it from a past event?

It’s from 4th of July…we’ve got an inquiry in with TinyCo to see if he’s supposed to go elsewhere and it’s just mixed up

So about the train station, whenever i tap on it it just makes a noise and doesn’t ask if i want to repair it. Why is this? Or am i not tapping on the right building?
Also, what is the best thing to buy with 56 clams? Should i wait until i have more?

I’ve got all the characters that can do the tasks. I’m on level 6 for the tree (4020 HC) I need 4750 to reach level 7. my CC count is 12,099 in total so far. I’ve done all the tasks available, so I’m just collecting the green and red stockings at the moment. I’ve got 48 Green stockings and 16 Red ones. The Red stocking (dolls) are so much harder to collect. The Santa’s hardly ever drop them for me.

Drop rates on the dolls dropping from Lois clearing the mall santas is terrible. It says rare but seems more like epic to me. Anyone else having this issue?

May add, alot of the day tasks can be fast forward for 1 clam! When i tried it with chris for the second time it was 2 clams… Besides that, those forward times are way cheaper, got me spending xD

I think it would be helpful to include levels and props/items/buildings needed especially for the newer characters. I’ll have to check again as I do have all the characters but may not have all the tasks available.
It kinda sucks when TC made changes and then those characters can no longer perform those tasks for holiday currency.

I contacted TinyCo, but a problem I’m facing is with the questline, “The Wild Wild Mayor West,” in which one of the tasks Brian has to do is Fact Check on the Internet. Since it was converted to a Christmas task it doesn’t count towards the quest. Just wanted to let people know and I hope they fix this soon.

OK. Stop adding quests that require the only character that can clear Mall Santas to go on a 12 hr task until I can unlock other character (which requires first said character). I always hate when they give you these **** if you do/**** if you don’t decisions. These Heisenberg choices distracts from the game. So either I can advance story at expense of advancing achievements or vice versa.

My advice would be to save the 12h quest for when you go to bed. Keep doing the 2h ones untill then. Once you are done with work/school, that dreadfully long quest should be done.

I’m also disappointed that so far, it’s been very Lois heavy. I’ve got an 8hour and 12hour task waiting for her but the priority is to get red stockings to get the striped gift boxes to get Jasper. They should have added another character to the task. Eventually Jasper will help clearing Mall Santas, but you need to get him first and Lois is the only way. That said, I’m going to try to get in the long Lois tasks overnight while I’m asleep.

I think they really really want everyone to have to drop $7 or so on the freaking orphanage, the doll collection for Jasper looks like it’s going to take forever…and consequently put the questline far behind…seems like every questline there is is waiting on Lois actions…

Out of topic question. Question regarding repairing the train station. Does the timed quest start as soon as you repair the station? Or could I repair the station and just avoid from tapping on the “check” mark. Wanted to save time by having the station already fixed, but I don’t want to accidentally start quest as it seems to be a pain getting those red socks to drop.

Are you trying to find it by going directly to Chris? Have you tried going to the quest and clicking to go button? Sometimes that will bring it back up.

TinyCo messed up by having Stan go to Stars & Skates instead of the Ice Pond you get in this event thus making his task useless to most players.

You should also (carefully) check the clam rush costs (if you like.) Some 24 hr tasks can be rushed for only 2 or 1 clams.

Some are reporting the sound off. At this point you’ve got to contact TinyCo and let them know about the issue. They should be able to help you troubleshoot it..

So far, so good. I just wish more of the regular characters earned holiday currency, as I have none of the Halloween characters! Also even with Lucky ‘ s Orphanage and Lois it’s still taking forever to get the red stockings.

Fat peter has a 24hour task “look out at the ocean” which gives 25 cookies and 5 HC.
Its not worth doing as his 8 hour task gives the same amount, but thought I’d mention it 🙂

Stan also has a 1 day task, but it does require Stars and Skates, which people may or may not have from the 4th of July event. Also Obese Peter and Meg have 1day tasks, but I think the shorter tasks are much better pay.

They would need at least a month or more for that event. I am thinking the April-May-June time frame would be good as it is a major hole in the holiday schedule. Though since I think the game started in April there may be an anniversary event then. (I am thinking January would be a clean-up/short event month coming off this one. February could have Valentine/President’s theme event. March would be St. Patrick’s/Easter lead-in. Just speculation).

Having an issue with giving a friend in the game a secret Santa gift – got a clam when I placed it and watched it go under her town’s tree but then my friend doesn’t see or get the gift when they go check their town. She waited until 24 hours after she opened her Ollie gift but still nothing under her tree. Is this a widespread issue? Already reported to TinyCo but haven’t heard back yet. She gave me a gift two days ago that I received immediately so I’m a bit confused.

One every 24hrs is all we see. You got to wait til the one you sent triggers. The first day they dropped fast until the setting went into effect.

If you are after HC instead of the cookies, Meg has a 24 hr task that gives 25 HC. Gives 1 more than the 6 hour task. Plus you only have to do it once, rather than 4 times, in a day.

Lol. Wrong math. Thought it gave 6 HC for the 6 hour task. Apparently it was just 4. So you actually get 1.5 more HC doing the 24 hour one.

I’m confused. Did I miss a post from you guys? To get these tasks do we first have to get the items from the wish list? I don’t have any of the tasks. And I really need to slow down on my game and wait for your posts. I just unlocked the train station to get jasper and it’s a timed event. Granted it’s 7 days and you only need items from 3 gift boxes but I’m guessing they aren’t going to be easy to get.

These have nothing to do with the wish list. (except for Meg’s Spin the bottle task) These should appear in your character lists as soon as you start the Christmas event in your game..

So what do the wish list gifts provide us with? It states that it gives us additional tasks to earn holiday cheer and cookies, but what exactly are they? So far I’ve only unlocked Chris’and Brian’s – trying to earn some dolls from a newly created Sexy Santa Lois to craft the stripped present – but didn’t both Chris and Brian already have those tasks available to them?

Prizes you craft in the boxes. Nothing additional. However, when you complete one you’ll get clams 🙂

At the bottom of the wish list screen, accessed from tapping on Santa’s sleigh, it states:
“Fulfill Wishes to unlock Christmas actions for each character. Complete the list to get Santa!”
You can see how that can be misleading…? I’m a simple person – it doesn’t take a lot to confuse me. Of this doesn’t do what it says on the tin, perhaps a re-wording is in order, for muppets like me?

Had no idea about DDLM Consuela. I just gave her a regular 6/8 hour task (I keep them all off 24-hour tasks in case a new task comes up) minutes ago.
