UPDATE BUNNY: We are aware of many players stating an EARLY lock out of the Gift Boxes before prizes are completely won. We did report this to TinyCo and urge you to do so as well so they can see the games impacted by the glitch. We will update when we hear anything back on it.
Hey there Ho Ho Ho’s. Having fun yet? Liking all the falling snow? Going nuts trying to figure out what the frak is going on in the Miracle on Spooner Street Event? Well here I am hopping in to help out. Let’s start out with the Gift Boxes in the Santa’s Village Workshop.
In order to get additional “Gifts” in our game, you will need to go to Santa’s Village to make toys. You don’t know just what exactly those crazy demented elves are going to make, but this should help you at least have an idea of what you will see in each one of the current two Gift Boxes available.
First off, how to get to this point. You will need to get to Miracle On Spooner Street Part 4. You will be able to learn about, make, then open the Holiday Gift Box.
Now as you continue to collect Christmas Cookies, Candy Cane Stockings, and Doll Stockings you can go back to Santa’s Village to continue to make and get more gifts.
HOW DO I GET INTO SANTA’S VILLAGE WORKSHOP?
There are two ways of getting to Santa’s Village Workshop, the first is the shortcut icon on the main game screen. Just look in the lower right hand corner for the Holiday Cheer Icon that tells you what Cheer Level you are on. Tap on it.
You will be taken to the Miracle On Spooner Street Holiday Event Area. Santa’s Workshop will be the 2nd icon down. The Gift Box.
Another way is to just go over to the Event Area in your Quahog and tap on Santa’s Village. 
It will take you immediately to the Gift Box Creating Area known as Santa’s Workshop.
WHAT GIFT BOXES ARE AVAILABLE?
As you can see, there are two Gift Boxes inside currently available for purchase.
Holiday Gift Box: 150 Holiday Cookies & 5 Candy Cane Stockings Each
Striped Gift Box: 300 Holiday Cookies, 5 Candy Cane Stockings, & 5 Doll Stockings Each
HOW DO I MAKE A GIFT BOX?
Just go to Santa’s Workshop to see if you have enough of each item required to Create either Gift Box. Just tap on the one you want and it will tell you. “Not Enough” or “Wrap”.
If it says “Wrap” and that is the one you want, then tap it to start the process. 
It will take 1hr to “Wrap” a Gift Box. You can only make one at a time.
As soon as it is done, you will see a message in Santa’s Workshop to go open the finished gift.
As well as a Check Mark over Santa’s Village in the Event Area. 
Either way, once you tap on the check mark to complete the gift wrapping, the Gift Box will appear right next to your tree in the Event Area.
Now it is just a matter of tapping on the completed Gift Box in the Holiday Wagon to Open it and see what is inside.
WHAT IS INSIDE THE GIFT BOXES?
To get an idea of what is inside each Gift Box, I have broken them down.

As you can see, Jasper has items in BOTH Gift Boxes. So make sure you collect enough items to try for both before completing the build of the Train Station.
Also, only SOME of the items for Santa’s Wish List are in the first two Gift Boxes. No worries, it will run the entire event and more options to get MORE Gifts will come later. Just focus on the ones available now.
HOW DO I SEE WHAT I HAVE LEFT TO GET?
There is a little trick to see what YOU have left in the Gift Boxes. It is right around the time you complete the gift. Just go find the Wrapped Gift Box in the Holiday Wagon by your Tree in the Event Area and tap it. You will see the pop up for the Gift Box. Instead of Tapping on “Open Me”, tap on the Green “PRIZES” option instead.
It will pull up all the gifts you have remaining in that Gift Box to Wrap and get for your town. 
This way you will know what items you have left in each one. Again, you can only see this AFTER you Wrap a Gift Box.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GET ALL THE GIFTS?
One of two things will happen. If you are down to just ONE Decoration/Building in the box, the Gift Box will disappear for wrapping as soon as the last item is won.
However, if you have two items left and one of those happens to be the Christmas Cookies (with the Stocking Icon) and you win the OTHER item…the Gift Box will still disappear. In other words, if all you have left is the Holiday Cookies the box considers itself complete of prizes and disappears. 
There you have it. The Two Gift Boxes currently available. No worries, more details still coming in separate posts for both Facebook Friend and Santa’s List. So stay tuned.

I have the feeling that almost no character serves any useful purpose in this event right now while Lois is required for a dozen things at the same time. I need her for clearing Mall Santas which is giving me stuff for the gift boxes which are required for unlocking Jasper who would help in clearing Mall Santas. At the same time Lois is also the key character for moving the questline forward and complete Mall Santa challenges. What the deuce?

It IS luck, but it might be bad luck. Depending on how the event turns out, it may actually be better to win the extra 150/300 cookies rather than the buildings right away. No way to know yet!

Well like 90% of my fellow addicts I too noticed Lois’ drop rate is beyond ridiculous. I sent a respectful and well written message via the game. During Halloween the tried pulling fast ones and players united to say hell no and they listened. I think everyone should contact them respectfully and let them know the errors of their ways. I’m sure they’ll listen again. Worth as hot at least.
BTW you ladies rock! This is the first place I check whenever something new comes to quahog, so thank you for the constant info and updates.

Any idea if a clam deal is coming? They usually have one during events. I am considering purchasing the orphanage because of the horrible doll drop rate, (I know I am playing right into their hands lol) but am short a few clams. Id hate to buy them and then have the deal pop up.

The dolls are just too hard to get. I love how people are all ”If you set down with the mentality of grinding Lois for every 2 hours , every day, you get the chance at a doll. It’s possible within 5 to 7 days you’ll.”
How about no? This a fun recreational game. Not our whole lives, TinyCo. A lot of us have far too much other stuff to do with our lives to spend going back to our phones/devices every 2 hours for the chance that maybe after clearing 15 mall santas we’ll have 3 doll stockings.

Have you listed what’s in the Secret Santa boxes? Are they same items that are in the gift boxes? Also, the only friend I gave is Ollie since I’m not willing to make strangers friends on my Facebook page. I have been dropping Secret Santa gifts in Ollieland and got them in return on the first 2 days, but not since. Will Ollie continue to give me gifts if I give them to him? Thanks!

I submitted an in-game request to at a minimums or the dolls drop every time. With Lois being needed for other tasks and a bad drop rate, it’ll take longer than the 6 days, 21 hours I have to get Jasper…I acciendently hit the train station while collecting. I urge everyone to also complain and make a recommendation of some sort. They listened during Halloween!

Can cookies repeat in the gift boxes? I finished the first box without the 150 even as a possible one. Would hate to keep wasting 5 dolls multiple times. I’d live with wasting them once if I had to. Also side question – Ollie gave me a gift on day 1 after I gave him one (my friends had not updated yet so couldn’t give them. Now I am giving friends but not receiving them the same. Will Ollie always give if received? Thanks!

They may…but I have never got any in all my games. The box cleared before I did. Ollie gives random ones here n there mainly for those that don’t have friends on Facebook. But they are VERY few and far between. Like maybe 4 the entire event. Feel free to use our Friend Request page here to look for more.

When I go to repair the train station and click ok it says it is clearing the block and asks if I want to speed it up for clams. Is this the case for everyone or is it a glitch?

What about the secret Santa gifts? I have no facebook account so no friends. The first day I gave one of those gifts to Ollieland and a little while later I got a gift back from Ollieland. Since then I’ve given 3 more gifts to Ollieland but have received nothing back in return. Are we supposed to be getting a gift back from Ollie or not? Thats pretty crappy of them to just be taking the gifts that take 12 hours to make and give nothing back. Also, are they planning on doing anything about the drop rate of dolls. I’ve gotten 2 and have cleared about 20 mall santas. This is ridiculous. Too hard.

If you do not have Facebook, then you won’t be able to take full advantage of the neighbor interactions this event. You may get a random one from Ollie here n there…but that is it. You DON’T have to keep crafting more gifts if you have no one to give them to. 😉

Is there any possibility of having another character drop the doll stockings? This is ridiculously hard, and I even purchased the Orphanage!!! How have people managed to get all of the prizes out of the Striped box already!? Please tell me your secret!!! Even with the building, I’ve only been able to open the box 1 time!

My secret was I used clams to rush them for this site….
BUT everyone else agrees with you, that much I can tell you.
My suggestion is to contact TinyCo and let them know what you think (in a constructive way). Hopefully they’ll make some changes.

i managed to unlock Jasper this morning, but I had also bought the orphanage to help out. I think it would have iffy if it was just Lois working on the Mall Santas. The drop rate started out OK for a day, and then turned dismal, but seemed to pick up in the end, so maybe TinyCo tweaked the drop rate.
Also, the last item for Jasper was apparently the last item for the striped gift box, so no more gift boxes until the tree upgrade on Thursday. Never saw the dizzy reindeer, though. Was it Android only?
Hope there is something to do with all the green stockings. They are building up.

I think the cookies are a slap in the face gift. It’s the same ammount of cookies that you paid in MINUS the Dolls and/or Candy Canes. It’s like the coal in the stocking.
Also, not to jump on the negative nelly train, but I’m having a heck of a time with these dolls. I’ve gotten 8 total. I have all of the first box and only the cheer stage out of the second box. I have 43 candy canes and 3 dolls. (I didn’t buy the gumdrop factory, my snowmen are just super generous… plus I’m on Cheer level 3, so I have bonus snowmen). I appreciate that the dolls are slow because it gives me a challenge. I just wish that I didn’t have to have Sexy Santa Lois to get the dolls for Jasper, to complete Miracle on Spooner Street #9 and Tinseltown #5. I have to focus on the dolls because Jasper is timed. I just hope that in my second box I get the Dance Studio, because I’m a little worried about time. If I get dolls at the rate I keep getting them and the Dance Studio is one of the last TWO items out of the 2nd Box… then I’m screwed on time.
That’s how I’m doing! I hope everyone else is having better luck.

The drop rates for the dolls are terrible! Out of 11 times I’ve ran Lois I’ve gotten 2. Clearly TC wants us to fork out for the orphanage since during Halloween the task similar to this were a always drop.

Patience young Padwans… Sexy Lois working the Mall Santa’s is a two hour mission. Considering all other time frames that is just about as good as it gets. If you can set your time for two hours and “wash, rinse. repeat” , you can get 10 attempts in a day, say you hit 50% of those with a Doll stocking, you can get all the prizes listed within 5 days, 7 tops. That’s just what those who do not pay to take short cuts have to do, be patient and consistent. The good thing is, with this and S.T.O., the non paying player at least has an opportunity to just about get everything the premium players gets. That is not the case with most Freemium games. *coughcoughclashoclanscoughSamuraicoughcough*, So keep at it, you will get there and all the Xmas goodies will be yours to enjoy!

Four hours sleep? No, your arithmetic (or body clock) is off. The idea of logging on every two hours for seven days is silly. Some may do that but it is not reasonable. Most people are limited to five or six. But even with 8 or 9 attempts a day plenty will not receive six gifts in seven days.
More positive and important is that you do need to collect them in seven days – wait until you have grabbed two or three striped gifts before starting the timer then you will have two or more days per remaining gift.

I think this is completely do-able. I work 2 jobs and can find enough time in the day to go to the restroom and sneak in 2 taps…

I have cleared 21 Mall Santas with 7 doll drops. That puts my drops at 33% or 1 every 6 hours. So if this percentage rate continues I am looking at 18 hours to get to my second box. And then I get to play gift box roulette with a 20% chance of getting the one item I need to get Jasper. Now if it works out, good.
Let’s look at the bad scenario (that being the item needed is the last item minus 300 cookie drop). 18 hours plus 30 × 3 (remaining prizes-cookies) or 108 hours. I will be generous and give you an 18 hour day with a 6 hour sleep. That’s 6 days from today or Sunday (or 3 days into next phase) just to get all the gifts without the possibility that the cookies drop. The cookies adds a nasty possible outcome if it drops as then we are talking next Tuesday.
While unlikely is still a possibility.

My doll drop rate is also very bad! I also believe more characters should be able to do tasks do get them and get cookies and HC. If we all complain/suggest it to TC, don’t you think they can change it? Which way would be the best to do it? E-mail? I have already complained about it in the built-in tool to contact them.

1 person (who also has at least 24 hours of tasks to progress with the storyline) to get 25 rare stockings with dolls to unlock the second character who can then help get those items … This is going to set everyone back seriously in starting this week’s release, during which I’m sure Lois will be called away for more tasks. I’ve almost finished this weeks’s quest tasks but I’ve only managed to get the dizzy reindeer from the striped boxes, so far. It took 12 tries, a full 24 hours working around the clock, to get the 5 it took to get that. Still 20 more items needed. This seems like an unreasonable way to start the event, especially given that unlocking Jasper is a timed deal. It would have been much more manageable if the dolls were guaranteed drops from clearing Santas like the terror bones and banshee tears were in the Halloween event. Just my opinion.

Check your inventory to make sure they’re not in there. Check your ENTIRE inventory…as sometimes the items move to the end.

ya I have a horrible drop rate and I accidentaly started jasper yesterday. so my 7 day timer is down to 6 days 13 hours left. AAAAHH !!! oh well, I have 6 days left. on the last day I will probably drop 200 clams if I have too 😦

I’ve gotten 1 doll after clearing six santas. This is total bull- the clearing task needs to be shortened or the drop rate raised because between this and the fact that Lois is so involved in the main quest line makes it almost impossible to get the striped boxes. I’ve already sent a message to Tiny Co so I’m hoping they change it.

You can’t clear mall santas without Jasper but you need an item from a striped gift box to get Jasper and unless you pay clams for the orphanage, you can only get these by clearing mall Santas…which needs Jasper. So unless you pay clams you aren’t getting Jasper or any striped gift boxes – is this right?

Thanks so much for this clarification! When both my boxes disappeared I assumed I must have completed them but it still seemed odd. One question though, I have everything EXCEPT the “Dizzy Reindeer.” I looked everywhere, including my storage multiple times. If I recall each time I received a new prize it went into storage until I pulled it out. Can you describe what it looks like? I failed to look at the prizes before finishing the boxes. Oops!

I have cleared the first gift box entirely. I have not been able to start the second one yet as I am trying to finish Santa Lois. I like the semi random nature of them. So far at least it seems pretty easy to win everything.

Once you unlock Lois’s costume, be prepared to wait even longer to start those striped boxes. 2 hours per santa, and a lousy drop rate from them.

I have to say I am surprised with the chance of getting the 150 or 300 cookies back as a gift in the boxes. That just seems cruel of TinyCo and not something I would expect of them. It means that you are just losing the stockings that you saved for the crafting. And with the difficulty of earning the stockings (especially the dolls) this is mean. I hope that it is a glitch and no one actually gets this prize before the box goes away. If they were awarding clams, 10x the cookies, or extra stockings then this gift might have meaning. But as it is I find this to be quite out of ordinary for TinyCo.

I won this in a box, it was instead labeled “Free Play” and I got the 150 cookies plus 5 stockings. No loss of anything except an hour..

Love the game and the the update but getting the Doll Stockings is proving very difficult with only Sexy Santa Lois able to do it Clearing Mall Santas, and even then you don’t get it every time. The only other way is with Jasper but you need at least 10 to get him and you’d have to be very lucky with the gifts. Or 30 if your unlucky. Tinyco should give us a couple of other short tasks with other people to get them. Particularly as Lois is up for all the other Christmas tasks so far.
What do you guy think? (I know now that I shouldn’t have opened the Christmas Train Station but at least give us a chance)

My striped gift box option has gone. Could it be that I have gotten all of the prizes from it? I’m not sure whether to start building the train station, will it trigger a timed event? I just Lois’ costume yesterday so I am clearing the santas at the minute. Do I get Jasper after I clear them? (Sorry for all of the questions lol)

It’s it’s all gone you got all the prizes (assuming you got the Orphanage to help get dolls if you just got lois…since you need dolls for the striped box). Building the train station is what triggers Jasper’s timer.
You get Jasper when you feel like you’re ready to start unlocking him…you’ll have 7 days. He needs 1 building from the Holiday Box and 2 from the Striped. So if you have them all I’m guessing you have those buildings needed.

I am having real difficulty winning striped boxes, and therefore winning Jasper. It takes 2 hours for Lois to complete her Mall Santa task, and the chances of her dropping a stocking is less than 50%. Add to this the fact that most of the quest lines require her for tasks ranging up to 12 hours in duration.
I’m tempted to buy the Orphanage but 200 clams seems a bit steep considering it only drops once every 6 hours…

Looking forward to starting on that second gift box, but that last piece of mistletoe is being stubborn and won’t drop, so I can’t make Santa Lois. If I can’t make Santa Lois, I can’t clear out the mall santas. If I can’t clear out the mall santas, I can’t get doll stockings. If I can’t get doll stockings, I can’t start preparing for Jasper. There’s a pattern here, I just know it!

Actually, over the delay caused by unlocking Sexy Lois so slowly, I’ve started to lose dedication to TQFS and kinda stopped aiming for any targets. I’ve managed to get all AD characters, but their even slower unlocking process has basically bored me to death. These events are IMHO designed way too confusing with too much going on at the same time – with too long breaks in between caused by the character/costume unlockings and/or required character leveling up. With regards to the christmas event I’m only going to play along and seeing how much I manage to achieve with that and be happy about it.
