Hello There Clammers!
An all new event has hit our Tiny Quahogs and it’s Christmas in Quahog and Santa has come to Spooner Street! During the third phase of the event there’s a Jingle Joe to create, a new hat on the Yeti to attack, a cute little Puppy Brian to Potty Train, Babs Pewterschmidt to drive Lois nuts, clams to be won and a whole lot more!
So let’s take a look at the quick walkthrough for Phase 3 of Christmas…and just exactly what you’ll need to do to get through the third part of the holidays….

I just got Little Yip-Yip this morning!
Almost got Angel Bruce, probably by tomorrow afternoon… So I don’t have the rabid reindeer yet. I do not have regular Stewie yet as I am just opening up the Asian District 7 & I know Stewie has a quest that popped up. The question is do I have a chance in hell of getting the Grand Prize of the Xmas lights Snowmobile & if so any advice on what to concentrate on?

The Final Prize is so simple. Get Santa. So…just open all the Gift BOxes in his workshop and clear his list. Main thing is you MUST unlock Angel Bruce to trigger it. So do that, clear tasks so the Challenge Pops up. Check off all Santa’s Gifts to get Santa. DONE!

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but if, like me, the game tells you to update then Google play tells you your device is incompatible then just Google ‘family guy 1.5.5 apk’ and download it manually then open your downloads and click to install. Worked perfect for me.

Got pup and bab yesterday, today got Joe and finally got the last snow flake for Jesus. Jesus would have taken much longer without John. And my mini maze works well. Now to complete all the tasks until the next tree upgrade.

OMG…this isn’t really related to the topic but just had to vent… so i was battling the top hat yeti and had 13 points left with 9hrs remaining. 3 characters battling him. so i needed near perfect hits to pull it off in time. so i ended up speeding up bruce’s action for 14clams just in time to give him another full 4hr action which would guarantee victory. all i had to do was open the game up in time since there timers would be ending just mins before the yeti’s timer was up. 2:53AM so i stayed up, set my alarm for 2:48 and went about my night. then 2:48 the alarm goes off i turn it off annnnddd…. i completely SPACE OUT.. i keep working on my computer when at 2:57 it clicks in my head…THE GAME! i open it to see the yeti’s timer OVER…………………… FML UGHHHHH SMH….14 claims down the drain all that timing and planing wasted… the worst part? that victory would have given me Jesus now I’m gonna have to wait another 3 days or so until i get back to the top hat yeti and get the remaining 20 stockings needed -_-;;;;; THAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS… I’m gonna go cry in a corner now in the fetal position.. *tear*

Super excited. Just unlocked Jesus. Gonna take a break from the Yeti now to get some quest lines completed. And only 6 wrapping paper away from getting Baby Brian. Should have him today. Then just gonna work away on storing up stuff for the next phase of the event. Gonna be interesting to see what is coming. Of course there will be angel Bruce, and the final three items for Santa’s wishlist. And of course Santa himself. Really enjoying this event so far.

I don’t know if this has been posted elsewhere, but I just noticed that the shoppers now stop and react (like Mutant Stewie) when you tap on them.
Should make it a lot easier to corral them for bombing.

After reading about all the connectivity issues people are having, my problem seems trivial. I won the mutant elf. I keep reading that he just walks around the town. Mine is not doing anything. Just stays in one place looking like a mutant. When I tap on him, he just waves his arms up and down a few times. Is anyone else experiencing this? (Sent in game message to TinyCo.) Game stays on loading screen and won’t let me on. It sucks cause I’ve spent so much time on it. I was having problem with the furball bombs and TinyCo told me to reinstall game so I did and now this problem comes up.

My game keeps crashing on the load screen, the yellow bar gets halfway then crashes. Happening both on my iPad and iPhone, recently has started to happen.

Yeah it’s still happening, sometimes it automatically directs me to Crash FAQs. I’ve deleted the app on both devices and reinstalled it, but still crashes during loading :(.

Is anyone else having a problem getting into their game right now? I’ve tried multiple devices and I get the “knock knock” and then it says it can’t connect and immediately boots me out. I’ve tried everything but nothing works and all my other games are working just fine.

So, I decided to leave it and try again this morning… still the same issue. I then uninstalled and reinstalled, AGAIN, and now it is working. Of course, I had to start from scratch with the Yeti so thanks again TinyCo for your glitchy game It looks to me like they are once again having server-side performance issues. I think they need to revisit their data provisioning. This is the price of success… constant vigilence with regard to infrastructure upgrades. Bite the bullet TinyCo, you’re going to have to at some point anyway or everyone will be crashing out again.

Well a an excellent day, got Joes custume, Jesus and the last item for Babs so now concentrating on getting her and Brian Puppy, things cannot get much better at the moment 🙂 Three questions please is there any point now in collecting the Blue snowflake stockings, what is this wrapping paper mentioned, and the Chrstmas tree is showing as upgrading Christmas Day, is this right, and does that mean new stuff and tasks, I for one do not expect Tiny to be working Christmas day doing this, they deserve a holiday, and I wont be playing Christmas night as it will hit at 10pm here in the UK. This us a family day and we all deserve a free day including yourselves, and Tiny. Thank you. Although have to admit my wonderful lady is getting me the the latest Samsung tablet, so may try it on my new one, how can I resist trying it 😉 Hope you all have a Happy Christmas or as you say it in the USA Happy Holidays 🙂

Do I get Joe and Puppy brian now and go for jesus after or do I go for Jesus now and get puppy brian and Joe later. I currently have 15,000 Gingerbread cookies….I just dont know

It all depends on what YOU want and how fast you earn the items needed for each. Jesus was meant to be the final prize to work up to. So, decide which one matters to YOU most and go with that one first

How is anyone getting Puppy Brian already? I have only attained a measly 17 of the required stockings, and that’s *with* purchasing the clam building that drops them (so maybe ten of those stockings are from bombing). I’ve bombed well over 100 shoppers as I achieved the Elf yesterday and have bombed more since, but I’m getting maybe one stocking for every 15 trick-or-treaters, I mean octo-Stewies, I mean Procrastinators. I am repairing the train platform and think I’ll be fine getting Jesus, but puppy Brian may elude me at this rate.

I am 3 stockings away frim Puppy Brian. I did not buy yhe stocking building. I did not build a maze. I have probably bombed 250 Procrastinators though. I get 4 Furbols every four hours. Just keep bombing , they will drop.

Thanks, I started feeling like others were getting him so easily while I seem so far away still. I didn’t build a maze either, though I am really enjoying the ability to tap and freeze them now (I don’t know why I get such a kick out of this action). I just bombed a set of 11 and a set of 12, to get one stocking total – which gets frustrating. I hope my neighbor kids think I’m just yelling “son of a beach”! 🙂 That puppy better be worth it after all my effort, hehe.

The maze concept works well with just 2 pieces of pavement in town. I also saved up about 10 furbols. Then I went around town an used like 6 to get as many shoppers possible as the last thing I did before logging off. The next time I logged in I go directly into bomb mode and hover target on pavement. I then wait until there is what looks like a mini explosion (it just the game spawning in snowmen and shoppers.) Then I drop the bomb and get loads of shoppers. So easy to get cookies and wrapping paper.

does puppy brian have a questline? im pretty close to craft him and im also pretty close to getting jesus. if he does have a questline i might consider doing him first(since hes so adorable)

I find that the clam payout for crafting wish list items has been proportional to the number of hours needed to craft the relevant gift box. So based on my recollection the Holiday and Striped box items (1 hour) each mean one clam, the Snowflake box items (2 hours) each mean two claims, and the Fancy box items (3 hours) each mean three clams.

He doesn’t “disappear”. He is launched into your town. Running around the streets.

Anyone else having issues dropping furbles. I go to drop and it just zooms in then nothing till I close out the app and go back.

You only have to connect to Facebook to add friends. If you choose to not add friends (which is how I play) you can just connect to an email address to back up

I must be doing pretty well with this event and its drops. I only need one more wreath for Jingle Joe and by this time tomorrow I should attain Jesus. Should have been able to get him in 4 hours but I didn’t get a reward for defeating the Yeti the last time. I got Puppy Brian earlier today, and done with the rest of the characters and costumes. So, Monday and essentially ready for the next phase again as has been typical for this event.

Things have been going well for me this event up until now. I suddenly can’t drop toy bombs on my shoppers. The crosshairs pop up and then, nothing. I have to close the game out in order to get Quahog back. I’ve emailed them and hopefully they fix it as I’m 2 stockings away from Puppy Brian!
Everything else has been easy. Just got Babs and Jingle Joe, Top Hat Yeti is going down for the 2nd time in 4 more hours. Oh, and I found Jesus yesterday!

Just a heads up – the next box is going to require wrapping paper as well as candy canes (I’m not hacking it just shows the new box when I collect candy canes and gift wrap – I haven’t collected dolls in a while so I don’t know about them)!

It’s always a bit disappointing to find a cluster of green-shirted guys and drop a Furble on them, only to get yet more cookies. If there’s one thing I don’t need more of, it’s cookies (35k and nothing to spend them on). I’m still very slowly accumulating wrapping paper, but even playing flat out it seems like it could be hard to reach 50 in the 8d left. (I also have more neighbour gifts stockpiled than I can use, because Ollie is my only friend — I don’t want to add randoms to FB.)

Save up your fur balls to like 10. Than hunt down a bunch of shoppers in your town leave yourself at least 2-4 fur balls. Remove all roads except for a small patch. Create a maze like previously stated. Than open your game in a few hours and watch the patch of road. All the shoppers you were hunted down will appear. You can shoot 15 at one time that way. You must watch that patch of road every time you open your game and shoot them or you will have hunt them down again. You will have puppy Brian in no time.

Is anyone else feeling like puppy Brian is a little outta reach? I focus on bombing the nice shoppers, but I can’t get any wrapping paper. I got all the gift boxes that needed it, but now that that’s done, I get one wrapping paper with five bombings. couldnt the mall santas like, drop wrapping paper too. (Maybe I’d start getting rid of them again).

They pop up at various times for people. Doesn’t mean much other than that’s how/who you tapped.

This game seems like it would be much more difficult to get into late, with all the limited time stuff that helps out with future limited time events. I’m glad I started at the beginning, and got Cleveland for free, he helped a lot during halloween and now again with the furbals, and now the intimate apparel Peter, and of course all the free clams to help my buy John…
Just unlocked Jesus this morning, and got the last shovel for Jingle Joe…which means Mort and Lois can go back to their quests (and once they’re free, John to his). Once Angel Bruce comes into play, even the last Yeti ought to fall to the combined might. I do feel like the yeti timer should have been 25 hours, to allow 6 “rounds” of attacks, since even if you’re right there as the timer goes to zero there will still be a few seconds used.
I’m not a huge fan of the minion-bombing, but between being able to stun them (is that only since the update? I seem to recall it not working before), and their not going quite as quickly as the stewie minions, and a lot of tasks to get more of the “bombs”, they’re not so bad.
While I loved the prizes of comic-con, this is, to me, the best event mechanically, even if the pacing is a little off (a bit slow at the start, and then lots to do in short amounts of time due in part to update delays).

Thanks so much for posting more detail on phase 3. After the fiasco with phase two, I’ve been afraid to tap on Peter because I didn’t know how far along I was in the main quest line. I don’t have that many fur balls but I have iOS so I can tap the procrastinators making that task easy. I am struggling to get all the stuff for Joe, I want to get him before I get to childish yeti so I have a chance to succeed at tophat yeti without the premium character. I wish more coin items or characters dropped the wrapping paper stocking, I just used all but 1 of mine to make the 1st fancy gift box. Anyways thanks for all the detail. I look forward to the phase 4 report.

you have to beat top hat yeti as part of the questline? if you didn’t buy john and still don’t have joe…that will literally be impossible unless you have magical luck and each attack takes off 4 points every time. and not everyone is or will buy john either so if you they get joe…they are still screwed. doesn’t seem very fair or right. i’m only missing joe but even with the three i have, sometimes it takes much longer because you never know the hits they’ll give out. and of course if you have a life and you sleep, makes it even harder and next to impossible to ensure. i might lucky out having all 4 characters eventually…but i feel bad for those who wont.

Here’s my issue though: I’ve inhereted the game along with the iPad for my husband when he got a new ipad. Doesn’t remember if he did have an account, but I know there were no friends outside of Ollie. I should say nothing was linked as of when I played. Please don’t make me cry 😥

I am slowly picking away at the quests. I got the 100 shoppers, have 6 furbals in the bank with 3 characters on that, so i finally broke Chris free to get a job and also eat a ham. In 3 hours I will have enough snowflakes to get Jesus, need 1 shovel and 1 wreath for Joe, so should have him tonight…so now I can just finish up quests, kill yetis and collect cookies and stuff as I need 3 more gifts (next update I assume) to finish Santa’s wish list.
I think the only thing I won’t get this time around is puppy brian cause I only have 5 wrapping papers and 16000 cookies, but Jesus and Joseph take all that plus whatever the cost for the next three gifts so to collect another 5000 on top of all that in 9 days might be tight. Oh well, it’s ok.

On Profits for Prophets part 4, if we create the box, when we’ve already wrapped every prize and all there is left is the cookies and chance of clams, does it give you 3 wrapping stockings as the reward? I would hate to loose those 3 stockings to wrap that for nothing, I need those for Puppy Brian! I am Android, so I can’t just go tapping on those darn shoppers without the update!

A little tip for getting Babs, do not repair the train station until you have opened all the gift boxes, as you only have 5 days to get her. This will ensure that you get her with no rush or timer daunting at you.

My only problem is with getting wreaths for Jingle Joe. If you don’t have Intimate Peter (I do) and you don’t want to drop the clams for Swanson House Christmas skin, you are stuck using Bruce exclusively to collect them (well, until you get Les Bijoux building which can drop them). Well, I think that’s unfair for a rare. Maybe it should be an uncommon or even a common. Due to anyone in this situation needing at least 40 hours to collect them all (which is unlikely with them being rare. And I can attest to that as I have three sources and have only 5).

Those things are total bs anyway.
For example Not the first time I have already collected all the supposedly hardest items for joe and still not even half of the easiest or supposedly most common.

I do not have Intimate Apparel Peter which means I’ve only had Bruce working on that task. Yesterday I got the building which drops wreaths also. Since this phase started on Friday, I only have 3 wreaths…grr.

The problem is (or that I’ve found), is that when you have multiple options for a drop, then the less likely that drop will ultimately be. Case in point what I mentioned here with Joe. I mean that first item, eggnog or whatever it is, has 4 or 5 different options for the drop, which means MAYBE you’ll get one of them per run. There is so much deception in this game, thanks to TinyCo’s greed.

Well, I wrote that post yesterday and today there is a new option to get wreaths (quagmire’s cabin). I don’t know if tico listened but I find that awesome.

I’m well on my way to crafting Jingle Joe. I’ll need him to deal with our Yeti infestation. I just need a few more snow shovels…
Everything seems quite doable without spending cash with maybe the exception of finding Jesus. Getting 100 stockings from the Yeti seems so far off. I almost have everything for puppy Brian.

I apologize if you have answered this in a previous post, but I just started working on the train station to get Babs. I have everything for her except the Hanukkah tree. However, when I look at avail prizes, only the 1000 cookies pop up. Is the tree not avail until after the train station is fixed? I have a present waiting currently. Should I not open it yet to see if the tree populates into the avail gifts after the train is fixed or is it too late and I will have to craft another after the fix? Thank you.

Did you double check in your inventory? All gifts should be where listed and available now.

I did and nothing was there. Oddly, after the train station was built, I opened the gift and it was the tree, so all is good. Not sure if it was a strange little glitch or what. Thanks for the reply.
