FINALLY an update on time. Star Trek Phase 4 is officially live in Quahog!
Head over to your Enterprise and upgrade to Warp Core 4 (if you’ve met the requirements). This week we’ll unlocked the Sick Bay, Beverly Crusher and Vulcan Quagmire!

A reminder that Android and Amazon players have a patch update in their respective App stores. So be sure to download version 1.7.6 so you’re on the latest update. iOS users your update should be out soon…
To be able to gain access to ALL the new items below, not just limited… you will need to have progressed through the Main Questline to the end of A Ship Without Picard (Part 8, Part 9 will trigger with new Warp Core)

Unlocking the Sick Bay
After you’ve upgraded the Warp Core you’ll be tasked with unlocking the Sick Bay. In order to unlock the Sick Bay you’ll need 50 Life Support Energy.
After you’ve unlocked the Sick Bay you’ll then start the rest of the update…

UPDATE BUNNY 4/11: I know many of you keep asking this, so I am going to put it in here for you all to see. YES… ALL 3 WILL DROP THE HYPSPRAY. 😉
I have tested this on so many Borg. At least 50 of them now. This is what I am seeing, on the Characters themselves only the Synthesizer shows in their task list. This is ONLY visual. Visual issues are low priority and last to be patched. So do not worry about it. 
As for the Borg, you are killing them on the Enterprise that is FULL of all sorts of colorful background. This can make it difficult to see things… Like the HYPOSPRAY when it pops out. I almost missed seeing a few of mine, until I looked close at the screenshots. There it was. 
Hypospray is NOT as common as the Synthesizer, for my game I saw the bright green cubes more often then the spray. But I did see it.
Vulcan Quagmire you’ll find him in Al Harrington’s. To unlock here’s a look at the STUFF you’ll need:

A few new rooms have been added with the Sick Bay. Here’s what they are and what they’ll earn you:

Genetics Lab- 600 , 10hr Build. Will earn you 1 and 1xp/2hrs. Chance to drop Hypospray
Medical Lab- 800 , 6hr Build. Wil earn you 2 and 1xp/3hrs. Chance to drop Mind Meld for Dummies.
New Craft to Destory with Phasers
Shielded PeterCrafts are now in the game. They’re bigger and faster than the regular PeterCraft and it’ll take two shots to blow them up. You have to shoot it twice before it disappears off the screen, otherwise it comes back undamaged. So you’ve got to be quick with that trigger finger!
Your first shot you will know it hit if you see the damage on the Shielded PeterCraft. Hit it again before it disappears or it will return shiny and new and you will have to try again.

So crusher is used to clear red shirts in order to get mind meld book for quagmire…but quagmire is used to clear Borgs so hypospray can be earned. Seems like an endless circle. 😁

I hit Shielded Petercraft the first time, and it was damaged. I hit it the second time, and it didn’t get destroyed. Is this happening to anyone else?

Hey Alissa and Bunny, I have a question, and a tip for you guys. The question is does Troi clearing borgs drop the Hypospray? Its just showing the green cube for me. The tip would be to start charging people for these therapy sessions 😉 I haven’t read all the comments but I hope people aren’t taking their frustrations out on you two. I’m very frustrated with the event as well, but you two are our shining beacons in the darkness. Keep up the great work, without you two I would’ve given up on this event a while ago!

I have the option to gather stuff for the sick bay lady. Yet when I select Worf the only icon next to clear Borg is the green cube. I am not seeing a box (like when an action has multiple drops) due to this I have only been sending him on crystal tasks.
Is it a graphical glitch? Should he still drop the item for the sick bay lady?

Is anyone else having issues with update 1.7.6 crashing the game when loading? I get 1/4 through the load bar and it crashes. The only way I’ve been able to fix it is go into the apps section and force stop the game everytime i want to load it

Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall to see if it helps? If you have your game saved to an email or Facebook, and havent tried it yet, see if it helps.

Yes, I tried an uninstall reinstall many times. It crashes and actually directs me to a webpage from Tinyco that states I need to uninstall reinstall and if I am still having issues to email them. So I have emailed them and am awaiting a response 🙂

I sent over a requst to have Locucust attack red shirts and convert them to Borgs, and it would have a chance to drop the mind melds just like clearing them with Beverly would. Currently he has nothing to do at least this would be fun and soon there will be 3 people that can attack borgs so this could help keep them stocked.
My 2 cents anyways.

As a freemium player, getting vulcan quagmire will be impossible because of the Space Condoms…never thought I’d type those words..lol. So without VG, I won’t be able to finish “The Road To Recovery” quest and probably any further main quests. But I do know that I can still upgrade the warp core so I can at least access the part next week. With that said, I do appreciate that getting the STTNG characters is doable, though tough. I’ve been playing this religiously and just got Locutis this morning, but the drops for Bev Crusher seems more favorable. So for me, I will probably give up on the character skins and enjoy the parts of the game that I can finish. I’m still 5 short of Felecium but should be able to get that for Starfleet Lois. LLAP

Big thanks to Bunny and Alissa for getting this info out so quickly. This is an observation that is showing/happening in my game in regards to the two items the Borg drop… After 13 tries the only item they have dropped is one ore. What’s interesting is while they do show a chance for both items when you tap them, when you click on Worf or Troi when they are fighting them it only shows the ore. This is not the case with Mort who also can drop different items for his 6 hour task. That does show the cardboard box while he is on task.

He does. It is just harder to see the hypospray then the Synthesizer Ore. Verified it in my game many times. Also put screenshot here showing Borg drop them. Both Deanna & Worf have made them drop.

Finally unlocked Locutus thanks to ol’ Giggidy himself and was surprised he only has one task to do. As adorable as that kitten is, I don’t think I ever worked as hard on unlocking a character before and hoped he’d be collecting some energy. Has anyone had him level up and do any of his other tasks help out this week?

I’ve come to the resolution that I may not always win ‘stuff’ and I don’t need everything. Aren’t we all fortunate to have a choice?
I am still behind everyone, plodding along at level 5, but still enjoying the quest.
I am also glad to not be first out of the gate to get items. It’s exhausting and time consuming, so THANK YOU, to the diligence of Bunny and Alissa for spending both money and time, here. It’s nice to have a forged path and benefit of experience instead of feeling my way through the dark.
Looking forward to this stage. It may be a challenge, but by the time I get there I’ll know exactly what to do to maximize game play.

There is none. He is a rare Character, so it will be all up to luck. Many from what I am seeing are getting him from solo Character missions. I would suggest using the transporter post to see the results. 😉

If you are making another costume in Al’s, you will have to wait til the timer for creating it is done and tap the check mark to release all the other costumes again. Otherwise all costumes lock out while one is in progress to avoid a major game glitch and shut down. You can only make one at a time.

Is there a specific place on the shielded petercraft where we need to aim for to get hits to count? I can get one hit on it, then I wasted 4 more phaser energy on what I know were direct hits (red target area) and nothing. Like others, I’m seeing the huge frustration here since phaser energy isn’t very plentiful, even with several premium items to help generate it!

You just need to get it in cross hairs twice and hit it twice before it goes off the screen.

I appreciate all that you both do and wish TinyCo gave you both 24 hours advanced access so you can provide us a complete listing of the walkthroughs and tips & tricks so we can strategize our game play. Personally, I don’t need information that can easily be obtained through the game (new characters/buildings and what is required for each and/or what is listed in the games FAQ section). I use your site as a conduit for discussion on what strategies work best for the individual players.

Thing is… no matter when they give us the information, once it goes live it still needs to be confirmed. Many times, as you can see, they change the aspect of the game. Even AFTER it launches. So, we verify it live anyway for accuracy. This is same with the OTHER site. We get info in advance, but it is how it plays out live that gives us the best details. Words are great, but they are limited to a simple sentence. Playing it live, you understand the concept, options of play, different methods. More reason why we not only recap it ALL on the rundown, but go a step further and pick it apart more in a more detailed and isolated post. Even the basics here may not be enough for others to help them. Details are awesome. 😉

The drop rates are killing me and blowing up the petercraft gives me a Rare chance at items for lois, quagmire And locotus! Couldn’t I have more characters that helped instead of relying all on the craft?
It also seems I Must buy planet vulcan to have a Chance at Vulcan quagmire…
Also, the borg never appeared in my game! I’m Starfleet level 7, bought worf and guinan (neither of which help earn costumes or characters) newest warp core…But still no borg

Oh I’m really glad you told us about needing to hit the big petercraft twice! I’ve been stuffing to hit stuff once whilst they’re on screen so twice will be a challenge XD did it mention that in game? cos i did waste some energy just hitting it once at a time earlier whoops. anyway loving locutus’ task with the kitten & fingers crossed for Wesley crusher this week! still really enjoying this event, that’s guys!

haha once again, I’d like to take to time to praise TinyCo for changing it up for this event instead of just repeating the same event mechanics over and over (comic con, halloween and christmas events). hmm i’m still a few days away from unlocking this district though…still busy unlocking locutus, unfortunately (4/10 duct tape, 25/40 batteries, 21/35 laser pointers)

Anyone have any tips on getting the super Petercraft? The lag kills me I hit it once but can never make it in time for the second before it moves out of the screen. I am still stuck on the kill one for the main quest line.

I watch it and wait. It does a few trips where it goes down the center or diagonal from one corner to other. Those seem to be easier for double hits than the ones it just brushes the screen barely in view.

Hi ladies,
Wanted to ask your opinion – will I be required to have unlocked Stewie to get the Stewie outfit in the next phase? I’ve been trying to work on unlocking three characters at a time since the event started (the two on each phase from the Enterprise and one in Quahog).. it worked OK for Connie and Tricia but Stewie involves unlocking PB&J Brian and Falconer Peter, too. Seems like a long journey… just wondering if my efforts were in vain.

We honestly do not know how that Character will arrive in the game, so unable to answer that. If he is a costume, you may still be able to get it and just have it in “limbo” til you unlock Stewie. It maybe a separate Character like Locutus is to Patrick right now. We do not know but will share once it does go live.

This seems to be a really well thought out and fun event. Yes, some of the drops are unbalanced (from the player’s perspective, it might be helpful to have an idea of where TinyCo thinks we should be at different phases…)
If I were them, what I would do is let the event stay an extra week or two, no need to add new content to it, let it play out according to the script, but give us a chance to go through and finish all of the side quests (I have missed so much of their great dialog and humor because I am too busy working on the main quest/drops to work through all of the side quests.)
I am really enjoying what they did, I just wish I could see everything that they have put into it.

Are you making another costume in Al’s? If so, you will need to wait. ALL costumes will lock out if one is being made until you tap the check mark to complete the timer. Built in safety to avoid game lock out.

Hi Bunny and Alissa – your comments are appreciated as always! Hope people aren’t directing their frustration at you guys! Quixk question – am I right in thinking that once Locotus and Lois are unlocked (I just gave in and spent a few clams to get the last 2 or 3 felicium and pointers) the small petercraft have no value at all? Only the large craft can drop anything of use? This will save me wasting valuable PE on the small craft! Don’t think I will try for Quagmire as the space condoms seem ludicrous given than I earn about 6-8 PE per day (if all available characters attempt this over other STUFF) and the transporter has been very weak until the last day of each phase… unless I hear that most people are having some success. Beverly on the other hand looks like a good – lengthy but very achievable – challenge, so Tiny Co have got that one about perfect. Shame about VQ.

I am not seeing too much in the PeterCraft outside of Synthesizer Ores if you need those or XP and Dilithium, but those are not that high. It takes a bit to hone your skills on the larger one, but you may want to save your Phaser Energy a bit and stock it up for now. See if anything changes.

Okay, they better introduce Q in the next phase (he’s the only premium character I’d be willing to shell out my clams for. Of course I’d be ready to pay for Bryan Cranston, but I just don’t see him having anything to do with this event anyway), and he’d better drop the orange crystals and ALOT of them.

Wow I had 8 phaser energy waiting for me this morning and I went blasting petercrafts and came up with 5 laser pointers. Things are looking up. Should have Locotus unlocked today! Loving this event. Feeling a bit pressured but still can’t put it down. I’m not sure how ppl are having problems with xp. I do play a lot and try to have all my characters working on something but I’m at lvl 8 right now and haven’t bought anything special. There’s only one “district” left aboard ppl and we still have lots of time. I’m sure there’ll be more missions once Data and Stewie’s skin are unlocked but it’s definitely not impossible. Can’t believe ppl have a flip out as soon as the next stage is released without even playing it. It may be time to “delete app” for u ppl and go on a timeout like when u threw your controller cuz Mario died.

I have been playing very regularly and just scraped to level six an hour before the new phase launched (so pretty well timed I thought!). Not sure how freemium players could be at level 8 already, but fair play if you found a way!

Not saying I’m a freemium player. I bought Worf and Guinan. Just didn’t buy any rooms or buildings with clams. I said I didn’t buy anything special. I don’t speed up tasks or anything. I Just check in regularly

Well, for starters, buying the casket ejector will give you 800 XP already. Buying other decorations also increase your XP considerably.

Big thanks again Bunny & Alissa for the quick info, I would have wasted my phaser energy on the little Petercraft if it weren’t for your speedy post as when I click on condoms on Vulcan Quagmire in Al Harringtons it only says to blow up the Petercraft not the Super Petercraft. Just blown it up for the questline and it’s not easy get that double hit, going need concentrate on this one, no quick shots when I’m up in the middle of the night for a toilet trip. Might even need to put my much neglected glasses on 🙂 Thanks again for spending the clams (bought with your hard earned money) to give us a heads up. Honestly I sometimes wonder what I enjoy more, the game or what you guys have built here. Please keep it up as the silent majority appreciate you both, (and Wookie), more than you know.

Wish Tinyco would either have other characters, visiting planets, or other rooms drop life support energy. Very annoyed right now because I can’t unlock the sick bay only because I have only 31 life support energy and you need 50. Riker is annoyingly over there playing the trombone and of course whatever room that’s supposed to drop it is not. Sigh. So irritating to have this be the only reason I can’t begin earning stuff for the new characters and I can’t buy the new buildings yet.

Not sure if it’s still possible but I bought three of Geordi’s buildings (won’t show up to purchase anymore) and they drop decently and turn over once an hour.
The two hit Petercraft isn’t as drop friendly but those are the breaks. It’s still been a fun event.
The Vulcan statue on one of the new planets is cake to get, I forgot who I used but I used three characters and the chance to get it was almost through the roof. Dropped the first time.
Stick it out and enjoy the game, focus on other non-FG stuff when it gets frustrating (I wrestle my dogs, doubles for weening their energy away).

Are the space condoms common from the shielded spacecraft or are they as rare as felicium from the normal one? (I know it says rare, but thats rarely an indication of whether it actually is rare or not on this game haha).
If its common I can deal with it but otherwise I cant see me getting another phaser energy to get close to 42 condoms 😦

The best strategy that I can think of is to wait until it’s traveling diagonally from top right to bottom left. Set your cursor somewhere in its path and that should give you the most time to get two shots off on it.

Had four orange crystals this morning so I hit big Petercraft twice and got a condom each drop. That sentence would sound so strange out of context… Anyway good start on drop rates. And thank god bev crusher seems decently easy to get. Even though I’m already 0/4 on her uncommon item dropping

I blew him up once and instantly got a condom so thats a positive start haha.
I asked if it would be possible to have the shield not repair itself when it goes off screen. It would make it way ‘easier’ just because then you could wait for the spaceships to intersect and get 2 birds with 1 stone. I know the idea is for it to be a bit of a challange but atm the task to get all these items seems near impossible, but if you can line them up and not worry about repairs its still a ‘challange (of patience)’ but a much more feesable task.
Naturally it would still repair when you leave and come back.
Thought I’d post my idea here in case TinyCo read it, since They probably wont see my request in game for a while…. Because Judging by the comments here I assume they have their hands full with complaints atm haha.

Hi, You just need to Focus, when the Shielded Peter comes from one corner point on that corner on your device. As soon as comes out and you review that the direction that its going to take hit the 1st shoot and just follow the ship to the other opposite corner. Dont shoot if comes vertical or horizontal because its not enough time just shoot when its corner to corner for example starts and appears left upper corner and ends right below corner. That will give you the time to take your 1st shoot, follow the ship and take the 2nd shoot on the opposite corner. I hope this helps. By the way watch the speed movement on the ship be patience better to wait 30 seconds peer shoot that waste your ammo.

Not sure if this was mentioned before but a think we’ll need ~100 Life Support energy cubes for Kirk. For a short while his character popped up in the top right when I’d collected the lil green cubes… (At 80 about 4/5 full). Maybe…
And… Please TinyCo, in general, incorporate more premium/rarer characters for collecting. It makes financial sense as people will buy them if they’ll be more use later on, and might ease some of the issues for long term fans… Again maybe 🙂

I also noticed this little Kirk snafu early last week & it looked to be about 100 yellow. Also noticed he takes green. Maybe about 50 as I had 28 in the bank at the time and the bar looked about half full.

I am way behind but fail to see why this would make some people quite so aggressively angry. It’s a game. A GAME! There is no obligation to continue unless you are still having fun! I haven’t even unlocked troi yet but while sitting back and just doing what I can, I have seen tinyco improve and tweak drops etc so I’m pretty sure I will catch up at some point. If not, then this was primarily because it was my choice not to spend a load of clams (which by the way is the only way tinyco make any money from this game!) if you aren’t spending clams what right do you have to complain about something that is totally free!? And especially to the lovely girls who run this site so patiently. We still have 3 weeks left and normally all the intensive players are whining that they are done with quests too quickly! Get a grip people. Sorry if this count as a rant, but it was sort of an anti rant! 🙂 I just hate how mean and stupid people can get over something that is really so trivial!

So it looks like Beverly will be rather easy to get with simple grinding and enough time. Two of her items can even be earned with passive drops from freemium items.
Unlocked Lois this morning, which made me happy. Locutus still need seven laser pointers, but we'll get there. I take it, the Shielded PeterCrafts do not drop laser pointers? So I'll keep shooting down the regular ones until Locutus is complete.
I am actually enjoying this event despite some of the flaws. It feels like a challenge, but with info from this site even a regular freemium player like myself can advance well.

Remember you can hit multiple objects per blast. Wait for the ships to stack to save ammo.

Saw your update and feel it’s worth jogging in with some positivity too! Whilst I understand frustrations of everyone, I am still enjoying this. I quite like knowing there’s a chance I might not get something. Yes, some drop rates are a bit silly but getting abusive with anyone really doesn’t help. On a more general note, I really love this site and its a great resource so I’d hate to see it disappear under negativity. I really support what you’re doing and dislike the trouble you have to deal with. If I were to give any advice, it’s to be patient. It’s been said before but we have nearly 3 weeks to get everything. That’s longer than the entirety of some previous events and we’ve always seen that you unlock more than you expect when it does end. Take your time and try to enjoy it. If you’re not having fun reading all the excellent script and watching the funny actions, maybe it’s just not for you? Go out and enjoy the sun, listen to the birds and get some perspective. Plenty worse has happened. Thank you again, Bunny and Alissa. Sorry for going on and all that!

How is it possible to send Vulcan Quagmire to Planet Vulcan to win space condoms when you need space condoms to unlock Vulcan Quagmire?!? Once you unlock Vulcan Quagmire and send him to Planet Vulcan, space condoms will no longer be needed in the first place!!
It does not make any sense at all! I wonder if at times TinyCo will be drunk or smoking something when assigning certain characters to get stuff :S

He is not meant for that. He is meant for the other items in there. In other words, he would be more likely to win the Vulcan Statue for you than other items. It would be cool if you didn’t already get the item by then and he would be helpful. Bit perplexing otherwise. 😉

It does not say him SPECIFICALLY for the Condoms. He is only a Character tossed in the mix and that happens to be a prize tossed in the Mix. Nothing directly linking the two stating you NEED him to get them. It is a strange way of doing it, but I see it a different way too. 😉

Got the Vulcan statue on my first away mission without quagmire, now is my only charter missing for that plant, every combination I try with the other charters didn’t changed nothing to the bar for the stuff u need for unlocking him…

Except technically the Vulcan sign drops from the other planet. The other items you can earn at Vulcan are the Q-tips which are also required for the quagmire skin & the giant brown Tribble if that floats yr boat.

Lol. That is why I am laughing at it. Troi in there for Chocolate drops. Chris in there for Klingon Dictionaries. It is perplexing, so I only see their use was just as “filler” and for other items. Just to give them something to do once unlocked so to speak. Just find it amusing too it is within the planet to drop items THEY need. 😉

Yep, I’m pretty much out now. I’ll still play of course, but I’m not going to get caught up in trying to complete this or any event anymore and definitely won’t be paying for any more premium items/characters since they can’t even be reliably depended on for helping out during their signature events, let alone have any worth (or place to put them) afterwards. And having ridiculous item drop requirements and rates is just the latest no-go for me – there’s nothing “challenging” about an event where your advancement is at the mercy of an algorithm (just like there’s nothing challenging about playing a slot machine – you either get something or you don’t and nothing you do can affect either outcome).
Bunny and Alissa, you’ve been a great resource for this game, and I’m sorry you’re getting bombarded with so much misguided negativity, but obviously that’s a clear indication that Tinyco’s actions with the game are finally starting to strike a nerve with the general population of players rather than just a few of the more vocal ones, and you’ve unfortunately become caught in the crossfire.

We are players too, so we know what others are seeing and going through. We have methods and ways that have worked quite well to relay these specifics to TinyCo. Venting is needed. We know. What the Deuce was created not just for players, but for us too. A lot easier to pinpoint things when they are focused in one spot. 😉
What we are seeing now though has become abuse from some. That needs to stop. We are here to help, everyone is. Together we can make changes, but lighting the torches is not the answer. There are always better ways. 😉

OK, OK. Not quite there with Locutus or Lois yet, but have 11000 crystals from popping Tribbles like a maniac, building/rebuilding (calculated that 100% payout is worth a longer building time), I’ve waited with the longer tasks in the questlines (i.e. Chocolate eating & Chris’ 24h task) so those characters can help unlock the other ones.
Haven’t bought any premium items yet, but I’ve been logging in often, “harvesting” event items and characters and just left the non-event stuff. Takes like 3 mins every 2h. 5 mins if there’s Tribbles 😉 Haven’t built any decs in the Replicator (unless needed in questlines). Not sure if this can help anyone (or just grind someone’s gear because it’s so obvious), just trying to keep things on a positive note. Use the force, Harry…

PS, Bunny & Alissa, don’t let the negativity get to you. I (and many with me) love this site. Obviously for all the time you spend on helping fellow players, but also for all the time you spend in moderating and keeping the tone on the page positive.
To everyone who’s feeling frustrated: Take three deep breaths, pinpoint the exact things that is making you frustrated, write a nice, short, constructive in-game message including what changes in the event would make you happier instead of flooding this page with rage (which won’t even really help when it comes to what you’re really frustrated with).
