Hey there Tribblemakers!
It was one year ago today that TinyCo released this silly lil Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff Game. A lot has happened since then. Many new faces and names round here. Many changes everywhere.
Here at the Addicts, Alissa and Myself (Bunny) wanted to send a HUGE Thank You to the many readers we still see bouncing round since day one. We know there have been ups and there have been downs, but overall I personally have enjoyed the time spent here. Also, thanks to all those of you that are newer. We have come to learn and grow with you all. THANK YOU FELLOW ADDICTS!!
(For those New to the Addicts, HERE is a brief rundown of WHO we are.)
We also want to thank TinyCo for being the kind of people and community network they are. Even through the roughest of times and the angriest of emails from us, they still have been there… reaching out to their players, to us Addicts… helping all they can and offering support in a way NO other Company to date out there has. SO THANK YOU TINYCO!!
We also want to give a special shout out to those that made it to the Meet & Greet (more on that soon). You guys were AWESOME and we had a blast. If any of you wish to get the information again Matt shared, please email us familyguyaddicts@gmail.com. THANK YOU STALKERS!!! errr… I mean PRIZE WINNERS!!! 😛 (And thank you Dave for the drink. 😉 )
We do have some fun stuff in store, but due to extreme illnesses for Myself and Alissa they had to be put on the back burner. No worries, in usual fashion… we WILL be doing something really soon to celebrate our 1 Year Addict Anniversary. (Which technically was in March, but we wanted to wait for the FG:TQFS Anniversary too. 😉 ) You will just have to stay tuned to the site to see what we have in store.
Now to get us ready for something Alissa and Myself have in store. “Ask An Addict”. We do occasionally share tid bits and insight from our view here with you and know many of you seem to have more questions beyond that, so we are opening up the chance. We want to know what do YOU want to know? Lol. Make a list of 10 questions… yes… ONLY TEN … please. Post them below. Sky is the limit, but do please keep to the Addict Guidelines.

Hi! Happy anniversary! This game is really something, sometimes I get frustrated but most of the time cool things happen. I hope I can get some stuff I missed cause I started playing after the Halloween event, maybe in a one year event or chance to get some characters or skins.
And my questions:
1) do you guys get paid by Tinyco with money or clams to keep this blog?

Since the new patch was updated, herbert’s new skin on that planet isnt there anymore and i dont have it or unlocked it? Anybody knows what i’m talking about?

Normally when a Costume disappears temporarily, it is due to another is being created in Al’s and the timer is not up yet. As only one can be done at a time, any others “lock out” til you tap on the Check Mark to complete that costume building there. If that is NOT the case… Report it via your game to TinyCo please.

MLK, I quit playing Tapped Out recently. It was getting to be a huge pain in the butt to go through huge weekly updates. The story lines are stale. It takes forever to collect money and reassign tasks. I just don’t get the enjoyment out of it like I used to.

I’m wondering, the ones of you who still play or played tapped out. Do you still play it, if you quit, why? The ones who play it still, do you find it better or worse than Family guy? I myself used to play tapped out a lot but quit 100% since family guy came.

I still play TO, but unless there is an event going on, I only check in maybe once, tops twice a day. Both games have their pros and cons. Loved the Super Hero event they recently had! But overall, I like this game better. I could right a book as to the reasons why.

I was really into Tapped Out too.
But I must admit that Family Guy has more events, which quests and characters are more exciting.
I used to get annoyed with the length of the dialogues in TSTO too.
Tiny Co also realised that more events mean more money.
Some of us pay for clams, but players also get nice clam rewards (sometimes up to 250 clams in total in one event, which makes us less reluctant to buy clams)
TSTO’s donuts are harder to acquire if one doesn’t buy them.
But who knows, maybe TSTO will get better.

Still play both, Tapped Out tends go at slower pace most of the time which means I’ve currently got the time to play both. Family Guy wins hands down on event game play, you need strategise and work at it. I can almost feel my hands shaking when I go to shoot the Peter Supercraft. Never had that feeling with Tapped Out, even during the fabulous superhero event all you had do was tap tap tap, there was no strategising or nerves about not completing. So as much as I still enjoy playing both and creating my towns for game play and customer support it’s Family Guy that comes out on top.

Y’all have been rockstars from the get go!! Seriously have made it a fun community, have put up with some major rudage at times..and stayed polite, have put the infomation that the people need the most in the editorial. .and yet didn’t flip the 10th..20th..30th time someone asked a question that was RIGHT THERE at the top if they simply read it. Y’all have put contests on (as a grand prize winner I appreciate that obviously lol)…just because you could and that is awesome. I have told my friends to use you for up to date info…they must because if I ask something via text they shoot me a screenshot of where y’all answered it. Now for my question top 3 syfy shows ever for Bunny and favorite 3 books for Alissa
P.S. next time either of you speak to tinyco reps be sure to randomly bring up Bruce Campbell at least 5 times regardless of conversation lol…seriously you two rock!!

Congrats for surviving the year with all of us crazy folks! I know the last few weeks have been a test on your sanity, but it means so much to have a place to share tips and, yes, vent. I hope we don’t push you past your limits, because I know I’d miss the community you’ve built quite a bit if it was no longer around.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary TinyCo and to Bunny and Alissa a million thank you’s for ALL that you do (selflessly) each and every day!! I echo the sentiments of many others when I say, if it wasn’t for you ladies and the Addicts site, I would have ceased playing this game long ago. Your professionalism, dedication, patience, sense of humour and continuous support, are just a few of the reasons that bind me and keep me coming back. I’d find it hard if I were not able to start my day, with a cup of spanish coffee and reading this site. 🙂
I have noticed the big influx of new posts lately, as many of us who have been around for a while have, and I have seen big changes around here. Some of which made me laugh, some of which almost made me wanna cry but I am very proud of how you two have remained committed and stick to your values, no matter what! So again, thank you, thank you, thank you and please don’t ever be blue. Always know that many love you!!!

Happy Anniversary TinyCo. A very special Happy Anniversary to Alissa and Bunny. I’ve stated this many times before but I honestly would not have been playing this game for the past year had it not been for you Addicts who always make the game more fun for me. I apologize if I forget to thank you every time I post. If I stop playing this game I will miss this blog more than the game itself (weird but true). Happy Anniversary! Bunny and Alissa, you do a fantastic job! Thanks for all your hard work, and for spending your hard-earned cash to help all of us. Although I am very frustrated by this event, thanks to TinyCo too. They generally answer questions quickly and helpfully. I already had a response to the question I asked them this morning, as well as a request for input about last week and this week so far. So, I may just have to raise their grade. 😁 .

I wish I had found out about this game when it first came out because I missed some really cool events! I have been playing FG:TQFS since about Pink Brian, who I missed because the candies were already gone. I LOVE THIS GAME!
Also, your website is the one I visit the most. I never close it out on my phone browser and I check for update several times a day. You two girls are just amazing for all the work you put in! Thank you!

A year? Already? I remember getting this game a year ago today. It’s crazy how much time flies. A special thanks to Alissa and Bunny, for helping us throughout events and districts. And Tinyco for always trying to make us happy. I hope this game sticks around for many more years.

We might whine, complain and forget to give you gals enough credit and appreciation for what you do but we’d be lost without you.
I found this site in the first week or two after I started playing and it’s been invaluable. I don’t post much as I can be a right miserable “person” but I visit regularly and love the constant updates.
Thanks to TinyCo for the game but they should be giving you a much bigger thank you for all the time and effort you put in helping us players with their game. I hope they truly appreciate just how much work you girls do.

Congrats and a sincere thank-you for the site! When the game first started, I would just play through and get really frustrated trying to figure out why certain quests weren’t opening and whatnot, until I eventually came across this website. It’s such a resource and has made the entire experience exponentially better for so many of us! So again, thank you! I truly hope you’re compensated by karma for all the selflessness you both display day in and day out. Heck, I can barely maintain a Twitter account let alone something like this! lol! Seriously though, get some comment moderators. I can only guess how crazy that all is with both sites.
Couple questions:
1.) Ideal breakfast meal. 2.) Does anyone at your jobs know you maintain these sites (and are they super critical if they ever catch you playing on company time? lol) 3.) Happy 1st Anniversary to TinyCo, the Addicts team, fellow addicts, well to all of us I guess, we’ve made it through the toughest year, plain sailing from now on I’m led to believe. Been playing since the start, reading the blog just as long, although it took me over 6 months to make my first comment, not looked back since then. Bunny & Alissa bring something different to the game for me, a voice of reason and invaluable advice without spoilers. I hope TinyCo mark the anniversary in some way, but I know with the event it’s probably system overload over there so I will understand if they don’t. Anyway here’s to another year, I hope it includes health & happiness to all the addicts, but especially our esteemed leaders Bunny & Alissa.

Happy Anniversary!! I haven’t been an addict from day one myself. I started playing just before Comicon started. You two have been an immense help to me with all the tips and walkthroughs. I’m not an avid poster but I’m a constant reader of posts. I can’t express with words how grateful I am for everything you do on this site. All I can say is Thank You!!! So much!!! Bunny and Alissa, you two are saints in my eyes.

It’s been a crazy year and one filled with lots of memories of this game both good and bad. Since discovering this site and the wonderful pair that run it, my ability to enjoy the game went up immensely. There’ve been moments where I’ve wanted to reach through the internet and wring the necks of the production manager at TinyCo, only to be staved off by the kindness that only you girls could have provided. I sincerely want to thank you for your hard work and dedication as it has meant keeping me on board to experience a few more laughs for the many times I’ve considered removing this game, and thus this site, from my life. Those chuckles were worth it (though most were from you two and not from the game 😉 ). My only regrets moving forward is that I’ve not spared enough of my already depleted time to lend technical expertise toward improvements in how you guys functionally work this site (ala object oriented template pages and a working database for cross reference). Once I’m finished analyzing the game’s issues, technical and otherwise and have gotten that info over to TinyCo, dubbed ‘Tiny Mess’, I’ll get with you guys to see what I can do to pitch in. Though chiefly myself, I have employees that play the game as well that may be of some assistance and can tap them (no pun intended for some extra work). Again thanks for everything and look foward to whatever laughs and obstacles the future may bring.

Thank you all for a fabulous game I am so addicted I go into it nearly every couple of hours. I enjoy the humour from your comments and all the help you give us. I Don’t know of any games that have me as addicted as I am to this one and I have only being playing since Christmas and am disappointed that I had not found the game sooner.
I Feel sorry for all those people that have had issues with the game but I have been one of the lucky ones and have never (touch wood) had a problem.
Once again thank you all for the excellent game and look forward to plenty of more playing.

i swear that whole post wasn’t there when i first wrote….twas just the lil tidbit about the game over the image! so yeah whether i’m right or just blind, i did wanna throw my thanks to you guys as well. I’m not big on spoiling these sorta games but inevitably there comes a time when you need some help and this place is always useful. especially when it comes to those nasty timed events! you guys have saved lives and time many times over!!

While I completely understand the need for privacy, I would love to know more about your personal lives – what do you do in those few hours you have available each day when not updating these awesome sites. What are your interests? Do you ever take breaks and if so how do you spend them?
It’s easy for us players to feel like we know you all to some degree when we spend every day reading your posts for tips, insight and just to kill time, but what are other things about you that would make us appreciate you even more?

amazing….i love the Simpsons game, its very awesome and all that good stuff. but when you look at just how much content and updates this game has released in its first year compared to the 2 or 3 they’ve been around, you really do see the difference. granted in this case its a smaller company focused more or less just on this game while Simpsons is run by a huge company with many hats or whatever….but its still very impressive. i don’t think there’s been more than maybe a week if that between any sorta event.
and of course the events are always very cool and awesome. sure at first they sorta repeated the same pattern (halloween and comic con come to mind) but i personally still looked forward to a new even and playing it, regardless of similarities. and now this Trek update just kicks everything a few notches. yes theres frustration and upsetness by many but speaking personally, i am enjoying this one immensely.
so kudos to TinyCo…. let’s hope they never can always give this game the love attention it does, same goes for its customer service. i’ve never seen a game listen and actually make changes so often due to fan comments.

I sincerely thank you for helping me through all of my issues. You have been there for many people through the fun times (and there we many) and the not so fun times (which will, inevitably, be short lived. You have been our mouthpiece to the company and have, in turn, taken some unnecessary flack from the frustrated and pationate players. But, you have been there to offer strategies and spoilers that have helped us get our favorite characters. Thank you very much for your time-a whole year of your time. YOU have made this game more special and more fun, even in times of galactic frustration, and i could not imagine staying if not for your guidance, humor, and community. Thank you all.
