The ALWAYS drops on the Normal PeterCraft are not playing nice with those on Warp Core 4 (because that big fat meany head Shielded one wants to take all the glory… psssh), so please hang in there. SAVE YOUR PHASER ENERGY! Will Update with the fix when it is ready. 😉

Hey there Tribblemakers!
So a new 24 timed Character option has hit the game along with a new Premium Character and several Item Drop Changes…
More to come, but here are some basics.
First off, make sure you have the LATEST App Market Version of the game. Some of these changes may require you to restart your device to get them to go into “action”.
When you first go in the game, Peter will trigger a pop up for the New Character Costume for Klingon Meg Requirements. Just tap on the ! above Peter to get started.
If you already bought any of the Characters, like I did, they will be automatically checked off for you in the game. You essentially have 24hrs to buy all 3 Premium Characters to get Klingon Meg’s Costume for Free. 
Once you get them all within the allotted time, you will get a pop up from Peter completing the task and awarding Klingon Meg. 
You will then be taken to Al’s where it will take 10 mins to create her. (Side note: Remember, only ONE Costume can be created at a time. Due to this ALL other Costumes will lock out/disappear until you tap the check mark and complete the creation. So while you create Klingon Meg, Costumes like Mort and Herbert’s will disappear until you are done. )
More details separately, but here are some basics on the Premium Characters…
FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT HAVE MEG UNLOCKED IN YOUR GAME YET, THIS COSTUME WILL BE STORED IN “LIMBO” UNTIL YOU UNLOCK HER. IN CASE YOU WANT IT 🙂
FREE w/3 Below- Klingon Meg: Comes with questline (Forhead for Days), Comes with 6 tasks, 2 Visual tasks, No drops as of yet but can be used in Transporter Missions.
260 Clams- Worf: Comes with questline (Bat’Leth Out Of Hell), Voice by Actor, Comes with 7 tasks, 3 Visual tasks, 1 Always drop Transporter Energy
200 Clams- Guinan: Comes with questline (Guinan’s Guide to the Galaxy), Voiced by Actress, Comes with 5 tasks, 2 Visual tasks, 1 Always drop Phaser Energy
200 Clams- Q: Comes with questline (Q! That’s Who!), Voiced by Actor, Comes with 7 tasks, 3 Visual tasks, 1 task to drop Space Condoms, 1 Task to Clear Red Shirts, Roams Enterprise

When I upgraded my iOS I was unable to access to store to purchase more clams to get Q before Meg’s timer was done. I own all 3 characters but no Meg. Anything I can do to get Meg still?

Ive had several glitches. W the Petercraft. The buffer would stall andthe craft jumps to another place causing a misfire. Only twice, but a waste, but this would hurt w th sheilded one. Why so many condoms needed, I mean Gig eh Dee:( Havent seen Planet Vulcan unlock and dont have Q. So, I guess it means about 80 plus phaser energy. what are the chances on Vulcan if it does unlock And where did Herbert go? Theres been almost no chance of getting him.

Is it possible to get a quick poll for this event. I feel like I’m a bit behind, but I usually feel that way during the events. I’d like to see where everyone is at in their game. We can do something simple, starfleet level, warp core level, areas unlocked, characters unlocked. Set the poll to end Friday and tally the results for the weekend? I don’t know how much work is involved. I’m not trying to make more work, but I think it is helpful to see where most people are to determine if it’s time to spend some clams to catch up. Thank you!

I am having issues with the phasers when I try and hit the shielded peter craft. The button is non responsive after one hit.

Will Klingon Meg be available in some other capacity (not “free”)? I don’t think it’s right to call her “free” if we have to pay 660 clams to get her.

She is “Free” as if she was not offered that way, you would have to tack on another 200+ Clams to get her too and be around 860 for all 4 (going off the standard Clam Character rate.) I personally think it is great they offered it up this way.
I asked if there will be another way to get her… so far nothing back. Keep in mind, the other “free” way requires YOU to spend many hours & days earning items. How much does your time spent cost in Clams? Earned Characters still cost something… time. 😉

I just went into a phaser battle and successfully hit the SPC twice and got a condom. It showed on top. However, it did NOT add to my total with Vulcan Quagmire. I started the phaser Battle already having 6 condoms, so my new total should be 7, but it still says 6. 😦 I did contact support. Hopefully, they will credit me with the lost condom. I have to say, it sounded silly even talking about a missing condom, but they are so hard to get, I didn’t want to just let it go.

I have given up using the Phaser Energy now, I wasted 6 in there this morning and nothing off the Shielded Peter Craft, I must have hit it at least 4 times out of the 6 I used, and nothing, didn’t blow up at all, and that isn’t the first time either (I have yet to blow up the shielded version)?? Please TinyCo. hurry and sort this, I liked that little mini game 🙂

Contact support in-game. I am pretty sure they will get ya Klingon Meg if they see you did buy the other three characters. It may take awhile for them to get back to you, with the millions of emails they get but definitely let them know, if you haven’t already.

The problem with hitting the shielded Peter craft is if an astroid gets in the way the shot hits it and so is not counting as a second hit, also the normal Petercraft gets in the way as it crosses in front of the shielded one, as I no longer need this craft it should have been removed as it prevents you hitting if it crosses and is no longer needed. Not only have they made it a very high ammount of condoms needed it is incredibly hard to hit them to collect the condoms. I purchssed Q and premium rooms, but still not even 20% collected. It looks like I may get him but it will be close to the end so will be useless as a help for the event. Once again a chore I thought it was ment as a fun game, little did I know a year ago when I started playing that it would become a mindless shoot-em-up which I hate. I would have never downloaded that type of game. If I wanted that type of game I would be paying one, but if I want to progress I have no choice. The fun is dropping away from the game faster than a skydiver.

Don’t know if you are aware BUT there is now a Facespace collection for the 3 Premiums it is called Outerspace weirdos or something like that. I am guessing that is where my 10 clams came from. Lol. I spend 760 clams and all I got was 10 clams back. (Should be a T-shirt) Where is the irony in that especially when I got 100 clams for completing Scary Guys and Characters you buy and Comic Con Celebrities too.

Yeah but remember you got a free character, Klingon Meg, which would have normally cost 200 clams or more. I remember some characters in the past costing 500 clams, and think we had one for 600 clams, which was just craaazy. Getting Klingon Meg in lieu of clams, was fine with me because I definitely wanted her.

For Vulcan Quagmire, there is an option to get “dummy books” by clearing red shirts. But I cant find any red shirt. Also, how do I destroy shielded petercraft ?

Where are you in the questlines? You need to hit certain points to trigger certain aspects.
As for the Shielded PeterCraft…
It is a lil more challenging with this one. It will take patience and a lil time to set up a “good shot”, but once you get the hang of it, they drop fast.
Watch how the ships drop into the screen. Diagonally is the best one. Make sure the first shot lights up red before you take it. Make sure it shows the damage. Then line it up again a 2nd time before it leaves the screen.
Don’t shoot twice all at once as by the time the 2nd on is fired, it may be already passed the target and in the blue… not red.
So key points: red target. Line up 2nd shot. Watch for diagonal travel. Watch for damage. 😉
If anything. Step back a day or two and just stock up your Energy. Then when you got time to focus on it, try again. 🙂

I’ve seen a huge change in drops the last couple days. I’m getting Transporter energy drops almost every time now, including from Mort, who had only ever dropped them twice prior. Phaser energy is a lot more frequent as well. I was also able to finish up the laser pointers last night with the new always drop for Petercraft. I do wish Locutus had a task for Phaser energy though, strange to do all that grinding for items to unlock him and he doesn’t seem to have any use for me so far. Usually a character at least has something to do during an event before never being used again, but I guess we’re just skipping the short-lived usefulness on this one. Oh well. Hopefully they’ve got something in store for him over the next couple weeks. With the time left in the event, Vulcan Quagmire does seem attainable now, but will still take some time.
I had a patch update yesterday from the Play store that seems to have fixed a start-up crash issue I’d been having since the Thursday update, but since then the Life Support Energy drops aren’t adding to my total. Anyone else seeing this?

I am having the same problem as francine below. I have wasted a load of phaser energy on the shielded petercraft And still not destroyed one. I have shot it twice as it goes across the screen, I got crystals but nothing else. I have stopped trying in the hopes on a fix.

I got frustrated trying to get condoms and ending up getting Q To help me out. As soon as I got him then the Meg timer started. So it looks like the offer for Meg didn’t trigger for me until I bought one of the premium characters (Q, Worf, Guinan)?

The fixes seem to be working! Went in with my 11 saved phaser energy, got 5 Felicium (Enough to finally finish Starfleet Lois) and 5 lazer pointers. Still need 10 Lazer Pointers to finish Locutis, but another run like that and there is actually hope now 🙂
One weird thing I noticed is that the Herbert costume will periodically disappear as a drop from Cespoolus when I try to send a crew there. (Still haven’t found it) Does this happen to anyone else?

I knew that TinyCo would meet us somewhere halfway to help us. The changed drop rates make all the difference. While I was working on Starfleet Lois (got it) and locutus (2 more pointers ) I managed to get about half way to Beverly crusher and vulcan quagmire (except for 0 space condoms) without any effort. Hopefully I can round things up before the next upgrade. I’m much more confident now that I can. It’s great. So thanks ladies and TinyCo!

Between the small screen of my iPhone 4 and the instability of the game, two shots is proving to be a herculean task. I can see where this is very doable on a tabloid or much larger smartphone because you can make your first hit in one corner and re-aim before it clears the screen, but with the speed they are traveling it is very difficult to get a second shot before they leave. After the excitement of ridding myself of the Phase 3 questline by getting Locutus, I jumped into this newest one and used 18 energy just to have one successful double hit so I could get to the next task. I am fine to line up and get the first hit, but either the game jumps when quickly taking the second shot or when I try to get lined up for a second shot in a different spot in the opposite corner I can’t get it lined up before it leaves the screen. Not sure TinyCo thought through screen size and speed traveled when requiring two shots. Even a smaller Petercraft would be better because it would stay in the screen longer. You need Vulcan Quagmire to advance the questline and be able to get through future main questlines but this one is going to be a challenge for me even with increased drop rates for energy and condoms. I have reported it from my game but I guess TinyCo will view this as a “me problem” and there won’t be much I can do. I am guessing the size ratio of the Petercrafts isn’t adjusted for device screen size — that they are all the same size and people with larger screen areas have more viewing content. First time it looks like my device will stop my game advancement.

It’s too bad they can’t have a method with a traditional chance drop, even if it was a 12 hr task. At least you would feel like you were making some progress rather than having an element of the game be completely unable to be done and just feel so stuck.

Perhaps you are in need of a time management coach. Sure seems like with all of that on your plate you should be able to carve out 15-30 seconds of spare time each day to play our games for us. 😉

Really getting irritated trying to shoot the big one. I get the target lined up and get in one shot, but there is a delay before I can shoot again and by the time I get the second shot off the target has turned blue.
So far I’ve got 3 freaking condoms. 😦

OK at first I thought I was imagining things but it has happened three times in a row now. I hit the big Petercraft once and then I have it all lined up for the second, it turns red again, I fire, and… nothing!! It says I hit space air! Once I can see, maybe even twice but three times in a row? No! Is anyone else experiencing this?

I haven’t seen any red or gold shirts for ages. This is one of two of the free methods of getting the ‘mind meld for dummies’ drops for Vulcan Quagmire.

i think i have run into a problem. I used Q to clear all of red shirts and now there is none left. I thought they would respawn but it doesn’t appear that they have. Has anyone else ran into this problem yet?

Possibly another problem. I have 14/42 space condoms. After blowing up a shieded petercraft i got the drop but still have the same number of condoms.
As soon as i get more phasers i will test again. Im sure its an error on my part so im just asking if anyone else has seen that.

Report Red shirt issue and try the basics. I cleared them all with Q and they returned.

They reappeared once I made it to Road to Recovery part 6 quest. So maybe they aren’t meant to respawn prior to that. I will be clearing them again so they should keep on spawning now.

A tip I learned from a player of another game and site…
When you have a character on a continual task (back to back) you have to break the algorithm. Send him/her on another task, then go back to the task that drops. This works more often than not. Restart your device for extra measure but the tip works more often than not. TY to the original player who shared this tip.

Thats a great tip but according to support. The drop rates now have a fixed number of attempts. once you hit that number it will force a drop to help prevent people from failing too many times in a row. Switching tasks now could possibly reset that number. So i would be careful doing that. Bunny will have to ask support for clarification about that.

Yes…there is a built in addition since last year that so many NON drops will increase the possibility of a drop. I just know players say they seem “stuck” even with the change. So, resetting it now n again seems to help. 😉

I agree with Glenn. Seems broken in my game too. Haven’t had a single drop of anything useful from clearing Borg since upgrading the warp core 3 days ago; just dilithium and XP now. No hyposprays at all and not even any green energy drops any more either.
Only had 1 drop from Quagmire mixing drinks too.
I play pretty much hourly. Have cleared the cache, restarted my device and checked the app store for updates numerous times. I’m at “A Ship Without Picard Pt. 8” working on Beverly Crusher.

Make sure they aren’t dropping at all because there have been times I have noticed nothing dropped and then checked how many I had left and it seemed to have counted even though I didn’t see them drop.

I have also noticed a drop off in hypo spray. I’m still getting them from rooms but not the borg. I sent troi to do a 12-hour task but worf has been at it non-stop. I think I’ll try giving him a break.

I’ve also noticed no drops from Worf & Troi on the hypo spray yesterday and today so far. But like moviebuff3000 said, I also did have a couple drop the other day that didn’t visually show dropping out but showed on the counter, so keep an eye on Crushers counter. Still getting random drops from the rooms tho.

There are tons of things that suck about having to work on weekends but one thing that didn’t suck today was coming home and playing FGTQFS! When I left for work this morning, I had 25/35 of the laser pointers needed to unlock Lotucus. When I got home, I collected all of my phaser energy (from room swapping, character tasks and storage) and went to the previously dreaded Phaser battle..
I went armed with 10 PE’s and I hit ten out of ten! Unlocked Lotucus in a matter of minutes. Woohoo!!!
TYSM TinyCo, for increasing the drop rates! And of course, I am always ever so grateful for Bunny & Alissa, for all of their hard work, for putting up with us, for deciphering through all of the frustration to get to the facts.
I really enjoyed playing again tonite. 🙂 Do not get me wrong, I LOVE a challenge but previously, I was seeing little results for my big efforts. Today I felt TinyCo caught up, and restored my faith. Tiny Co does listen. 🙂

I had the same issue. Wasted 10 energies on failures. Not sure im understanding this right. I do wait for it to come across the screen horizontally, aim, shoot, move the target and repeat.
Sometimes the game tells me I hit asteroids that i never saw. Lots of times I hit nothing.
Having two ships does not help much either since they overlap. I think i would have liked it better if we had to upgrade the mini game to get the bigger versions after we were done with the smaller ones. I also seem to get lag but only in the mini game.
My petercrafts seem to glitch out randomly like their sequence is being reset or something. They blink. Kind of weird. I really do like the Mini game I just wish it would run smoother.
Maybe on a bigger screen this sort of thing would be easier for me but it’s a bit difficult on my phone.

I actually misunderstood the instructions for the “two hits required”. I waited until the two ships were overlapping and fired one shot. I got a drop each time. Completed Starfleet Lois today. Perhaps a glitch? Either way, I’m happy :-). Thanks for all you do to keep me up to date on all the events!

Two hits ONLY on the larger one. Smaller still just takes one. 😉

I agree. I wish the smaller one would go away now that I’m not getting drops from it. I occasionally think I’ve lined up a shot on the big one only to see it disappear after one shot and realize I’ve wasted it.

me too, i just wasted 4 energy. i put the target a bit in front of the ship and as soon as the target turns red, start spamming the fire button. target stayed red both shots, no kill. not the first time this has happened too. think i’ve managed to kill the shielded one twice now, but had at least one of the shots “miss” 5-6 times.

Don’t spam target. It never works. Not for me at least with 50+ tries. Reset the target each time.

Same here, 10 attempts, large Petercraft in the sights, the targeting circle is red but not even getting damage on the first fire. And I still haven’t had the offer of Klingon Meg in my game either. All reported to TinyCo and stuck at The Road to Recovery Pt.2 until I hear back. 10 wasted phaser crystals take me a day to collect so the hope of getting Vulcan Quagmire is a fading fast.

I had the same problem. I hit a shielded petercraft twice and got nothing. And yes, the reticle was red both times when I fired. I only had one phaser crystal left so I shot a regular petercraft but got nothing because they no longer drop any items. I still need 15 laser pointers and 8 bags of that stuff that looks like crack. I guess I can try again in 4-6 hours, IF my characters and rooms actually drop crystals. And now the replicator wants these crystals to create things. It’s like tinyco said, “hey gamers, you those things that are hard to get that you then need to use to MAYBE get an item for a charater? Well, we want you to spend them on something else.” ***** And NO, I will not be wasting my hard earned money on a character voice by whoopie goldberg. Once again, tinyco shows that they can not match up to EA and Tapped Out.

What’s going on with quagmire? I’ve had him on his 1 hour task all day everyday since this phase started, and he’s only dropped ONCE! Unsat!

I dont know how it is for you but he was dropping 75% of the time for me. I felt the drop was more uncommon than rare for me. Unless it was bugged with me and then they fixed it with this latest update. Either way I already had all of those laser scalpels collected before last nights update.

I just have to say I don’t know how anyone plays this game without following this site. It has become a must for me. You guys are the best.

Vulcan Quagmire it’s impossible to get. If you blow up ALWAYS the Shileded PeterCraft and it ALWAYS give you 1 space condom, you would need 84 Phaser Energy. Every room and character giving Phaser Energy have big time tasks and sometimes they give it, sometimes they don’t. Transporter odds are just that… odds. The only thing for sure is that you are spending resources and time. Even if you buy Q, it takes 8 hours to give 1 condom. How are you getting your Phase Energy and Space Condoms? I don’t see a way of doing it until next phase or even until the end of the event…

Yeah using Q would take around 15 days alone. That seems realllllllly long.

If that ws the only way to get them then i would say yea too long, now combine that with blowing up about 4-5 Shielded Petercrafts a day and it’s not so bad.

Until yesterday I got around 10 phaser energies a day, now I have Lois unlocked and Chris free for phaser energy, should give me 2-4 more a day
I guess within a week Vulcan Quagmire should be doable

In previous events i have been able to unlock most characters in 48 hours or less. I think it’s a good thing that it will take longer now to get them unlocked. Remember we have some extra time so keep working at it.
