My WTD??!! It’s my opinion that, with this event, TinyCo is giving their freemium players, of which I am one, the old Italian Salute. (I hope I can say that. I’m Italian.) It’s as tho they are telling us, “You’ve been given a lot of free stuff this past year. It’s time for you to buy clams if you want to finish this event.”
I hope this is not a new business model for future events. If it is, I see a lot of freemiums leaving.

P.S. I bought clams cause I had to have Spock. After all, it is Spock.

Any help would be nice I try to board the enterprise now it just crashes every time and in the middle of the last Bertram fight to boot. Thanks Tiny Co your an extra expense a month I can’t wait to get rid of fix your game using the Note 4 shouldn’t be a device issue,and by the time I get a email response back from you the event will be over.

My game did the same thing just this last battle with borg, everytime i tapped the enterprise icon, after 4 crashes back to back i reloaded my game and i tapped on a mission action that would make i think it’s wally pop up and say leave Quahog? And i tapped yes, it loaded my enterprise no problem and i’ve been able to go back and forth uing the icon after that initial time … hopefully that works for u, definitely worth a shot

I’m having the exact same issue. Just started a few hours ago too. The final form for Beltram only had 5 points left and everyone fighting him.

The same thing is happening to me! It started happening right after I got the skin for Joe. I’m on the HTC One m8. I was also a few shots of ending a Bertram battle. I’ve done all the troubleshooting and nada. 😦

WTD, I do not have Petercraft to aid in getting oxygen tanks. The other objects might give a crystal, but mainly give XP.

The Borg Cube in the phaser battle area drops oxygen tanks. You have to hit 3 times before it leaves the screen. It moves slow so it’s pretty easy.

Not bothering trying to get Kirk! Endless Boss battles!!! I remember setting my alarm for 3AM to continue the Xmas battles versus the King Yeti! Never again! I will get Picard, then give up until Friday!

OMG TINYCO YOU’RE KILLING ME! Grrr. Tapped out doesn’t have NEARLY the amount of problems with their events. It seems every time TinyCrap introduces something even menial and new to the game, it has MAJOR issues. UUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRR!!!!!
After getting locked out of the game last night for over 4 hours, when I came back the menus were completely gone so I had to hunt for my characters to try to assign them tasks. I couldn’t find a way to get to the enterprise so I lost my borg battle that I was expecting tons of dark matter from. GRRRRRR!! /rant
I found a work-around for any of you that are having menu issues. Click on the ship Riker showed up in at the beginning of this hellish adventure to the right of your screen. That will take you to the Enterprise. When you return to Quahog your menus and everything should be back and running again.

My biggest one concerns the actual design of the game, as in I’ve noticed TinyCo isn’t very good at it. It’s very common that they start with overestimations considering timeframes and drop rates of equipment just to gear those levels down to actually playable level.
Also thins like Bertram battle seem to have been designed for people who don’t need to sleep at all, as the higher you get the more accurate you need to be with the 4 hour timeframe of combat. And that IMO isn’t worth loosing sleep over.

I’m constantly sending all 3 characters on the away mission to the Borg cube. Every hour. And I’m getting the 500 do lithium drop every 3 or 4 times.
I don’t yet have Picard. The joe skin or Picard. But have 17000 dilithium – just waiting on my next Bertram attack to end then I’ll get kirk , then work toward the dark matter and dilithium needed for joe and Picard. And I’m confident that by events end I’ll have them all – I’m going for kirk first as I consider him more important than 2 skins.
But I have found the Borg cube to be a good source of payout for crystals

Picard can fight Bertram, getting him first might make more sense if he can help you get more dilithium from Bertram at higher levels.

The Borg Cube away mission is awesome. But I would suggest Picard before Kirk. Even though Kirk is way better, Picard helps with Bertram which will help you unlock everything else quicker.

the game has been working flawlessly.. until I started noticing something funny with the notifications system. whenever I have characters who have finished their jobs/tasks, the game sends me notifications. great. but anytime my characters are close to defeating Borg Bertram, the game DOES NOT send me notifications, so I forget to check. is this a ploy designed to try to get people to spend money on clams?

Do we have a chance to win Borg Betram? I’m on the last battle it takes way to long to beat him and I need Chris to do his other garbage tasks I’ve done the same one 5 times over WTD.

My WTD is with the Khan/Scotty setup. I was preparing to make the jump to get them both, but I’m now torn, especially as their dark matter drop is an 18 hour wait. I’m now thinking which premium character I should get. Yeah, 2 for 1 sounds great, plus a bonus 50 clans for the originals. But now I’m like “Maybe I should go for a TNG premium guy and have two incomplete sets”. Worf would be great for the ensemble, Q is Q, but Guinan is the most logical given her benefit on the fight against Bergtrum.
I still have over a day and a half to decide about Khan/Scotty, but feel a bit saddened that getting them isn’t going to be worth it.

I’ve only started playing two or three moths ago. I haven’t unlocked stewie yet. I’ve been doing really well in this event and been able to upgrade’ve the wasp core as soon as it goes live. Because I don’t spend clams it’s going to take me a painfully long time to collect enough dark matter seeing as I only have two characters to battle Bertram so a really disappointing end to the event knowing I can’t go much further before it ends

Same here! I am pacing back and forth in my room resisting to buy Guinan for Bertram battles. As a freemium it’s making me said that after coming all this way this is the end. I am hopeful though maybe they’ll lower the hp of lvl 5 bertram to something that can be done (though hard) with only 3 characters?

Can’t get any crystals. Im close to getting data and i can get Picard but i cant get any crystals besides the quest and action drops 😦

WTD is with all these extra hard quests and drop rates just to make them easier in time for me to have finished?!?!
The latest is all the free SF lvl 10 I’m reading about on fb. I had just bought a casket ejector, that I could t really afford, just to be ready for the warpcore. Then I check on fb and every one and their dog got a free upgrade!!
The whole event has been like this. I grind and grind and grind and then Tinyco caves in to all the complaining and lowers the requirements.
The sheilded petercraft: I used up all my crystals taking two shots, collected all I could and boom! They change it.
The frickin romulan bar: bought two that, again, I couldn’t afford. But no worries they should pay for themselves. Boom! They lower the payout.
The holo deck: I paid 80 cubes about 30secs after the update. Boom! They lower it to 20.
They ask us to grind: so i work my little butt off. and then they turn around and invalidate all my work. I try super hard to unlock the free stuff and they just give it away to the next player who just couldn’t be bothered to grind it out.

It’s just way too hard to get enough dilithium! I feel like there’s no way I’m going to be able to get enough for Kirk in five days without spending a ton of money.

What the Deuce? Even though I already unlocked Talosian Stewie I still see his icon and the completion bar full in the upper right of the screen when getting certain kinds of energy. It’s like originally he needed energy to unlock, like Picard and Kirk (which would explain why his is in the replicator and not Harrington’s) but Tiny Co changed it at the last minute and didn’t clean up the code.

Anyone else having a problem with their game not getting past the loading screen? I think it’s the pop up for joe’s new costume not allowing it to load or something… I’m on iOS device

I am having that same problem! It takes me several attempts to load into the game, most of the time it freezes halfway through loading, and I’m playing on an iPad Air 2.

My game crashes every time when i try to get on the enterprise. i lost a stage 5 bertram now. im about 80 darkmatter to short for kirk and pike and don*t want to talk about dilithium. without the prise i want get enough from it

I love finishing missions/quests but I think I will pass on some of these. I need all 5 characters to battle bertram level 5 since there is only 5 days left and I need 15k dilithium for kirk. (kirk is only character/skin I don’t have yet)
My other wtd is putting borg conseula in a mystery box. I don’t want decorations that will end up in storage. I would have prefered to just get her with clams. (I still got her but I did spend 300 clams to get her)

Sending Forengi Mort and Riker on 8 hour tasks to get sunscreen not realising I already had all 6!! I mean 8 hours wasted! Argggh!
Going back into the game to find characters wandering about in Quahog not doing anything when you definitely sent them on a task the last time you logged on, that really is a “what the deuce” moment. Luckily they are characters that offer nothing towards the event.

I’ve got some more I’d like to add now,
Wtd; I have every item needed to unlock Data, Piccard, Kirk and Captain Pike Joe EXCEPT 3 sythesizer ore, 217 dark matter and 27446 Dilithium crystals.
Still that’s only 2 dark matter and 3554 dilithium till I get Picard (trying to look at it glass half full) I had a nice bonus when Peter bought back 500 crystals from Acapella XII.

For every *** ***** event. You need about 800 to 1000 clams for these characters. I know you don’t HAVE to the characters but they have nice characters.

No kidding. I estimated that if I wanted to get all the premiums for the Star Trek event, I would need to spend over $100 actual. If I spend that much money on a video game, I expect to get EVERYTHING for the entire run of the game, not just one event. So, I spent $5 to get Worf.

Is there even a point to completing the questlines now? I can get all the dilithium I need from other sources. If the end reward is a Borg Bertram deco (like with King Yeti) then I wish TinyCo would put that out there so that I would have motivation to work towards it. As it is, I’m pretty content with being done once I get Kirk.
And what the deuce is with the cost of Kool-Aid Man being ~$25? Is the licensing really that expensive? I could get, like, 100 actual Kool Aids for that price!

I think that has to do with how hard players had to work, to earn the character during the original event. Other than him being super awesome, part of the reason we worked so hard was because we were told it was a “limited time” character. We thought he was exclusive. Players, myself included, would not be happy knowing they then later decide to release the character again and offer him at a good price. Many who earned him the hard way, would hit the roof. What would have been the point of our working our butts off for him?

i’m counting 13 characters and 12 skins. would that make this the biggest family guy: the quest for stuff event so far?
someone ought to count the number of buildings and decorations, because i think there are less of those than prior events. and, with some exceptions, the buildings and decos in this event don’t seem quite as nice (unless they let us keep the enterprise world).

Out of ALL the events the one that had the most buildings and decos is probably the Halloween event. But yeah Star Trek has it beat in number of characters and skins available

No WTD for me this week it’s been a good week, should get the last few things from the event by Tuesday. Tried Farcry 3 which is a ton of fun. Hope everyone else had as much fun with this event as I did and thank you Bunny & Alissa for all your help I wouldn’t have most the characters if not for all you ladies do, have a good weekend everyone.

Five days left of this event and so much left to collect, especially dilithium. I’m not angry, I’m not frustrated. I’m just really sad there isn’t more time.
I’m upset though that we only get two weeks with Borg Bertram. We had at least 2-3 more weeks with the Yeti and even that was a struggle.

WTD? I stopped collecting rent. I’m up to $750K and why bother when you can’t purchase much with the proceeds after available land is bought up. I spent $70 on clams for Star Trek and will just barely get Kirk before the end and that’s if I can manage blasting Bertram at the top level for 3 days non-stop. And nope no Khan or Scotty as the clams are history. I don’t see how Freemium players get much enjoyment from the game – maybe that is Tiny’s point! But there needs to be better rewards for prior clam purchases to retain cash customers.

My rant has nothing to do with the game. I just want to say I am tired of lies and liars. I am tired of a doctor’s office telling you they are doing something and three weeks later you find out they have not done a thing yet!! I am tired of doctor’s office telling you they will look into it and call you back and then not call.
I am tired of all prices for everything going up, but my income stays the same. I am tired of being stuck in California and having to pay a penalty to live here.
I am tired of the pharmaceutical companies that give a break to everyone in the world, except for the people in the US.
I am tired of seeing commercials on TV–“get a lawyer, sue some company and make a lot of money”.
I am tired of stupid people getting television “reality” series when there is no “reality” in the series.
I am tired of the entertainers who spout their opinions as if we should make decisions based on their opinions.
I want honesty in this world. DO NOT LIE TO PEOPLE. I don’t like that people can be bullies on social media and get away with it.
Employers should be honest with their employees. I had a very well paid job for years. The ACA came along and the hospital started cost saving 3 years before the ACA started. I was planning on a long vacation to Niagara Falls. My supervisor knew we were going to get the shaft in a few months. I wish she would have just hinted that maybe I should plan a different way to spend my vacation. I go on vacation, have a wonderful time. Come back to work and learn 6 weeks before Christmas that the hospital is closing my entire department. I could have used that money that I spent on vacation.
Okay, my rant is over. Thank you TinyCo for Family Guy and EA or whoever for TSTO. These games help keep me sane along with the people who write blogs, Bonnie and Alissa, DaPimp, Ryan, and Shirley for their support and hints at game play.

What about Android? Mine just started to act up. When my game loads, Quahog comes in fine, but when I try all 3 ways of getting to the Enterprise it crashes.
The 3 ways being; clicking the Shuttle craft, the Enterprise symbol, or going to a quest line and selecting a character currently on the Enterprise.

After a few days of waiting I’d just find a way to clear up the space to upgrade away from iOS 6. Apple have a review process that consists of mainly (more or less) a week of doing nothing, then 6 minutes of testing your app, after which you can release.

Wtd…….new players don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell at completing all the free content without paying clams to speed up their game to unlock characters (ie. Bathrobe Quagmire).
Wtd……..Bonnie’s drop rate when from bad to better to good to non-existent on the ore.
IMHO the should give another week to allow for all of the above reasons. This event seemed rushed on the players side, poorly planned on TinyCo’s side, and untested before release each phase. I’ve personally had quite alot of dialogue with TinyCo and have been assured everything is functioning “as intended”. If the event was planned, programmed, and tested properly “months in advance”, and everything functions “as intended”; why on earth do you need delays in phase rollout and constant changing and tweaking to the drop rate, and changes in programming?!?!? It seems nothing is “as intended” with this event. Please TinyCo, you don’t have to admit fault, but give us all another few days to a week to complete all the content that your writers work so hard to create for us. That’s truly what we’re paying for in the end.
Finally….
Wtd……….. still looking into whether or not there’s value in the premium character pricing. I mean, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So, I suppose you can charge whatever you want for them but I personally think the pricing is a bit much. I mean the premium characters have been ineffective this event and this year have been a virtual equivalent of a paperweight. I could get any Squaresoft game for a little over the cost of 1 character and have 30-40 hours of playtime enjoyment. Bundled together, we get maybe 2-3 quest uses out of a premium character and what amounts to 5 minutes of dialogue. When I thought about what I’ve paid for this game, it has been the single largest amount of money I plopped down for entertainment of any kind on an hourly basis save possibly my strip club habit I had back when I was in the Navy. Just not seeing the value. So my wtd effectively is high cost for premium stuff.

I haven’t counted, but I think I got 2000 crystals and 10 clams just today from the Borg cube. And I only send Lois to play with the Borg. Of course, the technique is to treat the game like a Tamagotchi: check on it hourly, or it dies 🙂
I’ve been up for 19 hours now, and I’ve been checking on the game more frequently than ever (life? who needs one?). I’m now in the process of sending the characters on longer tasks so I can go to bed. I still need one sunscreen for Stewie, so Riker and Mort have been sent to try to obtain it. Picard is as good as mine – just 2 DM away. Bertram 3 will to sleep in less than a minute, and Chris and Geordi have a head start on the next round (Betram 1). 300 crystals until I have enough for Data, Picard and Stewie. 6 AV left for Data. I don’t care about Kirk or Joe Humanwashingmachine.

Was waiting for Khan to add to the growing repertoire of villians in the game but 18 hours for 1 dark matter? Adds nothing to the event, past purchases are in storage, feels like an insult to go ahead and purchase.
I’d have probably gone for it if he did LESS as this just shows a complete lack of understanding.

I’m enjoying the event here and at TO but I agree I’m starting to burn out, hopefully once they finish we will get a bit of downtime. Personally I’m ignoring the quests and concentrating on Bertram, might be a strategy that comes back and bites me in the backside if there’s a prize for finishing the main questline then I will scream What the Deuce. On a crazier note my better half got bit by a squirrel on Monday, vampire squirrels in Scotland, What the Deuce indeed.

I got attacked by a squirrel a few years ago. I am sorry, but they a just bushy-tailed rats. My encounter occurred after one gnawed it’s way through an old wood stove chimney cap (it was about a quarter inch of metal). It came in and immediately freaked and attacked me. It went from jumping at me and running away over and over. It totally destroyed my house, and broke some items before I was able to get it out of my house. I was sure it was scared, and not sick so when my adrenaline wore off and I noticed the scratches and bites, I wasn’t too worried about infection. But went for rabies shots anyway, just in case. I now have a higher awareness when one is nearby and I sometimes consider accelerating when one crosses in front of me while I am driving. Just kidding, I always try to brake and let they get off the road.

I think this would be the first time I wouldn’t be able to get all available freemiums on an event. I’m at 6k Dilithium and I still need God knows how much for Vulcan, Picard, Data and ofc, Kirk. Pretty have much all the items, just the Dilithium is killing me

What the Deuce is with the Talosian Stewie object collection? I reached 15 of those funky little nightshirts and kept going. I actually collected many more than needed. Now if only we had that issue with the anti-virus software for Data! Yoohoo Baby, off to have her crush it again, and again, and again.

Bunny has addressed it many times that because Stewie is in the replicator, the items have no limit. You will stop collecting them when you craft him.

Especially since they even have a sub-category of “The Originals”.
