Hello All! (Alissa / Bunny / Wookie, apologies pre-emptively).
I had played FGTQFS daily, as much as TSTO, however due to the deterioration of gameplay and “conversations” with TinyCo I had stopped just prior to the latest ‘Trek update.
My query is, even though I’ve given up on FGTQFS, is my game a saleable item?

What the deuce, what am I going to do with all my dilithium when the event ends??? And what about the extra materials used in the replicator? Will we need these for any end of game specials or can I stop collecting now that I have everything

Just wasted over 500 clams trying to get Borg Consuela & got nothing but dark matter…. Which is totally useless since I already have everything else and a large surplus of DM…. WTD?!?!?!?

This has probably already been written somewhere. But I’m surprised George Takei was not used at all for this event. I understand they went for movie ST, so no Mr Sulu costume. But he could’ve at least had a task or two. They used Patrick Stewart for one. Unless it’s because they think not many people have him.

People don’t have him as well as they focused on The Next Generation cast, with a couple new Original Series tossed it. But mainly TNG

Whoever they got to record Scotty’s lines is horrible. Did they just ask around in the office and find anyone who said they could do a semi-Scottish accent? It sounds nothing like James Doohan, nor a passable imitation. Same with Kahn’s lines. A barely passable and poorly recorded voiceover. It’s like the guys they got are just speaking the words with NO emotion or character at all. Especially for a character that was paid for with clams, a bit of care and work put into them is not much to ask.

Would rather have the poor quality lines from the original actors than listen to Shrek and Puss in Boots. The new voices are god awful!

Lol@ Shrek. I don’t know if a legal issue won’t allow them to use the clips. So much goes on when trying to get a Character voiced. It’s insane.

Legal issues don’t have jurisdiction over soundalikes. It’s why companies use them. It’s why they have whoever it is doing the lines they have right now. But it isn’t hard to do a notice and cast someone (for free [exposure], or a small fee) who can sound exactly like them. Voice impression and soundalike is big business and avoids legal issues. If they are allowed certain lines, then that is as far as they can go with lines. But as for the voice, if they can get someone who sounds like them, it doesn’t cross any legal barriers. I do soundalike for Hugh Jackman and a few other celebs for video games and small commercials all the time. And even though I am Union and am paid more, there are many non-Union guys who can do far better jobs than what we are hearing, and are willing not be paid minimal for the opportunity alone.
Responses with “legal issues” don’t hold when it the lines are approved. It’s just a matter of who speaks them.

It still has to go through a legal process. You can contradict your thoughts on the matter all you want, but with something like this where they do have a legal obligation to the Franchise they made the legal contract with… there is still a legal negotiation on the voices, especially when an actor has passed on and a stand in has to be used. Unless you have dealt with it first hand, you do not know or can understand all the ins n outs of it. Sorry.
All those matters have to be addressed professionally and legally. 😉

I was really looking forward to this event. Unfortunately for me I have a job and have to sleep. I just got Starfleet Lois, have not unlocked Locutius, and am only halfway to opening sickbay. The realization I have come to is, you have to do nothing but play this game in order to be in line with the new phase rollout. That is simply not possible unless someone else pays the bills for you. It is sad that such an exciting and detailed event is wasted by forcing you to either rush or miss out on over half of it. The other game just started an event. I go on it the same amount as this one. I was not exactly finished with the first phase when the second rolled out, but I was where I felt I should have been with the friend issue I have on my tablet. Every 2 hours is to much.

Agreed! This one has finally burned me out on this game. It’s just event after event after event after….well you know. The fact that I did play every 2 hours practically (minus the 6 hours of sleep) and couldn’t unlock all freemium content is really what has me WTD’n and the materials I still have left just is a glaring reminder that these events are just poorly planned along with the fact that even on my premium account I’m a lil bit behind in the questline although I did manage to get all characters and whatnot. I used up much of my clams and I’m definitely not planning on giving these guys any more of my loot until they figure out how to do what should be some pretty simple math, shame on you guys TC…

I never realised quite how small the bushes are. I wanted to use them to make walls of sorts back in Quahog for my event area. They are a lot smaller than I thought, but when put together they make a lattice like shape, and also increase slightly in height. The orientation makes no change. I spent a lot yesterday buying some for the end, used about 30,000+ Dilithium, have just over 8,000 left, hope there is no new mystery box with them, also used lots of materials with lots left over. Crafted lots of duplicates items too.

WTD!! There is always this “We don’t have enough of this… We can’t collect enough of that” .. and now that the event is almost over and there are some leftovers, it is all about “Give us something to use all that”. Come On!!!!! collecting and saving is a technique and our choice to make, if you already have all the available stuff, that’s cool!! They don’t have to throw last minute items to use them. Some other players are still struggling to gather what they really need!
I believe that this kind of contradictory behaviour is what makes them change good things, like the time they gave us 100,000 cookies for saving Santa at the X-mas event… “What are we going to do with those”, or what makes them decide the extremely rare dropping rates, so we don’t have leftovers.
I already unlocked Kirk and Joe.. I have one of each item in the replicator. I have over a hundred of some energy cubes and only 8 dark matter spheres, and that’s OK! when the event is gone and all that stuff is gone too, it’s OK! we don’t need it!.

Well said. Especially, “Some other players are still struggling to gather what they really need!” I’m a premium player. I shell out money frequently to this company. (I don’t need a freaking medal or anything. I’m happy to do it. It’s something nice I do for myself. Like getting a pedicure.) But I still haven’t obtained everything. I play several times a day, manage to work 3 (yes, three) jobs and have somewhat of a life. (However, I’m so happy; as of last Monday, I completed my 3rd job and am now only working 2! Hoping to only work my day job this Summer from June until August or Season starts up again. We’ll see.)
I feel no sorrow for players who have/had “leftovers.” I’m at a point where I wish I had leftovers! And now, with the new items, I certainly won’t be tapping the Rupert Box. I’ll be lucky if I get to have the complete set of characters and skins. But, I need a break. Playing FGQFS was a fun, silly thing that’s been part of my life for over a year. It’s become more and more frantic, stressful and expensive. I don’t even get to enjoy the dialog bc I’m racing through gameplay trying to beat the damn clock. Since I’ve invested $300 in this event, they’ve got me until it ends. Then, I’ll try to check in here and there and see if glitches, gameplay, costs have improved.
But I appreciated this comment. Often, people target freemium players and say it’s doable if you set alarms, or don’t expect to get everything. Or you don’t have to. Well, as a premium player, I’m here to say I’m right there with all those who are so far behind and kinda over this whole thing.
I’m behind in life, people. This is supposed be an escape from all that. 😉

Well, TinyCo has done it again. Like The Comic Con event, this event is impossible, or near impossible, to complete. They just keep adding on challenges after challenges. 18 hours for a chance at one of 25 of an object needed to unlock a character? Or, you could drop $$$$ to unlock it. Don’t forget not one, not two, but THREE premium characters to buy. I love this game, but I’m so frustrated right now. I think I need FGTQFS Anonymous! =>{

I have not been posting much lately. I have been trying to be less negative and am pretty sure you ladies are sick to death of people whining about this event. I sent TinyCo a message venting my frustrations with this event. I know they will ignore it, but I feel better venting a little at least. Hopefully this game becomes fun again soon.
I am already watching my own kid and dog, plus one of my son’s friends (as a favor to his mother) at the bus stop and playground. Please feel free to sit in your car with the engine running (wasting tons of gas) and let your kids run around the play ground as well. I can easily handle all of them. Then shoot me dirty looks when your kid darts into the street while the ones I am watching wait at the cross walk. WTD.
My department is all ready understaffed going into the busy season. Sure let’s offer every person in it (aside from me) positions outside it with no one in line to fill the vacancies. WTD.
My wife has killed enough plants to be on the most wanted list of the Plant division of the BAU. Yet she is still planting more. WTD.

Pike Joe keeps crashing when I try to end his task. -_- At least I was never locked out of the Enterprise and was able to to get Kirk.
Also, what the deuce: They’ve been teasing us with Death’s arrival for almost a year and he’s my favorite secondary character!
