Hey there Tribblemakers!
TinyCo has released ANOTHER New District. WOOHOO!! That means more Characters, Buildings, Decorations, and the long anticipated… LAND!!! YES!!
Now what all is going into this New District? Well… it looks like we will be in for quite the Spooky Ride! So grab your Ghoul-Friends and sit tight as we venture into a land of Spirits n Zombies! Whoooooooooo. BRAIIIIIIIIIIINS!!!
In this post, I will be covering more in depth the Lazarus Portal. What you can get out of it and how to use it in your Quahog.
THIS IS A DISTRICT: NO TIME LIMITS TO COMPLETE!
First, you will need to have finished the District 10 Main Questline in order to open District 11. That means A State of Pure Inebriation Part 6. So if you have not finished it yet, you will NOT see the new content.
HOW DO I CLEAR THE LAND?
Once you are up to date, you will notice NEW LAND in the Lower Left Corner of the game.
You first will need to tap on it to pop up the District information, tap on the “LET’S GO!” and it will take you to the new grayed out Land.
Once you tap on the Land, it will pop up a 2nd piece of info letting you know you Unlocked the New District.
The first two pieces of land showing around the Lazarus Portal will now be available to start to clear. The one Left of it will cost $45,000 and take 36hrs to clear. The one Below it will cost $30,000 and take 24hrs to clear. Clearing the $30,000 one will gain you access to the Lazarus Portal.
HOW DO I UNLOCK THE LAZARUS PORTAL?
Once you have unlocked the Land by the Portal (I went for the $30,000 one) you will see the icon over the Portal has now changed to a Hammer.
Tapping on that Hammer will instantly give you access to the Portal Info.
Tap on “GO!”. The Hammer will change to a Check mark. Tapping on the Check Mark will bring the Portal to life. (Once you get to this point, you can actually move the Portal to where ever you want in your Quahog. You can also rotate it left or right.)
This is the Portal to the Underworld.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR THE PORTAL?
In order to use the Portal, you must get Zombie Parts
. In order to get Zombie Parts, you first must Unlock Madame Claude.
So first, get Madame Claude Unlocked and into your game.
HOW DO I USE THE ZOMBIES?
Once you have Madame Claude in your game, go to your Quahog Streets. You will start to see some Zombies Roaming around. (The Questline also walks you through this.) I started out with 12 Zombies roaming right away.
Now begin to tap on the Zombies. For each Zombie you tap and clear, you will get ONE Zombie Part.
ONE = ONE
Once you have collected a total of at LEAST 5, you can now go use the Lazarus Portal. (You can see the information below by tapping on the “i” next to where it says Lazarus Portal.)
WHAT IS THE ZOMBIE SPAWN RATE?
You can have a Total of 12 Zombies Spawn in your town for doing nothing. However, if you “Resurrect” them from the Portal… you can have a Total MAX of up to 100 Zombies in your town at a time.
The time of Spawn is not specific, but it seemed they showed up every few hours. As I have a Ghost currently creating, I can’t confirm right now but will update when I can later.
Side Note: Zombies will NOT Spawn while a Ghost is waiting to be unlocked in your game and you are gathering Materials for them. They will return once you can access the Lazarus Portal again.
HOW DO I USE THE PORTAL?
Once you have a total of FIVE Zombie Parts at least, you can go and tap on the Lazarus Portal and bring up the Portal Screen. What you see will depend on how many Zombie Parts you have.
If you do NOT have enough (at LEAST 5) you will see a Yellow Orange Button showing you will have to pay 
59 Clams to try and “RESURRECT“. DO NOT TAP ON THE 59 CLAMS RESURRECT UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY 59 CLAMS!
If you have enough (FIVE each try), you will see the Green “RESURRECT” button. Tapping on the Green “RESURRECT” will use the 5 Zombie Parts you have collected each time you tap it until you do not have enough and it switches to 59 Clams again. So watch close WHAT you tap. GREEN IS GOOD! 😉
WHAT CAN YOU WIN FROM LAZARUS PORTAL?
For every 5 Zombie Parts you spend, you have a CHANCE to win the following…
COMMON ITEMS (Varies by Player on what you will get)
1 Zombie
2 Zombies
10 Zombies
20 Zombies
25 Zombies
30 Zombies
RARE ITEMS (Varies by Player on which one you get first)

UPDATE 9/19: Mr. Weed is showing up in many Players games in the Lazarus Portal. He was NOT supposed to be there… not in the game anyway… and not yet. So for those of you that DO see him… be careful trying to resurrect him and report any issues to TinyCo.
WHAT DOES A RESURRECTION LOOK LIKE?
Once you tap on the “RESURRECT” button…
The screen will go to a Letterbox version showing off the Lazarus Portal. Lights spark up to the sky from it as something is being released.
Then a Pop Up Box will appear telling you just WHAT you Resurrected from the Lazarus Portal.
Tapping on “OKAY” brings that item(s) into your Quahog.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I RESURRECT A GHOST?
If you happen to “RESURRECT” one of the 3 Ghosts, tap on “GO!”. Then they will immediately show up in the front corner of the Lazarus Portal with a Lock Symbol. Tapping on the Lock Symbol will show you all the items that Ghost Character will need in order to be completely Unlocked into your Quahog for use.

New Brian’s Grave (Decoration)
WHY CAN’T I USE THE LAZARUS PORTAL?
You will have to completely Unlock the Ghost Character you “RESURRECTED” before you can make anymore attempts on the Lazarus Portal. In short, the Lazarus Portal will not be accessible until that Ghost is completely unlocked and walking your Quahog Streets. Tapping on the Portal will only give you this message with the Character Icon of the Ghost you are currently working on.
Once the Ghost is Unlocked, you can go back to trying Resurrections again.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I RESURRECT ZOMBIES?
If you Resurrect one of the Multiple possibilities of Zombies (1, 2, 10, 20, 25, 30) you will see a Pop Up telling you just how many you Resurrected.
Tapping on “OKAY” will bring them into your Quahog and they will start to wander your streets. So go tap them and get the Zombie Parts and repeat.
Remember you can have up to 100 Zombies roaming, so stop when you get close and clear some before using up the Zombie Parts in the Portal.
QUICK RECAP
Here are the Basic Steps for using the Lazarus Portal…
- Unlock District 11
- Unlock the Land by the Lazarus Portal
- Unlock the Lazarus Portal
- Unlock Madame Claude
- Tap on Zombies to get 1 Zombie Part from each
- Collect at least 5 Zombie Parts
- Go to the Portal with 5 Zombie Parts, and “Resurrect” the dead. (Zombies or a Ghost.)
- Collect Materials for Resurrected Ghost
- Go back to tapping Zombie and trying to get all Ghosts.
Zombies go away for good when you get the last of the 3 Ghosts Resurrected.

I have now resurrected (and unlocked) New Brian and Loretta. Today I was able to resurrect Paddy. The strange thing is that zombies are have just started spawning in my town (even though I am in the middle of trying to unlock Paddy). No zombies were spawning whilst I was trying to unlock New Brian or Loretta, so I am wondering why and how zombies are spawning now that I am in the middle of trying to unlock Paddy?

So I would assume if people who are new to this district and yet to unlock any ghosts (or Mr Weed), that Mr Weed will always be the last ghost that can be pulled out of the portal? Which is why he makes the zombies spawn when you are in the middle of collecting items for your third ghost and not any of the previous two ghosts?

Possibly. Just found that since they added him into the mix… those Zombies don’t seem to spawn normal anymore. No matter who else is left in there. Lol

Just to update on this: I first had Loretta resurrected and whilst I collected for her, no new Zombies spawned. I then resurrected Mr Weed and whilst I collected for him, Zombies did continue to spawn. Now I resurrected Paddie and Zombies do not spawn. I shall see what happens when I eventually resurrect New Brian but I guess Zombies won’t spawn…
Also just wondering, will Zombies stop spawning once all four ghosts are done? If so then I need to make sure I buy all shop articles for Zombie parts that I want to have before resurrecting the last ghost!

I need help, I’ve resurrected paddy, (currently trying for new Brian.) But I’ve hit a bump in the road with paddy because it wants me to collect from the southern fried founding father but I can’t find the “skin” for it. It’s just not there! Help me. Lol please

It came during his questline and should either be in your Inventory if you have not placed it yet, or by tapping on founding father, the green arrow on the pic icon in the Founding Father pop up, then place the Southern Skin

It is a District. It will take time as they are around in the game for the life of the game. Don’t stress it, he will pop up eventually. 😉

So it’s now October, and zombies no longer spawn on their own, and I’m at 4 body parts so I can’t even make more spawn. Yes, it took me this long to unlock just one ghost. *sigh* Is that it? I just have an unusable Portal sitting around unless I spend real cash?

If you still have ghosts in there and no more are coming… I wonder if the Event is triggering something… Please report it in game, but know that Districts are here to stay… you have unlimited time on them.

Is it known if I will have to collect items all over again for Mr.Weed or will I only need the 1-2 items I was short of getting him when he appeared in the game the 1st time?

Every time I try to get my 3rd ghost all I get is zombies. I see that I have 2 more ghosts (the guys) that I get but all it will give me are zombies (only 1&2 at a time) and I’m afraid I’ll run out of zombie parts and not be able to get all my ghosts

I already resurrected Paddy, Loretta and New Brian…..now Mr. Weed popped up. I’ve hit the resurrect button on the Lazarus Portal about 30 times and no luck on Mr. Weed resurrecting. Also, ever since the Lollipop update, I’ve had crashes constantly. Looking for help with this. And I would love to see Tinyco add Folders or Rooms for our inventory. That way all of our ‘Stuff’ can be organized, instead of searching through a cluster fudge of stuff for specific things.

I’ve unlocked paddy Loretta and new Brian, it has Mr weed in the list as a next to unlock and I am still spawning zombies, I used about 70 body parts so far and mr weed hasn’t shown up yet though I’m trying, and when i collect a body part a little grap shows at the top of the screen and when I press it, it tries to place a black coffin in my game but I press the check mark and the weather guy says you need 27 more body parts for this item, I don’t want it particularly was just trying to see what happened so got me thinking if I collect 27 more parts maybe I will unlock mr weed? Who knows, I’m just a lil ole freemium player anyways!!!! Long live stewie but american dad is way funnier!!

I have all three ghosts, and now the zombies have started appearing again. Is there another ghost about to be added? I am so loving the vacuum cleaner. I told TinyCo they really hit one out of the park with that one.

Did you check your inventory storage? Tap on Founding Father and open the drop down skin menu to see if it’s there?

I know that Zombie parts can be traded in for decorations and zombies appear when you aren’t in the middle of resurrecting a ghost; but what happens when all 3 ghosts are completely resurrected? Are Zombies still going to spawn? I’ve been reluctant to use the Portal since I have one more ghosts to go (Loretta) and I still want more of the decorations. I’m afraid I won’t be able to collect anymore part afterwards.

They go away. No more once last ghost is done. So any left will be the last. I know in my game when I updated it actually wiped out the last batch of 89 I had roaming. I have all 3 ghosts complete.

I’ve been on Paddy for about a week now. Can’t get the helmets. Peter and the Mayor have 12 hour tasks mark as “rare. Done the task twice a day for a week and have only got 3 of the 6. It’s ridiculous!

I am having the opposite problem others are having! I want tons of zombies, but I have only been able to play the portal 2 times. The first time I got New Brian, and I was finally able to play it again, and I just got Paddy! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! I want zombie hordes!!

I got Paddy first after about 5 tries, then for my next ghost I got Loretta… Took about 25 tries… I have so many zombies for next time! I love the portal and the zombies everywhere!

It’s a District. It won’t be instant. No worries. No need to hurry at all. Just play it when you can and enjoy the slower pace of a District. It is here to stay and will take you time to complete. 😉

Gathering the dinosaur skulls for ghost loretta will take days,when u only have two characters on 6 hr task too gather them.why cant they use all thw characters in the game to help .
The hybrid babies just walk around and only give coins,why couldnt they drop some every now and then.
Maybe someone will see the problem and get it fixed,or these walkthroughs are fun but way too long in berween to finish. It great there no time limit to finish or no one would finish any of it.

Remember this is a District. It takes time to complete it as it is a permanent addition and here to stay. So expect to work on it a while. No time limits at all. 😉

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but do zombies stop spawning while you are resurrecting a ghost? I havent had a zombie spawn since I resurrected Paddy over 24 hrs ago. Is that supposed to happen?

Oh wow I totally missed that side note. Thanks Bunny. I was hoping to having a bunch of zombies roaming around continuously, while working the district but guess I will just have to be patient. Thank you for posting the pic too. At least I was able to admire a zombie infested town from afar 😉

The only thing I’m finding odd with this district is that they’re not being very consistent with the amount of time it takes to gather each item from character to character. I am gathering for Paddy right now, and the tasks it takes to get checkered pants varies from a 4 hr task with Lois, to a 10 hr task with Bonnie. With previous character unlocks, it was pretty easy to assume that for one particular item, every character that had to gather it used the same amount of time per chance, which made it easier to gauge when to log back in to check on progress. If I were waiting on 4 hr tasks for three characters to finish, I logged back in once at least 4 hrs from now, and knew that everyone would be done. Now that it’s more random, with wider variances, I either log back in at set intervals and have no idea who is done, or log in all the time as each character is finished, so they’re not spending too much time idle before being sent back to the task again.
I know that some characters don’t always have the same time length for a task as others (for example, many characters don’t have a 1 hr task, or they might have three 1 hr tasks, but no 2 hr task), but that’s when they’ve created tasks that were just for the questline and went away when it was done, or they picked something that all the characters had (just about everyone has a 4 hr task, for example). I hope this isn’t a trend that will continue beyond this district. Having, for example, tennis balls always as a 2 hr gathering task no matter the character, and golf clubs always as a 10 hr task, no matter who is gathering it, makes it easier to plan out when to send folks to coincide with times that I’ll be able to log in and play.

It is because this is NOT an Event. It is a District. Meant to last. Meant to use existing Characters and Buildings from previous Districts (all of which it does a REALLY good job at. LOTS being used). So it will utilize tasks that will stick around the duration of the game to help drop the items. Not temporary ones as… they need to last duration of the game. It is also something you can toss in a Character here and there and not worry about it interfering with an Event. So… they planned it out better this time round. 😉

I LOVE that they are using characters from the later districts! With so many events it’s seemed like there are only a handful of characters ever used (because they are the ones earlier in the game so everyone can play, I assume). Sometimes I feel like most of my characters just sit there so it’s nice to use them for a quest line!

I am still a happy camper with this new district. I just haven’t had much luck with the zombies. I have made several attempts with the portal but all I get is 1 zombie lol I’m going to continue 😉

Waaaaaaaaaaaait there is a NEW Brian???? He pops out of WHERE??? I came to see if the zombies spawned but I see they do….I was worried I would only be able to resurrect them lol nope not to get any questions that need the portal right away because my 3rd attempt Patty dropped so I have to unlock him. I was hoping Mr. Weed would be an option I was 1-2 items away from unlocking him and ran out of time.

The start of opening the portal was fantastic; kept getting hordes and was able to earn the expensive coffin. Then Paddy showed up. After I got him unlocked, the respwaning seemed to slow to a trickle. Only had 9 zombies earned and tried to get more feet to earn one of the remaining two prizes. Second try and Cleveland’s dead wife showed up. Now that I have her unlocked, I have to be very careful or New Brian will show up before I get the last prize earned, but waiting twelve hours for 6 zombies is excruciating. It will take a whole day to earn that last one, then the wait for more zombies to try for New Brian – I am not a patient person. I wish the zombies would respawn every two hours like the mutant pups.

I still can’t access this portal I’m stuck I unlocked all the land and Claudia but I can’t acess the portal at all I have the lil hammer sitting over it and as soon as I click it the game just closes no message or anything I sent them messages reset my game n everything but still nun hopefully tiny co fix this soon I know this ain’t a timed event but I would like to b done with this before one starts

I would see if you have enough free space on your device. Delete an app or old pics you don’t need anymore. It could be it needs to pull some memory for that animation and if it is not there is could be force closing the game.
If you have set up a login for yourself maybe delete the game and download again. It could be something stuck on itself in your game.

I was having a problem with crashes too. So I went through my Quahog and put all of my decorations in storage. I only left out buildings. I’ve only had it crash one time in about 4 days. Usually, it would crash about 15-20 times a day. Some tasks I would have to put a character on multiple times since it crashed and didn’t register I put them on the task. So, just out decorations in storage and you should be fine 🙂 hope this helps!

New district is super exciting and I agree that it has me considering a major retool of my town.
My luck with ghosts has been poor so far, but with no time limit I’m not worried at all. Plus Madame Claude is a trip!

I wish TinyCo released the gates, lamp posts, etc. that appeared during the Halloween event that only was apart of the added area of the map. I want them so bad!
TinyCo needs to do a deco event and release all the decos they make for events that we never have access to. We need stuff to waste our coins on.

I’m not quite there yet. Still on the Hybrids. This time, I’m building all the available buildings first before going after the new district. The plus is I have already unlocked Madame Claude.

LOVING the new district! Perhaps my favorite one yet. 🙂 Halloween is one of my favorite holidays though, so biased. Love the new decos! Inspiring me to find more time to redo my Quahog. Awesome work TinyCo!!! TY! Better late than never. More of these update please!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble about being excited about TinyCo having given us new Land, but that fact of the matter is that we really havent been given any new land to speak of.
By the time they finish releasing all of the new buildings and decos that will go with this new District all of the new land that came with the district will be filled with all of the District 11 buildings and decos.
We can (should) expect Death to make an arrival in this district, most likely he will come with a deco or two, and there will most likely be a few new District specific buildings released by having characters doing tasks etc etc, so if TinyCo was hoping to satiate our need for land by giving us a new District, then UUUGH! they really need to just give us 3 districts worth of new land that we can simply unlock with the millions of coins the players have saved up but have nothing to spend them on.

So… instead of looking at the positive… we should instead complain and bring down the “mood” of our site?? Nope. Thanks anyway, but I still choose the higher road. If something GOOD hits the game, I am not gonna complain. I am gonna be happy. You know, the thing you get when something good happens.
Complaining about the “good things” makes companies give us less and less and less as they feel we do not appreciate (have seen it time and again in other games). Wanna complain about a positive… take the complaints to What the Deuce or their Facebook page. You will see how a “mood” can change an outlook on a post someone worked REALLY hard to put together and spent a LOT of Clams to gain info can for a post that has NOTHING to do with how much land we have, but the Lazarus Portal… to have it destroyed by negative. Go burst THEIR bubble…Just sayin… 😉

You do realize you don’t have to keep every building and deco displayed?! I actually prefer mine with a select handful of buildings for tasks I repetively do and store characters once they max level. Only having the small amount of items and characters I need out has made my game less glitch and much more problem free. Good luck being a “glass is half empty” person

You don’t even have to buy everything put under your nose, either. There are optional things, and stuff that the quests require. Limit yourself to the required things, and you’ll have plenty of room.

Have a quest to use the Lazarus portal once which I received AFTER already resurrecting a ghost, so now I can’t finish and continue that simple quest until the ghost is complete. Absolutely ridiculous.

Meh. It is a District. You will have PLENTY more chances on the Portal. Trust me. 😉

After 12 hours of waiting, finally six additional zombies spawned in my town. I collected enough to create Madame Claude this morning and trigger the initial 12. I got three chances at the portal and ended with up with no ghost resurrected, two zombies remaining and a full day of waiting. It is a district so I am not overly concerned, but I wanted to share my experience since I am betting it is rare for players to fall below five without some real bad luck.
My one additional turn at the portal gave me one more zombie so I am at four in my town and another 12 hours until my next chance. Argh!!

I opened like at least 15+ before getting one. No worries. As those Zombies keep spawing… I am actually having MORE fun invading my town with Hordes of them. 😉

Took me about 30 tries before I got a New Brian to show up. I love this District, I was going to stop playing this game after the Hybrid Babies event because of the Mobsters fiasco but just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

Took me 30-40 to get New Brian too, lucky I got those big zombie packs. Shame I had cleared all buildings and sent everyone on tasks for the night before unlocking him.
