WOOHOO!!
PETERPALOOZA WILL RUN UNTIL THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2015 @3PM PACIFIC
As usual, we will be back in a bit with more details as we go through it all live.
In order to see the content for the New PeterPalooza Event, you will need to be on the Mobile App Version of 1.11.0 (my Android is currently on 1.10.1 and iOS is on 1.11.0) and in at least District 3 with Al’s Unlocked. FYI… I ONLY see the basics right now in iOS… so this is going to slowly release.
Content is now hitting… again… this is ONLY on iOS so far. I haven’t seen anything just yet for Google Play Store. Google is live now too.Â
UPDATE: For those on Android stuck in a black screen infinite loop of trying to load the Event, they are looking into it. Hang in there. My suggestion is the same as other issues before, try to load it on an ALTERNATE device (like iOS or Facebook or anything else). Then if you are successful, go back to Android.
If you don’t have another device, sit tight and wait. Outside of that, try the basic troubleshooting steps to see if that helps.
As with many past Events, you will see that the area in the middle right side is now open for the PeterPalooza Event. The Event will kick off with Peter and you needing to repair Avril Lavigne’s VIP Chair. You will see a Hammer Icon over it in the Event Area. Tap on it to start.
CLAM SPEEDING
For those of you trying to “SPEED” through all of this via Clams, do NOT use the questline task “GO” option to go to the Character and speed the task. Doing so will crash your game. Instead, tap on the Building they’re inside of then speed it from there.

GLOWSTICKS
Glowsticks are going to be the Main Event Currency for PeterPalooza, so you will need to start collecting them. This should not be too hard as they are everywhere. You can collect them just by completing a Character Task, Questlines, Buildings, and Concerts. So there will be plenty to go around. There are also the Fan Girls walking around.
Think of these like money, once you use it… you lose it. So watch your totals and make sure you get the items that are timed first, like Meg, and those that can wait later. We will have more of a breakdown on this in a separate post.
FEMALE FANS
You will notice after starting the Questline, PeterPalooza, that there are Fan Girls Walking around your Quahog Streets. Tapping on them will give you Glowsticks.
In my town, I started out with 10 of them. Tapping on them gave me +2 Glowsticks. They respawned in my game in 2hrs in a group of 5.
SPOTTED TOADS & TOAD USERS
Toads will start to appear after you reach PeterPalooza Pt 4, Toads help to drop Glowsticks.
I started out with 10 in my town. Tapping on them gave me +5 Glowsticks Each. (I also got +$10. Looking into it.) Per TinyCo, the Toad Glowstick drops are RARE. In my game, it seemed they spawned about every 3hrs and 5 at a time.
Toad Users will appear after you reach PeterPalooza Pt 6 (though I saw them in Part 4 in my game), Toad Users help to drop Skull Guitar Picks.
I started out with 2 in my town. You will have to get Rockstar Peter Unlocked to clear them out of your town. It will take Rockstar Peter 3hrs to Clear a Toad User. The Payout in my game was 5 Skull Guitar Picks along with Peter’s Task Payout.
FESTIVAL MERCH KIOSK CENTER
This is essentially your Crafting area. You will collect Materials to gain additional items for your Quahog. Here is the rundown of what is currently available at the Festival Merch Kiosk.

CONCERTS
You can put on a Concert with a Musician in this Event, but you will have to get there in a step by step process. Essentially, you will have to earn items to first Unlock the Musician’s ability to perform… then they can perform.
Tapping on the Stage will let you know the details. For Instance to start, Avril Lavigne will require…

Once you have all the items for Avril, tap on the Concert Stage and it will show you that you now have 100% of the items and to “START CONCERT”.
You will then be taken to the “Start a Concert” option. If you are ready, “START CONCERT”. Avril’s lasts 2 minutes and you have to hurry and collect Fans during the Concert.
This is were it will be REALLY critical that you have all your roads in sight as you will be directed to clear Fans off of them to gain Stars. Stars = a better payout from the Concert.
Example: I got 24/40 Stars (12 Fans) in the 2 minutes and my Payout was 80 Glowsticks & 30 Skull Guitar Picks
Now you CAN go again for an Encore Concert.
ENCORE CONCERT
Once a Musician is done with a Concert, you earned your Stars, and got your Payout… you can go again. This time for an Encore Concert. You will once again have to Collect Materials or Perform Tasks in order to gain access to the Encore Concert.
This time after Avril’s Main Concert, these were the options for an Encore Concert in my game…
- Have Avril Perform a Secret Show-Â 10hrs
- Have Rockstar Peter Turn It Up To 11-Â 11hrs
- Have Quagmire Remember Rodstock- 8hrs
- Have Joes Detain Unruly Teenagers- 12hrs
Once all the Tasks were done, on to the Encore Concert.
This time Avril & Rockstar Peter could Perform. Time to “START CONCERT”.
Then it was time to “CHOOSE PERFORMER”, I chose Rockstar Peter this time.
The Fans Spawn about every minute so go tap and clear them as fast as you can so you can let more spawn and repeat. Again, keeping roads where you can see them will be critical. This time I got 58/80 Stars. Same Payout as before. 80 Glowsticks & 30 Skull Guitar Picks. Â More on this on a later post.

I can’t get past the encore concert mission because I have no idea how to do it. I did the first one with Avril but if I click on the stage now it just comes up with collecting the items for the Joe character concert. Help ??

I’m not sure where to even ask this…..I unlocked Peter and Avril, held Avrils concert, hadn’t unlocked Meg’s costume yet, I got the quest to do the encore concert, tapped the wrong thing somewhere and that’s when all the stuff for joes costume came up. I’ve looked through different posts and have seen the screenshots of the encore part but I don’t have that anywhere, so do I have to finish joes stuff and then have his concert before I can do encores with the others? If so how do I get guitar picks–I’ve been hiring beekeepers like crazy but the drop rate is only 2 sometimes. Also I couldn’t find the spawn rate for the toad users….I’ve only had 4 total and haven’t had any more spawn, I cleared 2 over 24 hours ago, the cleared the last 2 almost 12 hours ago.
I hope all that made sense, I don’t know how I got everything so messed up. Thank you.

Yes. This is why they sent pop ups to the game that the Encores were ending. Now you need Joe to access it. All I can suggest is to report it to TinyCo from your game.

I got the kwik pick kiosk because I really wanted Makeover Meg and I accidentally started her timer really close to when the event began.
It was a waste of 150 clams though, because I already got her with 3-4 days left on her timer, so don’t get the kiosk! It barely helps plus you only get 1 pick per 4 hours you have to collect manually and with the concerts and the rockstar peter skin you get more than enough picks you need.
Btw do NOT remove the roads. I have a fully expanded Quahog with all the roads. The more roads you have (or maybe it’s level idk I’m on MAX) they gave you an abundance of fans so I cleared 5 stars (80/80) within 1 minute of the concert; didn’t even need the full 2. I’m not that good/fast; I think it’s connected to the roads/maybe you get so many concertgoers per road idk.
Right now I completed two concerts, have all the skins, all the merch, Bunny or anyone, do you know when they’ll release more material? Not used to being ahead of the curve lol I usually struggle and often don’t complete the events on time so I don’t know I’m supposed to do since I’m ahead for once :p.

This is why I tell people to not panic and see how it plays out. Lol. Of COURSE more will come. We are barely 4 days into an over MONTH long event. Patience. People complained so much how hard the last Event was and now you are complaining how easy it is? Seems kind of silly, right?
Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game. See where it gets you. If you REALLY want to buy something with Clams, then do so… but at YOUR own risk. They have always been there as “optional” items. The choice will always be up to you to make that jump, but you also have to take the risks with it to. So keep that in mind. đ

I just accidentally found they released what you’ll need for the upcoming characters! (I was looking for if there was a free avril album hidden somewhere for ios lol).

Rapper Brian 700 glow sticks, 70 guitar picks, 7 concert tickets, 6 hacky sacks (like meg he’s from when you open the kiosk with 7 days so maybe save up the sticks and picks first then click?)
Snoop Dog is 260 clams. Sad face I won’t be able to get him sick I wasted my clams on the quick pick otherwise I’d have enough!
It’s all under the faq section. It will all be released with week 2 and it says you have to finish PeterPalooza Part 7 first.

It has been in works to patch since the Event. It is in the Main post for the start of Event. Android is patched. iOS coming. Just tap on the building they are in and NOT the task to “GO” there.

Thought I’d mention this since I don’t see the info anywhere, but there is a limit to how much you can make in the kiosk. Two polar bear sharks, two totems, one cross bone fence, one meg (obviously), and I have six other fences so far and they show no sign of stopping so I’m not going to buy anymore. Just thought that was interesting.

You can see if it will allow you to by going into the Main Menu and see if there is a “headphones” icon at the bottom. That is where the “Free Music” is kept if you have not redeemed it yet. As well as the info for it after you redeemed it. I have not tried on iOS to do this, so let me know what you find. đ

Here I am on 8/12 on iOS on my iPad and still don’t see the event starting up.. This seems to be a regular thing with events. How come they get delayed in the roll out? Seems like they don’t start for me until at least two days into the event. Max player here, no updates being shown in App store…

Sounds like an issue with YOUR device or service. Have you tried just going directly to the App’s home page and getting to the Update from there?

Are you out of the Country where they may cause delays in info from the U.S.A. Markets? Do you restart your device? Log in and out of your App Market to force it to Update any changes?

One 1 pick every 4 hours for the pick stand? That doesn’t seem like a proper payout when we need 100 for meg..140 clams seems high for that payout..what do you think..otherwise you need 60 hours of Peter tasks just on clearing toad users and this doesn’t allow you to do all the quest that you need to complete….tinyco always does this…how hard can it be to make the earners separate from those needed for quests

Possible glitch. I earned 5 guitar picks by Peter clearing a toad user. Checked my inventory and none are there. Have sent an in-game message to TinyCo about this. Has anyone else seen this? Gonna be hard to earn meg in the 5 days i have left if i can’t accumulate any guitar picks.

Not under inventory. Check the main event and click meg and it’ll show how many picks you have. It’s not an item so it won’t show under your inventory.

How odd, i just had all the hocky pucks drop for me this am, so odd thought they were rare and the glow sticks were common, silly rabbit, should have known! Rare items anyways drop faster than the uncommon ones! Guess guitar picks will be the new tubas?!?

Don’t you know? “Uncommon” is always the least common drop, moreso than “Rare” or even sometimes “Extra Rare”, with the possible exception of that Rare Tank Helmet I’ve been trying to get five of for nearly two weeks now (“Wanna fight about it?”)… Good thing Mayor West isn’t needed for Peterpalooza…yet…

Chris doesn’t have an ability to get glowsticks in my game. I was surprised by that, since I thought that goth Chris might have something available. No option for glowsticks for any of his skins or his normal character for me. Is this is a glitch with my game? Or was their a misunderstanding and Chris doesn’t have an ability for glowsticks?

Also, I absolutely love this event. Don’t understand the complaints, considering that it’s been fairly easy to obtain characters. I already have rockstar Peter and avril lavigne and working towards makeover meg. Regardless of the timer, you should still have plenty of time, between Peter removing toad heads and performing concerts. Great event and great help from you, Bunny and alyssa, when available. I would honestly be lost without you guys. For all the crap that you have to put up with, just remember that there are so many of us that are incredibly grateful for your help. Its nice to know that when the event seems confusing, a quick stop here will clear it up. You might have to search through a couple posts, but the answers are always there. Thank you from your forever grateful fans. đ

I’m assuming that I’m not in phase 2 since I started the event late, having not noticed the update lol. I’m sure it’s said somewhere in the walkthroughs what you have to do to enter phase 2, but I missed it somewhere. Does it activate by finishing a certain part of a quest? Or is it based on an ammount of concerts?

Disregard my other comment, I checked into your first phase 2 walkthrough and realized that I haven’t completed PeterPalooza pt. 7. I am still on PeterPalooza Pt. 5, since rockstar Peter has been quite busy with other tasks for me. I’m really trying to unlock makeover meg. With it being such a long event, and no glitches to speak of (knock on wood) lol, they’re will be plenty of time for everything. Thanks again. I know it isn’t, but you make it look easy.

I’m working on Part 1 of the questline, but Peter’s been stuck in a long task and I haven’t had him check wrist bands yet. Is that the problem? Thanks Ladies! I don’t have all the characters in the game at the same time (there are just too many), so can anyone tell me which characters have tasks that give you glow sticks and I can recall them from my inventory đ

Seems there is no way to get guitar pocks until progressing in the storyline and glowsticks pretty much require clams to get at a reasonable rate… but let’s wait a day to see how it goes once Peter’s skin is unlocked.
In other news, my game has started crashing when I try to spend 1 clam to rush a job. TinyCo doing everything to force me into to spending clams… but I can’t!

My game crashed too, but then I clicked on the building/person directly instead of getting to them another way (clicking Al Harrigton’s then going to peter’s outfit, clicking on Lois’s action and trying to speed it up – It doesn’t work this way. Just find out where Lois is and click that building – it Should work to speed it up with clams đ

The toad users appeared in my game as soon as I finished Pt. 1 of the main quest line. The fan girls appeared at the same time (ten of them). iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3.

Lol yeah i’m sure NONE of us had any idea that for Makeover Meg a timer would start when you clicked on that tent…So doubt alot of players will unlock her WITHOUT using clams(myself included). i was thinking TinyCo., would have known about all the complaints in these certain “timers” it’s not really fun especially this way at all.đ

Has no one played the game since start? Does everyone not know this will be the standard every event that SOMETHING will be timed and watch out before you tap? It isn’t just this game. The other we write on has timed items too. Pretty much every game I play has timed items in one form or another. Standard gaming practices. Get educated first before jumping in is all I can ever offer in my opinion. (That’s why we are here, we make the mistakes so you don’t have to.) đ

I mean i didnt need it because i had like 50 picks left over after claiming meg. The concert gives you a ton if you get 5 stars! The quick pick is q complete waste of clams sadly…barely any payout and unnecessary anyways!

So one way to earn Guitar Picks to unlock Avril is have a concert, but to have a concert you need Avril unlocked?

And the only other non-clam way to earn Guitar Picks is clearing Toad Lickers, but to do that you need Rockstar Peter, so really you need him first, the only way to get Guitar Picks. đŚ

MAJOR GLITCH!! Just tapped on the Punk Junk store via Avril Quest and the game took the glowsticks, removed it from the quest but never started the build. Now what? Contacted Tiny Co. Let’s see how this pans out. I’m pretty pissed.

Very odd. You sure it just didn’t disappear into your land? I know sometimes there are visual glitches and the game strains when higher Memory items hit the game and impact play. Tap the area to double check it is not there. Also, double check your ALL and BUILDINGS Tabs in Inventory to make sure it didn’t go there too. Let us know.

I think the line for Makeover Meg that says “She is timed for less than 7 Days!!” should be changed to “She is timed for less than 7 Days!! 6 if you’re on Kindle Fire”. =P *sigh* Don’t understand how TSTO updates are almost instant and this still hasn’t been updated.

And FYI… TSTO is NOT instant. I know personally it is not. iOS… then Google… then Kindle later on. Sometimes hours, sometimes a day. (Kinda helps when you write about it on both sites.) đ
FYI…it has NOTHING to do with the game houses… it is the “approval” process the app markets go through before allowing an app change to go to their users. They won’t release it until they “test” it and “approve” it first. Amazon is by far the slowest of them all. Always has been and sadly probably always will be.

Well it feels instant to me at least =P I pull up your TSTO site in the late morning and see there’s a new event, go check the Kindle store, and it’s already there 9/10 times. So I’m not sure what Amazons hold up is with this game this time around.

There have been many times in the past when TSTO was new that it took a long time. Heck, it was almost a year after launch before TSTO even became available on Android for players. It does suck, that I know. Mainly why I have a Kindle, iPod, and my Android Devices. So when it hits… I have SOMETHING to access it with. đ

The event splash page shows Alice Cooper in the Premium Character position. Guess I will be missing out on that one…
It also appears that Greased-Up Deaf Guy is in the event, meaning he will be a timed acquisition (as opposed to a District character with no time limit). Cannot say I am too happy about that…
Free music with character unlock is actually a good idea, so no complaint there (now if only it was someone I would actually listen to)…
Also not thrilled about Meg’s skin being on a countdown right out of the gate, but I am willing to wait and see about the material drop rates before passing judgment…
In summary: Some good, some bad – let’s see where this goes…

I think the drops for them are every 3-4 hours. I was one my tablet all day and after the original 10 around 6PM I didn’t get anymore until 10PM.

Make sure ALL streets are visable. They move fast and hard to track if you have any hidden. đ

I only have one road after I nuked the town and I haven’t gotten around to organizing anything yet (it’s been that way since before the mobsters event so can’t really call it not getting around to it anymore, but I can try. ) Plus on Avril’s place to get glow Sticks the button to girl fans pops up saying there aren’t any. But thanks for the fast reply, now I’ll just wait for the one from TinyCo.

I was on part 3. They’ve stared spawning about an hour after I posted. But they’re still taking longer then two hours. It seems more like they’re taking four to six hours I’d say to spawn. But it’s fine by me.

Like I say… I was only assuming. It seemed like 2 hrs between each spawn in mine. Games will vary. If it is 4, go off what your game drops. If it is MORE than 4, please let me know.

I’m already stressing too. đ The guitar picks have me worried about making Meg on time – even buying the clam building only gives me 1 pick every 4 hours, and she needs 100. I see in the post that Peter has a 3-hour task once you unlock his costume, but that will take a few days. By my math, I’ll need clams to finish Meg in time. Or I could buy 10 more Kiosks, haha.
So, B&A, I was starting to worry about you! I kept refreshing the site to get event info but just saw the top post about New Brian (didn’t scroll down) so thought you hadn’t posted anything for the event yet. Knowing how quick you two always are with these, my imagination was coming up with scary scenarios that would have prevented an update. Glad it was just my error in not looking further! đ

I get that this is the first day of a 5 week event, but it just seems to me that just about every building payout seems to have an unusually long wait time to pay out.
I started the event late (android bluestack)
I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and that fixed the ?Black Screen of Death lol)
So even though I started late I had all four of my workers free so I was able to get to building all four of the buildings, and I had most of the key people ready for tasks, but it just seems everything is taking sooo long.
I bought 2 Neon Rhinos, so getting Glowsticks should not be a problem for me at all (once they start paying out,,uuugh 6 hr payouts.

Give it time to ease in and get the hang of it. You will get a lot more Materials from tasks, Questlines, Concerts, and the “wanderers” in town than the buildings. Unless of course you buy the Neon Clam ones. đ

I wonder why they didn’t have a notice to update in the game itself? I been checking my game often enough (iPhone) that I would have seen it, but I only found out by checking this site at 10:15pm.

Do you have your app on Auto Updates? If so, you won’t be.

I have the general App Store auto update disabled on my iPhone since I want control over when I update what. But my other apps often notify me on launch when an update is needed, so I know it can be done within the app itself. TinyCo has definitely notified about a needed update at least once or twice before in the past few months. I always do hard quits every time I check the game.

Yep, I am. I always get auto updates for FGQFS, or a pop up if it needs one. This time, been playing for Patty, wondering when Concert Event would hit. No update, no in game pop up. The push notifications aren’t good, as my tablet gets 1, 647 of those and they tend to get lost in the crowd. Oh well, went to GP and got it now. But looks like I wasn’t alone in wondering why it didn’t update or tell me to update.

I found out the update was ready when I clicked on a neighbor that has ios (they have the golden pool) and it said I couldn’t visit them until I updated. I am on Android.

Try tapping on go and see if you tap around the Kiosk and the item in the game if it will help. Also see if you store it in Inventory, then tap go and place it after then to see if it will help. đ

I had purchased the fence in advance, as I saw it would be needed, and it did not acknowledge mine either. Tried doing the placing it in inventory and bringing it back out, still did not work. Finally, just bought a second one, and it acknowledged it. Glad it is a cheap buy! *chuckle*

Does Peter’s “Check Wristbands” 30 seconds task continue to give 3 wristbands well into the task list? I haven’t progressed “PeterPalooza Pt. 1” due to no available worker to Repair Avril’s VIP Chair, so I have Peter endlessly heading to the Clam for 3 wristbands a pop. Haven’t seen others mention this yet, even though folks are running through other calculations concerning wristbands.

By the way, is something like that something that could be put into a ‘strategy’ section of the site? Or perhaps front and center on a post that kicks off an event? I know you don’t want to tell people HOW to play the game, but some folks might appreciate such insight.
I’d also like to see some short list that isn’t buried in the site to show a character and/or building’s usefulness during an event. For instance, when TinyCo adds some other person to get an object midway through an event, one may never notice because they’d already been using the three people (perhaps from inventory) that they were told were needed up front.

Thing is… our priority is to play the ENTIRE Event to see if any “surprises” pop out to warn players on. Not to mention Guides on other things. Outside of that, posting strategy in the comments here like you did are helpful to Players. We can post things all over our site, but it is still up to Players to actually pay attention and read it.
Many times we see people say “I never knew that” as they are commenting on the very post with EXTREMELY detailed info on the exact matter. So, we do what we can. đ

I did the same thing. I had about 300 glowsticks before my builders were free. It definitely was a nice head start to get my buildings purchased. Wish it would have stuck around.

Since I have to play on Bluestacks on my computer and it tends to freeze up if it’s downloading an update in the background, while moving my mouse I accidentally clicked on the kiosk and started Meg. Guess I’ll be missing her because I don’t think I can get all the glowsticks for Peter, Avril AND Meg in less than 7 days. đŚ
The bright side is that I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to get all the guitar picks either, so no harm, no foul.

Do you think you can focus on Avril, Unlock her, and get her concert started? You can earn a lot of both fast that way. Also, try and finish as many questlines as you can and run short quick glowstick paying tasks to load em up.

Does Meg automatically start counting down from the update, or do you have to go into the game to begin? I won’t be able to get into Tapped Out or TQFS until tomorrow evening at the earliest, and I don’t think I’ll have missed much, but I am worried as I will have lost a fair bit of time for Meg.

OK I got in, as soon as I reloaded the game, the countdown started. So it isn’t from the launch date, it is as soon as you reload the game and begin the event. I’m happy about that, as it means I haven’t lost a day for her.

Agreed but I also suspect publishers see Amazon updates as an afterthought. They are focused on the Google store and the Apple store because those are their big cash cows…not that it should take up that much of their valuable time to submit a build.

They all get the info at the same time. It is odd. I have seen many times a company submit it 2 weeks in advance to try and help, still takes longer to release and hits AFTER iOS and Google. Something is odd with Amazon.

This is what I did… do NOT use the task in the questline to trigger it. Instead, tap on the building itself and go from there. Outside of that, they are aware.

They should really give Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley tasks to get glow sticks, I mean it does make sense and to have them to be able to do concerts also. Although what’s makes sense to us doesn’t necessarily mean it makes sense to Tinyco. I do think it is cool to get albums of the musicians that you unlock. I am assuming that includes the Premium ones also. So I take it that Greased up Deaf Guy is the grand prize according to what I understood from Peter’s dialogue in the first part.

That is a bit vague… drop from where? If a Character or Building that always has been and always will be only one. From the Toad Users… I got 5 each time I cleared them (noted in post).
